Azaya Pool Suites

The hotel has an excellent location, right on Benaulim Beach, but beyond that, nothing about the property works. They don’t even maintain a proper reception—just a small IT room that doubles as the reception area. There are no welcome drinks, no orientation, and no one to explain the property layout, restaurants, bars, or facilities. The room design is extremely odd. There are no hooks in the bathroom, the toilet jet spray is dangerously powerful with no way to control or reduce the pressure, and the bathtub is placed on the balcony, fully visible from surrounding rooms—completely bizarre and uncomfortable. Staff service is below par. You need to follow up repeatedly, and even then many things simply don’t get done. Room service and housekeeping are consistently delayed and inefficient. At one point, the housekeeping staff informed me that they didn’t have sugar or tea sachets to replenish the room—unacceptable for a so-called premium property. Breakfast was another daily struggle. The options were limited, food quality was poor, and the restaurant was clearly understaffed. Items were frequently not refilled, crockery was missing, and orders were extremely delayed. Overall, this property is one to avoid. Despite positioning itself as a premium hotel, even mid-tier hotels offer far better service, management, and guest experience.

Hotel is dead now, zero maitenace, zero service. We arrived at 3 pm on 25th dec (peak season), no welcome no one at reception, room was not ready they gave room at 4.30pm with no proper housekeeping done in room, towel, bathing essentials were missing. Swimming pool is in unsafe condition all over inside and outside pool tiles are broken, bath tub in room was non operational. Resturant including beach side is dead no staff take order or deliver

Azaya has great infrastructure adorned with lush green . While everything is great and the staff try their best to make it easy for the guests...it's the little functionality flaws which create misery ...the exhausting system in the room is a major problem because of which the rooms are stinky . Most of the dishes on the menu are not available as basic ingredients are not available with the kitchen team...we could not have cappuccino throughout our stay as their coffee machine was out of order.Such things are not expected in a 5 star .To cheer us up , Rosamind Fernandes did his best to bring a smile to our face. I would request the management to solve the functional issues as otherwise its a good property.

Overall, a nice resort with some areas for improvement. The food is great. Special thanks to their CDC, Mr. Sunil, and the other restaurant staff.

The property’s amenities looked good but had issues. We had mosquitoes in the room, the shower room was choking each time some1 bathed. The swimming pool looked beautiful but when I went to swim in it the water level was just 2.5-3 feet. I asked them to increase level they said they hav instructed the concerned but nothing happened. Then I realised the pool water level was never more than 3 feet and it is more of a show pool. Food was ok soups & starter were good but main course was not so great. Curries were bland. They dont have a goan chef at all, which was quite disappointing. So all in all an average stay for us. After paying so heavily for the deluxe pool room, the resort did not provide value for money. Whenever I would highlight these issues, the guest manager would simply say sorry sorry for everything and would try hard to rectify it. But after paying such huge amts one would not expect the above issues to comeup at the first place. I have stayed at Hotel st-regis, which is very near to this property, they really know how to delight a customer. The only highlight on this trip was my marriage anniversary dinner arranged by Mr pulak at the beach at there blue iris restraunt. The food was good & they had done pretty good decoration. We enjoyed it a lot.

We went there to celebrate our first anniversary and the overall experience was really beautiful. Toufiq specially was very cordial and was there to help even on his day off. We got a room upgrade as well and they too celebrated our anniversary with a nice room decor and a beautiful cake. Thankyou Azaya ! Would love to visit again - Abhisekh

We were moved to this hotel due to an unplanned extension to our holiday . This hotel has the potential to be a beautiful Boutique Hotel. However, the place is falling apart and the buildings look run down, covered in mould and crumbling apart. The swimming pool was half full, the bottom tiles were broken and left there, the edges were crumbling. A labourer was sanding the decking and it was all settling in the pool. The staff on reception are useless, when we were making a complaint, and we asked to see a manager, seven members of staff hid behind a wall . Give this hotel a miss .

Kim and Abhinay were fantastic; they prepared a perfectly tidy room and were always in a wonderfully good mood and genuinely kind. I deeply respect their diligent work and positive energy. My husband and I had a truly lovely time together, enjoying the pleasant and welcoming environment. Everyone on staff was consistently courteous and created a warm, inviting atmosphere. This perfect blend of flawless service, cheerful smiles, and respectful attitude made our experience unforgettable. We highly recommend this place to everyone seeking a perfect getaway. We had a unique and wonderful experience at the Azaya. Travelling at the end of monsoon season we had the place to ourselves. All of the staff at this hotel were absolutely fantastic and made our stay so memorable. We ate brilliantly despite a smaller buffet option as the chefs made us food to order. One of our party had his very first Vindaloo and loved it. The pool was lovely and warm and access to the beach is a HUGE plus. The rooms were well equipped and spacious with plenty of room to store our stuff. One of two repairs were underway to prepare for the busy season but we had no major disruptions. Overall a fantastic week of relaxing, sunshine, good food and peace and quiet. Thanks for a great time!

