Soggiorno nel complesso accettabile per una notte. The Elbow Room fa il suo dovere come tappa di passaggio, senza particolari acuti ma anche senza grossi problemi. Il personale è stato la nota migliore: cordiale, disponibile e cortese, questo va detto. Anche il ristorante interno è un punto a favore, con una cucina semplice e onesta tipo pub grub, porzioni abbondanti e prezzi ragionevoli — comodo poter cenare senza doversi spostare. La camera era pulita e sufficientemente confortevole per una notte, con i comfort essenziali. Nulla di speciale a livello di stile o dotazioni, ma corretta per la categoria e il prezzo. Un appunto: si sente un po' di rumore dall'esterno, quindi chi ha il sonno leggero potrebbe risentirne. La posizione è un po' fuori dal centro di Kirkcaldy, il che può essere scomodo se si vuole girare a piedi, anche se resta comoda in auto e come base di passaggio. Buono il rapporto qualità-prezzo, senza infamia e senza lode. In sintesi: una sistemazione dignitosa e funzionale per una sosta breve, apprezzabile soprattutto per personale e ristorante, ma senza quel qualcosa in più che la renderebbe memorabile. Va bene per una notte, senza aspettarsi troppo.

Veniamo però ai punti dolenti. La pulizia della camera lasciava un po' a desiderare, non all'altezza di quanto ci si aspetta. Soprattutto, gli asciugamani in bagno erano sporchi: un dettaglio che per noi fa una grande differenza e che ci ha dato una sensazione di scarsa cura. Un aspetto su cui la struttura dovrebbe assolutamente migliorare.

Didn't have breakfast as we were going to a funeral but would not have had it there as I personally thought it was very expensive if you have a room you shouldn't have to pay that much that made B&B £113 which is extortionate for that place the owner was not a very pleasant person it seemed as if everything was too much trouble would never recommend this place she was in it for the money just my opinion.

The whole place was awful if I'd have booked 2 nights i wouldn't have stayed I'd havd moved on.

We arrived and location was closed and nobody answered the door or phone. All the lights were off.

No clear communication and no phone answer or message. An arrival note could have been sent with a reminder of the check/in time.

Everything about the Elbow Room was great. We stayed for 3 nights and had great nights sleep in comfortable beds. The showers are the best we've experience in a B&B. Having a fridge in the room was great to keep all our road trip snacks. The breakfasts were wonderful and great that you could personalise the cooked breakfasts (especially as a fussy no tomato/egg/beans person!!) We weren't disturbed by noise from the pub at all . Having an actual car park made me feel reassured to leave my car there and it be safe overnight.

The room wasn't clean ...shower was poor and mouldy ...kettle was needing descale....under the bed was very dusty ....traffic noise was terrible up until midnight then started again at 5 am ...we had a very poor sleep ....wouldn't recommend this place at all

Small double room but no chair for an old lady to sit on. Perhaps a single bed with a chair would be better. Mattress was very lumpy. Shower was very hard to turn on.

Bring earplugs if you have a roadside room as it is very noisy from about 6 am onwards. Probably best to ask for a room away from the road.

Kept awake all night by the constant traffic noise and an extremely squeaky bed. Aware they can't do anything about the traffic but windows appeared to provide no muffling of sound. Perhaps window upgrades needed, So if the room is somewhere cheap to get a sleep I'm afraid it's failed its primary function.

I paid £87 for an overnight stay with breakfast, but i was charged extra for breakfast the next morning, also food, tea was charged separately, but no toast, so the his was very disappointing

Chambre minuscule pour 2 personnes, pas de place pour les valises. Très mauvaise insonorisation sur l'extérieur (boulevard très passant de jour comme de nuit) et avec la chambre voisine. Le petit-déjeuner n'est pas servi avant 9h.

Everything was excellent, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We ate three times during our stay including breakfast, all of our meals were delicious (especially the omelette). Would definitely look to stay again in the future.

Location. Friendly staff and good humoured regulars.

On this occasion I was in a front facing room and I was awakened up early with traffic noise.

Room was small but clean. We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent with the menu providing a wide range of options. Hotel also offers smaller portions for pensioners. Bar was good with wide range of sports being shown.

Nothing really as hotel met our expectations.

Riktigt bra överraskning! Rummet var över förväntan, litet med otroligt väl planerat. Mycket sköna sängar och sängkläder. Stort och fräscht badrum och härliga handdukar. Det fanns ett litet hopfällbart bord som man kunde använda om man ville äta på rummet. Utanför rummet fanns det mikrovågsugn, tallrikar, bestick m.m. Jättebra om man har barn och inte kan/vill äta ute på restaurang. Vattenflaskor i kylen, te och kaffe. Trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Matbutiker i närheten. Vi skulle till flygplatsen tidigt nästa morgon och hann därför inte äta frukost. På restaurangen erbjöds det annars olika typer av frukostar. Det var inte inkluderat i rums priset. Stor parkering bakom hotellet som var kameraövervakad. Lätt att ta sig ut och till flygplatsen.

Dåligt med ventilation, blev varmt på natten. Låg precis bredvid en mycket trafikerad väg, så vi kunde inte ha fönstret öppet. Ta med öronproppar! Inget speciellt trevligt läge om man ville besöka andra restauranger osv.

Breakfast was extra but very good value and also the meals were good pub grub. Helpful staff , they ordered a taxi for us when requested . Little fridge in the room with 2 bottles of water and tea coffee and biscuits . There were microwaves and cutlery available for guests for warming takeaways ? And a mini library of books

The staff were friendly and accommodating to an early check in which we were extremely grateful for and they allowed our dog to stay which was the main reason.

The room was freezing cold, ypu couldn't stay in the shower for longer than a few minutes or it flooded. The bed was so uncofortabke. The guests doors from other rooms were extremely loud every time they entered or left. Im sure due to no fault of their own. Just simple things that would have made our stay more comfortable.

Nice big room X2 bottles of water, tea and coffee in the room. Claw feet bath Allowed pets and rang me when they were barking.

Got there at 1.30 said room ready but couldn’t check in until 2 - after travelling for 6 hours, this was petty. Towels in bathroom too thin and small. Rooms above pub so expect pub associated noise and disturbed sleep in the night, if you’re a light sleeper. Breakfast is extra. So thought overall it was bit expensive. Nothing worse than trying to eat your breakfast listening to a hoover.

It looks lovely but the place was already booked by the time we booked it and got there.

Nothing just the system needs to be more in sync as we were homeless booking some place to stay for the night(s) required to work on things.

The staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was big and the food was amazing.

The bedding smelled a bit like damp and fusty. The mattress was a bit too soft. The hot water is controlled so the bath was not very hot. Unfortunately the room is facing the main street so its rather loud. The room was a bit hot but couldn't open the window due to the loud traffic.
