B&B La Barbera

A friend and I stayed here for three nights in early October. We wanted a quiet stop between the business of Rome and Sorrento. La Barrera did not disappoint. The town of Priamo is charming.

I’ve stayed in countless places across the globe and I have to say that our stay at La Barbera was one of the best. Perfect location, wonderful time and deck, and the staff goes out of their way to help in any way. The breakfast was over the top. Such a lovely place and great staff. Highly recommend!

B&B La Barbera is nothing short of exceptional. The rooms are stunning, spacious, and incredibly comfortable, with thoughtful touches that make you feel instantly at home. The view from my room was absolutely breathtaking—waking up to the sweeping panorama of the Amalfi Coast felt like a dream. The staff could not have been more helpful, polite, and genuinely friendly, always going above and beyond to make sure every moment was perfect. Breakfast was a highlight each morning, with fresh, diverse, and absolutely delicious options that felt like a true Italian indulgence. The atmosphere is wonderfully peaceful, a perfect reminder of la dolce far niente—the sweet art of doing nothing. If you want to experience the true beauty of the Amalfi Coast in the most authentic and memorable way, B&B La Barbera delivers beyond even the highest expectations.

If you are going to Praiano you NEED to stay here, these are some of the kindest people you will ever meet. The food was amazing, the rooms are extremely clean, the view is incredible. Cannot say enough about the generosity of the staff there. Will be returning here.

Best experience! Stayed here in July and absolutely loved it. So clean and beautiful. The hosts were so sweet, and the breakfast every morning was amazing. The whole vibe was peaceful and authentic—felt like a little home away from home. Would totally stay again! 10/10

It was an incredibly welcoming experience. Our hosts were warm, helpful, and delightful. The views from our room and from the breakfast area were stunning. The level of service and attention to detail was outstanding. We loved our stay in Praiano, and are thankful we found La Barbera.

We had the most incredible stay at B&B La Barbera in Praiano. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like family. Sylvia was absolutely outstanding, providing thoughtful advice on what to do and where to go — her local tips made our trip even more special. Francesco and Roberto were so warm, friendly, and accommodating. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they responded to any questions so quickly and kindly. Their hospitality was truly next-level. The breakfast was unbelievable – fresh, delicious, and served each morning on the balcony with the most breathtaking view. Every detail was perfect. Our room was spotless, beautifully designed, and opened onto a luxurious balcony complete with a hot tub and panoramic views over the Amalfi Coast. It was pure relaxation. We’re already missing them and can’t wait to come back. Thank you to the entire La Barbera team for making our stay unforgettable.

Beautiful property run by lovely people. It was the best part of our trip and was so relaxing. Will definitely be returning in the future.

Just returned from a fantastic 5 days at the B&B La Barbera in Praiano. The hotel is an immaculate standard, maintained in pristine condition by an amazing team, Roberto, Francesco and Silvia who looked after our daily requests providing invaluable advice for the local area. The small and personable team producing a most wonderful vacation experience including superb breakfast with daily local fresh produce including that daily special cake :-) The view from our room over Praiano and the coast was simply astounding. Thank you to the Team and we are already looking forward to our return in the not too distant future.

Great! Silvia was awesome!

What an amazingly BEAUTIFUL B&B! This place is absolutely gorgeous, with stunning views back to Positano. From the minute we checked in, we were treated truly like family. Silvia, Roberto, and the entire staff were truly amazing. We were welcomed with welcome drinks and snacks. The rooms are beautifully decorated, very clean, and spacious, with all the amenities you'll need, including a stocked mini-fridge! And we were pleasantly surprised to find a hot tub on our private terrace. WOW!! This B&B is in a great location, not far to walk down to the main town and beach clubs. One thing they didn't mention at check in but we discovered - you can order drinks and food to your room - which was very nice!!! We took full advantage of that! (Food/drink menu can be found on the tv - just call down and boom - delivered to your room). Breakfast is served daily on the terrace, with choices of wonderful home made breads and cakes, fruit, pastries, coffee, juices, yogurt, etc. One of the best breakfasts we had the entire 2 weeks along the Almalfi coast! Silvia was incredibly helpful to us, helping us find our way around - from arranging water taxis, to bus/walking instructions, restaurant recommendations, etc. She even arranged us a ride from the staff down to the marina the day we checked out to get a water taxi to Positano. We had not initially planned on staying in Praiano - but after viewing this place we booked it. And we were so glad we did. Praiano has become one of our favorite places along the Almalfi Coast, and we cannot wait to go back and visit our new friends at La Barbera. I highly recommend booking with them. We miss you already!

