Location.
Expensive, considering it's looking a bit tired now.
Very amenable staff, surprisingly good fayre, in an ideal location for exploring.
The lift was a bit clunky ... But operable.
Room was excellent
food was poor
Location and friendly staff.
Cracked sink in room
Location, room was comfortable and clean

Good location to other places around snowdon

Old, not clean, hot
Average breakfast. Great location
Very dirty and poorly maintained
really central pleasant helpful staff
cleanliness at breakfast was a little off putting , chipped mugs , mugs with drips on , table cloths with big stains on and tables not cleared from previous diners in dining area although it was empty
Great breakfast, location, clean comfortable beds. Masala lamb chops and helpful staff
Like many old hotels one could find small faults in the building fabric and in how staff looked after the garden/flower beds
Expensive, poor quality and quantity. Plates were cold, juice was warm.
Bigger brekfast for cost.
Great location for exploring the stunning local area. Rooms was clean and comfortable. Good comfortable mattress and bedding. Tea/coffee in room was replenished daily. Loved the vintage lift! Good outdoor seating area at front of hotel.
Food was mediocre. My Egg Royale arrived without the muffin being toasted. This was remedied but not before my egg had gone cold! The dinner menu was ok but two of the main courses were not available. The fish cake starter and coleslaw were tasteless. Sometimes it is the little things that show the care and attention to detail which make a difference and leave an impression. Having packets of salt rather than salt in a salt cellar to match the pepper was an easy fix but it made the experience feel more like a fast food outlet rather than a 3 ⭐️ hotel. The fake flowers on the table and throughout the dining area likewise. The other restaurants in the village were overflowing and turning away customers but the Royal Goat’s dining room was the antithesis of this. Leaving cleaning equipment and duster on bar area whilst food was being served just felt sloppy. Hospitality and food lacklustre leaving us, as guests, not feeling central to the hotel experience.
Great customer service. Great food. Great location.
Location was good
Lift was very dated place was very dated decoration was poor quality very basic
Lovely building in a nice location
It feels stuck in the 1970’s or 1980’s
Room sizes were great Good location Helpful staff
The outside area was not well kept Weeds everywhere . You have a prime location but your eyes are drawn towards the weed. Easily fixable :-)
Brilliant stay, friendly staff, comfortable and clean room. Amazing location

Free parking , amazing location , kind staff. Efficient breakfast amazing value for ten pounds
Sausage at breakfast
Beddgelert
hotel a little careworn, tired, and staff helpful but at the same time shambolic......not quite what you might expect from a grand hotel in a grand location with grand prices.
The breakfast was delicious with p!entry of choice. I had eggs royale on the first morning and a full Welsh breakfast on the second morning. They were both very generous and delicious. I also had a very generous lamb shank on Friday evening. The location is excellent in the small and beautiful village of Beddgelert in the Snowdonia National Park which I was able to access,it easily by public transport. i
A very good breakfast for £10. Staff were friendly, there was a good menu and a nice bar. Short walk into the village. A few yards to the bus stop if you didn't want to take the car. Free parking. Less than 10 minutes drive to a high speed EV charger point.
Nothing really. The hotel wasn't as modern as some, but the price reflected that and the facilities were good.
Location
Room comfort. It was very small and lack of electrical outlets.
Simple clean location
Needed a bit of updating
Food fantastic. We had dinner and breakfast.
Pillows hard. Blackout blinds needed at windows.
We had a very relaxing stay just what was needed
I couldn't complain it was great
Location good. Breakfast good
Needed a lot of updating. Staff not always present and at times the place felt deserted
The hotel was very conveniently located for a short walk into town and it had free parking. The staff (although limited in numbers) were very nice and helpful. The hotel restaurant has a nice selection of different meals.
Our room was a little noisy due to the neighbors, not the guests. Given it’s summer the room was very light - it would be nice to have heavier curtains or blinds on the windows to block out the morning light.
Accesibility to the village good. Parking good. Ability to come and go was good.
Liked everything really maybe more diligence needed when customers order evening meals. The music in public places less intrusive as some folk are hard of hearing and music blaring doesnt provide a pleasent visit. Shower or bath mat would also be useful or a hand rail to avoid accidents.
We had a lovely stay at this hotel. Exceptionally clean, comfortable and in a lovely Welsh town just a short bus ride away from Snowdon. The staff were all very friendly. Highly recommend.
Warm friendly welcome great bar good choice of beers and a good choice of food in the restaurant
Bed was comfy but room was a little dated
Spacious room and definitely a relaxed atmosphere about the place with efficient staff who seemed to be ever present. The lady managing the place while we were there appeared to be running a 'tight ship' and was very visible, which is a good thing to see now.
The place is definitely 'tired', it's an old building and I know from personal experience these places require constant upkeep and an endless supply of money as well as energy to do it on top of the day-to-day running of the business. Somebody once said you can judge a hotel on its breakfast by the quality of the sausages. The food in the whole place was okay-ish but the breakfast sausages were definitely below par. Investment in this area might have seen as have breakfast there on the second day to. As it happened, that was money lost for the hotel.
The breakfast was good.
The toilet seat was broken, the shower head wouldn’t stay up, there were other issues caused by shoddy maintenance.
The location was great, food was great
To walk into a room with bugs all over the bed and having to be changed room twice not ideal lm glad they did move us eventually after 1st being told no rooms were available and they could only change the sheets and we had to sleep in the room unbelievable really we were planning on sleeping in the car 1st night we slept in a separate room from my son not ideal. Due to the messing around the 1st night it made climbing snowdon more difficult in the heat as we had to leave later with little sleep and as you can imagine it made the trip less enjoyable I think this hotel unfortunately is abit run down and needs alot of work
Exceptionally helpful staff (not forgetting a lovely dog - Luna) and great location! Hottest weekend of year and staff attentive offering fans etc. Smash burger - amazing.
Nothing.
The location was excellent, the staff were kind and eager to help. The room was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The food was very tasty and promptly served. There was a nice ambience in the dining/bar area.
The staff were all very nice and friendly. The beds were comfortable. The food in the restaurant was really good. The location was great, we stayed as we climbed Snowdon for charity so it was a nice drive to and from there.
The bathroom door didn't close properly and didn't have a lock on it and was really tricky to open and the bathroom wasn't clean. The restaurant wasn't clean there were cobwebs in the windows where we sat and the windows were very dirty.
Stayed in Bedgelert many times and mainly in cottage hires. Hotel was great. Basic rooms. But not more than we required for a base in the Welsh mountains. Bed was really comfortable - slept like a baby!
Could do with an update, but considering current climate they have to operate on tight margins so understandable
Lovely location.

