Late check in prepared by the hotel. Spoiled water tap for drinking water in room. Poor waterpark maintenance. Corroded handrail.

Had an absolute blast at Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast! The hospitality here is top-notch—everyone was so friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The room was super comfy and clean, and the entire property is just beautiful. Also, major shoutout to the kitchen team because the food was amazing! A special thanks to the Rock Royalty staff as well for taking such good care of us and making our stay extra special with their awesome service. Will definitely be back for another staycation!

The best was house keeping girl did a best work by decorating a room as it was my son's birthday . Night band was really Good .

Room was surprisingly upgraded for us . However I would expect better maintenance of Suit room type . Bath tub was not functioning well , also the shower was a bit broken . stand for shower gel was shaking . It looked like we were given room which was not maintained since some time. house keeping man used to come twice a day but didnt clean plates and were left like that . He would only clean toilets & make bed.

Firstly, my friend and I booked Hardrock separately but same room type, my fees is 50sgd expensive then her one, and when check in, counter give my friend two day water park ticket and 4 free drinks, but for me counter only provided one day water park tickets and there is no free drinks. Second, after water play we went back room for shower and found there is no hot water, we called two times asked them to come and fix, my three kids are totally wet and cold, we wait nearly 40 mins , the ppl found is the water valve issue. They have a very not responsible speed for handling emergency facility maintenance.

Great breakfast. Lovely room and easy to get to the Waterpark and Private Beach. Also got a free upgrade to a Deluxe which was a nice touch.

I was a bit surprised with having to pay a large security deposit after paying in advance for the room. Felt unneccesary.

We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay during the Ironman weekend. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable, and the hotel facilities were very well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we especially appreciated the early breakfast arranged on race day for Ironman participants. It was a thoughtful gesture that made race morning much easier and showed how well the hotel catered to the needs of participants.

We hv dinner at GMT+8 … place very nice near to the poolside. Nigel suggested food really tasty- especially the milkshake! Yummy

We had our first time visiting Desaru and staying at Hard Rock Hotel. It was a pleasant experience overall. A special thank you to our housekeeper, Ziqah, for preparing our baby boy’s birthday cake and the hand-drawn decorations on the mirrors.

Really enjoyed the ambience and awesome food served at HRC. Googled about the steak served at HRC and tried it ourselves! Really was super amazing food served and great hospitality by the staffs, NIZAM, MIRA & KEVEN. Overall super happy to celebrate birthday here! Thanks for the cake and definitely a great time here!

Big and spacious rooms. Also had dinner at the restaurant GMT+8. My mother is lactose intolerant so Nigel at GMT+8 very helpfully helped her create a special meal of grilled chicken with blanched vegetables. He also saw us swatting flies so he proactively helped us put a fly repellent fan on the table. Excellent service!

Really enjoyed our holiday, made even better by the genuine and attentive service from Adda, Kani and Salman. They went the extra mile to make my whole family (including two very energetic boys) comfortable! The kids club staff were also very caring and the kids LOVED it they kept begging to stay longer or return. Will be back!

The food was good, but the ambience was better. With the live band and all. The staff was friendly and approachable. There was a welcome drink which is replenish each time it finishes.

We had a late check in due the surge of guest coming but still it was thorough. The bed and pillow, to me was a bit too soft that I had a sore neck when my wife and I woke up.

With exemplary service standards exceeding guests expectations coming from the helpful Ms Sabihah from Reservations Team, the prompt and thoughtful Hilmi and Nizam from F&B and the amazing Rock Spa Team, HRH Desaru Coast is in a reputable position. Future guests to make their special requests prior, allowing some time for the respective Depts to act on, also to be specific and state with clarity for the Team of power staff from HRH Desaru Coast to execute as accurate as they could. :)

Nothing to dislike. The hotel is great and has much room for improvement. For further enhancement, the hotel can be more self-contained; having a round the clock convenience store within, a Desaru gift/souvenir shop other than the HRH store. An in-house vendor to handle sweet room surprises for guests coming to celebrate. A fast food take-away outlet perhaps.

Friendly staff, easy access to facilities and waterpark, room was clean and they even had a cute mirror decoration as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary.

Everything was great except that the aircon was too cold and when we switched it off the floor gets wet and slippery due to the condensation (it was humid weather). Tried increasing the temp but no changes. Nothing we could do about that.