My wife and I spent two weeks in Italy and this was by far our favorite stay throughout our trip and our previous travels throughout Europe. The service from Roberto, Silvia and the rest of the team goes above and beyond to ensure you have a memorable stay. Silvia even offered to make us homemade lemonade when we would come back from our adventures in town and it was probably the best lemonade we've ever had! The rooms are spotless and we loved the blue tiles throughout and of course the view is one of the best in Praiano, your private patio is like your own little oasis with chairs and jacuzzi. The breakfast offers many options and everything was so delicious using fresh ingredients fueling us for our adventures of the day. We loved the more relaxed vibe of Praiano compared to the busier towns of Amalfi / Positano. I wish we could leave 6 stars for this place because they deserves it. We are already trying to plan our trip back some day, grazie mille once again to the La Barbera team for making our 3 night stay perfect!!

Such a great place to stay. Such an amazing and knowledagable team. Amazing roons with stunning views The breakfast is a real treat every morning to.

Honestly couldn't have had a better 4 nights. The rooms are immaculate, the views are stunning and the breakfast is delicious. More than that, the team are the best we have experienced. They care and can't do enough for you. Their recommendations are absolutely on point and they keep you away from all the busy tourist traps. If the owner reads this, the team are what makes this place, they are a credit to you!

If you're looking for a bed and breakfast with exceptional hospitality in a stunning setting, look no further than La Barbera. The beauty of the location is undeniable, but it's the incredible kindness of the hosts that truly sets this place apart. They made us feel like family, always ready with a smile and helpful advice. Beyond the warm welcome, the food was divine including the exquisite cake of the day – each dish a testament to authentic Italian flavors. Our room was a sanctuary, impeccably clean and modern with our own private hot tub and terrace. La Barbera is a testament to how wonderful a travel experience can be when you combine natural beauty with genuine human connection. I can't recommend it highly enough!

The most amazing stay! From the moment we arrived we were personally welcomed by one of the owners, Roberto with drinks, munchies and Prosecco! The other owner Francesco also made sure we were always looked after and taken care of. The scenery is breathtaking and the hotel is beautiful! The details and tiling incredible. This is not your ordinary bnb. Breakfast is a delicious feast and the staff so friendly. Sylvia really made our stay by looking after us and providing a wealth of information about the area, hiking trails, tours and restaurants. This little town has all the beauty and charm of Positano without the noise and busyness. In fact, we were reluctant to do a review and let this secret out! We loved our stay so much and would love to return!

Wow - would give 20 out of 10 if it were possible, absolutely fabulous couple of days. Views magnificent, hospitality extraordinarily high, breakfast superb!

My wife and I traveled to Italy for our Honeymoon in August of 2024. We spent two weeks traveling through Florence/Tuscany, the Italian Riviera, and the Amalfi Coast. We stayed in 5 or 6 different hotels during our two week trip. We truly did not cut any corners on this trip and while the entire trip was beautiful, and we loved everywhere we stayed, nothing compared to our stay at La Barbera. We had never experienced such gracious, friendly, and professional hotel staff before. The Amalfi Coast in August is extremely hot but the staff made sure to help us with our luggage and offer us a welcome drink of our choice (we both chose the freshly squeezed lemonade). We had booked one of the hotel rooms without a hot tub as the hot tub rooms were a bit pricier. We were brought up to our room to find that the staff surprised us with one of the rooms with a hot tub! They also left us flowers and a handwritten note. I could go on and on about this place, the staff, the views, the BREAKFAST. Everything was absolutely perfect. Thank you, Silvia, Roberto, Francesco, and the entire team at La Barbera. We will be back!

We spent our 10 year anniversary at B&B La Barbera and had an amazing time. The only thing better than the views are the wonderful staff that work there. They truly treat you like family, making sure all your needs are meet. Special thanks to Sylvia for all her kindness, she is so sweet, and we never forget her.

This hotel is just amazing and one of the most memorable hotels I stayed in. Amazing location with super clean and beautiful rooms with private views of the Amalfi coast. The breakfast is superb and staff are very friendly and helpful. When I go back to Amalfi, I will reserve this hotel before booking my flight.

