Quiet and comfortable hotel 15 minutes walk from the sea
Clean, welcoming staff, nice breakfast, the pool and spa and comfortable room.
We used the executive room which is very expensive it's a nice room with balcony.small but
Jacuzzi does nt work pool is nice but small.
Good food, clean.
Pool small
Friendly and clean
Nothing
Dinner was excellent. Breakfast could be better if it was a self service.
Breakfast could have been a self-service buffet.
Ease of parking, spacious room, attentive and friendly staff plus great breakfast and nice ambiance.
The mattress and pillows were a bit too firm for me but I accept it is a matter of taste. All else was very nice.
Bar and restaurant were nice. Location was good
Bedroom and en-suite were small and a bit cramped. Floor boards were making noise as one walked.
Excellent hotel, good facilities and food
Spa, breakfast and dinner were amazing.
EV charger didn't work on debit card and other option you couldn't sign up to unless your were a company or your employer has signed up so couldn't charge our car which would have been convenient. Also charging £8 per night for car park just because we booked with Booking.com. we wouldn't have found the hotel without bookings.com so felt this was unfair.
Breakfast was nice. Staff were excellent
The bathroom in our room was very small and dated, and not to a good standard. Beds weren't very comfortable
Everything the hotel is lovely and staff were very friendly and helpful really nice people
Nothing
Food and hotel was nice
Spa was dated, the hot tub didn't work.
Not alot to be honest The reception staff were lovely
The kids were in the spa load The food was not cooked The fish was either raw or off Being my birthday I was absolutely gutted due to the food upsetting me. So did not have a dessert or extra drinks Went straight to bed . Bathroom.needs up dating Wood panels need sorting Bath not the best
The bed was comfortable. The room was a good size. Staff were helpful.
The shower had no power along with being in the bath. It also leaked over the floor. There was a varied breakfast, but if you wanted an omelette or eggs benidict, there is an additional charge. Not good for a 4 star hotel when you have already paid for breakfast. I booked with Booking.com. Within 4 minutes of booking, I received a call from the Heywood Hotel asking me to cancel my booking and re-book directly with them; I would get 20% discount and free parking. This was not possible so no discount and £8/ night for parking. We considered eating in the evening at the hotel, but it was overpriced.
Lovely rom. Nice grounds and amenities. Great breakfast.
The pool got a bit crowded.
The entire property was beautifully furnished and had all the facilities we could ask for e.g. swimming pool The breakfast was exceptional, and catered for vegans which was a bonus.
We had a lovely room but it did smell a little musty.
Breakfast was very good juccuzzi and pool very nice as well
The hotel was average not a 4 star but more like a 3 star hotel and the price and hotel rooms were very basic Asian food and highly priced
It was a last minute booking and although we were not able to stay due to issues with boiler meaning not hot water and a blocked toilet when arriving, the Deputy Manager quickly investigate and agreed to a refund so we could look elsewhere.
When we arrived we were asked to pay an unexpected parking fee for a space on the property. The toilet in out room was blocked and there was no hot water die to a broken immersion that could not be resolved that day, so we asked for a refund to cancel our booking and left to find other accommodation. it took several mails to both the hotel and booking.com to get the refund,
Quiet location, plenty of parking lovely restaurant and staff.
Room smelt a bit damp even though there was a heatwave
Room was spacious & very comfortable. Spa facilities were lovely & clean and the pool was great. Reception lady was lovely, very friendly & helpful. Breakfast was cooked fresh & loads of choice.
Paying for the parking £8 due to booking online with Booking.com. I was made aware of it when booking but feel its very unfair to charge. Either all guests pay or no charge at all for anyone.
