The architecture and the ambience of the hotel was great .. the staff were lovely and most helpful. The special gin on arrival a delightful treat. I’ll be back 💜
Our room was minute but the hotel was fully booked
the location and facilities
Gebäude, Inneneinrichtung, Lage alles perfekt. Gutes Frühstücksbuffet

The atmosphere, vibe and staff. The breakfast is a must have. The staff was very helpful with suggestions on areas and events to attend along with restaurants. The character of the building and the rooms were elegant and quaint.
Nothing to complain about
Fantastic staff friendly helpful service
Sehr ruhiges & sicheres Quartier. Absolut empfehlenswert!
Second time staying here and it never disappoints. Staff were very welcoming and friendly upon check-in. We received an upgrade to a suite which was unexpected but such a gorgeous surprise. The suite was huge with lots of space for lounging to relax in. Air con a bonus for the warm weather and lots of natural light from the large windows. The location is perfect if you want to be close to Dublin but away from very busy tourist areas that can be loud. Breakfast had a fab selection.
nothing it was all perfect
Lovely leafy location. Very quiet so I slept really well.
No gym.
It was a beautiful place, well maintained and appointed.
The room was very small. Unless you are very familiar with your roommate, it might not be for you.
Beautiful, great location, welcome drinks and friendly staff
Everything! The patio especially. It was calming and beautiful to look at the architecture of the building. The room was primo. The bathroom large and well put together.
There was not one thing we didn’t love about it
My parents stayed and thought it was exceptional the staff interiors breakfast complimentary drink stand alone bath and treats in room location and overall standard so high. The staff all dressed so professionally and the attention to detail they really enjoyed their stay and will return amazing ☺️
Beautiful Greta location and rooms. Snacks and drinks on arrival were a lovely touch. Nice small hotel felt cozy
Helpful storing our bikes safely. Breakfast was excellent. Welcome snacks in the room were appreciated. 12 noon checkout gave us more time to explore.
Room was small.
Liked the complimentary gin and tonic, staff was nice and froendly and helpful.
Rooms and bathroom are tiny. Limited parking. Recommended restaurants in shopping district-it is nicer
Charming and lovely
The staff were exceptional, the location great and the property was extremely clean and tidy
When we arrived we were given the keys to a room which was very small, I think it’s called the shoebox. I wasn’t aware of this small room as the rooms advertised looked different. This room is very small and there is not much room for two people at all.
Lovely decor and quiet location.
The rooms are on the small size.
This is a lovely, calm boutique hotel. The staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. The breakfasts were excellent and the little extra touches such as the complimentary gin and tonics on arrival (which can be enjoyed in the courtyard (if weather permits!)) and the biscuits and chocolates were much appreciated. The on-site car parking was a major plus for us.
These issues are not major negatives, but I am raising them here for completeness. We stayed at the Wilder twice (at the start and end of our trip to Ireland). On the second occasion we were upgraded to a suite which was very spacious and a beautiful room, but on the first occasion we were in a standard double room which was a little cramped (limited room for luggage and hanging space), particularly given the room price. This is probably a necessary consequence of converting a heritage building (and there was a lift, which was a bonus for a heritage building). In an ideal world we would also have preferred to be, say, 10 minutes walk closer to the central city areas. However, we were still able to walk everywhere we wanted to go and there is a Luas (tram) stop nearby to the hotel. Also, the extra walking distance comes with the benefit of a quieter location near the canal (and also the opportunity to have a car park).
This establishment has a good vibe, it is estethically pleasing, compact and quiet. It is well appointed. Welcome gin and tonic is provided.
The hotel is somewhat compact and cramped, as is the bar, and our room was, too. The view was of the backyard. The bathroom was barely more spacious. The entire establishment would benefit from refreshing.
Very stylish, friendly staff, great art, beautiful breakfast room and great breakfast. Tea and cookies in the room. Everything felt very deliberately designed, beautiful and cozy.
I would have loved a bath tub. 😅
They have convenient on-site parking, a great hotel bar with excellent drinks, and complimentary umbrellas that were very handy on rainy days.
The room was extremely small, which I realize is what I booked, but for the price I would have preferred to be closer to the main attractions. With four bags from traveling around Europe, we could barely move around the room—honestly, it was almost comical at times. It also ended up being a longer walk than I expected for what I paid, and in hindsight I probably should have kept my original reservation at Trinity Townhouse Hotel instead of switching to stay where my friends were.
The property is beautiful, high quality decor and maintenance is kept top notch. Staff is friendly and food in restaurant is delicious!
Rooms are on the smaller side and it’s a bit expensive
The breakfast was out of this world and the staff was so accommodating. All the little thoughtful details made for a wonderful stay.
Wish it had been a little closer to most attractions but not a big issue.
Really pretty place with a lovely gin and tea room. Great breakfast! The staff were kind and helpful.
Rooms were a little more tired than I pictured and the beds quite firm. A slight musty smell but opening the window helped.
Breakfast was great
Rooms were small