I just got back and I already miss this place. The views, the room, the smell, the staff everything was beyond our expectations. I will definitely be staying here again in the future

This is the most gorgeous accommodation we could have hoped for. The staff are abundantly helpful and friendly. It is clean and the view is to die for.

Superb

Amazing experience. Roberto, Francesco and Sylvia made us feel like family. The place is immaculate and every detail is first class. No details were missed. They surprised us with a bottle of Prosecco in our room on our anniversary. The views are amazing. The breakfast is the best you will find anywhere in Italy. Cake of the day and yogurt that was incredible. They arranged dinner reservations, taxi rides and even recommended restaurants that would pick us up and drive us back after dinner. I cannot say enough about La Barbera. We have been to many 5 star hotels and this one beats them all. Can't wait to return again in the future. Do not hesitate. Book La Barbera for your trip to the Amalfi Coast. You will not regret it. The area (Praiano) is beautiful and not as crazy busy as positano but is just a short taxi ride away if you want to spend the day shopping or dining. Thank you to the team at La Barbera for an unforgettable stay. Grazie Millie !!!

The Best! It’s the perfect spot to “home base’ out of for the Amalfi coast. Praiano is quieter and more manageable than the surrounding and easily accessible cities. The staff is absolutely incredible, they seamlessly helped us through a train strike that would have substantially impacted our trip. They recommended restaurants that exceeded expectations within walking distance as well as set up the reservations as well as transfers to other towns (day trips). The rooms are spotless, seriously! The private balconies for each room are perfect, the views from your room are mind blowing. I can’t say enough about the breakfast. For the record I never leave reviews! For La Barbera the experience there was so amazing I felt I had to. Thank you Roberto, Francisco and Sylvia. We are already planning for next year and La Barbera will be a must stop. The best spot on the coast to decompress

I can't rate this place highly enough. Staff are fantastic. Rooms immaculate. Food delicious. They went out of their way to help make our experience amazing (surprise room upgrade, free taxi, welcome and goodbye gifts). This is the best place to explore the Amalfi Coast as it's really central. I highly recommend you book here!

Perfect in every way. Roberto, his family and the team are amazing. We would love to come back again soon

We chose to stay at La Barbera whilst we were travelling with friends for a wedding. It truly made the weekend and was beautiful. The staff couldn't do enough fro you from making breakfast memorable, to helping plan travel or advising on local spots to view. Would highly recommend and can't wait to visit again. Praiano is a more remote village up the road from Positano, yet you still get the breathtaking views, whether from your hot tub on your balcony or during breakfast on the terrace. 10/10 for La Barbera.

Our visit was amazing! Thank you to all the wonderful staff and owners for all your attentive hospitality!

Celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary with a stay at B&B La Barbera was just perfect. Sylvia was the best hostess. Answering any questions, helping with dinner recommendations, whatever we needed she was there for us. What a beautiful pleasant person. Fransisco and Roberto could not have been more charming and helpful. To the other staff members please forgive me for not mentioning you by name. Thank you. Picture perfect stay. There is nowhere else I would rather stay and would highly recommend this B&B. Thank you. Willie and Theresa Martinez

The most amazing B&B on earth! Everything was perfect and the staff incredibly responsive and pleasant. I was even picked up from a restaurant by Roberto since I had a bad back. The view is breathtaking, breakfast bettern than a five star hotel and the room like a palace. Thanks a million and hope to see you soon!

We were so impressed with La Barbera, our stay here was faultless. Such a beautiful place with unbelievable views and tons of character. The whole place was spotless but full of Italian charm. The staff here were great and so helpful, nothing was ever too much effort for them. Offered us great advice about places to eat, visit and booking taxis etc. even though we had planned a lot of stuff in advance. They made us feel so welcome. Food was delicious as well, all freshly made with plenty of choice. What better place to enjoy it as well, sat on the terrace in the morning sun looking over the beautiful Positano. Overall our stay here and in Praiano was amazing and the perfect way to celebrate our 10 year anniversary.

A stay at La Barbera is a most beautiful experience. From the carefully curated, authentic Amalfi decor to the spectacular views, it is an artistic and calming environment. The staff is fully dedicated to providing comfort and lovely amenities.

