Abgesehen von dem oben Genannten eine große Enttäuschung, gleichgültiges und offensichtlich unmotiviertes Personal, ein durchschnittliches Frühstück. Das Hotel muss dringend renoviert werden, das entspricht wirklich nicht dem Fünf-Sterne-Standard.

El hotel, que conserva un estilo clásico, está en muy buena condición. El personal es muy amable. La habitación estaba muy bien, luminosa y amplia. Muy bien ubicado.

Das Personal beim Frühstück war etwas überfordert und ist viel ohne die Tische abzuräumen herum gelaufen.

The A/C wasn’t cool enough, and the bathroom felt more like one in a regular home than what you’d expect from a five-star hotel.

Das Schwimmbad wurde gerade renoviert, was ich einen Tag vor der Reise erfahren habe. Das Schwimmbad war der Grund meiner Wahl. Das Hotel hat sich äußerst großzügig erwiesen, als ich das gebuchte Zimmer einen vorher verlassen habe, haben sie den Zimmerpreis erlassen. Die Garage haben sie mir kostenlos überlassen. Zimmer und Frühstück waren super.

Das Zimmer war zwar super, hatte aber leider eine Badewanne mit Duschfunktion.

Die Lage zur Innenstadt ist perfekt

Dies ist ein Hotel der gehobenen Klasse, aber für junge Leute nicht mehr zeitgemäß.

Sehr gute Lage des Hotels, Sehr schöne Zimmer, Frühstück war am Morgen auch sehr lecker und liess keine Wünsche übrig. Im Cafe sehr feine Schwarzwälder-Torte gegessen, war überrascht wie gut diese schmeckte.

The hotel itself is iconic. The rooms are large, comfortable and have good taste. One feels like a royal. The spa and gym are also clean and have everything you need.

One could expect a bit more of the breakfast given its price. But it has most things a European breakfast offers.

Die Lage ist grandios, da man in 5 Minuten in der Innenstadt ist. In dem Restaurant ist man sehr gut und die Weinkarte ist hervorragend. Das Personal und der Koch waren ausgesprochen freundlich und sehr kompetent. Wir haben nicht im Hotel gefrühstückt.

Der Handtuchwärmer war heiß und nicht auszuschalten, so dass es im Bad sehr warm wurde.

Die Junior Suite war sehr geräumig, die Fenster hielten den Lärm der Straße sehr gut ab, die Klimaanlage funktionierte und war zum Glück nicht sehr laut. Im großzügigen Badezimmer war alles sauber und in Ordnung. Am besten hat uns der begehbare Kleiderschrank gefallen, in dem man alle Sachen verstauen konnte, so dass nichts im Zimmer herumlag. Die angeschlossene Gastronomie wie Restaurant, Café und Bar war gut und gemütlich.

This hotel was maybe once a five star but it is in decline, nightly rate implies a luxury product but this is not what is delivered, even water from the room is charged extra beyond one complimentary bottle provided on the first day, breakfast was also very poor quality for the additional price,

Excellent hospitality at reception, friendly staff in general, a very comfortable room, a charming piano bar and great facilities overall. I’d like to highlight the quality of the breakfast service, which is provided entirely by young people who are all very dedicated to their work.

Beautiful room, freshly renovated shower room. Has a nice pool and sauna that we enjoyed. Good location for sightseeing of Freiburg. The room was well airconditioned. We were impressed that there was a menu of different pillows for comfortable sleep available. Employees there were nice and welcoming. Breakfast buffet featured classical Mediterranean breakfast with assortment of sausages. Grilled vegetables and tomatoes with cheese were nice.

When we arrived, there was a mistake- our room was made for one instead of two guests; Also we were told that for our reservation the breakfast was not included. We then showed the booking for two guests with breakfast included, the person looked again, and confirmed there was a mistake on their side, and promised to update our records. However during checkout we were asked again to pay for our breakfast, and had to do the explaining again. This felt unprofessional. The room itself was beautiful but felt a bit aged. We found open yogurts in the minibar, which seems was left by the previous guests. The toilet lid was not attached to the seat, toilet itself splashed water almost to face level when flushed. The shoverhead joint to the water tube leaked water in a thin water jet. Selection of food was relatively little compared to other five star hotels. On one occasion we waited for around 40 minutes for our menu order to arrive, despite early morning low number of hotel visitors ordering. There was a noisy construction ongoing right outside our window at 7 am, that woke us up. Also we could hear how the other rooms are being cleaned up

Old school aristocracy type experience, everything made of wood, classical music playing in the lift, gold trimmings all over, concierge wearing special uniforms to match. Very special from an aesthetic point of view. Valet parking.

Worst of all, the mattress was rock solid and the pillows were like flaps of fabric. I got literally zero sleep. This is totally unacceptable. There is basically no air conditioning, it's a shared system where the air gets passed around the rooms in serial. It was non-existent, I was unbearably hot and they said they couldn't do anything about it. The shower was low pressure and hard to adjust. The seats in the room were extremely utilitarian and uncomfortable, again sacrificing comfort for style. A bunch of the rooms are about 4 minutes walk from reception, you walk through tunnel over the street into a different building, so it didn't feel like I was even staying in the hotel. I came here for work, not sure I would actually recommend the general location otherwise.

Overpriced and not worth the hype. We also had a room being renovated under our suite and had to put up with drilling and jack hammering at 9pm on a Saturday night . €500+ night definitely not worth that

Das gilt nicht nur für Sie : Ich verstehe nicht, warum selbst beste Hotels keine zwei Kofferböcke im Doppelzimmer haben können und warum es in den Bädern so knappe Ablageflächen gibt.

Äußerlich er erinnert das Hotel immer noch an eine große Vergangenheit. Die Lage ist ideal.

Es fing damit an, dass man mir an der Rezeption sagte, ich hätte keine Buchung. Ich musste erst den Ausdruck aus meinem Computer vorzeigen das war das erste Zeichen, das in diesem Hotel kein geschultes Personal arbeitet. Dann gab man mir ein Schlafzimmer ohne Fenster, ein dunkles Loch. Im Nebenraum gab es ein Fenster zu einem hässlichen Innenhof. Preis: 460 € pro Nacht. Das Frühstück wurde extra berechnet, aber das Buffet entsprach keineswegs einem Top Hotel. Beim Auschecken wurde mir eine zweite Person berechnet, obwohl ich eindeutig nur für mich gebucht hatte. Insgesamt hatte ich den Eindruck, betrogen zu werden. Spitzenpreis, der in keiner Weise berechtigt war.

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral direkt am Rande der Altstadt, das Auto wird vom Personal in die Tiefgarage gefahren, grundsätzlich erfüllt das Hotel die Erwartungen an ein gehobenes Haus, schönes Schwimmbad

Simply the best hotel in the whole region by far. Nothing compares with the elegance, service and quality. Would always recommend it.

Staff were excellent, particularly a receptionist named David who helped me arrange hospital treatment for my wife who was suffering with gastroenteritis.

Nous avons séjourné à plusieurs reprise dans cet hôtel doté d'un très grand charme. Situation idéale pour explorer la vieille ville de Freiburg. Personnel très sympathique et à l'écoute de vos besoins.
