Tam Coc Valley Bungalow

Clean room with large and comfortable bed, friendly staff, great location. Great view.

Location was nice , 10 minute walk from main town which meant it was quiet apart from the animal noises such as frogs in the rice fields

They didn’t have space for us to extend another night

It was very quiet when we came as the weather wasn’t great and it was a weekday. Super beautiful location. Great that they give bicycles to all guests. Nice breakfast - loved the baguette! Nice big rooms! Nice chill place especially by the pool on a nice day. Cute little animals on the property.

It was quite cold when I came and there was no heating. The bedding was very thin. Bathroom was just okay, shower temp was hard to handle.

The place is just amazing 👏 In the middle of nature, was perfect. Ninh binh was my favourite city in Vietnam, next time i would stay longer . If you are a nature lover , go for this place .

The staff were so sweet and made us breakfast every morning! They also give you free bikes to take into town!

I had an amazing stay at this Airbnb hostel! From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming and friendly. The hosts were incredibly accommodating, providing great recommendations and making sure I felt at home. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with a cozy vibe that made it easy to relax after a day of exploring.

low pressure shower in one of the rooms a bit far if you have to walk with luggage

Hyggeligt familiedrevet hotel. Meget søde og rare mennesker. Altid opmærksomme på os.

All of it! Great hosts, pool, mountains, dog, kittens, free bicycles, good breakfast, good wifi, pool table, and comfy beds!

The location is fantastic, ouside the village but 5 min walking. It's really nice to have the swimming poll to relax after all the walking and the heat.

Breakfast could be better and one of the days a family had a party with karaoke. It was not a problem for us cause our room was not close to the swimming poll (where the karaoke took place), but I wouldn't have liked to be in one of the rooms by the swimming poll.

Staff very kind and friendly

Family of 4. Stunning setting. We could even hear monkeys! Lovely family running the accommodation- Be mindful that they speak very little English so use Google translate from the beginning. I would describe the accommodation as comfortable and rustic. Pool was lots of fun, with the addition of a barred off area for toddlers or adults to lie in. Amazing view from pool- loungers to lie on. Breakfast was simple and tasty (usual pancake/eggs/fruit/drink). Free bikes and generally safe road through the valley and rice fields for children. Thank-you for you hospitality!

Lovely place, helpful staff.

The wifi didn’t work much in our room.

Great location, attentive staff, beautifully done grounds amongst the spectacular cliffs with pretty lights at night. Peaceful except for the sound of the odd cock crowing. We had a lovely holiday there, cycling to Trang An and Hua Lu and walking to Tam Cốc for dinners.

Breakfast & rental bikes for free.

We booked an early check-in for additional fees as we arrived by sleeper bus. We followed the instructions and arrived in a room that was not cleaned and clearly just left by other guests - this is an absolute no-go. Then they showed us into another room. After check -in, we discovered spiderwebs everywhere, cockroaches in the bathroom, water dripping from the ceiling, and the water boiler was not working. The latter was promptly repaired the next day when we asked for it, however, we were shocked that these things happen in a facility with that price and these good reviews. (For us, it was the worst accomodation on our entire trip, and yet the most expensive one for our budget). Staff is friendly but does not speak any English. Communication was hard and until the end we still did not know who actually was staff and who was responsible for what. Cleaning does not happen unless you leave your door unlocked or out at least the bins outside the rooms. Also, prepare to regularly take out insects, spiders and frogs of your room, as there are plenty of holes that they can crawl into. All in all would NOT recommend and would rather book one of the other plenty hotel options around.

Location - quitely nestled between the limestone karsts yet just 900 meters away from the Tam Coc Hi street that has all restaurants, spa, shops. They offer bicycles for free. Caretaker - The caretaker lady went out of her way and helped us make baby food twice everyday in the kitchen for our one year old baby. She even provided baby utensils from her own home.

They don't understand English at all. So you will have to be patient and use a translator

Absolutely perfect and beautiful location. Bungalows are surrounded by hills, so place is very nice and quiet. Walking distance to Tam Coc and restaurants. Free bikes available. Owner are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is simple but tasty.

Breakfast not much choice

Communication was poor

This place was amazing 🤩 we just loved it 😍 location, accomodation, family who ran the place were so lovely and welcoming. We will definitely stay there again.