Amazing stay at La Barbera. Sylvia, Roberto and Francesco were incredibly helpful with all aspects of our stay. The view from our terrace was spectacular! Breakfast was delicious! The hot tub was a plus! We would love to come back and stay longer next visit to the Amalfi Coast. Most beautiful B&B we have ever had the pleasure to stay at. If you are lucky enough to book La Barbera. Do not hesitate! It is everything.. and more.

I cannot express just how incredible this place truly is!!!! I feel as though I died and went to heaven!!!! My husband and I are here for our 35th wedding anniversary. Not only is La Barbera stunningly beautiful, but Sylvia, Francesco and Roberto (2 brothers who own it) are so incredibly nice and helpful. They make u feel like your family from the start! It’s our first day here and we are so happy that we chose this bed and breakfast to stay at! It’s going to be hard to leave! The attention to detail, the cleanliness and the sheer beauty is truly remarkable. We will definitely be back, but we will enjoy the next 5 days first:) The pictures are one thing, but in real life, your breath will be taken away! So grateful and appreciative to be staying here! If you are in the area, this is a MUST! Definitely at the top of my list and I have been to some amazing places. You won’t regret it! GO!

B&B La Barbera is a total paradise on the Amalfi coast. My husband and I came to stay in Praiano for our honeymoon (and my birthday!) at La Barbera on the recommendation of a friend and the place is truly exceptional in every way. The views and location cannot be beat- Praiano is a peaceful respite from the more congested towns of Positano and Amalfi on either side - but with equally wonderful spots to walk and dine and easy access for day trips by local bus. The room was immaculate - beautifully designed with ornate tiling and details, extremely comfortable bed, and gorgeous bathroom/shower. The highlight for us was the hydromassage tub on our private balcony overlooking the ocean (perfect for a soak after full days of hiking and exploring). Beyond the amazing location, and extraordinary amenities- including an extensive made to order breakfast daily served on their beautiful terrace- was the hospitality of the owners and staff. What stood out most about Barbera was the care and thoughtfulness of Roberto, Francesco, and Silvia (as well as the kitchen staff!) - all who made us feel completely at home- helping with everything from transportation to dinner reservations and providing hospitality with a personal touch that made you feel welcome and cared for. We are so grateful for getting to spend our time on the Amalfi coast at La Barbera to celebrate at such a special place.

I really don’t want to write this review, because I will be heartbroken if this place is ever booked up and we’re unable to stay. But Roberto, Francesco, and Sylvia deserve every star sent their way. The upshot: stop reading reviews and just stay here. It’s beautiful, the breakfast is amazing, and the service puts the rest of the hospitality industry to shame. The staff of course know all the best spots in town and know the people running them personally. If you want something, anything, they’ll pick up the phone and make it happen. I could go on and on and on, but it would all be wasted words to just further drive home the main point: this place is worth scheduling your entire vacation around. Five stars without question, for the location, the family who runs it, the food, the views, the accommodations, and absolutely everything.

Amazing place , the team really look after you one of the best hotels have ever stayed at incredible. Book direct though not through expedia, issues with flights also booked through them nearly ruined the holiday and have spent hours on with chat agents to sort it out and they are no help at all.

Absolutely outstanding. The hospitality was out of this world. Sylvia, Roberto and Francesco (and team) treat you like family. No ask was ever too big. Francesco helped book us a wonderful cooking class. Roberto arranged transportation to and from Naples. Sylvia gave us fantastic recommendations. Breakfast? Get all the way outta here. Utterly amazing. The yogurt is life changing. The fruit is fresh. There is a “cake of the day”. CAKE. OF. THE. DAY!!! The room? To be fair, a suite. Just stop it right now! Comfortable. Immaculate. Spacious. Hot tub on the private balcony. Loungers to relax. Amazing bathroom with the best water pressure we had during our 12 days in Italy. The view? Couldn’t be better. We don’t want to leave! But can’t wait to come back. Don’t question staying here. Just do it

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at B&B La Barbera. The check in experience was warm and attentive. The room is spotless, very clean and fresh, with a great bed and beautiful linen. And the view. Wow, the view. Absolutely breathtaking, from the large terrace adjacent to the room, with hot tub, small table and 2 sun loungers. Sylvia and the team were very helpful with suggestions, be it restaurants in Praiano (there area lot of good restaurants), exploring the area or travelling to Amalfi, Ravello or Positano. The breakfast is also marvellous and plentiful (each guest can choose from a very wide variety of options). And my wife and I enjoyed a great aperitivo every night on our terrace. As for the location, I initially had second thoughts about choosing Praiano as a base for exploring the area, fearing it would be remote. That is absolutely not the case, and in fact it has its advantages - it is quiet, quaint, and the buses to and from Positano are less crowed (vs those travelling the Positano-Amalfi route). It was also a perfect base from which to hike the Sentiero dei Diegli (a must do if you want to do a memorable hike)

Incredible service and amazing views!