Average
Food limited breakfast menu then wanted to charge extra
Wow! What a gem of a hotel. Great location to Tenby centre. The rooms were immaculate and modern. The staff were honestly the best! Breakfast was fab and we ate at the restaurant too, all amazing! We will be back. A big thank you to Carmel too, she is the front of the house and an absolute credit to the hotel x
We went in the spa area and the inside hot tub wasn’t working. The sauna wasn’t turned on only thing we could use was the out door hot tub
Facilities
The staff were so helpful and happy!
The staff were exceptional, polite and very helpful. The spa was a special add on to the hotel. My good lady enjoyed a treatment.
Two times during our stay we asked for fresh towels. Once when we arrived back late in the evening the room had not been cleaned. This was dealt with within minutes of us informing the receptionist.
Spent 5 days there in July 26 and was so impressed with the staff service and food we have booked another 5 days later this month. One of the best hotels we have stayed in anywhere in the world. Looking forward to another relaxing break and enjoying the spa
Lovely friendly Hotel staff very helpful and friendly. Superb food
Grounds a little limited but fine for a short stay.
Very friendly and welcoming staff, great food
The shower in the executive suite 211 was not very powerfull
Fantastic service and excellent facilities
None
We had a great few days here. The room was incredibly quiet, the bed was comfortable, the temperature in the room perfect, we had a couple of fantastic night sleep. We also ate in the restaurant on one night, and again it was very good. Good location with Parking, and about a 20 minute walk into Tenby.
It is a lovely hotel with pleasant rooms and a pool, restaurant and bar on premises. Parking available. Staff couldn’t be more helpful. This is a very comfortable place . It is on a quiet Tenby Street.
Tucked away in a quiet part of Tenby. Very clean and nicely decorated. Good size room - we chose an executive room. A bit pricey but it felt luxurious. I liked the sliding doors and the patio with a little table. Very quiet and very comfortable beds. Very helpful staff. Pool was a bit crowded on a Saturday morning but nice - also used the sauna. Would really feel like a holiday staying here. Some strange other guests but a lovely hotel.
Booked before coming on holiday Liked the dining room/ romantic/ great atmosphere/service Starters were excellent Tempura prawns Also asked for Bread /oil .. 2 !!! Slices of bread ( seriously) oil and balsamic was very good at £6,00 nearly not so good Barramundi fish if the day was OK My dish was non veg Thali was OK lamb curry was ok the butter chicken was sweet. It certainly was catering for the very bland western palate It was a long way to try their food . Hotel looked lovely and sitting room waiting for the cab was really nice. Hotel receptionist very kind
The hotel looks ok over all but deteriorating.
Deteriorated spa, staff at the desk not very friendly, we actually got told of for staying 2min over in the spa area after it supposedly closed, we were having a chat ready to leave and the woman at the desk decided she needed to express her unhappiness that we were still in that area… the food was no where near what it’s supposed to look like and taste like but it’s very expensive… we actually complained about the starter and in stead of fully taking the price off they gave us half of price discount…
We really enjoyed our three nights at this hotel. Highlights were the quality of the food, and the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. Location is about 20 minutes walk from the centre. Our premium room was spacious and had a four poster bed. It could have done with a chest of drawers, and the shower room some more shelves for toiletries. The aircon was great. The spa facilities were good, we especially liked the outdoor hot tub. The sauna was infra-red and not as hot as most. The pool was small, but clean and there is a booking system to ensure it does not get crowded.
First class service, all staff friendly and keen to help. Large bright room with it's own patio and easy access to the spa facilities. Good food. Would definitely recommend, we had a fantastic week.
Lovely location and nice staff. Good breakfast
Mattress was tired and not v comfy. Could do with upgrade. Charging additional £8 for parking is unacceptable and petty. Won’t stay again as a result (even though it was waived as we parked elsewhere as chargers full). It’s a principal thing.