Nothing

Fantastic locations. Great family running business. Very friendly and helpful. Recommended

The personnel was really kind and friendly, they made all to make us feel well. The resort is placed in a stunning Valley among mountains and rainforest. Spectacular.

Perfect place if u want peace and quiet. Beautiful views. Free bicycles to use. big, nice pool. 10 min walk to restaurants, buses, etc. highly recommended. Loved it.

Very kind staff.

Fit out in the room and bathroom was really old and in bad shape.

Good location, free bikes, friendly staff, free breakfast, free daily water

Pool was dirty for majority of our stay, overall cleanliness could definitely be improved, the first night of our stay there was a party going on so it was extremely loud and we felt really rude and intrusive asking them to turn the music down but we booked this place for a quiet get away, to their credit pretty soon after we spoke to them it was turned down

Just the perfect place to relax. Located in the best place possible, apart of all noice and busy Tam Coc Staff is polite, friendly and helpful ( No much English but with google translator e’thing is possible) It was my birthday and they organised a surprise b’day cake !!!! They were so excited!! THANKS VERY MUCH FOR EVERYTHING!!! We booked for 2 nights and stayed 4

Nothing to say

The pool was great, and the family was so nice! Room a bit dark - but the bed are huge and super comfortable! Also very yummy breakfast

The room was a bit dark

Our the best place to stay in Vietnam! Amazing place with amazing owners. They invited us for a local home party, they helped us to go to the bus while road were closed. They were giving to us fruits from garden. You can go everywhere on bicycle.

Perfect location, it feels very remote and it's very quiet but you walk to all the restaurants and the town centre within 10 minutes. You could also use free bicycles, then it's just a few minutes away. For us the best thing was that it really feels like you're in the nature, such a beautiful area!

comfortable rooms and beds, great location, lovely family who own and run the bungalows. I couldn’t recommend a better place to stay. we extended our stay.

Superb and quiet location of bungalows but still an easy 5min bicycle ride to Tam Coc with all the restaurants and activities. Jade is a great host, speaks perfectly English and is very helpful with organizing taxis and transfers. We occupied a family bungalow which was not located right beside the pool but at the entrance of the resort. The room is simple but offers everything needed for a comfortable stay. AC was working fine, pool was maintained well and great for swimming. Surprisingly few moskitos in the main room of the bungalow, despite the construction based on bambus/wood does not seem to be fully tight.

Moskitos in the bathromm due to window / hole in the wall for ventilation without moskito net. Bathroom itself is a bit rundown, however fully functional.

Quiet place weithin beautiful landscape; swimming pool; bikes for free; map of the surrounding area and information

Laundry mixed with other peoples laundry ; I would not recommend the massage that you can book to come to your Bungalow - the lady only used one hand and played around in her phone for the whole time

Amazing location in between the mountains in Tam Coc. Help with arranging transport. Free bikes, necessary for exploring the region and getting to and from the accommodation from town.

Unfortunately it was not the peaceful stay in the countryside we hoped for. Besides the animal sounds, which were to be expected, on our first night there was a huge party in the bar outside our bungalow that kept us awake with shouting and screaming until late in the night. On the other days, a group of staff/family stayed up playing pool, eating and drinking and more shouting late in the evening. Not only did this show little regard for other guests, but also made us feel unwelcome to use the bar/pool area ourselves. A bit like we were intruding in their home. The host who speaks English was only there in the morning, if you needed help or information after that, it was impossible to communicate with anyone else.

The staff were very friendly and helped everywhere they could. They even bought us Bahn mi for breakfast when had to check out early on our last day. Beautiful location tucked right into the mountain side. It was the perfect unwind after Hanoi. The free bikes were perfect for exploring Tam Coc. Our kids loved the pool and billiard table. The bed was the biggest bed we’ve ever slept in :)

Nothing

The perfect location. 5 minute bike ride into Tam Coc for tons of restaurant options, but hidden away in the mountains with a gorgeous view. Nice pool. Beds were comfortable, really hot showers. They booked our buses for us to Hanoi and Cat Ba. I looked at so many places to stay in Ninh Binh area and I feel like we chose the best one.

The food is not that good.