Great place, very scenic and peaceful. It is my second time here! Lovely rooms and facilities including the beautiful pool. Clean room , polite staff. Mohan,one of the cleaning staff did a good job at cleaning the room.

Azaya is a beautiful beach-facing property, newly built with modern rooms, updated fittings, and well-designed washrooms. We stayed here for our daughter’s birthday, and the team made it special with complimentary room décor and a delicious cake. The food is excellent—though the breakfast buffet has a limited spread, every dish is spot on. The pool is well maintained, equipped with safety tubes for kids, and the property is just a minute’s walk from Benaulim beach. Overall, it’s a pleasant, family-friendly stay offering great comfort and value for money. We truly enjoyed our time here.

A highlight of our stay was the resort's thoughtfulness regarding our little one's meals. They provided plain paranthas, khichdi, and milk around the clock, which was a lifesaver. This simple gesture made our days so much easier and less stressful, as we didn't have to worry about finding suitable and right food for our baby. Beyond the specific amenities, every single staff member was genuinely welcoming and helpful. Whether it was at the restaurant, by the pool, or even just passing in the hallway, everyone greeted us with a smile and was ready to assist. I had such a wonderful dining experience here! The food was absolutely delicious every bite was full of flavour and cooked to perfection. I tried the bibimbap prepared by Chef Ajay Yemkar, which was fresh, beautifully presented, and bursting with taste. I also had the butter chicken by Chef Funil, and it was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. The service was equally outstanding. Aman Kumar looked after us the whole time with such warmth and professionalism, making the experience even more enjoyable.

We had stayed for 5 days in azaya beach resort in September 2025 with our 10 months old baby and it was her 1st trip, it was very great experience. We were provided with all possible help irt babies needs, chef and other restaurant staff specifically Altaf was very thoughtful regarding this. So if you are traveling with baby, your stay will be very smooth. Room was very nice and clean. Whether it was room service or housekeeping or security guards, everyone was very polite. I would highly recommend this place.

I would like share the review for the resort it was very luxurious specially the private beach access which is so cute and calm at the same time. The staff was very friendly specially valency and sanjana padnekar who make my birthday arrangements so wonderfull at the beach side cabana though it was monsoon season but she tried her best i would like to thanks her for that she also help for the room as due to my baby I have some issue with the room she assit her with that too which made our three day stay so comfortable and relaxed. Food here is really superb. We had pizza, burger and breakfast all of them are top notch. Aftab had provided good service. Rooms are a bit ok, not upto 5 star level. They had some issues. It has very clean private beach access. Property is very big.

Had a lovely experience at the resort. Went there for my mom's 50th birthday and it was a memorable experience. Enjoyed both the room and the hospitality from the staff The location is amazing and right at the beach, though it was raining at the time, we still made the most of it. The rooms are also well made with good vibes The manager, Sanjana, was very hospital and even helped me in coordinating a surprise for my mom on her birthday. Their chef Tara at la concha was also very accommodating and open to hearing our requests.

So glad we took this trip to Azaya Beach Resort Goa which turned out to be the best experience in a long time. About the property: Located right across the South side of Benaulium beach, which is almost like a private beach access, right next to Taj property. Swimming pool for the kids and adults which is also fun. The property arranged for Hi-tea every evening and a game of housie that kept the guests engaged and lightened the mood. The walk on the curated laws, winding pathways and above all the serenity of the location made our stay an amazing and relaxing one. What we liked the most: Quick check-in, huge bed which could fit almost 4 people, clean rooms. Most importantly the staff made us feel so very welcomed with their warmth and kindness that it felt like home. They were quick in responding to any queries and requests we had. Special thanks to Sanjana, Rylina, Chef Tara, Mr. Vikram (GM) and the bell boys all of whom showed their appreciation for selecting Azaya. I would definitely recommend this property and will visit again.

We had a thoroughly relaxing stay at Azaya - even in rainy season. The resort is lovely, our room was very clean, spacious and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable and bathroom facilities were great. There was a lovely welcome when we arrived, both in reception and in our room and we were treated to a wonderful little surprise after each time housekeeping had serviced the room - many thanks to Maliston and Kim for this. The resort is on the beach and we enjoyed strolling along the beach and relaxing by the pool, in between the rain showers, as the temperature is still very pleasant in August. All of the staff were extremely welcoming during our visit, with the service in the restaurant being great and the food thoroughly enjoyable. Many thanks to Vinayak the Chef plus Aftab, Sohil and Vaibhavi who looked after us so well in the restaurant. Overall we had a wonderful stay at Azaya.

