Laichmoray Hotel

Nice decor

A bit noisy through the night, seemed water pumping though the piping. Rooms next door and above could hear talking and movements

The staff is super friendly. One of them carried our very heavy bags right to the top floor. Spacious bathroom. Nice restaurant. Very clean room and a nice homely atmosphere. We had breakfast in our room.

Beds weren't comfy. The hotel is located very close to a roundabout with heavy traffic, starting pretty early in the morning. Have earplugs with you and you should be fine.

Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff

Rooms very comfortable. Food was excellent at all meals. Staff very friendly and helpful

Access to rooms involved several short staircases.

Room confortable and clean. Breakfast very good, exactly what we ordered, and at the time we asked for. Thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Our room (26) was upstairs, then downstairs. A bit of a trek with luggage.

The breakfast was plentiful and well cooked. The location is very good for walking around the town or travelling to the surrounding countryside.

Everything, staff were wonderful

No answer here, all was brilliant

The hotel was clean, comfortable with everything you need, great location, friendly staff and amazing food

Stairs, but can’t be avoided in an older property

Easy to g to with adequate parking.

Bedroom and corridor carpet are quite tired as is furniture.

Fantastic location, friendly and very accommodating staff ,they couldn't do enough for us . Amazing house Definitely would recommend staying Value for money

Nothing it was amazing

Great location close to the station. Staff are really lovely, very helpful and welcoming. Room and bed comfortable.

Despite window being open room was a little stuffy.

Staff are all very welcoming and could not do enough for you. Beautiful outdoor seating area for drinks - if weather permits. Dinner menu was varied and food was delicious. Perfect boiled eggs for breakfast!

There is no lift - this did not spoil my stay as stairs do not pose an issue for me. And I was asked if I wanted help with my luggage.

Personnel très accueillant, souriant et serviable. Hôtel et chambres très cosy et propres. Bonne cuisine.

Fantastic hotel . Great room . Great staff and breakfast was amazing

Moderne Einrichtung. Sauber. Nettes Personal. Kostenloser Parkplatz vorm Hotel.

Bestellfrühstück (Zettel am Vortag ausfüllen was man frühstücken möchte)

All staff were professional, attentive and efficient. Impressed!!

There wasn't anything that we didn't like.

Gutes Frühstück, Parkplatz inklusive, Restaurant im Hotel

Catered for my dietary requirements. Helpful staff. Looked after my luggage during the day. Helped me carry my luggage up to the third floor. Good kettle. Brought me oat milk for my tea.

The room was noisy in the afternoon because of the refurbishment going on. The room was too hot and I had to ventilate it by opening windows and keeping the room door open for a while. At least the extractor fan worked well.

Proximity to the town and parking at the door

Nothing springs to mind.

The garden, the room, the friendliness of the staff.

Service and food was exceptional. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

The room was a little small and dated

location Dinner Breakfast Room

a wee bit pricey for a mon night

Staff was nice, it was clean, good value for money and very convenient.

Cannot think of something.

Excellent stay as usual, beautiful dinner and a great breakfast. Have

All good

It was a good location and good sized rooms! Bed very comfortable and staff were very friendly!

A little dated and pricey for what it was.

Late opening reception was very helpful for late check in. Breakfast was excellent and very efficient with pre-order the night before. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

There was a very good choice at breakfast. Likewise for dinner. very well cooked. Tables were nicely spaced out.

We would have preferred a bigger room but it was fine for the 3 nights.

Very clean. Comfortable beds. And the most important, very welcoming stuff!

Booked the hotel for my mum. Staff were friendly and helped in every way. Absolutely would book again

The staff were lovely and friendly and clean room too , breakfast lovely. Bathroom clean too And towels so soft . Bed comfy and bedding and pillows were nice .

Bar was expensive . Even though not a lift stairs are easy. Could do with nicer toiletries

Proximity to station and town centre

Great location, clean and very accommodating for our short stay

Nothing

Hotel very central to town centre. Plenty of parking spaces. Room spotless, bit tired looking. Great size for 2 of us. Good sized bathroom with shower over bath. Toiletries available. Breakfast was good. You order it the night before which we liked. Anything to cut out waste. We ate in hotel on the Saturday night. Meals were good. Normal hotel prices. All staff were vrry efficient. Friendly without being pushy.