Condition of building
Good location & beautiful exterior to the building. Some charming original features in the lobby reflecting it's heritage, like an old post box.
Terrible amateur attempt at renovating it's interior made our bedroom feel cheap and charmless. Walls painted an uneven white & over the edges of skirting and light switches. Cheap carpet. One power outlet did not work. Cheap linoleum and fittings in the bathroom. Shower head held up with a cable tie, which was both ugly & meant the height could not be adjusted. The wardrobe had no back and would lean as a result. The interiors of the hotel are not befitting it's history or potential. It's a shame, but it's neither functional nor characterful. We were very disappointed. We cannot comment on the restaurant downstairs. It looked similarly without charm & as only one table was occupied, it was without atmosphere. We walked down the street into town to a busier place. Not worth the price.
Excellent stay , nothing to much trouble, staff very friendly nice that had a restaurant on site, slept so well, location Excellent
Convenient location. Room was clean and warm. Good supply of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits in the room.
There wasn't any room to park when we arrived. A staff member moved their car in order for us to park. It's an old building, the floors are very squeaky and rooms not very soundproof. If you're a light sleeper then this could be a problem.
It was quiet the breakfast was good
The bedrooms could do with a update
Close to everything and very convenient for our walk up snowdon( watkins path) 2min drive away
All good
Very poor the only time we seen anyone was when we checked in,Very poor reception won't be staying there again.
Fumes from central heating boiler entering our bedroom at the rear of hotel .
Good food, excellent staff
No food available Monday, not good for an hotel, plus didn't meet the advertised opening times at lunchtime
breakfast dinner
Fantastic location for Beddgelert.
Hotel appears very tired , in need of some tlc. Very small room , unable to keep window open and room very hot, luckily a fan had been supplied and was needed all night. No extractor fan in bathroom , so very steamed up !
Set in a beautiful location. Full of history.
It's a bit tired looking. Looking down from the stair case, a door is permanently propped open where you can see a room that is full of old chest freezers etc. Ruins the esthetic and feeling of grandeur. Table tops were very sticky in dining area, which really effected the experience. Room was clean, but sockets not working and two of the beds very soft and feel old. Extraction fan not working in bathroom so very misty when showing and signs of damp damage ( mold on ceiling). Overall, just not worth the amount of money it cost.
Perfect location in the beautiful Beddgelert. Staff were friendly and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was generous with a variety of cooked items on offer. We also had dinner there a couple of times during the week. Very happy with everything.
The hotel is a little tired. But the location the price and the staff were great and the bed was comfy. Perfect for a one night stay to walk through Snowdon
Good Location, polite staff, good breakfast.
Only negative thing was the hotel was cold.. Room was alright
Such a cute hotel and the staff go above and beyond
Breakfast poor ok on first day but second day no bacon, mushrooms, butter, pastries unavailable Room was big and clean but sink impossible to use as too small and had a shelf above it making it very difficult to get your head over the sink Dinner not available
As above plus never anyone on reception if you had a problem and check out impossible so just left room key on desk.
Our stay was perfect, the staff are amazing & so helpful. The hotel is comfortable & has everything needed. The. Village is stunning & picture perfect. We can’t wait to return.
Stayed over xmas and the bar/ dining area were really nicely decorated. Staff very friendly and food excellent.
Ghe room was very, very, cold...not enough bedding and only two small electic heaters that werd very poor. I was so cold I could not sleep and ended up sleeping in my car in the car park with my heater on !
There was no heating in the room and I was freezing cold. The very nice guy at breakfast explained there was works going on and so I had to have the room with no heating. I later spoke to a local taxi driver who used to run the hotel and he said the whole heating system and the boiler is old, broken and useless.....................!
No heating!
It was convenient
Would have liked the staff to be more visible and on hand
Good value - nice rooms
Decor is a tired and bit shabby
Location
It was run down
Great location great staff great history great food
Quite expensive for a somewhat normal room
Our room and bathroom were clean and tidy. Bed was very comfortable. Dinner and Breakfast were also ok
general decor was dated and lounge dining area not very welcoming. Radiator in room was not on and it was a bit chilly. We had the towel rail on in the bathroom
Disappointing for £103 per night. The rooms were different from the photos and there was a strong smell of cigarette smoke throughout floors two and three. The switch over tap for the bath wouldn’t work so only able to shower. Ironing board was missing a cover just bare metal. The hotel looks like it could do with updating.
Lovely clean spacious bedroom, comfortable large king size bed.
Breakfasts need working on.
