Tru By Hilton Meridian

We booked a room and when we arrived there were no available rooms and even after I attempted to get my refund they didn't follow through.

Location nice and building was beautiful.

Bathroom tub looked dirty and wall was cracked.

Right off of I-20, very close to mall, Sam's, gas stations, and walking distance to 3 fast food places. Grounds and building were extremely clean along with some of the nicest and sweetest front desk personnel. Breakfast are was clean and the Coffee was delicious ... definitely will be back. This was just a one night stay to break up a long drive and will definitely be back on our way home.

Accidentally left everything in bathroom including medication. After five phone calls to zero in on the actual worker, a number of excuses. I was told the “ head cleaning lady cleaned room 108 July 9, 2026 and nothing at all was found in the entire bathroom, no toothbrush, no tall bottle of medication. It was like, “ WE GOTCH -A

I have recently started using the Tru line from Hilton and have found them to be very clean and very straightforward. The Tru in Meridian, Mississippi is no exception. It was exactly what we needed and nothing that we didn’t. Super clean, I love the way there’s no carpet in the rooms, no bathtubs at least not that I’ve seen, no shower curtains. Everything is easy to keep clean and kept clean. I feel like the design was well thought out for ease of maintenance. The beds are platform, so there’s no opportunity for random things to get stuck under the bed, there’s no closets just hanging space which eliminates doors that can come off of hinges or get banged around. The showers are glass, no shower curtains that can get dingy and moldy. Very clean modern lines designed to be easily cleaned and easily maintained. No bedspreads that can get icky. I found the bed to be very comfortable very fresh.. breakfast was as good as you would expect a free breakfast to be. The pancake machine was fun, but the oatmeal was a little runny. The cheese omelette was excellent. All in all, this stay in Meridian reinforced my opinion of the Tru line from Hilton and it will be my main stay from now on.

While my room wasn’t as clean as my last stay, this property is still convenient for my needs. Staff is friendly, the breakfast buffet is basic but fresh, and the coffee is hot. The property is also pretty quiet, because it’s not right on I-20. Will stay here again.

Toliet seat was broken. Pancake machine broken. TV not working well. Had to go to Walmart and buy screwdriver to fix seat myself.

Our tv was glitchy, didn’t work the majority of the time. We put perishable items in the mini fridge only to find the next morning that the fridge was apparently broken, so our items had to be thrown away which was such a waste of money. People stomping around above us way after ‘quiet hours’ which kept our 3 young children awake. The fan on the AC kept turning on and off the entirety of our stay, which was extremely distracting and annoying while trying to sleep.

The bands were broken underneath the boards they don’t give you free breakfast. There’s Jacuzzi was not working, and the fire alarm went off last night.

We had no hot water. They turned it on then we had no water pressure for hot (trickle) in bathroom sink. I had to ask for toilet paper, There was 1/2 a roll in room. And what she gave me was about a forth of a roll…wow! Our remote did not work so we couldn’t watch tv. The bed was hard, and the room was very small! Was just not a good stay for us!

Room was small, requested first floor room and extra towels didn't get either. Didn't feel to secure as to where I had to park due to having a trailer.

Booking dot com double booked us they tried to give us 2 rooms. Need to make sure we were only billed for the one we kept and stayed in.

This location was perfect for a stop on the way home from a trip to Tennessee. Value was good and the breakfast was very good with a lot of choices. Love having the digital key and online check-in!

Although I had a digital key and didn't really need to check in, I needed a key for my wife. Service was slow at the desk and I gave up, returning later to get it. This made me extra glad I had a digital key. Room 103: The toilet seat shifts when sitting on it...needs tightening down. The soap dispenser in the shower was empty. The handle in the shower had a steady leak which leads to pink mold in the bottom of the shower. I can't imagine house keeping has missed the empty soap and such a noticeable leak or the mold. I wanted to tell the desk about all these issues when checking out but there was no one at the desk and I am assuming that two employees were sitting in the lobby playing on their phones. I just dropped my key and left.

I like the location.

The bathroom was not cleaned properly. A wet towel from the previous guest was left hanging in the shower. There was soap scum on the glass and shower head. Manager said they were very understaffed. However, they are open and still receiving guests. Quality is more important than quantity.

Clean, convenient, front desk was very helpful and polite! The facility was very clean and organized! Breakfast was great with many choices. Also seen a grill by the patio we didn't use it but im assuming it could be used. Free Pool table and game area where you can relax. We will stay again. The rooms were very clean, everything worked and new beds.

I loved the location. The lady that checked me in was very friendly. I love the fact that kids stay free.

The beds were very uncomfortable. I did notice some hair on the table by tables and the shower wasn’t cleaned properly and had a weird odor as well. When we first arrived we did notice a filthy pillow case on one of the beds, we had to get another one.

I should have checked the recent reviews before booking. I don't know how this hotel is rated #1 in Meridian. In a word, it sucks. The room is totally bare-bones without a desk. The furnishings are in tatters. The bedding is threadbare. The room was dirty with hair left in the shower. The TV is huge, 50 or 60 inches, but did not get any channels. The front desk clerk spoke some version of ebonics that was barely intelligible. This has been one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. Even though I paid for the second night in advance, I'm eating the fee and finding somewhere else to stay.

This was our second stay at this property when traveling. Convenient to the highway, clean, easy parking, decent breakfast, and a minimalist vibe. We went to Walmart and heated up dinner in lobby microwave. Only negative was malfunctioning tv. Clerk explained that system was being upgraded. But after a long day, you want to escape with tv watching. More attention to detail needed.