We chose to return this June because we didn’t have enough of the place last year. It was such a delight to be back. The smiling staff members and music made the atmosphere a welcoming and happy one. The permanent availability of cold drinks option (almost always had cold plain water and another flavoured drink) plus a standing sanitizer dispenser at the hotel lobby were much appreciated. It is definitely value-for-money as the accommodation rate included daily admission to the Water Park (re-entries permitted). Hotel allows borrowing of towels into the water park. The direct entrance from the hotel to the water park was convenient. Special compliments to the following Service Staff: - Syafiqah (Guest Service Manager) who remembered us from our previous trip and was always all smiles and attentive - Rosli (Service Staff at Recreational Counter) who had an excellent memory for names and attended to our interests in his best ability whenever we had questions - Bella and Kani (Staff at the Rock Royalty Lounge) who exhibited great guest service and maintained their composure even when faced with guests who did not adhere with the etiquette of dining at the lounge. They made us realize how challenging being a frontline staff is. The food standard at the main restaurant seemed to have dropped slightly compared to last year’s. The food at the Rock Royalty Lounge, though more limited than the restaurant’s was however of good quality. The lounge however (if I am not mistaken) is only available to guests who have chosen certain room types. It was overall a wonderful trip. We are looking forward to our next stay there already.

I had a tremendous experience during my stay at Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast. From the moment I arrived, I received a warm and genuine welcome from the front office team. Ms. Farah and Ms. Niya were exceptionally professional, friendly, and attentive, making the check-in and check-out process smooth and effortless. They are truly valuable assets to the company. I also had a wonderful dining experience at the café in front of the stage. The food, service, and atmosphere were excellent. Throughout my stay, every staff member I encountered was helpful, approachable, and displayed the utmost kindness, professionalism, and dedication to their work. Thank you to the entire Hard Rock Desaru team for making my stay so memorable. I look forward to returning and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking outstanding hospitality and exceptional service.

Things I liked about Hard Rock Hotel - Spacious, well designed and comfortable rooms - Friendly and responsive staff - Allows guests to borrow electric guitar during their stay - Excellent live band in the evening - Direct access to the water park - Outdoor Pickle, volleyball and badminton courts coming up soon. - No direct access to beach but they have a quick on call buggy service which sends guests to Westin, which has beach acess. In any case, Westin is just a 5 min walk from Hard Rock. Things that disappointed me - No live yoga classes - No other live entertainment except for evening band - We had the buffet breakfast and dinner and in both cases I would describe the quality of the food as quite ordinary. This would not be an issue if it were a 3 star hotel. However, for those of us who were customers of Hard Rock Cafe in the 1990s to 2000s, the food in the main restaurant Sessions was a far cry from what I had expected. For those who have a car, i would strongly recommend driving 12 mins to Desaru Utama where there are many resonably priced dining options. - swimming pool was a simple rectangular pool. Aqequate for laps but not particularly fun.

The room feels old and not updated. The beach is far. The food and buffet is ordinary. The facilities are not appealing - eg. small pool and nothing much to do in the hotel. The furniture in the hotel is dilapidated.

It was an overall pleasant stay, room was fairly clean, I had a little issue with my AC and it was rectified promptly. Check in was a breeze, breakfast was okay. Direct access to the waterpark, (waterpark on the otherhand needed a big makeover). The grounds of HRH was clean, location is pretty convenient, we caught the buggy to Westin for the beach. It was a pretty chill atmosphere, very family friendly. We requested a room that was away from the lifts so we dont really have an issue with noise. Once we closed the sliding doors it fine, the music isnt blasting or anything. I would say that it was value for money.

The stay is alright, room is comfortable, however the towels looks a bit old, it's a time to replace them all, it's very obvious that they are old towels as there are shades of black that's soak into the fabric. The breakfast spread is bad, Westin's breakfast spread is so much better. The "sunny side up station" is bad, very slow, kept breaking eggs, kept redoing and it's too slow. Compare to the area, Hard rock is a bit towards the steep side, I do expect better, at the minimum, the towels.

All the staff at the lounge were great! Kani was very friendly:) we enjoyed our stay!

Unlimited kids club was the highlight of the trip for both kids and us! Room is clean, bed is comfy. Staff are friendly and we are greeted everywhere we go. Kids loved the VR games and program planned for them and they can’t wait to come again.

The whole experience was calming. Staff are welcoming and attentive to guests' needs. Getting a package of body scrub, Bali massage and facial was totally worth it, with clean bathroom to wash up and right temperature during the session. It makes me want to return again for next visit. Thank you, Rock Spa for the invigorating experience. 👍 I wish there is lemongrass or lavendar essential oil for massage.