Grosse Zimmer. Professionelles, nettes Personal
Distanz zur Stadt
Nicely decorated and furnished, good facilities such as pool whirlpools etc
Indoor jacuzzi not working properly, but not too much of a problem
We really enjoyed our visit to the Heywood Spa. The staff were professional and polite and extremely helpful and above all friendly. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious and enjoyed the spa facilities. We ate dinner here on the first night and they held the closing time of the kitchen which was very kind as we had a horrendous journey from Devon. There were however a couple of points that would help to improve the overall experience. Our room was a bit dark and situated by reception and the soundproofing wasn't brilliant. The shower water pressure was also very low which I wouldn't have expected given the price that we paid. I also had to report a sticky bedside table which was apparently the varnish. On the whole the breakfasts were great but could be improved by not scrambling the eggs in a microwave, the poached were perfect! It would have been good to know up front that balconies were available for superior rooms. We didn't spot this and would have probably paid the higher price had we known. We came away with a positive view, but attention to these points would have made it fantastic.
We’ve just stayed for 2nights to celebrate our anniversary. The hotel was just outside Tenby, our room was clean and comfortable everything you need is provided, iron hairdryer, safe tea coffee etc, we had air conditioning which in this weather was fab. Our room had a shower over bath which we are not a fan of. The towels were so white and soft. The spa was nice a small but deep indoor pool with a nice area to lounge also an outdoor hot tub conservatory bar service. Didn’t have any spa treatments but lots were available. We ate at their restaurant both nights and the food was amazing both nights a great variety of Indian/thai inspired dishes. We loved it, breakfast was also good with plenty of choice available. The staff were all so lovely very polite and welcoming. We got a taxi into Tenby (about £5 each way) to avoid the bother of parking Really enjoyed our stay, some things at the hotel were a bit pricey eg small cappuccino £5.40. Also it felt a bit off being charged £8 per day to park the car when spending a lot on the hotel, direct bookings didn’t pay this surcharge but if booked via booking.com you had to pay, it just didn’t feel welcoming to be told this, especially as we would not have found the hotel if we hadn’t booked on booking.com
As seasoned travellers across the globe we found this little piece of paradise just outside Tenby in South Wales. We are currently staying here for 5 days. Staff attention to detail is faultless and they can't do enough to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. Food in the restaurant is outstanding the best we have had anywhere in the world. Looking forward to the next few days and already planning our next stay. Thank you to all the wonderful staff there.
Quiet and clean. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. Excellent restaurant and food.
The room was perfect, Spotlessly clean. The breakfast was included in the price with lots of options we had a cooked breakfast which was very tasty. We had a meal there on a couple of evenings and thoroughly enjoyed. An exceptional hotel!
There was nothing that we didn't like
Clean and lovely staff
Hot tub wasnt working right and outdoor hot tub was not on in the morning
Friendly staff. Nice pool , hot tub, spa and breakfast offerings.
No fridge in the bedrooms Internet was so bad Spiders, silverfish in the bathroom
Freundliches Personal. Gemeinschaftsräume gepflegt.
Zimmer- Einrichtung /Bad sehr veraltet. Zimmer nicht sauber.
Downstairs decor very nice
Jacuzzi didn’t work next to the swimming pool. Although to be fair, there was an outside one that worked apparently.in executive room apparently, but have stayed in equally as nice rooms if not better, for less money.
Loved the town, easy to walk to and helpful friendly staff. Restaurant staff very friendly and helpful. Had a huge room with 2 single beds as we wished.
Nothing
Food - a bit pricey i thought, but cooked to order and an extensive choice. Quality was excellent Staff - couldnt do enough for you. Mandy and Carmen attentative on Reception. Elana superb in the Restaurant. Location - In a relatively quiet area so plenty of peace and a great night's sleep Facilities - nice to unwind at the end of the day with a swim, hot tub and sauna.
A few minor "housekeeping" issues...... Safe was still code locked from previous occupant. Additionally complimentary room robe appeared to have make up on it. Both issues quickly addressed by staff. Also, shower took a good while to warm up but possibly oversubscribed at that time of day (teatime) ?