Lovely staff , location and breakfast
Although room described as “Shoebox” it’s too small and “double” bed too small
The upgrade to the main floor suite. The very charming decor. Clara, the receptionist's lovely warmth, enthusiasm and help.
The awful music in the tea room. The general mediocre service by the tea room staff. The rather unappetising seafood plate I had there. However, we stuck to the continental breakfast the following morning and that was good. So, we were a bit apprehensive about the quality of the cooked food overall. Also, the bedroom pillows weren't comfy, they were rather thin as was the bed covering.
This is our second stay at the Wilder - such a gem in the centre of the city. We love the history, the tasteful rooms, the generous en suite, the delicious breakfasts and the charming staff. We will be back.
It’s a boutique hotel not a big country house hotel - no gym, spa or sauna but for a convenient comfortable stay in a place that feels like stating with a tasteful friend you could not do better
Bel endroit. Accueil chaleureux. Décor soigné. Emplacement idéal, proche du centre.
Just charming boutique hotel
Lovely location
Nothing ….. breakfast was amazing staff are so nice
The Wilder was the perfect hotel for our long weekend in Dublin. The neighborhood is walking distance to pretty much everything we did and just steps from St. Stephens Green. Our room was nicely furnished and comfortable and the added small things like the welcome treats (snacks in the room and a G&T down in the bar), Nespresso machine, and turn down service added a sense of luxury. We had breakfast included in our rate and it was well stocked with fresh fruit, smoothies, breads, meats, and cheeses. We could also order à la carte. I highly recommend the mini Irish breakfast. Everything was cooked to perfection and you could tell they take care in sourcing their ingredients. All in all I would come back to The Wilder next time we're in town. Side note: the water pressure was fantastic!
We booked a small double room and the room was definitely tight and lacked storage. That's just one of the downsides to such an old building. We only had carry on suitcases and had enough space to lay them out, but anything more than that and your bag would soon become a tripping hazard. In addition, the shower was quite small with not a ton of elbow room, but the rest of the bathroom was spacious and had enough room to move around.
The location is perfect, we walked to some of the nice places. Nice and clean room, lovely treats in the closet and brilliant breakfast that you can’t miss! Plus the shower is so comfortable and relaxing. We enjoyed our stay and if any chance we will go back.