We absolutely LOVED our stay at La barbera. This place truly is a hidden gem..the best B&B on the coast. Sylvia, Roberto, and Francesco go the extra mile to make you feel welcome and at home. I can’t recommend this place enough. 100/10

From the Prosecco on our arrival to the thoughtful gift on our departure, our stay at La Barbera simply couldn’t have been better. Silvia, Roberto, Francesco and the rest of the team constantly went out of their way to ensure that my wife and I had the best possible experience. The hotel (I know it’s technically a B&B, but it was so much more than that) is located high above the village of Praiano, with a spectacular view from each of the five rooms along the Amalfi coast past Positano and all the way to Capri. The hotel itself is cleverly designed and was spotlessly clean throughout, and our room was amazing, with a massage shower and a hot tub (an unexpected bonus!) just two of the many luxury touches. Breakfast, served al fresco on the terrace, was one of the highlights of each day and was an experience that will live long in our memories. Another of the highlights was dining at a number of the local restaurants and cafes (recommended by Francesco), all of which were excellent, both in terms of the quality of the food and drink and the friendly and efficient customer service. In summary, La Barbera was one of the best - if not the best - hotel that we have stayed in, and we both had a wonderful time. If you’re thinking about making a booking, do it - you won’t be disappointed!

This was a b&b that made us feel part of a wonderful Italian family. They could not have been sweeter or more helpful; the view of the sea extraordinary, the peace off the beaten track. They organised a wonderful boat ride for us too. Could not have asked for more

The Team: Silvia, Roberto, Francesco, Gelsomina and Anna are the kindest, warmest people you will meet. You will instantly feel that your comfort is their top priority. You could not be in better hands. The Property: Immaculately maintained and so thoughtfully designed and curated. You could eat off the floors. It is so evident that there is a level of pride of ownership that is rarely seen. Anything that is supposed to shine, shines. The smells of the property evoke cleanliness. The Suite: Magical. What's important to call out is there's no real segregation between the "cheapest" and "most expensive" rooms. Anyone who's lucky enough to stay here will experience very much the same level of luxury, because the baseline of every suite is quite literally, luxury. The private terrace is the star of the show with sun loungers, a hot tub and outdoor shower! The Breakfast: Unreal. Creamy cappuccinos, detox water, fresh juices, homemade cakes, locally made cheeses, dairy and yogurt (life changing), fresh fruits, cold cuts, fresh bread... You will not find another breakfast like this anywhere. Overall: If I could give B&B La Barbera 10 out of 5 ☆, I would. We will DEFINITELY be back. This was the highlight of our vacation. Thank you, Team La Barbera!

We felt like family here. Sylvia, Roberto and Francesco were all so polite and accommodating. Sylvia greeted us and as we were between lunch and dinner yet hungry, she offered us some small bites to tide us over until dinner (which were amazing!). She helped us with making dinner reservations too. We had our 13 year old son with us and Sylvia was so nice to talk to him and make him feel special too. She also made sure we had a to-go bag of food and drinks when we had a 5 am taxi ride to our train. This was the best service I've ever had at a hotel or B&B. The room was amazing - the balcony and view just make it such a wow factor! We were able to walk to restaurants and shops, but I will warn that it is on the side of a mountain and there were a lot of steep stairs to get up and down! There is a bus available if you don't want to do stairs.

LaBarbera is a beautiful Bed and Breakfast, run by the most wonderful people. It is immaculately kept and is lovely. The rooms are spacious and have their own large patio. My room had a hot tub and overlooked the coast. The hosts go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. The food is delicious with so many options. The communication was fantastic. I had many conversations with Roberta prior to our stay and she responded without delay. The only problem with the B&B was leaving because I did not want to leave!