Beautifully located right by the beach, our stay at Azaya was lovely. We had a few initial issues with our room (it seems a few wings at the hotel need refurbishing), but the team was incredibly attentive — Sanjana and Rajat ensured we were well looked after, and we were soon upgraded to a stunning pool villa, which made all the difference. Special thanks to Valancy and the front desk team for their support throughout. They were prompt and super helpful, and even ensured we had a packed breakfast for our long drive to the airport. And to the restaurant staff — Aftab who was very attentive and knew our meal preferences, Manoj who prepared takeaway breakfast for our hike, Amio, Aman, Sairaj, Vaibhavi and Chef Tara — for the warm service and delicious food every day. Also grateful to Mohan, Maliston, and Elvis from housekeeping, who kept everything spotless and for the beautiful towel art in our room. A great experience overall — thank you to the entire Azaya team.

We were travelling with a one year old kid, Mohan and joseph were really helpful as house keeping staff. Overall the staff was friendly and prompt.

I spent 4 days at Azaya Beach Resort and had a truly wonderful stay. The beachfront location is perfect and the hospitality made all the difference. A big thanks to Aman Kumar for his warm and attentive service and to the housekeeping team, especially Maliston/Mustafa, for keeping everything spotless and comfortable. The food was excellent - fresh, flavorful, and served with great care. From start to finish the team ensured we felt welcome and well looked after. Azaya is one of those rare places where both the setting and the people make your stay unforgettable. I’d love to come back!

Stayed at Azaya beach resort goa end of july and it was an amazing relaxing stay for a week.. stayed in d deluxe pool villa and it was blissful Would like to thank Mr vikram sharma- gm, mr rajat verma for being so warm and helpful in every way.. chef tara m sunil for cooking yummy dishes.. and housekeeping team of Malistan and kim for making beautiful animal props with their creativity, and the room cleaning was impeccable Azaya is truly a home away from home.. being a regular guest their right from d food to d stay plus gorgeous ocean view and stunning pool its truly a memorable experience which everyone needs to experience

I was initially reluctant to book our stay here as we had bitter experience in another popular 5 star property. I was little convinced after i spoke to Joeliston from reservations. Must say, it was worth the risk. Beautiful property and spacious room with a big private pool. The private beach access is relaxing and the beach is so clean. Polite staff with amazing service. The prices are also reasonable considering it is a 5 star property. We will definitely go back. Duty manager Rylina was extremely pleasant and helpful. Joeliston from reservation was very helpful too. Thanks to the whole team for making our stay special

The most comfiest resort ever. Shout out to the manager Ms Pednekar and Ms Rancila for the amazing stay experience. Thoroughly enjoyed with family. The only resort where there is something for everyone… gameroom, club, library and gym with amazing sea views. Me Aman Kumar was out server at Lynx and he made sure that the meal was made as per our request. We had visited for a birthday celebration and they went out of their way to order a cake and make it memorable for us. Kudos to Team Azaya for helping us create some amazing memories for a lifetime🤗

Azaya Beach Resort in South Goa was perfect for our family getaway! The staff was very helpful, the food was amazing, and the huge pool was a hit. With direct beach access and an indoor games zone, there was something for everyone to enjoy. A relaxing, fun-filled stay for all ages!

Had a great stay. Sanjana was very helpful throughout the process and during the stay as well. The property has a huge pool, club house with alot of indoor games and private beach access, which was great for a huge group like us. Everything at one place. The beach was well maintained. The rooms were clean, all thanks to the housekeeping staff, especially Maliston & Sherry.

