Nirmala Villa

I had a very pleasant one-night stay at **Nirmala Villa, Habaraduwa Central**, from **11 July to 12 July**. The stay was comfortable and relaxing, and we really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. The room was **clean, spacious, and comfortable**, with good facilities for a short stay. Everything was well maintained, and the cleanliness of the room and bathroom was appreciated. The surroundings were also nice and peaceful, making it a great place to relax. The **staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful** throughout our stay. Their hospitality made us feel comfortable and well looked after. Overall, it was a **very enjoyable stay with good facilities, cleanliness, comfort, and friendly service**. I would definitely recommend **Nirmala Villa** to anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay in Habaraduwa. I would be happy to visit again!

We were okay with the new room, that they gave us, after we were complaining about our "Luxury Quadruple" prison! But that was about it unfortunately. The beach is stunning beautiful though.

The initial room was a desaster, didn't have a window and was feeling like a prison. One of the pools was under construction (okay, it's off season in the South in August), there was shit beside the pool which was cleaned up only hours later despite tons of personel around. Breakfast room is more a cantine, than anything else. There was construction work on the property and the kitchen didn't have any coffee etc. despite a fully equiped kitchen. Also Kogalla itself we would not recommend to stay after being to the other places around from Mirissa to Hikkaduwa.

Das viele Grün im Innenbereich sieht toll aus, aber es gab mehrere Baustellen. Das hätten wir sehr gerne vorher gewusst. Statt zwei Pools war nur einer in Betrieb, wg Umbau. Essbereich neben einer Baustelle und recht wenig Auswahl bzw Abwechslung an Essen. Die Zimmer rochen nach Chlor oder Insektenschutzmittel, jedenfalls recht unangenehm, aber Lüften war wg den Moskitos schwierig. In unserem Zimmer gab es viele Käfer, die an der Wand herumkrabbelten. Es gab in der Dusche keine Shampoos und Duschgels wie in anderen Hotels in Sri Lanka, die günstiger waren. Für den hohen Preis hat für uns das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht gestimmt.

Die Baustellen, Insekten in unserem Zimmer, komischer Geruch in den Zimmern (vor allem im Erdgeschoss), nur ein Pool in Betrieb... Es gab bei uns zwar eine Küche, aber keine Teller. Der Vormieter unseres Zimmers hatte Milch im Wasserkocher aufgekocht und anbrennen lassen, so dass der Wasserkocher total stank.

The stay and breakfast were worth the price. The breakfast leaned more towards an English style, and they also had an action corner. The room was pleasant and clean, and we enjoyed using the pool as well.

We used the pool between 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM. During that time, we noticed that the chlorine and chemical levels seemed high. It caused discomfort to our eyes, and we could also smell chlorine on our bodies afterward.

La piscina no tenía el agua muy clara Las habitaciones eran amplias pero no muy cómodas y en el baño y cocina tenía ventanas que no se cerraban por lo que entraban bichos La ubicación no tiene mucho, si tienes moto y te mueves a Unawatuna está bien, pero si no no hay mucho por alrededor

Although the location is a little interior, but convenient to commute. , The ambiance, services, comfort, environment was expectionally great. It is an eco style villa with carefully selected funa and flora and lush greenery - super!. The family room given to us was extremely clean and the bathrooms excellent. Rooms are equipped with all conviniences, which made us very comfortable. They serve English breakfast with a reasonably good spread. An addition of local breakfast like string hoppers etc would have been super. The staff needs to be more friendly. It's fully worth for the price.

The chef at the breakfast room needs to be trained to at least smile. An unfriendly type of guy to the guests.

Habitaciones de buen tamaño, pero no demasiado acogedoras (el menos las nuestras). Las fotografías son mucho mejores que la realidad. Buen desayuno y cenas correctas (no incluidas en el precio). El personal me pareceió muy amable, especialmente las que daban servicio en el comedor.

Esperaba más de lo que me encontré. Quizás el problema fue ese. Sin poder decir que fue mal, no creo que repitiera. Si no tienes un vehículo a disposición, un poco alejado. En la habitación hay algo de "cocina", pero escasamente equipada (no teníamos intención de usarla, pero lo comento igualmente)

Wir bekamen ein kostenloses Zimmer Upgrade. Wunderschöne Anlage mit tollem Pool. Freundliches Personal. Wir würden wieder kommen!

Aangenaam verblijf met ruime luxueuze kamers met alles wat je nodig hebt. Ontbijt is inbegrepen, in buffetvorm, op zich basic maar zeker voldoende.