Great location - close to Tenby (20 minute walk). Nice to have access to a pool, sauna and hot tub. Restaurant and bar on site. Good breakfast
The bed was not comfortable (king was two single begs pushed together and I could feel the springs in the mattress), room was fairly clean but could be better. Bad smell coming from the bathroom drain. No fridge or bottled water in the room
It was easy to find, there was ample parking. The staff were friendly, and offered me a to go breakfast once I made it clear that I would be missing breakfast due to having to leave early. I was given a complimentary upgrade to my room, which was amazing, I just wished I had stayed longer to enjoy it
I think a lot of hotels are phasing out baths now because they take up too much room, but I’d still like to have a bath. Also the weather was not really good enough to enjoy my balcony but that’s no one’s fault 😂
Brilliant reception staff. Clean comfortable room. Air conditioning was a joy in the extreme heat. Spa facilities were nice and very good treatments.
No drawers in the room. Breakfast a bit mediocre Evening menu static and uninspiring - we didn't partake On-site car parking was £8 a day
very good staff comfortable room air con available breakfast very good overall a very pleasant stay would recommend a visit if you like a good spa hotel
restaurant can become quite busy and meals in the evening can sometimes take a little longer to arrive being informed of this by staff would stop any irritation to clientele occurring .
The pool and the spa were fabulous. Food was fantastic. Staff really helpful and overall atmosphere relaxed and welcoming
Loved everything will be back
The spa facilities were beautiful, the decor was lovely, the staff were the most kindest & friendliest people we’ve had the pleasure of coming across, nothing was too much for them day or night. So helpful & happy! We loved our balcony, the food was lovely (especially breakfast it was cooked fresh!!) the location is a 6 min drive to the beach and town centre, it’s very quiet and relaxing, swimming pool was lovely temp. Very clean, if you want a relaxing weekend this is IDEAL! Very elegant, calming and Can’t wait to go back!
We loved everything.
Lovely hotel and spa, great room and breakfast. Short walk into Tenby
Aircon dripped with condensation over our clothes. Staff apologised but offered no other solution than a fan on baking hot day.
Very welcoming staff, lovely room, breakfast was very nice with quick service ! Tried the hot tub and swimming pool and was very impressed with the bar service at the hot tub! Will definitely recommend!
Would have been nice to have an option to book a room with a private hot tub!
Really lovely stay, staff were excellent and so friendly, room was big and had aircon and comfy beds, hotel bar and breakfast were great. Didn’t use the spa but it also looked lovely, finally there was loads of parking
Bathrooms quite old fashioned and weirdly had a few spiders milling about. Coffee choices at breakfast a bit limited
An excellently appointed, well maintained hotel, situated in a quiet area. Very friendly & polite staff. Great facilities & a wonderful restaurant.
Nothing.
The stay was fantastic, the property was lovely, staff uber friendly and attentive. Restaurant and bar were beautiful!! 100% will be staying there again when in the area.
Absolutely nothing!!
Nice pool, bar and restaurant were very good
If you book through booking.com they charge you to park your car.
The best thing about the hotel is the location, the indoor pool , hot tub and the breakfast was good tasty pastry’s!
The rooms were deceiving air con just about worked beds felt like sinking sand. I wouldn’t stay there again.
3rd time at this hotel, thoroughly enjoyed it again. Rooms spacious and spotless, spa facilities are nice, the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast was excellent but the reason I decided to write a review was the staff… The lady that checked us in was warm and friendly, took the time to show us to the room, later a different lady was behind the desk and showed us to the spa.. whilst in the spa we were offered a drink from one of the waiter staff and everyone was just so pleasant. Thanks for a great stay Note to management- please fix your WIFI.
Good breakfast pleasant staff
Didn't expect to have to pay £8.00 a day for car parking
A lovely hotel. Staff were all friendly and the room was really lovely. Breakfast was excellent and we also had dinner there both nights. The food was very good. Excellent bar.