Gorgeous views of Positano & Capri. Well curated, Well designed, warm & thoughtful. #Best Cappucinos. The foam is almost marshmallowie...

amazing stay! stunning views of Positano coastline and sea. Silvia and Roberto were excellent hosts. very kind and friendly and mostly very helpful. We had a wonderful check in with a chilled beverage and tasty homemade sweets. Room was amazing, lots of shelf space inside. Beautifully appointed room newly renovated. Outdoor deck with hot tub and two lounge chairs top notch. Bedding very comfortable and a great shower. This BB is a must stay location!

Super nice property was easily our group's unanimous favorite of our entire vacation. Extremely helpful and friendly staff guided our itinerary, recommended dining options and checked availability. We definitely plan to return to this property.

The staff was incredible. Made us feel right at home. Beautiful property and a must stay.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about my stay here. This was my first time in Italy and I enjoyed my stay here the most. First of all, I have never seen a hotel so clean. Impeccably clean! Sylvia and Roberto are kind and attentive. I was a solo travel and they went above and beyond to help me find dining options and transportation. The Amalfi Coast is not exactly the easiest place when it comes to transportation but the staff here made the experience less daunting and way more manageable. I highly recommend staying in Praiano for those who want to avoid the crowds. The private terrace was a major plus. Breakfast here was also a peaceful and enjoyable experience. I felt like I had my own slice of paradise. I highly recommend this place and if I am ever in the Amalfi Coast I will be staying here. Thank you so much for hospitality.

A beautiful dream. Our visit to Praiano was as if we had a stay at a Bed and Breakfast in the sky. We were surrounded by blue all around us. From the azure blue of the sea, to the blue of the decor and sky, we felt as if we had landed on top of an Italian cliff. Can’t thank the staff enough for their friendliness. The breakfast was a delight. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This was hands down the best place we picked the whole trip! The staff was extremely helpful and the breakfast amazing everyday. The rooms and view outstanding. I couldn’t recommend more.

Best place I have ever stayed. The kindness and hospitality of the staff made our stay even better. Location and rooms were excellent and beyond our expectations. Only regret was not staying loner.

If you're thinking about booking La Barbera, my advice would be just to do it - It was absolutely perfect and by far the best property we've ever stayed in! Sylvia, Roberto and Francesco went above and beyond to help us with planning every little detail of our trip to make it extra special and stress free for us from the very first moment that we arrived. The rooms and terrace are stunning, and the view is even better, it really does take your breath away. The room was completely spotless and tidy each day. One day we even came home to a birthday gift for my partner which was so sweet. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and it was so lovely to sit on the beautiful terrace each morning. Make sure to request the cake of the day with breakfast each morning, all of them were soooo tasty. We will not stop raving about this property, and the amazing hospitality that all of the staff provide. We hope to return very soon as I am not sure anywhere will beat this! Thank you for the best trip ever.

B&B La Barbera was a dream come true for our long-awaited honeymoon! The staff (Sylvia, Francesco and Roberto) went out of their way to make our stay an unforgettable experience. From the welcome drinks (my fav was the lemon spritz) and beautiful flowers in our room, to the incredible breakfasts on the terrace and evenings spent in the jacuzzi tub overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, our expectations were far exceeded. We only wished we had booked a longer stay! Thank you B&B La Barbera- we hope to see you again soon!

The private hot tub overlooking the Mediterranean was what sold me, but it turns out this place has so much more to offer. This B&B checks all the boxes: stunning views, high quality accommodations, amazing staff, and great perks. I have never given a perfect 10 review, but this place easily deserves it and then some! The hotel was stunning, with attention paid to every detail. The rooms were beautifully decorated, large, comfortable, and clean. The hot tub on the patio was truly amazing, especially after a long day of hiking the Path of the Gods trail. The staff was fantastic. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had a perfect stay, from the welcome drinks of fresh-squeezed orange juice, to the breakfast on the patio overlooking the Mediterranean. If you are coming by car, the fact that they have their own parking is a huge benefit on the Amalfi Coast. I wasn’t even planning on visiting Praiano, but I wanted to try this B&B and I’m glad I did. I would have stayed a week if I could.