Het zwembad dat op alle foto's staat was buiten gebruik voor onderhoudswerken. Dat is jammer en was niet aangekondigd. Gelukkig is er wel een tweede zwembad, dus dit was niet problematisch.

Nasz pobyt był naprawdę fantastyczny i z czystym sumieniem dajemy ocenę 10/10. Największym atutem tego miejsca jest zdecydowanie przemiły, serdeczny i niezwykle pomocny personel, który pomagał nam praktycznie na każdym kroku. Już na początku polecono nam kierowcę tuk-tuka, który podczas naszego pobytu stał się właściwie naszym prywatnym kierowcą i przewodnikiem w jednym. Był dostępny zawsze, kiedy go potrzebowaliśmy, woził nas w każde miejsce, które chcieliśmy odwiedzić, niezależnie od pory, a przy okazji podpowiadał i pokazywał nam Sri Lankę od lokalnej strony. Dzięki niemu zwiedzanie okolicy było niezwykle łatwe i przyjemne. Sam personel hotelu również wielokrotnie pomagał nam organizować różne wycieczki – także takie, które sami sobie wymyślaliśmy. Wystarczyło powiedzieć, gdzie chcielibyśmy pojechać lub co zobaczyć, a oni pomagali nam wszystko zorganizować. Czuliśmy się naprawdę zaopiekowani, ale jednocześnie mieliśmy pełną swobodę podczas całego pobytu. Ogromną i bardzo miłą niespodzianką był również bezpłatny upgrade pokoju, który otrzymaliśmy z inicjatywy hotelu. Nie prosiliśmy o niego – po prostu sami zaproponowali nam lepszy pokój. Takie gesty naprawdę się pamięta. ❤️ Jedzenie w hotelu było bardzo dobre, świeże i smaczne. Sam obiekt jest pięknie położony, otoczony bujną, tropikalną roślinnością, dzięki której można naprawdę poczuć klimat Sri Lanki. Do tego dwa wspaniałe baseny, które były ogromnym plusem naszego pobytu i świetnym miejscem na odpoczynek. To jednak przede wszystkim ludzie tworzą atmosferę tego miejsca. Dzięki ich życzliwości, uśmiechowi i chęci pomocy czuliśmy się tutaj wyjątkowo dobrze. Zdecydowanie polecamy i jeśli ponownie odwiedzimy tę część Sri Lanki, z ogromną przyjemnością tutaj wrócimy. 🇱🇰❤️ Dziękujemy całemu personelowi za wspaniały pobyt i piękne wspomnienia!

Amazing value for money. Everything was clean, the Wi-Fi worked well, and the food was fresh and tasty. A wonderful place to relax after exploring the south coast.

W hotelu jest ciągła budowa - budują coraz to nowe budynki przez co od 8 rano jest głośno. W łazience nie ma nawet jednego mydełka. Pokój przez 3 dni nie był sprzątany. Obiekt chwali się 50 pokojami ale ma praktycznie zerowy parking. Jeśli ma się pojazd to albo musi stać na ulicy albo będziesz ciągany, żeby go przestawiać dla innyych. W pokoju jest niby kuchnia, w której jest lodówka, czajnik, 2 talerze i 2 szklanki. Po kuchni biegają karaluchy. Część pokoi znajduje się nad kuchnią hotelową, przez co słychać personel od rana do wieczora. Basen był brudny.

The owner , he was rude and unprofessional The construction disturbance and noise when you swin in the small pool , they were building new wing or renovating, and it was so noisy. The rules and policy of you should order before 9 pm , even water you can not get, past 9 pm you will not be served . The food menu is very expensive compared to outside restaurants.

Upon arrival place seemed nice a bit overgrown and damp but nice enough.

We were not given room we booked. We booked lux quad room but was given a triple. Place is currently a building site. Id check before booking. Rooms were not cleaned properly for our arrival. Toilet and showers dirty. We left and took a refund.

