Pippali Boutique Hotel

The staff were delightful and very friendly and helpful. Convenient location. Relaxed atmosphere and the garden is lovely. The Air conditionong worked well. Breakfast and bar service was excellent. Not having meals at night did not bother me.

The ceiling fan was a bit noisy.

We had a lovely stay at Pippali. Staff were very helpful and attentive. Breakfast was delicious. The pool was amazing and helped cool us off from the heat and the location was great!!

Only thing we didn't enjoy was the loud music playing at night. It was Khmer New Year though, so it was to be expected.

Air conditioning kept shutting off

Breakfast was limited. Not sure about the cleanliness of the mattress. Shower drain was blocked creating flood. Repair lady was not too experienced taking care of the situation.

Better mattress covers needed. Too many stairs to climb up to room

Gårdhaven var hyggeligt område. Personalet søde, hjælpsomme og imødekommende. Vi bestilte en clubsandwich bedst som køkkenet skulle hjem og de lavede den alligevel. Morgenmad pæn og med to asiatiske muligheder.

Stedet er nedslidt, safe deposit boks virkede ikke. Vi havde to værelser og det ene havde to natklubber i baghaven. Der var musik døgnet rundt. Og ikke mindst lå hotellet midt i sex industri område. Området er pakket med gamle, hvide mænd og meget unge lokaler piger, steder som 'ring my Bell'. Vi var meget chokeret og det gav en ubehagelig stemning til hele vores ophold. Det synes jeg ikke jeg kunne læse af tidligere anmeldelser, så her er den advarsel.

Perfecte locatie! Op wandelafstand vh gezellige centrum van Kampot en aan de dijk van de rivier, die s’avonds tot leven komt met allerlei ‘streetfood’-stalletjes. Complimenten aan de chef-kok vh restaurant. Ik heb superlekker gegeten!

Vlak naast het hotel is een bar/restaurant. Met live-muziek elke avond. Er is is veel lawaai/muziek. Maar eindigt tegen middernacht. Als je een lichte slaper bent of graag slaap vóór 12u dan kom je hier best niet 😬

La gentillesse du personnel qui a cherché à trouver des solutions au bruit nocturne près de l'hôtel.

La vetusté de l'établissement, tout est à l'abandon, peu d'entretien, propreté douteuse, odeurs d'humide partout. Les restaurant tout près qui ont mis la musique jusqu'à tard. On ne s'est pas senti bien et avons quitté l'établissement apres la 1ère nuit (on avait réservé 3 nuits)...dommage car l'endroit pourrait etre joli avec un peu travaux de renovation.

Nous avons apprécié son emplacement par rapport à Kampot. Les chambres sont spacieuses, cependant la chambre de nos amis dégageait une odeur nauséabonde. Ils ont dû changer de chambre que le lendemain.

Nous avons connu le Pippali à ses débuts , il y a quelques années, où régnait le calme. Maintenant, avec la boîte de nuit à proximité, c’est devenu insupportable. Dommage.

Tutto perfetto, staff davvero gentilissimo, camere spaziose e pulite, cucina ottima, tutto squisito per cui la sera dopo la piscina ci si fermava volentieri lì per cena. Posto tranquillo e in centro.

Loved everything.

As per my previous reviews of Pippali, I can't recommend this hotel highly enough. My only fear is I won't be able to get a room on my next trip as they may have no vacancy. 🥺

I love everything about this hotel. The staff are wonderful, the rooms large and clean, breakfast has good choices, the food in the restaurant is delicious, the pool is clean and wonderfully refreshingnd the location is excellent. I will be back again😀

I loved everything about this hotel. From the great hospitality of all the staff, to the clean rooms, great pool & very convenient location. Breakfast has good choices, and the food from the restaurant is delicious. This is my hotel of choice for future trips to Kampot!!

Loved everything.

The swimming pool and gardens were very tropical and clean. The breakfast was a set menu with guests able to select their options. The room overlooked the pool with a balcony and was a good size. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The room furnishings were a little tired and noisy from bar next door. But this noise was gone by about 10:00pm each night. The guest room door lock was a little dodgy.

Great location, very helpful staff and a lovely pool. Hotel and rooms were a little more tired than the photos suggest though.

Great location !! A quaint boutique hotel.. very tasteful.. beautiful gardens surrounding courtyard pool. Nice restaurant/bar.. great coffee and beautiful fresh fruits and juices daily. Even though these things on their own would merit a top review, it is the wonderful genuinely friendly and accommodating staff that make the Pipali such a great hotel..