Just the BEST

Place was exceptional!! Family run business and the customer service was just fantastic. Sylvia and the brothers are perfect hosts. The views are to die for and the rooms, terraces and public areas and so beautifully decorated. We had a room with a hot tub and this made our 25th anniversary perfect. Breakfast was the best we have had on our whole trip along the coast with the best yogurt ever. It’s a little bit of paradise. Even when I forgot something out the room Roberto came and brought it to the next hotel we were staying at! Thank you all. We will be returning 😊

Outstanding views. Excellent service from all the staff especially Roberto and Sylvia. Beautiful place.

This little bed and breakfast in Amalfi is perfection! The property is incredibly beautiful and clean. The staff made our trip extra special! The weather was not ideal during our trip but they made sure we had fun activities to enjoy PRAIANO in the rain. Would highly recommend Sergio’s Home experience cooking class. The breakfast was also incredible our favorite during all of our stay in Italy. We hope to be back again soon!

Everything about B&B La Barbera was outstanding! Location, beautiful views, delicious breakfast, clean and comfortable rooms, the STAFF Silvia, Francesco and Roberto, and others that I didn’t catch their names! Would recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a great stay on the Amalfi Coast.

We booked a room at La Barbera that included a private terrace with a hot tub, and with the most incredible view of the Amalfi coast, including a view of Positano. The room was extremely clean and very comfortable, with a real king size bed that was t simply two smaller beds pushed together. Service was off the charts. Location is a little tough because of all the stairs that connect the town, but totally worth it for the view and privacy. Would go there again

This B&B was amazing! Great staff and fabulous rooms overlooking the water.

This B & B is absolutely gorgeous. It truly took my breath away. My suite was spacious and so comfortable. The tiles are so pretty and all the attention to details are remarkable. Having a private balcony to sit and watch the sun set every night was magical. The view overlooking the town and the water was spectacular. The best part of this place though is the people. Roberto, Francessco, and Silvia are some of the nicest people I have met. The moment I arrived I was welcomed and treated like family. I was given a map of the area and given lots of recommendations about things to do and restaurants to eat at (both Kasai and Il Pino were amazing), and even printed out the bus schedule for me. Everytime I came back from doing something I was greeted and checked on if I needed anything. Breakfast was amazing. The food was delicious and plentiful. The best part of the mornings was to be able to visit with you and talk about all my exploration and plans for the day. Thank you for making me feel special. I truly had an amazing time and wish I had been able to stay longer. I will be back without a doubt.

La Barbera is a heavenly place to stay in Amalfi! Their staff is so lovely and accommodating and helpful. They really know the area and gave us the best of recommendations. Praiano is the perfect place to stay on the Amalfi Coast, close enough to all the great spots but quiet and peaceful place to come home to. The rooms at La Barbera are small but new and beautiful and very clean. The outside terrace is something to be treasured! The views are breathtaking! You will not be disappointed, I could not recommend La Barbera higher!!!

If we could give La Barbera more than five stars we would. The setting is spectacular, the rooms comfortable and beautifully appointed with large terraces overlooking the ocean - even featuring an outdoor shower! Little extras were not overlooked such having a diffuser attachment for the hair dryer (which is a big deal for curly girls!), that I've never seen in all my years of travel. The owner, Sylvia, and her two sons that run the B&B were so lovely and helpful. They took care of our dinner reservations each night, securing tables with beautiful views, and gave great advice for getting around. We highly recommend La Barbera to anyone planning to visit the Amalfi Coast!

We stayed for 5 nights at this beautiful B&B, in Praiano, but it's much more boutique hotel than B&B, and was a perfect base for us to explore the Amalfi coast. The La Barbera over looks the town and bay, our room was magnificent, a great size, with the balcony and its hot tub and loungers being a great location both to start and finish the day. Breakfast is served each day on the terrace using local produce and freshly baked pastries and cake. The owners Roberto and Francesco could not have been more helpful with their advice and help making restaurant reservations and arranging a pick up for our boat trip to Capri from the charter company. Even giving us a lift one evening to save a walk down the hill to the harbour was offered and gratefully accepted. Sylvie's and Barbara's smiling faces at breakfast and friendly chat makes you feel right at home and nothing is too much trouble for any of the team. There is nothing I can find fault with in this venue in its 2nd season of operation, and would recommend it without hesitation to anybody wanting a central base away from the hustle of other nearby locations such as Positano, and wish La Barbera continued success. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would! My husband and I stayed here only 2 nights. I wish we could have stayed here our entire trip! Between all 7 cities and 7 hotels we stayed at this was by far our favorite. The room and hotel was absolutely immaculate and beautiful. And most importantly the staff-family- who runs it is amazing. They were courteous and prompt and catered to our every need with a smile. I would recommend this b&b to anyone.