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at Azaya Beach Resort, Benaulim, Goa, for two magical nights, and I must say, it was an experience that transcended every expectation we carried with us. Our family of six, were warmly welcomed with beaded garlands and a refreshing pina colada. A wheelchair was immediately arranged for my 90 year old granny, who instantly felt at ease and was able to access the paradise this property is. We had booked three rooms, each of which was a haven of luxury, comfort, hygiene and elegance. The rooms were well-ventilated and spacious, providing the perfect place for rest and relaxation after soaking in the vibrant Goan sun. Azaya Resort is breathtakingly beautiful and it seems to flow seamlessly into the golden sands of the dreamy Benaulim beach which is only few steps away from the property. We soaked in the private plunge pool as well as the sparkling swimming pool whilst sipping on our exotic cocktails. We also thoroughly enjoyed playing Table Tennis and Snooker at the Clubhouse. We felt rejuvenated. It was particularly heartening to see my grandmother feeling liberated in the pool. The soul of Azaya Beach Resort, however, lies in its people who went above and beyond to ensure every single need of ours was met promptly and graciously. A very special mention must go to Sanjana. She didn’t just greet us with her radiant smile but remained in constant touch with us throughout our stay. She was kind enough to update us about the weather conditions, suggest activities for us suited to each day and made sure we always had something to look forward to. It was especially sweet of her to check whether we had reached home safely after our stay - a gesture that speaks volumes about her commitment and the extraordinary level of hospitality at Azaya. Sanjana, Aman Kumar Singh, Aftab, Elvis, Raisilla, Craig, Joylan, were truly the heart of our experience. Some names escape our memory and we deeply apologise for the same. Their warmth and genuine care created an atmosphere that made us feel like we were in a home away from home. La Concha deserves an equally heartfelt shoutout. Every meal was delightfully curated to suit our palette and the fresh local seafood was an exquisite culinary journey. The team at the restaurant was undoubtedly attentive, cheerful, and genuinely passionate. We felt pampered and were surprised with a delicious cake that we got as parting gift. We were truly touched. Needless to say that the service was impeccable. Our hearts are full of gratitude for the way each team member touched our lives during this short but unforgettable getaway. This is not just a Resort — it’s a sanctuary of happiness where every corner exudes beauty, every smile is heartfelt, and every moment feels like a gentle embrace from paradise itself. To everyone at Azaya Beach Resort — from the management to the housekeeping staff, from the restaurant to the beach guard — thank you for crafting memories that will stay with us forever. You made us feel like family. We left with full hearts, recharged souls, and a promise to return again soon. Without a single negative point to mention, we definitely recommend Azaya to anyone considering a trip to South Goa — this is the place where magic lives.

I recently stayed at Azaya Beach Resort, Goa, and had a truly wonderful experience. The resort is set on the beautiful, quiet Benaulim Beach—clean, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing strolls or sunsets by the sea. The lush greenery and calm atmosphere made it a perfect escape. What really stood out was the staff. Auston and Abhinay were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, and Miss Sanjana made our experience special with her friendly service and local tips. Their warmth added a personal touch. Azaya is the perfect mix of comfort, nature, and great hospitality. I can’t wait to return!

Restaurant was nice. Food was amazing. We had North Indian food. Aman kumar did his best to make our experience pleasant.

Great resort with amazing sea view and excellent rooms. Quiet and soothing experience as you would expect in South Goa. Breakfast is good and staff is very helpful and provides amazing hospitality (Craig, Manoj). Also house keeping staff (Maliston) was very polite and utmost professional. Loved our stay here and would recommend couples, families, etc to surely visit.

Great location, beautiful surrounding atmosphere, great staff. Most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff ever, lovely and great first impression of hotel. Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in where we had dinner. Food was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I was very pleased with my stay. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.

We had an excellent stay at the Azaya! Rooms were clean. Relatively easy to get chairs at the pool. Service was excellent by manoj . Hope i can return again sometime soon.

I stayed here 2 nights this June, though we checked in at midnight, the guest relations received us well and check in was very smooth. Special thanks to Guest relation manager Sanjana, she was in touch with me before arrival and throughout the trip to make sure we had comfortable stay. I had breakfast both days there, food options are pretty good and I tried Ala carte dinner with Mocktails, they were amazing. Thanks To Aftab from dining space, he absolutely took good care. The beach is just about 400 meters from pool I absolutely felt pampered with all facilities n service standards were on par. They found out it's my bday n did a room decor when I was away.. that was pleasant. overall I had a perfect relaxed trip. Look forward to visiting again.

Fantastic stay with my love of my life . It was indeed a great stay at Azaya. We stayed as a couple . The hospitality was at the peak. Sanjana lead the crew . Team was super hospitable . Any requirements or requests or any queries , even though they didn't have reception they were so approachable. Aur kya chahiye. Best of luck guys . We will come soon

An excellent place to stay in South Goa! The staff is exceptionally courteous, and the spacious rooms are thoughtfully designed. The entire hotel campus is picturesque. The food was delightful, though the breakfast and dinner buffet options could be more diverse.