Location (have stayed here before several times)

It has changed owner and management and is going downhill fast. Poor quality all-round. Poor maintenance, dreadful breakfast. Had to change rooms because toilet was leaking. As one group was leaving we arranged for luggage to be moved whilst we were out but they moved wrong luggage to wrong room. We had four rooms for 10 people (plus toddler) for two nights. Four rooms for two night equals 16 free breakfasts, so extra breakfasts should have been 4, but on check out they charged 10 extra breakfasts. By that stage I was too angry to argue. They had already tried to charge for a small mattress (no bed) for my 3-year-old.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Decent location with walking distance to main attractions and restaurants. Lush pool area and a comfy room with all necessities.

The restaurant next door is playing very loud music until quite late. Ear plugs provided and not the hotels fault but still quite disturbing. Lush pool area = lot of seeds, leaves and stuff in the water.

The place was nice enough a little busy on the main road as there was construction underway. Felt like the pictures on this site are not quite up to date slightly misrepresnted. Staff were very friendly. Only down fall was the rooms smelled a little musty. All in all not a bad spot

The TV is not a TV. Pay for service screen. Can’t even watch Khmer news. Very basic room. Only 1 chair on balcony. The wall art is terrible. Just could do a little better

The swimming pool and the food

They charged me 10 $ for a towel which they could not clean because of mu menstrual blood, this never happened to me before and is not correct, you can wash 10 kg laundry with 10 $ in Cambodia. I do not reccomand this hotel

Very friendly staff who went out of their way to be helpful. Easy walk along the river front to busy restaurant scene. Lovely pool area and good breakfast.

A few road works going on outside the hotel, but it didn't detract from our stay.

Lovely boutique hotel, wonderful breakfast & coffee, had dinner also which was delicious, room and general setting is very cool, staff are very helpful and friendly, also helped book tours & transfer to Phnom Penh.

Locations is next to a club with banging music on one side (earplugs are provided!) and next to a restaurant on the other which blasts out their music. Hard to have a tranquil time by the pool, but rooms are quite well insulated so noise doesn’t affect sleep too much.

We liked everything about Pippali. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful, we ate most of our meals there and enjoyed them. We had been warned that there could be noisy music from adjacent properties but we never had a problem and slept very well. It was lovely being so close to the river and having the promenade to walk along. And we enjoyed visiting the local attractions by tuk tuk.

Staff are all really helpful. Arranged moped and gave us free dinner because we left a day early even though the agreement is no refund.

Location is a bit noisy. There is a road between the hotel and the river and local restaurant with music playing.

Nice comfortable hotel, further away from the downtown hustle but still within walking distance to everything. The best wifi connectivity we experienced in Cambodia. Comfortable and clean rooms, restaurant and pool are nice extras. Very helpful staff, assisted in arranging tours, laundry, etc.

Like every where in Cambodia, there is a lot of streetwork going on. I think its almost finished. And the result is better roads, walkways etc.

Ceiling fan in the room blew hurricane force at low speed AC not totally functional. The staff tried to fix but I think it was a design issue. We couldn't run the fan. The room was very stuffy at night. As it was Chinese New year there was very loud music from a bar next door and we understand that is the case at the weekend. Breakfast was average. As in most places we have stayed in Cambodia the shower drain backs up.

Nice tree-shaded area for eating and swimming. Food was good and the area was quiet.

Exceptional service from delightful staff. Excellent breakfast and cooking in general. Location was great with a 10 minute walk to the town centre on the river promenade.

It’s a little noisy from outside

Located close to the river in a nice part of town it is a little escape from the hustle and bustle. Staff were incredible.

Excellent western breakfast. Location was a bit south of the main tourist stuff, but it was an easy walk along the lovely promenade, which is just across the street. This also meant that our room was quieter, although we could hear a bit of music when we went outside. Our room was on the upper floor with a big window overlooking the pool & breakfast area. Nothing gaudy or ostentatious. It met our needs very well & we'd recommend it to others.

The folks downstairs were having a bit of an argument which extended to about midnight. Not the fault of the hotel, & it wasn't loud enough to complain about, although I would have if it had continued much longer. We realized afterwards that the HUGE window overlooking the pool & the path to the breakfast area allows those below to see into our room more than we expected, so you'll want to cover that beautiful window at times. Since there's a balcony outside that window, bringing that window all the way to the floor is a bit of a waste. A 3' high wall at the bottom of that window would mean you wouldn't really need the curtains.

Very nice hotel. Rooms are big, nice and clean. Staff are super friendly. It's close to the river and not far from the centre. A lot of greens and fresh air. Great place to relax. They have a beautiful pool. Breakfast is delicious and they have a couple of options.

We stayed at Pippali for just over a week and it was truly amazing. The hotel is very well maintained with good sized very comfortable rooms. The swimming pool is an added luxury. The hotel is located just across the road from the main river and is walking distance from downtown Kampot.

It’s a cozy small boutique hotel. Not far from the town center. A nice walk along the river is all it takes to arrive. The breakfast was great. The pool is a nice place to relax. Rooms are comfortable, restaurant very inviting as well. The best of the stay is the staff! Kind, professional justa amazing team!