The hotel has been designed in a really thoughtful way. No rooms are overlooked, but each room has a nice view of the grounds. The rooms aren't big, but they are very well equiped, and did appreciate the table and chairs, on the terrace, or balcony, especially in the recent good weather. Bathrooms are well equiped with toiletries. Lots of free car parking, which you felt was very secure. Only minor problem, was the exit, on to a narrow road, you just had to wait, till you were sure nothing was coming from either direction. The dining room is decorated well and offers top class food, though very geared towards Asian tastes. Service is good. Prices are high. Quality is excellent. Quantities are good. Breakfast was great, well laid out cold buffet, regularly topped up, and hot food cooked to order. [And they didn't start to clear the buffet, till everyone had left, great!] Should you not want a large meal, you can get a really good selection of lighter meals, at the bar area, [and I believe brought to your room]. Spa is lovely, with amazig choice and quality of treatments. Pool is nice and warm. Two hot tubs, one indoors, one outside. Lots of seating of various types. Dry sauna. Towels supplied by reception, as you go in. Very clean Whole hotel has a lovely relaxed, quiet ambience, with dedicated staff, all very helpful and is quite convenient for touring the area. The walk in to Tenby town takes about 15-20 minutes and is a bit hilly, but taxis are cheap, if youfind it too much, as car parking isn'teasy in Tenby centre. Highly recommend this hotel. Had a great time there.
Nicely decorated, great dining room and lounge area. Used pool and jacuzzi - both nice. Will come back and bring my wife for a stay
Good location, but a trek into town. The spa was clean and available with a jacuzzi and sauna. Very comfortable bed and the room was quiet. Our room had been recently updated, redecorated with new carpet. Really helpful staff, nothing was too much trouble.
If you book through booking dot com you get breakfast but then the hotel charge you £8 per day parking?
Really lovely hotel and staff super welcoming photos don’t do hotel justice, great location to get to Tenby and Pembrokeshire area would definitely come back!
The rooms are lovely one thing I noticed was a slightest smell of damp in the room as you walked in with all the doors and windows shut but they are still clean and lovely and well looked after
Ayushi and the team are super welcoming, friendly & helpful. A lovely relaxing hotel with outstanding food, both the pan-Asian evening meal & possibly the best quality breakfast ‘fry up’ ever. Book direct to get the best rate. Only improvement is that the spa is a bit tired, albeit a nice conservatory. Overall, would highly recommend.
Very friendly staff. Good quality and choice of food. Plenty of space in the Spa facilities.
Paying £8 extra per night for parking.
Easy to find location, comfortable bed, extremely friendly staff that seemed 100% genuine and always happy to help.
Sauna could have been a little warmer was only 57c would prefer it to be higher, although overall spa area is very relaxing. Location is good approx 15/20min walk into town (mostly downhill from hotel - we got a taxi back up to hotel after dinner to save our legs)
I booked a table for Lunch for my partners Birthday, the atmosphere was calm and welcoming from the start, the service from the staff was excellent and the food superb, I would highly recommend, you will not be disappointed, we will definitely be returning again
The room was lovely and spacious and we had a balcony. The grounds were well kept and I enjoyed the pool. Breakfast was good. It was within walking distance of the town.
The hill to climb into the town but I know Wales is hilly everywhere so there is not much the hotel can do about that.
The facilities (spa, pool etc) were lovely, had a nice breakfast in their classy restauraunt and the rooms were comfortable.
Missing a couple of apps on the TV but nothing to detract from the experience.
We had a great comfortable room, excellent choice of food both at breakfast and evening meals
could not fault the hotel at all 👍
Staff were fantastic and very firendly. The place had a very chilled atmosphere
They had two electric charging points.
Didn’t like the £8 per night parking charge for not booking direct.
I had the vegetarian breakfast it was beautiful and the location was right by tenby town.