This stay was really amazing, the location and the accomodation itselves is really beautiful. All the staff at the hotel is also super friendly and always willing to help with everything. There are two swimming pools, it is not far from beach, not far from restaurants

Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön, ruhig gelegen, mit zwei verschiedenen Pools. Unser Zimmer war sehr gross, wir hatten sogar eine kleine Küche mit Kühlschrank. Das Badezimmer ist ebenfalls gross. Alles war sehr sauber bei unserer Ankunft. Vor dem Zimmer gibt es einen Tisch auf der Veranda, was uns sehr gefallen hat. Wir konnten über die Rezeption relativ spontan einen Scooter leihen, zu einem vergleichsweise günstigen Preis. Im Hotel kann man Wasser und andere Getränke kaufen, sowie Essen direkt aufs Zimmer bestellen. Die Preise sind fair und das Essen hat uns gut geschmeckt. Auch das Frühstück war lecker und abwechslungsreich, jeden Tag gab es eine Auswahl an verschiedenem Gebäck, Eierspeisen & Obst sowie Getränken.

Im Zimmer hat es leider durchgängig etwas muffig gerochen. Direkt nebenan ist eine Baustelle, die teilweise sehr laut ist, und auf der relativ früh morgens (ca. 8 Uhr) begonnen wird, zu arbeiten. Man hört es sowohl im Zimmer, als auch am Pool. Das Personal war sehr unterschiedlich freundlich und professionell. Es gibt einige, ziemlich junge, Mitarbeitende, die beim Frühstück oder am Pool durchgängig sehr laut herumgealbert haben, sodass wir uns etwas gestört fühlten. Leider habe ich mich zwischenzeitlich auch etwas beobachtet gefühlt, insbesondere von jüngerem, männlichen Personal.

The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. We booked two double rooms and one family room, both double rooms had plenty of space and even included a separate pantry area. The bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. The family room, which featured an attic, was also very spacious and added to the overall comfort of our stay. We really enjoyed the breakfast and it was delicious and satisfying. The villa itself is surrounded by lot of greenery, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.

The only downside was the pool and parking. There are two pools on the property, but both seemed to have a very high level of chlorine. The strong smell was noticeable around the pool area, and while using the smaller pool, it caused eye irritation. Also, some of our friends noticed discoloration in their swimwear after using the pool. Parking was also a bit inconvenient, as there is no properly organized parking space. We often had to wait for other vehicles to be moved before we could leave the premises.

Waking up to a symphony of birds and enjoying the view of the Pools and garden, with monkeys and squirrels nearby, was simply magical.The rooms are modern and well-equipped. The water pressure and hot water were exceptional – something you don’t often find in Sri Lanka. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They assisted us with arranging a tuk-tuk and a scooter and went above and beyond to accommodate all our requests.Breakfast was outstanding, featuring a generous buffet which was absolutely delicious. We would love to come back and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a unique and relaxing stay!

Отель классный! Несколько корпусов, территория не большая, но очень зелёная, красивая, ухоженная, есть маленький искусственный водопадик, карпы плавают. Два бассейна, но они для нас оказались холодными к большому сожалению .....Завтрак- шведский стол, много острого, не удалось оценить их кухню, на вид красиво, но есть невозможно. Заказывала вечером в номер суп, т.к лил ливень и не смогли пойти в кафе, так я его ждала больше 1 часа, суп, кстати, был не плох и не острый. Номер нам достался шикарный, огромный, он больше моей квартиры....с лестницей на второй этаж, там лежали два матраса с бельем, дочь их соединила и получила одну огромную кровать, я спала внизу тоже на огромной кровати, на столько удобных номеров я ещё не встречала - огромный встроенный шкаф, дополнительные деревянные стеллажи у входа в душ, у входа в номер- есть куда повесить сушить купальники и полотенца, гладильная доска, утюг, телевизор, он правда не нужен, холодильник, чайник, посуда, доска разделочная, нож, ложки, вилки, и даже фумигаторы, правда некоторые были почти пустые, нет шампуней, гелей- они специально не кладут их, т.к. считают, что у людей может быть аллергия, позиционируют себя как ЭКО отель. Номер выходил на оба бассейна , два балкона, номер был тупиковый, нет лишних глаз, но было одно НО- т.к. номер двухэтажный, второй этаж треугольный и там не было никаких занавесок/жалюзи. С восходом солнца просыпались и мы, солнце просто как прожектор светило в глаза, так что берите маску для глаз и беруши, где то по соседству лаяла собака по утрам. Несмотря на некоторые неудобства- отель супер, расположение хорошее, планируем все равно в него вернуться дня на три, сестре показать)

We were asked to pay the total price at check in. When I requested to see the room which I booked before paying the lady who was in charge refused to show us our room. Instead she asked me to check the photos of our room on my phone through www.booking.com. I have been a www.booking.com customer since 2008 and never experienced a similar attitude in Sri Lanka or in abroad. I cancelled my reservation and reserved a room in Haru Ahangama .