The best thing about this hotel are the location, and especially Jade, the wonderful lady at the reception. She speaks amazing English and had plenty of good tips and rented us a great motorbike for 2 days at a very cheap price and also lets the guests use all bicycles for free. The hotel is located a 10-min walk or 5min bike-ride from town and is in the middle of the limestone moutains, rice fields and jungle, it is so beautiful! The bed was big and there was plenty of hot water, which was nice, but otherwise the room has nothing special so go elsewhere if you're looking for fancy.

The room in itself is not very cozy and nothing special, with worn-out bathroom, really bright white light, no siddetables etc., but it is still good value for money as it is located in a beautiful area and is cheap, so we recommend it!

Our second time staying here and we loved it both times. Staff are very friendly a d helpful. Great location tucked in between the Tam Coc mountains. Very peaceful.

The cloudy night sky so we couldn't see the night sky. But you cant control the weather.

Lovely staff, great scenery, use of free bikes. Close to town but feels very peaceful. I would stay again.

Can be loud at night due to nearby wildlife. Basic rooms.

beautiful place. nice and cheap hotel. very helpful family staff

The Tam Coc Valley Bungalows are a wonderful place to stay while visiting Tam Coc and Ninh Binh. The surroundings of the property are absolutely beautiful and the bungalows themselves are very clean and have everything you need. The owners are extremely friendly and tried to help us wherever possible. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Nothing - everything was perfect.

Definitely it was amazing experience stay in this property. Staff so helpful. Without doubt I recommend this place if you want visit this zone of Vietnam. Thankful for the treatment received

Nothing

The hosts were super accommodating when two of us got sick. They went above and beyond to make sure that we were well looked after.

Everything! The staff was adorable, with really good breakfast and lively attentions, we felt very welcome and the bungalows were super comfortable! It's also super close to everything (with a scooter) and the location feels secluded and out of a dream!

Nothing!

location

Lovely staff and AMAZING LOCATION. Free bike rental makes it easy to reach Tam Coc's center. Reading other reviews, it seems that they have improved with the pool. It was perfectly clean and has a stunning view over the hills.

Localisation parfaite, Accueil parfait.

The location is lovely! It is very peacefull and beautiful location. The staff was really helpful! Great stay and we would totally recommend anyone staying in the tam coc valley!

Set in an amazing location it was a great and quiet surprise. Disappointed the pool wasn’t full and able to be used as the kids were looking forward to it. We also searched for 2A2C and were given a triple room - so check your options. Beautiful scenery, friendly staff and pristine location.

Tam Coc Valley Bungalow is very good for your family vacation in Ninh Binh. Great! Khương

Położenie i basen to największy atut obiektu, wśród gór, coś niesamowitego.

Great little place, clean, polite staff, wonderful location in a small valley close to all of the major sites, decent (not great food)

What a beautiful location. Set back against the hills. Falling asleep to the sounds of frogs and crickets was so peaceful. The service was great, the people were very friendly and helpful and the pool was immaculate!

Unique location! The best in Tam Coc, between the rocks.

Outstanding location, was nicely set away from the scrubby backpackers in town. Worth making arrangements for dinner at.

The hotel was a bit hard to find as there is many bungalows that include the name Tam Coc and bungalow. When I arrived to the hotel I was amazed with the views! It really is a beautiful area. The bungalow itself is very spacious, however the locks on my door did not work and the door would get stuck. The breakfast is a 8 out 10 but it is not always available at the serving time. So if they 7.. it means 7ish... The front desk has a lady who speaks great English and is very helpful. They also have a volunteer who speaks English. Now my problem with my stay. The first day I asked the volunteer(who I thought was an employee at the time) that I wanted to book a tour. He said he would book it for me and would be available tomorrow for the tour. The next day he had an issue with his cellphone and tour was not done. The next day was raining all day so I booked an extra night. However things started getting creepy when volunteer was insisting on spending his day off with me, I felt uncomfortable and stayed in my room until it was time to leave. Overall if you are a solo traveler I do not recommend this hotel. If you are with a group, want nice views, and don't mind doors that may or may not lock then by all means its is a nice hotel with potential.

Lovely people (with a smile) whom were very helpful and friendly. Charming bungalow and beautiful location. Definitely something to recommend.

Nice time with friends!
