Easy to check in online and grab the key from the key safe. The room was clean and comfortable with good amenities. Location was handy for the excellent restaurant Roo's leap across the road.

Rooms spotless fan location

Basic self catering accomodation in stunning grounds. Easy to find and access. (Just be aware the fridge in your room is tiny). It is just a room! The hotel functions are no more, which is a shame because it looks like a stunning hotel. Right on the golf course (perfect for early morning tee off times)

We had a large spacious room. Large shower room with huge towels.

No staff on duty, and the bar area was closed. Felt more like an air bnb with multiple rooms.

The location is great. Have stayed here often. It is not really operating as a hotel anymore. There are no staff. They do not provide breakfast. We did not see another person during the three nights we stayed here. It is more like an Airbnb than a hotel. Will not be back. Such a shame it is no longer the warm welcoming hotel it once was.

Good location. Nice size room with a comfortable bed. Parking included. Next to a golf course, so quiet and a five minute walk from the beach. No food available but there is a small fridge and a microwave in the room. They even provide plates and cutlery.

Nice clean tidy place in a quiet location .A very nice place.

Felt a little bit odd, no interaction with any staff in person . But on the whole it didn't spoil stay.

Great location, close to beach, easy to access the room using the code system. Large size twin room. Was a last minute booking and a great price.

Private bathroom was external to the room, opposite. Which was mentioned in the booking. It was an inconvenience to have to leave the room and unlock the bathroom every time we needed it. Another family tried to use it a couple of times. Decor a bit dated but clean and tidy.

I couldn’t even get in there was no key in the box staff unhelpful

Perfect for a couple of nights – clean, comfortable, and well-located.

The only thing that could be improved is the Wi-Fi signal in the room, which was a bit weak, but it worked fine in the lobby.

There was no breakfast despite there being menus at the front door.

On booking (app) this comes up as a hotel. It isn't. It's ROOM ONLY much like an air bnb. You get a key to a room in what looks like it once was a hotel. Theirs no kitchen, bar or staff at this site. Unless you go hunting the booking app for its description, you won't find this out until its too late.

Spacious rooms, good facilities on site, close to the beach and a short walk from the town centre. Peaceful and quiet. Dog friendly!

Ein charmantes Hotel am Rande eines weitläufigen Golfplatzes. In unmittelbarer Nähe befinden sich ein endloser Sandstrand und ein exzellentes Restaurant, in dem eine Reservierung unbedingt erforderlich ist.

Das Internet funktionierte im Zimmer nicht.

Shower in room 8 is very difficult to turn on and needs attention as my wife was unable to turn it herself so this would be same for many others. Roof is very intrusive in the room and makes moving around quite awkward.

Great location by the Golf course.

Had a couple of issues that I informed the manager about via text message. The TV & WiFi didn't work, wasn't to bothered about that but may do for others. I'm not a fan of staffless hotels, keybox entry isn't the future. Shame there was no reception or bar, having it look empty doesn't help. Pleasant stay for the money, but wouldn't return.

The location was beautiful and the hotel was comfortable and quaint, but very beautiful. The walk to the promenade was really beautiful and the restaurants and shops were just amazing.

No WiFi. Loud music, doors banging, drunk people and parties going on until after 1am so unable to sleep. No one onsite to help and slow response to messages

Quaint, Victorian Inn; it was clean and quiet. It was also neat to be so close to the golf course. Lor was great about helping us when Booking.com booked too few rooms for us: she noticed and called me right away.

There was no staff when we got there! The email instructions were confusing—mentioned Room 4 and also Room 5??! I had told them I needed rooms for 7 and they only had them for 6–I only noticed that a few nights before but got cut off so I never knew how it was resolved. And they never explained that the room key opened the front door too! The return call was to my phone that had no service, not to WhatsApp I needed to use while traveling. And when we got there late, and NO one was at the front desk to answer questions, which rooms, etc, I couldn’t even call anyone because THEIR WiFi was down!! It was a very frustrating experience—I must have spent over two hours on 4-5 phone calls just for to make sure things were right for ONE night!

Es ist eine sehr besondere Unterkunft. Wir hatten das Zimmer mit Blick auf den Golfplatz. Wir konnten auch den Leuchtturm vom Fenster aus sehen. Der Strand ist sehr nah. Es war - vor allem nach schottischen Verhältnissen- sauber. Das Badezimmer war neu gemacht und wirklich sehr gut und groß.

Die Betten waren entweder sehr weich oder durchgelegen;-)

Les chambres sont très belles et possèdent tout le matériel nécessaire. La vue sur le terrain de golf est très agréable. Le parking est idéal. Le calme de l'emplacement est propice au repos.

We liked the room and location, when we arrived it was pouring down so we couldn’t go for walks but it’s a lovely location and having the restaurants right across the road is handy. Such a comfortable bed and shower was amazing.

The vending machine was empty so we couldn’t just mop downstairs to grab a drink.

The shower being blocked and when it was fixed (in a timely manner) they disconnected the drain so water floodeed downstairs and the they had to come back to fix it late at night when we had gone ot beed

Shower controls too stiff for elderly hands to operate so no shower possible. Booking process seemed unnecessarily complex. Do you really need a photograph uploaded?

Unseasonable hot weather obviously, but no fan in the room which was very hot. Managed to open one window in the room and the bathroom window to try and get a through draft for sleeping. Previous occupants had closed the safe and locked it so we were unable to open it and use it. The large bathroom towel rail was on which contributed to the heat and even though we put the dial to zero, it was still on. Not necessary in summer months so guess that’s an extra cost that you don’t need.

Windows in the room didn’t open so we were too warm at night, also Wi-Fi code didn’t work. We also found the absence of any staff a bit disconcerting although they were contactable by phone if we had any issues

Neat and clean. No personnel but easy do it yourself check in. Room exactly as described.

Larger room had very comfy large bed & very relaxing window area with comfy seats which was lovely to sit in & look out to the golf course. Great facilities with kettle, coffee maker & microwave. Very small fridges also in both rooms. Self service check in worked well & was easy to use (I haven’t used before so was pleasantly surprised). Plenty of parking, lovely garden, short walk to beach. Easy to contact staff & quick reply when needed. Would stay again.

Adjoining door between rooms 1 & 2 was sealed so couldn’t be used which wasn’t as advertised & I wouldn’t have booked had I known. Smaller room with two single beds also didn’t have an ensuite - private bathroom across from room. Again wouldn’t have booked had this been clear. However in the end it worked out fine & would stay again.

Place was dog friendly although we usually pay a little less for our dog for a night.Beautiful walk to beach very close to Hotel my dog loved it. Lots of walks in general.Loved the fresh coffee in room and fridge microwave plates etc.Seating and tables outside in a lovely setting.On edge of golf course we had a lovely view from bedroom window another comfortable seat to sit and enjoy it would have been perfect.

Not having en suite although private bathroom was lovely We would choose different room next time.l felt mattress l slept on needed replaced or a mattress topper as l woke up a few times with aching bones.Husbands bed was fine.

Unmanned , but this is reflected in the price and was expected , bed a little soft for my liking , but this isn’t a complaint as such and wouldn’t put off booking again - because I most Definitely will use again !

The ‘rooms’ are within a hotel which is empty with no staff. The building feels empty and a bit eery. The room only had 1/4 of a toilet roll.