Room had Large ceiling to floor windows which overlooked main road.Could do with some net curtains for some privacy.

Easy to find, easy parking nice staff - top breakfast!

Liked the personal touch of ordering breakfast night before, served to the table at your requested time. Rather than a buffet breakfast. Plus it was substantial

Mit Liebe eingerichtet, bis ins kleinste Detail. Hilfsbereiter Gastgeber.

Everything about this place is perfect. Meals, staff, bed all perfect

The staff were excellent

The room was fine - an average size, decent view, comfy bed, high quality linens, etc. There was a wedding taking place and we were worried that the noise would bother us - apart from hearing the odd skirl of pipes, it was silent! The room and bathroom were scrupulously clean. Large fluffy towels. Friendly staff. Breakfast is pre-ordered the previous night, which appropriately reduces food waste. It was utterly delicious!

Very friendly staff, lovely food, great place to stay wish I could stay longer

You could hear banging during the night from upstairs room

Very friendly and efficient staff. Our room was spacious with a large bathroom which had both bath and shower and was exceptionally clean and looked newly decorated. The food is amazing with generous portions. Breakfast is very well organised and service is fantastic. Ideally located near station and town. This was our second stay here and we were delighted to see that everything was at the same high level as before. Hopefully we will visit again soon.

Absolutely nothing

El personal . Bonica parada de camí a inverness, qualitat preu molt mes alta q a inverness sens dubte.

L'esmorzar podria ser millor. Preus alts com a tot escocia.

Excellent location. Friendly staff. Well appointed room with recent decoration. Excellent breakfast served to specification offered on request. Excellent evening meal choices.

Minor observation. Shower pressure and temperature weren't great.

I always have a great stay at this hotel.

Location good, the staff upon check in was lovely the staff member at check out didn't say a word. Breakfast was good and plenty.

There is zero sound proofing, we stayed when there was a wedding going on, I appreciate it may not be hotel policy but if we were told there was a wedding happening we would have booked elsewhere, my partner and I went for some rest but we got less rest and sleep than we would at home. The wedding went on until 1am, we could hear the music, attendees from the wedding started going to rooms at 1am, every door closing in the building sounds like someone coming into your room, the hotel has such little sound proof we could hear the man next door coughing from 6am. Anyone showering or going to the toilet sounds like a waterfall in your room. Some areas in need of TLC, like the pink bathroom shower seal, its a cheap fix, why leave it pink.

Friendly and helpful staff. Reception staff were pleasant and efficient at check in. Service and food at both dinner and breakfast were excellent.

Lovely staff and excellent location. Room was clean and as advertised. Breakfast was standard for Scotland. Luggage storage before check in.

Very noisy from other guests - walls are very thin and I found it hard to sleep.

We were visiting our aunt in a care home which was just round the corner, might come by train next time as the station is directly across the road, breakfast was excellent, massive plateful and served piping hot, could not fault the service 10/10

Hotel was easy to find and located well for roads into and out of Elgin, There's plenty of parking and I was able to leave my motorcycle around the back which I was really happy with. Reception/check in was first class with a really helpful member of the hotel team. Service was generally good and the bar was a reasonable place to have a drink. There's a retail park nearby and a walk into the town centre can be done on 10/15 minutes or so.

The bathroom was miniature - approx 30" wide, I think the way the room I had had been designed was that it had probably been something else before a bedroom. Although the bathroom was big enough for me - I can imagine that some folk might find that just too small for them. That aside it did not impact on my stay - so much so that If I was headed that way again I would be happy to stay at the Laichmoray Hotel

Fantastic freshly cooked breakfast

Staff were very friendly, great location and breakfast selection.

Room was very small, especially the bathroom.

Central, plenty of parking

Nothing

Very comfortable , clean and tidy 👍

Everything! The room was perfect, exceptionally clean Reception extremely helpful Food excellent - had lots of GF options. Dinner was so good All very efficient

Couldn’t fault anything

Good location and room we had was light and bright.

