Sterling V Grand Madurai

The staff, all of them, were very cooperative and helpful through out the stay. It was a bulk booking for a large set of relatives and friends. The hotel staff handled all the room allocations quite well and ensured that they are taken care off. Rooms were clean. Well ventilated.

3 points for improvement which can help the property to move up to next level: 1. Bathrooms / toilets can have better finishing on the walls, joints and fittings. 2. Lift can be little better (cleanliness and little noisy) 3. If the room has double occupancy, the property can provide 2 key cards so that each occupant can use the room independently. While these are not big complaints from my side, these would for sure help in more satisfaction of guests.

Washroom was not clean and had an odour most of the time. Quality of food was poor.

Rooms were not fully functional, AC was not working. Room change was done after almost a day but the replacement room AC was also found defective. Next again, third room was given in which AC outlet drain was leaking water inside the room.

Location was perfect & nearby to our exhibition hall. We were served very good Jain Breakfast & Dinner & the hospitality of the restaurant & over all staff was very humble & homely. A very comfortable stay.

Cleanliness is something was not up to the standards. Rooms weren’t clean as we had to ask them to have it changed to different rooms as the sofas and blankets were covered with some shiny particles which were getting stuck to our clothes. Bathrooms weren’t clean enough to the standard

Property is in a good locality & though it is located about 8km from Railway station, the stay was peaceful.

Please consider buffet service for lunch and dinner as well. Thanks to other staff as well for their courteous service. That makes the stay memorable

Please consider renovating the property as the washbasin, doors and bathroom fittings are good old and have developed visible stains. Doors in the earlier allotted room refused to open as well

There was a water leakage during midnight from sprinkler system and pooled water in the corridor.

Fabulous breakfast. Everything we ordered from the kitchen was amazing.

Our small family of three, my wife, myself and our 11 year old son, reached sterling after an extremely long journey from Kerala. The first indication that we have reached an extremely hospitable environment came right from the beginning with the security, who very kindly gave us directions, how to plan our trip for the next few days and so on. Further, in the main lobby we met ms.stella with her pleasant smile and warm composure, her welcome drink was soothing to a very tiring gut. Ms Rasika at the main lobby so conveniently explained every word..such pleasant and soft spoken staff. During our stay, the food we had from the streets didn't suit our son's digestion. He had a medical emergency at the wee hours of the night. The staff immediately responded to action helped us to change our bed sheets, to get us medication and checked on us the next morning with absolutely no fuss Any medical issue in an unknown town is worrying, but for not even a second did we have an alarming situation. The chef provided us the health drink we requested, rasika's home remedies and Mr. Rajkumar's timely help made us feel at home. After the long queue in meenakshi Amman temple, we were late for dinner time, but mr.rajkumar, made sure we had our dinner ready at the resort. Even when we wanted an extra paper copy of a document, the main lobby staff, helped with absolutely no fuss at all. Been to many resorts, but the hospitality, care and comfort at sterling is unparalleled. Such an amazing, peaceful and divine experience. Thank you for everything sterling. Thank you Madurai.

Water retention in the bathroom outlet. Quick water logging in the bathroom and that would last around 10mins to go out. Frequent power cuts at night which was the first time we encountered in a hotel stay ever. And the worse part was the checkout process. They made us wait at the parking for 30mins as some politician’s car was parked blocking the pathway to the exit and the security and the hotel staff simply could do nothing. They even refused to open the back gate saying it was permanently closed. Not a good experience at all. Would only recommend this place if you have no choice and need to stay for some urgency.

Located in the center of the city with lots of traffic. Very BAD FOOD at the restaurant. No alternative access to good Veg food in he vicinity.

La piscine est fermée depuis le 25 octobre 2025, et pourtant elle devrait être ouverte selon les conditions de vente.... Aucune réduction concernant le manque de piscine.... Donc fuyez cet établissement, qui n'est pas commerçant et est malhonnête, car publicité mensongère.

Les buffets sont très bons, variés et personnel réceptif

Publicité mensongère : il est indiqué sur le site que la piscine serait ouverte à partir du 15 janvier. En arrivant grande pancarte avec piscine, bar et cocktail. Mais la piscine est vide sans eau, le bar fermé. Le seul bar ouvert est au sous sol, sombre et glauque. Salle de bain vétuste . L'hôtel n'a jamais répondu à nos messages pour avoir des lits jumeaux que nous n'avons pas eu.

The room was not clean, the property is poorly maintained. It is not a star hotel.

Not clean, they claim they are four star but they don’t deserve even one star

Hotel environment was not much positive. Glass separator in the room were not clean. Corner of the room or bathroom were not clear. Wifi was not connecting after taking the help from reception too. I gave 3-4 reminder just to have few basic requirements. So about service I cant say it’s quick. Need to improve in many direction.

Le bruit causé par le personnel qui claque des portes au premier étage toute la journée et en soirée .impossible de se reposer alors qu’on paie un séjour pour aussi se reposer ! La chambre et les draps n’étaient pas propres ! on a du demander à re nettoyer et changer les draps ! le mobilier est très vétuste ! La robinetterie est à changer !

Hotel bien placé près du centre commercial Saravana store . Le personnel est à l écoute. Les chambres sont spacieuses. Le lit très confortable.

Accès à la piscine interdite. Robinetterie de la salle de bain vétusté. Chambre mal insonorisée.

Poor lifts / poor facilities in room, very hard beds . But food was really good!

Worst property I stayed in Madurai

Not neat rain water coming inside the room and passage way no proper water supply to bathroom

Restaurant was superb ans staffs mr Madhan Kumar and chief Nithiyanathan was kind and prepared my delicious food on my request and very courteous to us
