Gia Vien Homestay

Gia Vien is a very well-kept homestay, decorated with a lot of taste. It is located in a very nice neighborhood with good restaurants closeby. The family room we stayed in for 3 nights was very clean and modern, with comfortable beds. Breakfasts were copious and delicious, particularly the Quang noodles, the omelette, and the fresh fruit and juices. Linh went above and beyond to make our stay in Hoi An smooth and memorable, arranging tickets and taxis, helping us organize an overnight stay on Cham Island and an excursion to Ba Na Hills, and the nicest gesture of all, getting my son a birthday cake on the morning of his 10th birthday and throwing him a surprise celebration. I can't thank her enough! We couldn't have dreamt of a better place to stay in!

Felt like home

Nothing to say

Comfortable and very clean, friendly and accommodating host.

Tolles, sehr sauberes Haus, liebevoll eingerichtet und gepflegt. Supernette Besitzer, sehr hilfsbereit.

Great staff that are so kind and that makes you feel right at home! Can't wait to stay here when I come back!

Good breakfast and very generous food served every morning during my stay, owner being very warm and friendly.

There’s a Karaoke place close by and it’s a little too loud for me because I’m not a night owl and like to go to bed early.

Really nice house, very friendly hosts and delicious breakfast! The area is quiet and it’s only a short ride to the beach and old town. There’s also multiple great restaurants and gyms in short walking distance. Just a great place overall :)

The owner really nice and helpful, breakfast, big room and family atmosphere.

We booked only one night to be closer to bus station. The homestay is super nice, staff is so friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious! It’s not in the center but the area is nice as well.

From the moment we arrived Lihn and her husband were so welcoming. Our room was clean, bright and spacious. A laundry service is offered which is a great price. The property is located in a lovely quiet suburb of the town and a short 15 minute walk into old town. Plenty of shops, restaurants and spas within walking distance. We recommend claypot for food and blue gift spa for a super massage, both situated very close to the property. Lihn was also helpful with organising a transfer to Da nang airport which was considerably cheaper than grab taxi which we really appreciated! Lihn even made us homemade banana pancakes one afternoon which were so tasty! If your looking for an affordable homely stay in Hoi an - don’t hesitate to book! Would 100% recommend.

This is the best place we stayed in Vietnam. Linh and her family make us feel so comfortable from the first day! The house is very clean and cozy, and we loved the breakfast as well. It was so tasty and it was prepared with the love of a mother! We really enjoyed staying with them !

We had a lovely stay here! The host family is very kind and welcoming. The room was cozy and clean. Wifi worked well. The breakfast was good and they have a variety of dishes - you choose what you want the night before. Location was great - walkable to the Old Town but located in a much quieter neighbourhood which we loved because Hoi An is quite touristy. They also arranged an airport transfer for us from Da Nang that was cheaper than Grab. We totally recommend this homestay!

We loved our stay in Gia Vien, it was the best accommodation and welcome we experienced in our entire time in Vietnam. The location is a little walk outside Hoi An centre but this means it is very peaceful and provides a nice break from the busy town centre. You are able to bike to the beach in 10minutes or so. The owners are incredibly kind, welcoming and helpful - they couldn’t do enough for us throughout our stay. The breakfasts are delicious, great options and very generous portions. Our room was spacious, extremely clean and comfortable with lovely decor. We also visited their tailor shop in town and had a wonderful experience. Finally, the owner helped to organise postal service directly from the accommodation for us as we wanted to send some items home - this was so helpful and saved us having to bring everything to the post office etc. Thank you to Gia Vien and the lovely couple that own it for such a wonderful stay 😊

The family who is running the homestay is soo friendly, they made everything possible to make our stay comfortable :) we also extended two more nights. The rooms are spacious. It is 5-10 minutes walk to the city which didn't bother us, plus it is not far to the rice fields.

One of the rooms was a bit mouldy, but we could change directly! :)

I had a great stay here ! The room is clean and spacious and the host family is extremely sweet and friendly and accommodating. Loved the breakfast they prepared every morning as well. No complaints really !