Overall experience is good. Cleanliness and courtesy is there. The atmosphere is happening during night time. The breakfast spread is not so extensive. Chicken is bland and under cooked for drumsticks. If able to extend the checkout late will be good for adventure park play.

Rooms and facilities were clean. Hotel pool was nice for the kids to play in. Very convenient to go to the adventure waterpark as it is directly connected. Hotel also provided towels for it as well which made it very convenient. Breakfast spread was good and the kids enjoyed it.

Pricing of the hotel was abit steep. Would have been better value for money if it was priced cheaper. Another restaurant in the hotel would be nice to provide more variety in cuisine.

The room and service was amazing, as always. The food, however, was disappointing. The lounge also ceased serving evening mocktails.

We recently booked a 3-night stay at the Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast Duplex Suite, and it completely failed to live up to its brand name. There is absolutely nothing premium or "rock star" about how this property is run. If you are looking for genuine hospitality and honesty, look elsewhere. The "Full House" Deception I initially booked standard room. Our package explicitly included a complimentary room upgrade. At check-in (11:00 AM), the front desk flatly denied it, claiming they had "full occupancy." Because we wanted a nice family trip, we decided to pay out-of-pocket to upgrade to a Duplex Suite for our 3 nights. It quickly became glaringly obvious that the front desk had lied to our faces. The school holidays had just ended the previous week, and the resort was incredibly quiet. The waterpark was completely spacious and uncrowded, and the hotel felt barely 60% full. Look, if a hotel is not keen on honoring a complimentary upgrade, they shouldn't sell packages that include it. To make it worse, they used the exact same fabricated "full house" excuse later to deny our request for a 4:00 PM late check-out, capping us at 2:00 PM. For a guest paying a premium rate for a top-tier suite for 3 nights, a 4:00 PM checkout is completely reasonable when the hotel is half-empty. It’s just pure stinginess. Sub-par Room Conditions & Maintenance For the premium price of a Duplex Suite, the room was neglected and falling apart: Severe Water Damage: In the kids' bedroom, the ceiling is completely bloated and warped from water damage. The grille sags so badly that the door hits it and cannot even close properly—a major privacy and structural issue. Plumbing Problems: The bathroom basin was badly clogged and failed to drain water properly. the basin also leak water whenever I soaked the kids swimming suit. Stingy Amenities & Inconsistent Housekeeping: From the day we checked in until the second day, there were absolutely no face towels provided in our suite. Yet, when housekeeping cleaned the room on the third day, face towels suddenly appeared out of nowhere. Furthermore, we were only given 2 adult slippers. When I asked for extras for my kids, staff brought standard room slippers instead of suite ones, and when I requested the correct ones, the staff member looked visibly unhappy. Even the extra towels requested were short towels, not proper bath towels. Disgusting Hygiene Standards: The moment we turned on the fan, massive fluffs of dust came flying out all over the room. This is clear evidence that the room had not been properly cleaned or dusted before our arrival, which is completely unacceptable for a premium-tier suite. Verdict Management seems content to rely on corporate scripts and fake "full occupancy" excuses to skimp on service, completely ignoring the fact that guests can see how empty the property actually is. Terrible room maintenance and zero hospitality.

Spacious and peaceful resort. Hard rock staff really paid attention to my needs and made my daughter’s celebration here at hard rock resort a wonderful experience. Shout out to Ms Syria who has graciously received us at the reception and provided all the necessary information and assistance we needed.

Location was good for relaxing and play. Easy access to the Adventure Waterpark. Buggy was also provided to go to the beach, which is just 5 minutes away. All staff were friendly and helpful. Service was really 5 Star.

Overall the staff was very friendly, except the service staff in the level 3 bar area (nect to the pool) was unprofessional and not friendly. The F&B quality was poor, and not kids' friendly. Not even pizza available. The Roxity lounge staff was friendly, but the lounge bites can be improved. Overall the standard is poor as compared to the nearby hotel like Westin.

The hotel was nice, clean, comfortable and complete. The breakfast buffet was good with many food options. I told them it was my son's birthday and they kindly wrote a birthday message for him and gave a complimentary slice of cake.

One of the rooms were only ready after 5 pm, 2 hours delay from check-in. I was expecting for some kind of compensation for this delay but there was none. The beach is about 5 - 10 mins walk from the hotel. They had a buggy service but you have to wait for it and there was often a long line.

There is nothing that I particularly like about it.. except the fact that I was spending time with friends.

Firstly, the property looks like old abandoned flats, refurbished and turned into a RESORT. The room is dated and lousy. Parking is horrible. Breakfast area looks like a market!!
