I felt like I was at home. Breakfast was cooked exactly as I liked it. I could decide my own time and my own breakfast menu. Sue was such a friendly, warm host. your room is serviced every day with new coffee, tea, milk

I definitely loved the bed, super comfortable.

The property met all expectations! I had a beautiful view of table mountain, the bed was extremely comfortable and everything was clean and tidy. Breakfast was 5 star! A good spread of cereal, fruit, yoghurt, coffees, teas, juice, and then comes the main English breakfast! 10 out of 10 for anybody who wants a comfortable and relaxing stay!

Great location. Great breakfast. Very welcoming! Sue was at hand with an umbrella a few seconds after I arrived that rainy morning. Very clean. Plenty of high pressure hot water in the bathroom.

Everything! Tasteful interior, eye for details e. g. good lighting and enough hooks in bathroom, tea/ coffee facilities clean and more than sufficient. Breakfast is a real treat and host Sue is a wonderful warm and energetic person.

Es war kein Problem, die Unterkunft zu finden. Wir wurden überaus freundlich empfangen und hatten ein komfortables Zimmer mit Pool- und Tafelbergblick. Das Frühstück und die Freundlichkeit der Gastgeberin haben absolut überzeugt. Vielen lieben Dank. Außerdem gab es einen sicheren Parkplatz.

We loved our stay at the Victorian Goose- the room was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was spotless and of a high standard. Breakfast was also great and very good quantity and quality! We would stay here again!

Loved everything! We had the best nights sleep of our whole 2 weeks in SA. Sue is such a lovely host - we booked last minute and she was exceedingly warm and welcoming. The place was spotlessly clean and fresh. The pool looked lovely though i didn't get the chance to enjoy it. And she does a smashing breakfast. Brilliant.

Our second stay at this lovely guesthouse. Great base at which to immediately settle in to home-like environment. Sue very kindly told us we could check-in early as soon as the room had been prepared. After an early start from the airport, this allowed us to drive to Hout Bay to stretch legs and enjoy coffee before depositing bags and freshening up. We caught up with her again at breakfast time and enjoyed chatting with her while she served our breakfast. Guests are served at a big table in the vestibule or there are a couple of tables in the courtyard. Just a few rooms so all feels very friendly & laid back.

Wir waren für 14 Tage zu Gast bei Sue und Steve und haben uns sehr wohl - fast wie zu Hause - gefühlt. Das Zimmer - wir hatten den Raum mit Balkon- war hübsch eingerichtet und auch für einen längeren Aufenthalt geeignet. Zimmer und Haus waren immer absolut sauber. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker, alle Produkte von ausgewählter Qualität. Sue ist absolut bezaubernd. Sie ist auf eine Weise herzlich, die sofort Nähe und Vertrauen schafft. Sie ist die perfekte Gastgeberin, sorgt für alles, hilft und gibt Tipps. Ihre offene Art macht es leicht, sich mit allen Fragen an sie zu wenden. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Sue was warm and inviting so it felt like home from the start. The accommodation and breakfast was great… couldn’t fault it in any way.

I loved the look and feel of the premises. The room was lovely and quiet and comfortable. The Victorian Goose also provided for the unexpected change in the weather and provided warm extra blankets. The warm welcome from the hostess herself made me feel like they had been waiting for me the whole day.

You do need to understand Cape Town traffic when exiting the road in which the entrance is on, but that is not the fault of the Victorian Goose - that is just Cape Town traffic.

It felt like home ! Very comfortable and welcoming.

The host and service provided including breakfast was outstanding. Couple with the excellent location, this property exceeded my expectations.

The location in the heart of Claremont was great, allowing me to walk to places like the nearby Palmyra Junction. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was excellent. Bottled water was provided daily, and a few small snacks alongside the coffee station. The desk came in handy as a workstation when I needed to pull out my laptop for anything. Breakfast was top notch as well. Sue, the hostess greeted me on arrival, and was always friendly, willing to have a chat or provide assistance where necessary. All in all a wonderful stay!

Everything was perfect!

The room and venue was very clean. Tea and coffee available whenever you wanted it. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast is tasty and satisfying.

WiFi was a little slow but still useable for emails.

Breakfast was excellent and served at the desired time Sue is a superb host, Beds are very comfortable with good quality linen. Everything was very clean Although in the Centre of the City it was quiet and nothing disturbed our sleep.

Sue is an excellent host. Sue was helpful and accommodating throughout the stay with excellent restaurant recommendations. The room had everything we needed including some delicious filter coffee. There is also a coffee machine available for guests to use if you prefer.

I stayed at The Victorian Goose for one night on a work trip and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The room was spotless, beautifully furnished, and thoughtfully equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Check-in was smooth and the host was friendly, responsive, and genuinely welcoming. The overall atmosphere was calm and homely — perfect after a long day. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Cape Town for business or leisure.

This is a top class BnB. It is immaculate, extremely comfortable with lovely cosmetics and complimentary snacks. The breakfast is excellent with choices for cooked meals or healthy meals with fresh fruit. Highly recommended.