Exclusivity, charm, and serenity in a perfect location. The rooms were stunning and retained the hotel's essence while offering contemporary amenities. Breakfast and other meals we ordered were exceptional. Perfect reservation manager, the staff were truly wonderful, the kindest people you could ever wish to meet.

The location is great, away from the hustle and bustle of town, but just a short walk away (5 minutes). The property is beautiful and very serene. We had a lovely surprise when we arrived as they upgraded us to the Superior Triple, which, I have to say, was truly outstanding. Huge room on a high level with amazing close pool views on both sides of the room. Food and drinks at the hotel are excellent. You will definitely not be disappointed if you choose this hotel. Nirmala Villa is superb.

The place is beautiful and maintained to such a high standard and the food is delicious, but the really special thing is the wonderful staff who make your stay so special. A big thank you to Nirmala Villa from my family and me, we made some amazing memories thanks to you.

The ambience looked good, but there are a lot of snakes which makes the ppace scary to move around.

There was a 10 hours power shut down (every Wednesday) during the day and the staff failed to inform us about it. I had been with my father who is 87 years old and it was very difficult to manage without power for more than 6 hours in a hot summer day (33° C temperature). Other than a single soap, there's nothing kept for the guests and the reason given was "Different guests would use different brands and the hotel can't cater for individual needs and hence the guests had to bring their own toiletries". Also there was a construction going on causing heavy pounding noise making it very difficult to stay inside the room.

The property could be nice but just lacks currently in most areas compared to most Sri Lankan stays.

The main gripe was the building works starting at 8:00 - 8:30 every day nobody mentioned this in the booking or when we arrived and paid in full. We were also not told the power would be off for an entire day which I thought was really poor. The staff are nice but not like most Sri Lankan stays it is far more “you’re just staying there”. These are not small building works so I would expect them to go on for Atleast several months.

This place was such a lovely surprise! We stayed in a family room with an attic—it was incredibly spacious and charming. The two girls at the reception were so funny and friendly; they really made our stay enjoyable. If you're planning to stay here, I highly recommend booking one of the larger rooms. They are so bright and airy!

Well, that's not hotel's fault, but so many blackouts...

Out of the seven accommodations we stayed at in Sri Lanka, this is the one we can recommend most without hesitation. The property offers outstanding value for money, and both the accommodation itself and the overall facility are of a very high standard, closer to what many travelers would expect from Western standards than most other places we experienced in Sri Lanka. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. There are two beautiful pools, both very enjoyable, and the pool with the natural tiles is especially worth mentioning. We also liked that the pools have different depths, so they are suitable for different preferences. Breakfast was served as a buffet, which made it easy for everyone to find something they liked, with a small variation from day to day. Another big plus was the convenient WhatsApp contact, which made it easy to order things or ask questions in English at any time. The villa is located in Habaraduwa, which we also really liked. The area feels much less touristy and offers a more authentic Sri Lankan atmosphere. At the same time, the essentials are all easy to reach on foot, including pharmacies and a grocery store (Cargills). The beach nearby is beautiful, natural, and usually quite empty, which made it very special for us. It is also easy to get to Ahangama and Unawatuna or Galle by tuktuk. We felt so comfortable here that we even extended our stay, and we would happily come back anytime.

We were extremely satisfied overall. The only small point is that communication with some of the younger staff could occasionally be a little difficult because of limited English, but this was never a major problem. The village itself is also rather quiet, with only a small choice of shops and restaurants, which may or may not suit every traveler.

Hotel staff were really good. The person who operates the phone number on booking.com is apocalyptically rude to such an extreme I have never experienced before. I would never book this hotel again purely due to the level of insulting and rude behavior from the person handling the phone.

מקום מדהים בלב צמחייה ירוקה ומיוחדת עם 2 בריכות מפנקות מאוד!! צוות חם ומפנק שדואג להכל! באמת מקום מושלם!!! יש מטבח למי שצריך לבשל והחדרים נקיים מאוד ברמה גבוה ואחלה מחירים מומלץ!!

Le petit moins est la distance avec Ahangama mais bon c’est vraiment pour chipoter et peut être le petit déjeuner qui est le même mais sinon tout était parfait !