What can I say about this property... it was perfect! Beautiful rooms decorated in white and blues that reflected the location by the sea. Comfortable beds, linens and pillows. Luxury bathrooms with modern body showers. There was a common area where you can have breakfast or just relax and soak up the view... and the view was spectacular! The breakfasts were amazing. Roberto greeted us on arrival with a glass of prosecco which was a nice touch. Each day we returned from our travels the staff offered us coffee, fresh lemonade or another drink. All the staff were gracious, friendly and helpful arranging dinners at local restaurants and making suggestions about other sites to see on our trip. They made you feel like family! Especially Silvia. She was delightful! I can't say enough about this place except I jealously wish I could keep it a secret! It will always be a special place to me.

We were in Italy for 16 days to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. We visited 6 different cities, and all of our accommodations were fantastic, but La Barbera had the cleanest room, the best breakfast, a breathtaking view, beautiful decor, and the staff was top notch. One of the owners was actually checking our room after it was cleaned one day to ensure it was done well. They also made gluten-free treats for my husband to enjoy. We could see that the staff truly loved working there. La Barbera definitely deserves its 5 star rating. I recommend them without any reservations.

This place is absolute perfection! No detail is missed and you feel so welcome the moment you walk in. We were greeted with a glass of Prosecco and some finger foods. We were pretty hungry and had asked for a sandwich. I wasn’t sure what to expect but the fresh mozzarella, basil, and tomato was the best thing I ate the whole trip. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the views are stunning! Roberto and Francesco helped us with transportation, provided us with recommendations, and kept the wine coming! I wish every B&B was run like La Barbera! I will stay here again in a heartbeat if I ever make it back to the Amalfi Coast!

We had an amazing experience and 5 stars alll the way across the board loved it and is quiet yet close to the the beautiful cities on the Amalfi Coast

This is a beautiful small new B&B with a warm and welcoming staff. The best views - private outdoor small garden area with spectacular sunsets and views of Positano. The only downside was having to navigate so many steps to het anywhere. May be very challenging for peopke with knee problems. Regardless, we loved it here and would return. Sylvia and Francesco were so kind and very helpful.

This new bed and breakfast in Praiano is a gem. Me and my wife have high expectations and we were so happy with our stay. La Barbera opened in April 2018 and everything felt brand new but very homey. Two brother's manage the B&B and their Auntie makes the breakfast. The breakfast was some of the best food we had on our trip. Our breakfast favorites were the prosciutto, tiramasu, lemon chiffon cake, and yogurt (all home made by Auntie!). We stayed in the room with the private jacuzzi on the balcony. We had the perfect view of the ocean and the Amalfi coast. You can see Positano and even the Faraglioni rocks in Capri from our balcony. We were a little hesitant about staying in Praiano and traveling to and from Positano but the buses were easy to manage. There is an excellent restaurant within 10 minutes of walking called Kasai that was so good that we went two nights in a row.

My husband and I are so glad we decided to stay at La Barbera for our last 2 nights in the Amalfi Coast! We loved everything about our stay at this upscale B&B. It's a family run B&B and they all work together to make sure their visitors have a great experience. A few highlights: - Our room was decorated so beautifully and had its own private terrace with an amazing ocean view. We loved watching the sunset over Positano each night. - Comfortable bed! Best sleep we got during our 2 week Euro-trip. - Nice shower with good water pressure. - Delicious breakfast with lots of variety. They even had homemade tiramisu one morning - YUM! - Helpful and friendly hosts who made sure we had anything and everything we needed. The hosts are from Praiano, so they were able to give us recommendations for the best restaurants and things to do.

such an amazing experience. The hotel and the personalized service my girlfriend and I received was unimaginable. The view the food. it was all beyond amazing. Thank you for such an amazing experience.

This property was awesome! Everything was as pictured on the advertisement and brand new. The staff were very helpful and the food was some of the best breakfast we had in Italy. We will return when we are back in the amalfi coast! Easy access to all towns along amalfi coast.
