Romantik Hotel Muottas Muragl

The stunning location of course was incredible. As well as the hotel itself. Evening meal & breakfast was excellent.

This is the third time I've stayed at this hotel. It's a fabulous and very pleasant place. The staff are very kind, and they help far beyond what's necessary. The breakfast is excellent, and the dinner menu is also great. The location is unbeatable, with the best possible view of St. Moritz, Silvaplana, lakes, etc. And from here, you can easily walk to the Segantini hut, which is another excellent experience. Highly recommended.

The room isn't very big, that's all.

Second floor rooms did not have elevator access which was ok for us but for some could be an issue.

Exceptional location, playground area and excellent views. Dinner was expensive but good.

Pricey but worth it. 3 year old charged €60 per night. Breakfast was ok. Funicular station is a walkable distance from Punt Muragl. Took quite some time to find it. The train station barely had anybody and only cyclists were passing by. Mobile connection was not working so better to be prepared beforehand.

Amazing views. Had booked a long time in advance so expectation had really built up. We weren’t disappointed. Would love to stay here again.

It was pricey but you get what you pay for. An amazing experience.

Fantastische Lage oben auf dem Berg mit phänomenalem Blick, sehr gute Küche - rundherum sind tolle Wanderwege und für Kids gibt es direkt hinter dem Gebäude einen schönen Spielplatz! Man sollte nur bedenken, dass man auf über 2.500m Höhe ist - wir waren scheinbar nicht optimal akklimatisiert und hatten anfangs trotz guter Betten echte Probleme beim Schlafen ;)

Bis auf die sehr motivierten und freundlichen Kellner beim Dinner (sowie die Köche, die tolle Arbeit machen, auch wenn wir sie nicht gesehen haben) wirkte das Personal abweisend und lethargisch, im Fall der Kellner beim Frühstück sogar eindeutig unfreundlich und grob genervt - nicht tragbar in der Preisklasse! Selbst im vom Hotel betriebenen Café kam das erste Lächeln erst mit dem Trinkgeld…

Die Lage ist aussergewöhnlich und toll ist, dass man mit dem Bahnticket alle Bahnen in der Gegend nutzen kann

La dépendance du funiculaire, qui affecte non seulement les hôtes, mais aussi les services de l'hôtel (je n'ai pas pu prendre le petit-déjeuner dimanche 19 à cause du retard causé par une panne du funiculaire).. La taille de la chambre est totalement insuffisante.

Das Zimmer war wirklich sehr klein, das muss man sich bewusst sein.

Stunning location, friendly staff. The funicular up to the hotel is fun. It is a great half way stop if you are taking the Bernina express across the Alps. I'd recommend a walk to Lake Staz for a swim and lunch in the summer.

Es hat uns ausserordentlich gefallen. Das Hotel ist schön eingerichtet und das Personal sehr freundlich. Auch das Essen hat uns sehr gemundet. Unser Glück obendrauf: Das Alphornfestival hat auf Muottas Muragl stattgefunden und wir haben auch die Musik genossen.

Einziger Wermutstropfen, die Matratzen waren mir zu hart.

Amazing hotel on top of the Swiss Alps. We got a room with a balcony and we had amazing views of the Endgadin Valley below. Breakfast each morning was amazing. Lots of options and helpful staff to make you coffee, cappuccino, etc. The free toboggan sleds were fun on a snowy day. A bit pricey and hard to get to but worth it for special trip.

Einmalige Weitsicht über das Oberengadin. Grandioses, sehr vielseitiges Frühstücksbuffet mit Morgensonne und Bergsicht. Ausgangsort für wundervolle Schneespaziergänge mit vielen aussichtsreichen Sitzbänken.

L'emplacement est exceptionnel. La décoration est très réussie, pas clinquante du tout. Le service est parfait car nous n'aimons pas le service ampoulé.

Notre chambre était réellement petite sans aucun placard pour ranger nos affaires.

Un lieu parfaitement rénové, situé au sommet d'une montagne avec une vue imprenable sur St-Moritz et les autres villages de plaine. L'endroit est très calme, propre et les chambres sont bien agencées malgré qu'elles ne soient pas très grandes. Nous y avons aussi manger le soir et la nourriture était excellente.

Beautiful place. Fantastic view. Will be great place for family stay with skiing and sledging as well as hiking. Had a beautiful and tasty dinner with them. Truly enjoyed the stay.

The breakfast can be provided earlier around 7am maybe because the first furnicular down is at 8.15 am and the breakfast starts at 8 am. There won’t be enough time for those who booked room with breakfast yet rushing for glacier express since we need to take the furnicular down and then bus to st moritz station.

Die Unterkunft ist ein Traum ! Super schön gelegen , hoch oben auf dem Berg . Es gibt tolles Frühstück und die Zimmer sind gemütlich eingerichtet. Die Aussicht ist wunderschön. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Disfrute mucho el que estuviéramos en la montaña y la nieve. Las vistas y actividades que hay son muy variadas. El desayuno es excelente y el personal siempre atento a cualquier cosa que necesite.

What a special place to stay at the top of the funicular top of the world. We stayed in a winter wonderland and loved the view at breakfast and the modern yet rustic room with an amazing bathtub.