Really good staff
Nothing
Staff were very friendly Pool was nice Room was lovely and had a balcony Hotel was decorated well and kept well.
Extra charge for parking- apparently due to booking through booking.com £8 Drinks at the bar were expensive- someone paid £17 for 2 pints Extra costs if you wanted an alternative coffee and not a filter coffee as part of breakfast.
Close to the town and beach. Rooms were large and comfy
Staff use the EV charging bays to park so I had to ask them to move please. TV in one of our 2 rooms wouldn't connect to the WiFi limiting what we could show our toddler
Beautiful hotel and location
A little noisy around 11pm with staff clearing glass bottle recycling and indoor jacuzzi wasn’t working properly.
Food and staff
Floor too creaky in room
I really can’t rate this hotel and spa highly enough . The staff are really helpful and friendly. The bed was big and really comfy . The spa was excellent. As for the food in the restaurant both evening meal and breakfast was absolutely superb. We will be retuning as we throughly enjoyed our stay
Nothing
Fantastic few days away in this beautiful B&B this was our second time visiting and won’t be our last
Nothing
Stunning and very lovely staff
It’s was great
Lovely area. Good food. Friendly and helpful staff.
Everything
Nothing
Staff were lovely and friendly. Cannot fault staff. Room was nice and big and all very clean. VERY quiet hotel.
Very expensive for what it is. Swimming pool very small and you had to book to use everything. Was expecting a lot more for what we paid to stay here. Food was nice but VERY expensive and £8.50 for a pint! Location not very central and had to pay for parking as booked through booking.com.
Quiet and relaxing
Beds weren’t that comfortable
Staff were all lovely. Room was very clean and comfortable and a great location in Tenby. The breakfast had plenty of options. The spa is also great. I would highly recommend to others and will be returning again for a third time.
N/A
Accommodation was amazing clean and with a huge comfortable bed plenty of tea coffee on asking for extra we were asked how many we needed lovely staff who were so gappy to help, gentleman who worked as bar staff and served our meals was really pleasant and made us feel taken care of, all facilities in the spa area were immaculate had an amazing stay meals were tasty and reasonably priced the restuarant area was gorgeous best weve ever seen Would highly recommend this hotel close to Tenby town centre too.
Couldnt fault it
Absolutely superb 5⭐️
Nothing whatsoever
I found this hotel to be superb. I was actually staying next door and using this hotel for my evening meals. Due to a number of issues with the first establishment I felt I had no option but to move. The staff at the Heywood Spa were professional but kind, accommodating to my predicament and made my final night in Tenby one to remember. The room was excellent, spa very relaxing and the restaurant a highlight. All staff were excellent. My few days in Tenby were booked to relax after a difficult few months and I did arrive very stressed. The calm atmosphere at the Heywood transformed a break that wasn't going quite to plan. Thank you everyone at the hotel.
This is a quietly located hotel with a lovely spa. Its well furnished and the rooms are equipped with all you need for a relaxing break. Its within walking distance of Tenby which is an asset. The food is well presented tasty and generous portions. The restaurant setting is lovely and not cramped. We thought the food selection and accompanying beverages were excellent. The spa and pool area was clean and there was always someone on hand to offer you a drink. The conservatory with loungers was not busy and we had the pool and outside jacuzzi to ourselves which was a plus. We had lovely beauty treatments which aided our relaxation. The staff were all very cheerful and helpful we'd gladly return.
Lovely and excellent service highly Recommend
Nothing perfect
The room was perfect, staff were nice, though we did sau we were there for our weddung anniversary and the (very helpful) lady started to mnegative comments about how it was back then (14 years ago) granted the upgrades are lovely, but I would now never spend another anniversay there - ruined some lovely memories.
Hot tub wasnt as hot as i'd expect, had to pay £8 to park because I'd booked through 'booking.com' .. breakfast was very average (hash browns and sausage were typical frozen foods) and no better than a cheap chain restaurant.