Дуже великий потенціал, але треба зробити акцент на прибиранні та їжі. Персонал дуже привітний, вражаюча територія, дуже гарно, почуваєшся ніби в джунглях, два басейни, всі наші прохання виконувались швидко , територія доглянута. Ми не знайшли шось цікаве для себе поруч, але гарні пляжі, заклади було зручно дістатись на таксі або тук тук . Номер був погано прибраний, але прибирання під час перебування було дуже добре. Є достатньо місця щоб посушити речі, є кондиціонер та вентилятор. Наша сімʼя жила в іншому корпусі там значно свіжіші та приємніші кімнати

Нам зробили підвищення категорії номера (ми бронювали двомісний, а отримали тримісний номер) безкоштовно, про яке ми не просили і було відчуття що це зробили спеціально щоб заселити кімнату в якій ніхто давно не жив, бо в кімнаті не відчувалась свіжість , прибирання було давно тому було достатньо пильно та повно мертвих комах. Ванна кімната потребує ремонту в також було погано прибрано після попередніх гостей в душовій. Але після поточного прибирання кімната виглядала значно краще ніж під час заселення. Пляж в 10 хвилинах пішки але він не є дуже гарним для того щоб плавати. Їжа на сніданках дуже одноманітна, місцева, кожен день майже одне й те саме, це втомлює. Одного разу замовляли обід було не смачно і достатньо дорого

Sehr große Zimmer und tolles großes Badezimmer mit heißer Dusche. Frühstück als Buffet! Toller Garten und Pool! Aktuell wird oben noch aufgestockt. Daher etwas Baulärm. Wahrscheinlich wird es aktuell so günstig angeboten. Danach wird es sicherlich wesentlich teurer! Manchmal hat das Badezimmer, bzw nach Kanalgase gerochen! Kleine Küche im Zimmer und Kühlschrank! Preis Leistung für 20€ incl. Frühstück unschlagbar!

Pobyt w tym obiekcie oceniamy na bardzo udany. Piękny ogród, dwa baseny do dyspozycji, smaczne śniadanie. Obiekt w świetnej lokalizacji, na uboczu, ale w odległości krótkiego spaceru od samego centrum miejscowości. Piękna plaża, miasteczko bardzo lokalne, stacja kolejowa oraz dworzec autobusowy blisko.

Zapach wilgoci w pokoju, głośni Rosjanie.

Loopafstand van centrum en strand. Zwemmen aan dit strand wordt alleen afgeraden, aangezien de zee zeer ruw is hier. Heel leuk ontbijt en diner tentje op loopafstand (Heimat Hugs). Zwembad eigenlijk niet gebruikt, personeel erg vriendelijk. Mega grote kamer. Niks op aan te merken zoals alles in Sri Lanka super positief!

Опишу свой личный опыт и выскажу своё субъективное мнение. Из плюсов, сам отель хорош, красивая зелёная территория. Две теплых бассейна с разной глубиной, что подойдёт даже для самых маленьких детей. Красивый водопад, который заглушал шум с дороги. Большой номер, кухня, туалет, горячая вода. Удобная кровать и подушки.

Из минусов: из мыльно-рыльных только один кусочек мыла (объясняют это тем, что у гостей может быть аллергия, по мне это просто обычная экономия), в нормальных отелях всегда необходимое есть в наличии. Изначально должна была быть качель на террасе, как указано в забронированном варианте проживания, но дали самый обычный стандартный номер, но в целом терраса норм, НО когда кто-то курит на соседней террасе, всё тянет на твою и это ужасно. Один из бассейнов был мутный, но ребенок предпочёл купаться именно в нём, сказал, что он больше. Я простудилась и когда я сообщила об этом сотрудникам, они никак не отреагировали и не предложили помощь, попросила градусник, сначала сказали, что нет его, он утерян, потом всё же принесли (возможно купили новый). В общем какой-то заботы и переживания от своих гостях и в помине нет. Из самого разочаровавшего, это ресторан в отеле, такое ужасное карри я не ела ни разу за свою жизнь мясо 5% остальное жир и кости, об этом я тоже сообщила управляющим, но они опять никак не отреагировали. Тупо принесли чек за еду. К тому же в чеке была позиция, которую я не заказывала, я это заметила, на что тоже не получила никаких извинений! На завтрак ребенок попросил омлет без овощей и зелени в нём, но ей всё равно сделали с ними. С самого утра проходили ремонтные работы и весь день был стук по потолку, это было невыносимо, я попросила прекратить шум, но только 2 часа было тишины, потом снова продолжили стучать. В общем возвращаться не хочется, один из самых не удачных моих опытов на Шри.