An excellent location and comfortable bed were the only positives
Our room (like all others apparently) had no storage in which to unpack our clothes. The only provision was a small horizontal rail with a few hangers - useless for sweaters and underwear etc. The staff seemed disengaged and unenthusiastic. On our first evening we decided to try the “light bites” on offer in the bar - it was 10 minutes plus in the deserted room before any staff presented themselves. Once food arrived it was adequate but my plate was whisked away before my wife had finished. Our shower was faulty and was duly fixed - we returned the bottle of Prosecco sent by the manager as an apology as neither of us touch the stuff - we were asked if perhaps something else might be offered in replacement but I don’t see it as my role to suggest how the hotel should react to complaints. We decided to give The Wilder a final shot at redemption by having breakfast this morning. We were shown to our table but once our food was served that was the only time a staff member visited our table unprompted. I had to go in search of someone to ask for toast - the 3 waiting staff were all in the bar area talking amongst themselves - both of us ordered poached eggs - all of which were served solid. The field mushroom appeared to have been dehydrated to pulp somehow - all so very disappointing. Not once was I offered more coffee after the initial cup of tepid fluid arrived. Not a single member of staff smiled nor did anyone speak unless we spoke first. I wanted to like the Wilder - we travel frequently and stay in boutique hotels across Europe and without doubt this was the worst we have experienced. I’d rather be able to not live out of my suitcase and forgo the book of haikus on the pillow… “thoughtful flourishes” are pointless if you do t deliver the basics. The Wilder delivered a poor experience at a top end price.
Decor, location, style, breakfast, complimentary G&T offered, hot towel on arrival
It is quite pricey. Very limited car park
Gorgeous hotel- good location and lovely breakfast
Room was very small but with a city break you’re not in the room for long!
Truly lovely, both the common spaces and the rooms. Great design and little touches (like fresh hyacinths in dining room vases) that make all the difference.
The floor in the shower was a bit treacherous.
small room
Nothing
La propreté , emplacement , et le calme
Chambre petite , voire étroite , pour le prix
Great location. Relatively small. Peaceful.
We paid top money for a suite - very nice
Ground floor suite location - parking outside window
Quality of room, bedding, food everything.
Nothing. Wished we had stayed for longer.
Attention to detail. Decor. Welcome Gin * Tonic. Exceptional.breakfast selection, extremely artisan produce with provanance. Extended cooked offeeing, which was cooked fresh and served
Small.issue..... i had to park kerbside and pay a total.of €24. Not a big problem, thats expected in city. And the location was extremely safe and quiet

Beautifully presented, near to main sights, comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic.
The heat in the room, so hot, but this is a tiny thing out of the whole stay
Great location & spotless
Nothing
Had a wonderful stay! Very charming hotel in a great location. Staff were lovely and I appreciated the complementary gin and tonic on arrival!
The staff were friendly and attentive. The location within the city was ideal for my trip. The design of the rooms was quite well done, the tiling in the bathroom was very nice. And I was lucky enough to get parked, once contractors had moved one of their vehicles.
The room wasn't big enough for a six foot male. The shower was tiny. And traffic noise made sleeping difficult, as the sash windows had secondary glazing, which was unlocked. The complimentary snacks consisted of Crisps and Chocolate. Also I can only describe my carpet as grubby, and there were dirty white marks on the extra upholstery over the bed and in the Bar/Breakfast area downstairs (I didn't want to sit down on the first chair I was offered in case it dirtied my trousers)
Breakfast excellent. Room small but very nice staff very welcoming
Only minor thing I’m 5’7” and had difficulty reaching floor from the lavatory
Friendly welcome, great food, fabulous breakfast and lovely G&T bar
Nothing
This may be the best hotel experience we've ever had in Dublin. The location couldn't be better; it's a 7 minute walk from Harcourt luas stop, but feels like it's in a quiet and peaceful area. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and couldn't do enough for us. They did so much to make us feel comfortable. The room and public areas were also spotlessly clean. Thank you!
Although the room was beautiful, a little more wardrobe / hanging space would be great.
The property is classy, the dining was excellent, and the location was perfectly nestled on a quiet street within steps of Dublin's major city center attractions. Definitely somewhere I would stay again.

My stay at The wilder Townhouse was by far the best experience I’ve had staying in a hotel! I must say what made it was the amazing staff, they were super friendly, caring and helpful along with the hotel itself very clean has a very welcoming vibe to it all around 5 out of 5 stars! Would 100% love to stay again and for a longer period of time !
There wasn’t anything I disliked about my stay here! It was 10 out of 10