Einzigartige Lage in der Höhe, nur mit der Standseilbahn erreichbar (inklusive). Wunderbarer Blick auf das Oberengadin und die Berglandschaft. Sehr zuvorkommendes Personal. Tolles Frühstück Buffet, köstliches Essen.

Zimmer sind aufgrund des Grundrisses des historischen Gebäudes etwas eng.

Great location high up overlooking St. Moritz and Celerina. Excellent restaurant and friendly staff. The team running the funicular railway helped us with luggage, and stored our skis at the valley station.

Tutto, la posizione è assolutamente unica e magnifica, l’hotel e le camere molto belli, lo staff attento e disponibile in ogni nostra richiesta. La colazione ottima e il ristorante per cena qualità.

Ein rundum schön gestaltetes Boutique-Hotel - ideal für einen kurzen, entspannenden Urlaub, auch mit Kindern. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, das Frühstück erlesen und die Aufenthaltsräume angenehm eingerichtet.

Die Kosten von CHF 60 pro Kind pro Nacht sind etwas hoch, wenn man bedenkt, dass das Kind im gleichen Bett schläft wie die Eltern.

Great hotel in spectacular location. Helpful staff changed our room so we could have a better view. Meals were excellent.

Maybe there could be a coffee machine in the room. One was provided in a communal area near the rooms though.

la posizionme splendida e il panorama mozzafiato sull'Engadina.

La mancanza di aiuto per trasportare i bagagli sulla cremagliera che rappresenta l'unico modo per raggiungere l'Hotel. Non si pretende uno sherpa che si carichi in spalla le valige, ma almeno un carrellino per i bagagli sarebbe un grande sollievo...

Um dos melhores cafés da manhã que já provei! Equipe muito cordial, vista do hotel incrível e extremamente fácil de chegar - ponto de ônibus na frente da gôndola, 5-10 Min de St. Moritz.

A estadia teria sido espetacular se não fosse a questão da limpeza. Das quatro noites que ficamos hospedados, apenas um dia o quarto foi arrumado. No segundo dia, esquecemos de colocar o sinalizador na porta pedindo para limpar (falha nossa). No terceiro dia, a cama foi arrumada, porém não fizeram a limpeza do quarto. Utilizamos utensílios (taças de vinho, xícaras de café) por dois dias - os quais ficaram por lá sujos e não foram retirados. Juntou três sacos de lixo do banheiro, que deixamos fechados no chão - também não retiraram. Algumas das toalhas nossas sujaram (o que é esperado), porém foram dobradas e guardadas no banheiro sujas mesmo como se fossem novas. Tão inacreditável estar com camas arrumadas, toalhas dobradas e guardadas, no meio da sujeira, que acabou perdendo credibilidade, infelizmente. Pela localização, beleza e valor, o hotel poderia contar com algumas comodidades - frigobar, cafeteira - e opções de lazer - academia, etc.

Die Lage und die Aussicht.

Das Zimmer war zu klein mit 2 Hunden.

Frühstück war sehr gut, grosse Auswahl und sehr frisch alles zubereitet.

Das Zimmer war sehr klein, Preis-Leistung war ok. 20 Fr. für den Hund pro Nacht ist doch hoch. Das Nachtessen war gut, aber nicht dem hohen Preis entsprechend.

Excellent location with fine food and wonderful staff. The front desk staff Norina was particularly helpful and hospitable.

Fantastisches Frühstück.

Als Vegetarier würden wir uns mehr Gerichte mit „Planted“ wünschen. Aber die vorhandenen vegetarischen Menüs waren sehr fein.

Stunning location at the top of a funicular, with amazing views. There are a range of fabulous walks possible from the hotel Lovely outside terrace. Restaurant seves excellent food. Staff were all really friendly and helpful.

The location was amazing and the staff were friendly. They couldn’t do enough to make our stay very special. Annette at reception was professional but also warm natured. The breakfast staff were also exceptional. There was facility to make your own warm drinks in a lounge area. The walking from hotel was superb with levels for all.

The rooms were on the small side but not a problem

Die Zimmer sind gemütlich, hell, modern. Die Badewanne ist toll, alles ist in schönem hellen Holz gehalten. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir fühlten uns rundum wohl und wir kommen ganz bestimmt wieder! Ein tolles Hotel!

Wonderful room with gorgeous view from the balcony. Staff was helpful and friendly. An experience you don't often get.

Lighting in the room was inadequate - no light near sofa so reading was impossible there. Also there was really no place to put bags so they needed to be unpacked and put in the closet but there was inadequate lighting there as well so it was difficult to see if we had cleaned everything out. Had to rely on cell phone flashlights.

Amazing views from the restaurant and deck. Nice to have access to the coffee and tea and fresh fruit in the little lounge area at all hours.

Our room was very small without much view.

Remote, romantic and so very authentic. The smell of the cedar as you enter your room is beautifully welcoming. Breakfast was to die for, including the cappuccino made by Alberto! From start to finish it was exemplary 11/10! Experiences of a lifetime.

An amazing location steeped in history but super modern in a cosy wooden way! All very professional and surrounded by walks for all abilities. Really easy to get to the funicular from the stations nearby.

Lovely food but, obviously, there is no choice of where to eat so make sure you book a table as there were a lot of groups just dining there for the evening then heading back down the mountain.

Absolutely everything the location and the staff were brilliant. Thank you to Leonard for looking after us.