Location was easy walking distance to town. Staff were really pleasant and helpful. Food was excellent. Hotel was spotlessly clean. Would highly recommend hotel.

Not a fault but would be helpful to have sockets with USB charger points. We forgot to bring a charger plug and couldn't charge phone.

Above all, the staff, who could not have been more welcoming, friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location, central for everything. We had dinner and breakfast and both were delicious…with more than adequate portions!(Especially the breakfast!). The room was very comfortable, a good size with a nice bathroom with a lovely bath(bonus!) and not too warm. We booked this at 10 minutes notice after a disaster of a booking at another property…and it was an absolute gem of a find. Good, honest, traditional hospitality.

Genuinely, couldn’t fault it.

It was in a good location near train station.

Staff friendly. Rooms clean. Good, free parking. Good breakfast.

Location very noisy - on a main road. No lift.

Staff were attentive, polite and engaging. Small requests facilitated without hesitation.

The property was clean and very comfortable. Meals were good and well presented and staff very friendly.

Nothing

Sehr Zentral, unheimlich nettes Personal

Stunning hotel and beautiful location staff both professional and friendly and could not have been better

Cannot fault

Lovely hotel, staff great and really friendly. My room was very clean, fresh feeling decoration. Really comfy bed. Ate in the restaurant and good meal.

Great breakfast and evening meal

All the staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. The food was hot and generous. Rooms clean and nicely decorated.

No lift but wasn’t a problem for us.

Breakast was excellent, plenty of choice. Staff very attentive. Overall very good.

The food was excellent and staff lovely. It was very clean and well decorated and highly maintained.

The fact that there was a party going on in the hotel, no warning that we were in for a loud night. No air con. And just a bit grim for what you're paying.

Staff, so friendly and desperate to make our stay best

Nothing

The room was comfortable, the staff were lovely, and the food as very good.

The shower had very poor water flow.

breakfast very good, room big and beds very comfortable, garden area excellent, staff very very good, parking perfect.

bar closed early, a little bleach around silicon seal in shower to remove mould

Beds were not comfortable at all! I ended up sleeping on the floor for a bit. Room was ok size. Staff and breakfast was nice overall.

The bed! Truly uncomfortable.

Dinner, very nice meal. Very good breakfast.

Lots of stairs but there is an entrance for disabled.

Central location. Beautiful historical building. Bar and restaurant available during the day to guests too. Hotel is busy with locals and visitors so creates a lovely atmosphere.

Very convenient, restaurant on property after a long day out was nice

The staff were friendly

Worst sleep I've ever had in a hotel in my life. Warm room, no air conditioning, no fans or air conditioning on restaurant at night and heat was unbearable. Taps in the bathroom were too small to use - terrible soundproofing - didn't sleep a wink. Overpriced and overall really poor other than the staff who were all very nice

Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Good location and friendly staff. Room was clean and bed was comfy. Desk for me to work was also helpful.

Bathroom was tiny and struggled to move around . I am not a big person either.

It was comfortable the room with a lovely bed and clean The staff are really friendly & efficient Breakfast was good with good choice And the restaurant good food

Not much

Really liked the breakfast and the option of having room service or takeaway breakfast. Rooms were spotlessly clean and staff were really friendly and always smiling. Wouldn't hesitate to return or to re commend to others

One small thing. There was a rip in the net curtain which I wouldnt expect in a deluxe room

Well equipped, clean, friendly. Great communication with a problem after booking, could t have been more helpful. A lovely warm welcome and excellent staff.

Nothing

Location close to city centre and supermarket. Rooms and bathrooms are quite spacious. Good breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Though no lift, staff help us bring luggages upstairs.

Good parking facilities, very clean inside, staff very friendly .

Not keen on eco showers, sounds from adjoining rooms very noticeable.

As always a lovely stay ❤️

As locals, we don't stay here, but for many years, we have visited the Laichmoray Hotel for family meals & family occasions. All the staff are great, and the quality & choice of food on offer is superb.

Friendly staff

Sink was behind the toilet, thus had to lean over the toilet to brush my teeth, room 151

Lovely room, excellent service and good food