I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent stay at Azaya Resort in Goa, which was nothing short of a nightmare. I booked one of the highest-rated rooms with a private pool, expecting a luxurious experience, but instead, I encountered multiple serious issues that completely ruined my stay. 1. Air Conditioning Failure: On the first night, the air conditioning in our room was not working, leaving us in extreme discomfort. Despite sending a technician, the issue could not be resolved, forcing us to endure an unbearably hot night. 2. Unclean and Unhygienic Conditions: Both the original and the replacement room were dirty, including the private pool, which was in an unacceptable state. 3. Water Issues: On the second day, the toilet and shower had no running water, making basic hygiene impossible. 4. Damaged Bedding: The bedsheets provided were torn, old, and completely worn out. 5. Pest Infestation: The most shocking issue was the presence of large bugs and cockroaches running throughout the room, making our stay highly uncomfortable and unsanitary. I have video evidence documenting all these issues, including the broken air conditioning, lack of water, damaged sheets, and cockroach infest

We booked two weeks at Azaya Beach Resort, Goa in October 2023, 16 months ahead of our stay. 17 days before we were due to depart I had an email from our tour operator telling us that the hotel had cancelled our booking because ‘they were overbooked’. I was devastated as we’d chosen the hotel carefully before booking. We’d also got visas and were so looking forward to our holiday. Our tour operator offered another hotel which was a mile from the beach so we rejected it and couldn’t find another hotel we liked so close to departure. We decided to stick with Azaya Beach and put our stay back a week. It meant we had to go through the hassle of applying and paying for new visas for which our tour operator kindly reimbursed us. When we arrived at Azaya Beach I found out the real reason for the cancellation. A three day Indian wedding and a conference. I was furious that the owners had put money making weddings and conferences before their guests. All the guests due to stay that week had been cancelled. There’s actually no reception desk at the hotel, just an area of chairs and a cubby hole where the receptionist was typing. We were shown to our room and it was filthy. There were fingerprints and dust all over the sliding doors onto the balcony and tv, the glass panels of the balcony which were five feet high frosted glass so there was no view. There were bird droppings on the balcony chairs, table and floor, Sand in the bedroom drawers, brown stains on the cushion of the bedroom chair, a broken glass panels. the base valance of the bed was dirty. The worse thing was that one of the balcony glass panels had come away from its metal bracket which had rusted so was a disaster waiting to happen. If it had fallen onto someone on the path below they would have been killed.i went back to the reception area and our Rep was there. She demanded an immediate deep clean. Thankfully we were then allocated a much better room. The hotel is actually a health and safety nightmare. The first night we descended the concrete steps leading down from our room. The lighting was poor and neither of us saw the bottom step so we both stumbled. I reported it but nothing was done. The path leading to the hotel’s Blue Iris restaurant and the beach beyond was very uneven and lit by uplighters meaning the path was almost in darkness. There were some positives though. The grounds are lovely with so much greenery and flowering bushes. The pool is large but some tiles are missing and had been left on the bottom of the pool.Every morning we had to wait ages for pool/beach towels. Some of the sunbeds are broken. We heard that the hotel has recently lost one of its star ratings and also that it’s being taken over by the Marriott chain so it seems that the hotel is being run down. Breakfast was mostly buffet style with eggs made to order and quite a good choice of western and Indian dishes. I have to thank Sanjana Pednekar, the hotel’s guest relations manager. She was very apologetic about our cancellation. She tried to persuade the owners to let us stay but they refused although agreed to allow us to have a complementary meal at Blue Iris. Despite our problems with Azaya Beach we did have a good time, mainly because we spent our days on the beach and ate out of the hotel.

Great rooms , the showers are fantastic, the beds are comfortable and very big. It was a very relaxing holiday and the staff were great. Mustafa looked after our room and Craig at breakfast was brilliant they couldn't do enough for you. The hotel manager Sanjana always looked out for us making sure we were well looked after.

One of the best Beach property in Goa. We had a memorable experience staying at Azaya Beach Resort, the staff was very courteous. It is located right on the beach with private access to the Beach. I would definitely recommend this resort if you really want to spend some time peacefully.

Beach excesses

For the price we payed the hotel was not good. We spent 400$ a night where the TV didn’t work, the food was very bad, and the fan made lot of noise, and the cupboard was broken. Wouldn’t pay more than 200$ a night for this hotel.

Had a great stay! Hotel staff is great, nice pool, plenty of areas to lounge around, love the beach access and food options at the beach shacks. Room was large and really nice. Few kinks with some stuff in the room - hot water taking a while to flow out of the shower, room phone making sounds and disturbing sleep.

Beautiful location & very friendly / helpful staff. It was hard to get towels at the pool

Staff were great, room conditions are not great. Crumbling ceilings, water leaks, dirty carpet , peeling wall paints etc. Definitely not 5 star as listed per Expedia.
