オートロックの開閉時間がよくわからませんでした。扉を閉めた矢先に閉まることもあれば、いつまで経っても閉まらない時もあり、時間帯に分けて使い分けてるのかな？

Location was great and super large house for very reasonable price. The facilities were great and very easy to use.

It gets very hot upstairs however that is due to the age of the house. There are aircons upstairs which help a lot and this is only a concern during summer.

Everything! This place was excellent value and spacious for Japan. Good location- next to imperial palace, walking distance to shops and mini mart etc and walking distance to metro, Nin Jo- Jo castle (awesome!)

Todo estuvo perfecto -Casa gigante muy cómoda y limpia -El baño más grande y lindo que he visto en Japón -Súper bien ubicado, muy céntrico con estación de metro que conecta con todo a unos 5-7 minutos caminando -Barrio muy tranquilo -Todos los electrodomésticos funcionaban a la perfección -Las camas muy cómodas y los fotones muy gruesos y cómodos también -El jardín interior es hermoso -Anfitriones muy atentos que siempre me respondían rápidamente y amablemente -Shelf check-in muy fácil

Belle endroit beaucoup de charme, on s’y sent bien et comporte tout le nécessaire pour passer un agréable séjour.

Nous avons reçu une plainte pour le bruit seulement 30 minutes après notre arrivée! Nous voyageons avec des enfants de 3,5 ans qui ne faisaient que découvrir leur nouvel environnement. Je pense que la plainte venait du restaurant/bar d’à côté ce qui est vraiment révoltant puisque tous les matins nous étions réveillés à 5h du matin par des bruits de camions (livraisons) pour ce bar justement! Hyper bruyant, on entend vraiment tout comme si nous dormions sur le trottoir.

Heated flooring was wonderful to walk on, also two toilets a must for 5 adults. The bathroom was beautiful.

Very little space for hanging clothes to dry and there is no dryer.

Meget lydt. Vi fik klager over vi larmede to timer efter vi ankom. Hver aften kunne vi høre naboerne og hver morgen, var der varebiler, der læssede af og på lige udenfor vores soveværelse. De traditionelle huse er meget lukkede, så vi havde meget lidt dagslys i huset

The property was very spacious and we enjoyed the experience of living in a traditional machiya, it has modern facilities with a full written manual on how to use all appliances in the house. The communal areas were very nice and the property is well prepared for groups of travellers.

The property can be a bit noisy for people sensitive to noise, the walls are thin and there is a bar next door which receives stock early in the morning and a lot of foot traffic, for some people in our group this was a problem. The beds provided were also very creaky and the property had a bit of a stench when entering

Excellent location in quiet part of Kyoto with easy access to subway and shops

Could have more glasses and coffee/tea cups and larger bowls for families that cook meals more often

外の声や音がよく聞こえました。娘が起きないか心配でした。猛暑日だったのもあり、到着してしばらくするまで冷房が効かず、暑かったです。

We wanted traditional and this didn’t disappoint.

Found it a bit difficult to find from where we were. When you click on the map link on booking.com we were unable to see where we were.

I have to say 100% to the people who run it fantastic! And the property itself out of this world, reminded me of old Japan with amazing zen garden and bathroom to the beautiful rooms upstairs I'd recommend this every day of the week The whole place to ourselves was amazing value everything we wanted was there and the great instructions They couldn't have made our stay better we'll be using here again

Location and authenticate home

Lots of paperwork and instructions sent to email. Didn't see email and as such in arrival were kept outside in the cold with young daughters. They insisted we fill out a form. We had basic wifi no phone and it was now dark and cold. Finally had to pay a tax then we're allowed the code. The extra bed was a thin mattress on the floor. The internal stairs were very small and steep. Not a good place if you are 6 ft tall. The shower drain was blocked. The downstairs heater did not work effectively. Avoid this place. They did not care we were outside in the cold despite messaging with them. A terrible experience.

The English address was wrong. It was difficult to find.

This apartment is an authentic Japanese living place, as the pictures show it. It is well equipped for a few days stay, including a coffee machine and the right dishes. Also a washing machine, quite practical if you translate the control keys from Japanese. The bathroom and sanitary are fine. Mind the stairs !

Except at the entrance for the coats, there were no available cupboards to store the clothes, we had to leave them in the suitcase during the stay. The cupboards are full with boxes and available tatamis. They are dusty. The beds creak. The apartment is situated at about 4km from Kyoto railway station and public transportation is quite far away. But taxis are quite available and affordable. All in one the place would need to be renovated a little bit in order to be more comfortable.

This place is truly beautiful. A wonderful "traditional" Japanese house but with all the modern things you could hope for. It's also about 2 minutes walk from the imperial gardens Cannot recommend this place enough.

located in quiet neighbourhood, and a nice, survivable walk away from the train and bus stations (less than 10 minutes). it is located right next to a shrine and the Kyoto Imperial Palace. the property itself is absolutely stunning and so, so comfortable to stay in. we had plenty of space for 5 guests and we really felt at home with the cozy and heavily Japanese-inspired interior. the property was overall quite clean, besides one of the rooms, and clean towels were provided. there was plenty of privacy between rooms, but also an inviting common area for friends to unwind & share snacks and stories after a long day of travelling. would highly recommend this place and i would genuinely book this property again given the chance.

the paint on the wall in one of the rooms was falling off a bit, and since our futon was right up against the wall, i would notice some paint flakes in my bed when i woke up in the morning. the thought of falling paint on me was slightly disgusting, but it wasn't the worse thing in the world. i have to emphasise that the rest of the property was superb and extremely clean.

The place is nice, confortable, and great if you want to experience kyoto and you already know the city. If it is your first time, there are better location to take the most out of your time.