Nothing

Great boutique hotel. Awesome couple own and operate this wonderful place.

Spotlessly clean, everything worked and the hosts were tremendous.

There was nothing not to like

This was by far the best homestay of our entire month in Vietnam! We truly felt like we were staying with a Vietnamese family, while still experiencing the authenticity of the culture. The room was simple but spacious, with a lovely balcony and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Our host was incredibly thoughtful, giving us the space we needed while also being available for anything we required. She even let us check in early after arriving on a 6 am night bus, which was such a relief. When we mentioned we were celebrating a religious holiday, she made us feel so welcome, preparing a special and delicious breakfast just for us—such a meaningful and sweet gesture. Her husband also arranged very affordable bikes for us to explore the area. The location was ideal—only 15 minutes from the old town but far enough to offer a peaceful retreat away from the crowds. A highlight of our stay was visiting her tailor shop. I designed and had items made in just one day with Lin, and the price was fantastic. There are plenty of tailoring options in Vietnam, but I highly recommend going with Lin—she’s truly talented! We would absolutely love to stay here again!

nothing!

kindess of the lady and her husband. They were so helpful and kind. Rooms very good. Breakfast very good. Position: 10 min walking from old town, this is a good thing because the old town is busy at night so here is quiet and you can sleep quietly

Lihn was the most warming and welcoming host. Spending 4 nights there felt like I had joined the family. As a solo traveller, she was spot on with being helpful and offering advice but also giving me space to explore myself. She was quick to help with washing, hire scooters and offer quick lifts to the beach when I couldn’t get a grab taxi. Nothing was too much for her. I was keen to get items tailored and naturally she took me to her shop. After seeing the quality of the first order of linen dresses I designed on day 1, I decided to place more orders and ended up with a lot more than intended! A credit to the quality, attention to detail and care she and Đài have as I can be quite picky!!

Nothing. Outstanding value for money. Would highly recommend.

This place is run by the loveliest people. Linh noticed it was my birthday from my passport and surprised me at breakfast with a huge bunch of flowers! The rooms are really big and comfortable. Air con, balcony, super clean. Breakfast was really nice and a big portion. The location was good - roughly a 20 minute walk into the old town and a 40 minute walk the other way to the beach. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Nothing

Linh was brilliant. Knowledgeable about places to go and where to eat. She was very accommodating and even got up to help and see us off at 4:30am! The room was clean and had very good facilities.

We had a great time with Linh and her family! She makes a super delicious breakfast and looks after her guests very lovingly. Bike rental, excursion tips, etc. - no problem at all! We felt so comfortable that we stayed two days longer. Many thanks for the wonderful time! ☺️

We absolutely loved our stay here. Linh and her husband were the kindest and friendliest hosts. The accommodation is beautifully designed and our room was super clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed all the breakfast options (Western and Vietnamese) and loved trying some local dishes which tasted great! The accommodation is well placed, and only a 15minute walk into the old town. We rented bicycles which was a great way to get around. We hope to stay here again in the future.

Everything was perfect!

From the moment I arrived, I was greeted warmly by the owner, who even treated me to a delightful pancake, setting the tone for a fantastic stay.

So very warm welcome! :-) Linh and her husband are so kind and friendly! I felt at home there! They help me with everything!!! Tourbooking, buy trainticket and a lot more. I wish all the best! Next time in Hoi An I will book these place again!!! Thank you!!!

An accommodation that is like a home. I have no words to describe how I felt. But what I can say for sure is that the harmony of the owners and their way of being can be seen and felt everywhere, from the plants and bonsai trees in the yard to the decoration of the house, there is so much atention for detailes! The lady even made me different color combinations of the fruits at the breakfast. It is a location that I have not met anywhere in Vietnam and i am coming in Vietnam for 4th time. Very, very clean, everything done in such a way that the tourist has all the comfort. It is an oasis of peace in the middle of a city. I extended my stay, I felt so good.

I couldn't find anything!

The location was right in Hoi An and the atmosphere was super cozy! Loved my stay here. The staff and the host were super welcoming.

Everything was superb. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful, going out of there way to help. The house was very clean and welcoming. I can't recommend it enough. A real 11 out of 10.

The best hospitality ever received. This stay was like no other. The hospitality is exceptional and makes you feel right at home. Lin and her partner were warm & welcoming from the moment you arrive they are always on hand to help. Tours, scooters, bicycles they can help you with all. The owner also has a small shop where can custom make clothing for a great price. The room was clean and comfortable and wouldn’t with no doubt be back again. We enjoyed our stay so much we are planning on coming to vietnam next year and will be coming back here for much longer.

Lovely place and lovely owners. It's quiet, clean and in good shape unlike a lot of places we have stayed. It's an easy and pleasant walk to the old town. Lin is a very helpful women and will get you a Scotter, bus , train tickest. She is full of information and always willing to help. I can only recommend all aspects for this Homestay.

Very clean and beautiful, shower was great, bed was comfortable, room was spacious. The hosts were lovely and welcoming, even though I arrived late. Would absolutely stay here again and recommend anyone to do so. Was very close to, shops, atm’s and the An An Phu bus stop to other destinations.

Some street noises during the night

Lovely, kind hosts who made me feel so welcome in their beautiful home. Super clean. I loved the location - an easy walk to the heart of the Old Town but not nearly as busy, with nice coffee shops and restaurants nearby.

Everything was .... unexpectedly well.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this Homestay in Hoi An, Vietnam and it was truly a perfect stay. From start to finish, everything exceeded my expectations. The family that runs the homestay were incredibly kind and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure that I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The accommodations themselves were top-notch, with a clean and cozy room that had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The location was also ideal, situated in a peaceful and quiet area of Hoi An that was still within easy reach of all the city's main attractions. But what truly made this homestay stand out was the warmth and hospitality of the family who runs it. They were always available to answer any questions I had and were eager to share their knowledge of Hoi An and the surrounding area. They even went out of their way to help me plan my itinerary and gave me great recommendations for things to see and do in the area. You can also rent a Motorcycle/Bike if needed. Overall, I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay in Hoi An. With 10/10 on everything, it truly is a gem and I can't wait to visit again.

Nothing, everything perfect!

Linh & her family were incredible hosts during our stay at Gia Vien. The home stay was spotless, the breakfast was awesome, and the location was perfect to visit the Old Town and the beach.

beautiful and very clean

not one thing

extremely welcoming hosts, lovely home

nothing

The moment we arrived all the family living there was nothing but happy, humble and nice people 😊 They help us a lot when we we’re trying to find a doctor and to find different locations😌 The entire experience was excellent!! ❤️

Nothing went wrong 😌

Great Host!

Accomodation was excellent. Both Linh and her husband were on hand to assist me with any queries I had re tours, directions, restaurants, etc. The accomodation was spotlessly clean, bedroom spacious with a great view. Very happy to recommend.

No complaints, everything was very good. It was a short walk to the centre of town. Very near a great choice of restaurants. Also a short taxi ride from an excellent beach.

Everything! We only planned to stay 1 night but we extended and stayed an extra night and it was no problem at all. The hosts were so helpful. They helped us book trains and also gave us recommendations for where to get clothes tailored in her families shop (also amazing!). The host adjusted our clothes too when I changed my mind about the fit! Brilliant place to stay ☺️

Nothing - everything was great. The hosts couldn't do enough for us. They were all amazing.

owners are extremely kind and helpfull with everything

everything is great honestly

incredibly welcoming family. breakfasts were very generous sizes and were delicious. rooms were clean and comfortable. really felt like a home away from home. unbelievably good value for money. the family helped us with great recommendations and helped us getting around.

The host is very warm and always willing to help out. Breakfast included is spectacular (we loved the bread + omlette).

The kindness of the hosts. The home is very near the center and very clean.

Everything was great!
