Loved the views, my kids enjoyed the heated pools and the water slides, seamless check in and check out. Everything that is needed in a self catering unit can be found.

The shower is very outdated, the water leaks out of the bathtub. It could do with a upgrade, just a regular stand-in shower will be great.

Das Hallenbad war dreckig. Leider wirklich ecklig. Wir haben viele Haare im Wasser festgestellt daher sind wir nicht ins Wasser rein gegangen, was sehr enttäuchend war. Die Straße zum Resort wird saniert. Der Weg war unübersichtlich mit fehlender Beschilderung.

The entertainment staff and the cleaning staff were friendly. Reception so so. The warm pool was lovely and thee entertainment- putt putt, darts and pool was enjoyable even though some stuff was apparently stolen by guests. I think they can look after stuff better. River was beautiful

The unit we stayed in this time was disappointing. No river view. Not enough utensils. Bath and toilet was leaking and unhygienic. Room was not cleaned properly after previous guests. Sanitary pad still in bin. No broom or washing cloth. Only enough welcome soap and shampoo given for two people even though we booked for 4 people

Todo el complejo es genial, tiene mil actividades, las habitaciones son estupendas y la cena y el desayuno, abundantes y deliciosos. Qué pena que sólo estuviéramos una noche!

La carretera a la ida estaba en plenas obras y fue tortuoso, pero cuando salimos la habían aplanado y no había nadie y fue mucho más cómodo. Teníamos dos casas y estaban muy alejadas entre sí, si nos hubieran avisado igual habríamos cambiado las opciones de estancia.

Lovely resort

It was a calm location with beautiful views.

I liked everything about the lodge from the accommodation, food, activities, environment and the warmth of the staff. The fact that we could just stay by the river and just relax listening to the birds and the river itself

*Cabins/house not cleaned, aircon not heating up *Utensils old questions is are they sterilized whenever guests leaves, * Linen was not changed in one of the beds * Ironcast pots were rusty in that they spoiled the meat we cooked * I had to call for management so that we can be changed from initial cabin that we were booked in to the other * They don't have internal phone, one has to call the cell number that is provided and they take long to respond. * They need to change to smart TVs can't be looking at old DSTV channels * Fridges too small and both Cabins some shelves broken

We initially had some issues with the rooms we were assigned, but the staff very quickly tended to the issues raised. We had a wonderful restful weekend away. The resort is great and very family-and-children orientated.

This place is super nice relaxing and so much to do

The breakfast was really good but they did not have enough crockery and had to keep us waiting while they washed all the dishes, I also think for the amount of guests there were not enough staff to help them in the breakfast room. But all in all we were on holiday so in no rush. Thanks to all for making our stay so memorable.

The kids are 13, so couldn't use the bikes, it would have been nice if there were pickle or paddle courts to keep them busy for a little longer, but the indoor pool is a real bonus.

The aircon for heating wasn’t working properly and the house is cold so it was a freezing experience.

Das Außengelände des Resorts ist schön. Das Frühstück eigentlich okay. Das Personal im Restaurant war freundlich

Die Unterkunft war sehr dreckig. Der Boden war nicht geputzt, das Bad sehr heruntergekommen, die Bettlacken, Polster und Bettdecken waren dreckig, es gab mehrere eklige Flecken. Wir fanden ein paar kleine Würmer in den dünnen Decken die über das Bett gelegt waren. Das Personal war nicht besonders freundlich und gab auch wenig Hinweise für den gesamten Aufenthalt. Haben uns total unwohl gefühlt und waren froh, nach einer Nacht wieder gehen zu können.

Quite, serene, great place to switch off and recharge, away from the hustle bustle of everyday life.

Suggest to maybe add an aircon upstairs so we could increase the heat for when it gets really cold. Either than that we enjoyed the place.

The heated pool wasn't 'heated' during winter, which was very disappointing because that's the reason I booked this lodge.

We used the same sheets from day one until the last day.on Saturday they cleaned the room around 15:00.

The atmosphere of this property is amazing. The views of the surrounding mountains were captivating. The room was so beautiful with a kitchenette and smart TV.

We had such a great weekend! The place is beautiful, peaceful, and perfect if you just want to relax and enjoy nature. The heated pool was definitely one of our favourite parts, and we also really enjoyed the hike with the lovely views. Everyone we met was so friendly and welcoming. The receptionists were incredibly helpful, and even the lady at the kiosk was kind and made us feel welcome. Those little touches really made our stay even more enjoyable. Everything was clean, the atmosphere was amazing, and we had an awesome time. We'll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend away!

The only downside was that the bedroom had two single beds with single-bed bedding. As a couple, this wasn't very comfortable. It would be much better if the room had a double bed or, at the very least, a double duvet/blanket instead of two single blankets. We think this small change would make the stay much more comfortable for couples.

Warm welcoming staff especially Promise the receptionist and Thabo the waiter at the restaurant. The house had everything that was needed including, warm beds, TV, WiFi, clean toilets, shower with warm water at a good pressure, heater, stove, oven, microwave, kettle fridge and cutlery + utensils that were very useful to cook supper, braai area and seating area outside. The location is beautiful and the resort is very well maintained and have a lot to offer like a variety of swimming pools and games to play.

The road leading to the resort was confusing. We arrived at night and it was difficult to navigate the gravel road that is under construction, luckily one of the neighbours passed by and told us to follow her.

Mooie ligging aan de rivier met veel faciliteiten voor kinderen. Het verwarmde zwembad is erg fijn voor de koudere dagen, zodat kinderen alsnig lekker kunnen zwemmen.

Breakfast was great, facillities and grounds were awesome.

Booking included dinner but seems like it wasn't communicated to the restaurant staff, however they were very helpful. When checking out, the reception staff was on the phone but never really acknowledged us, not a glance even after signalling that I was dropping off keys, ended up leaving them on the counter. It's like I was invincible, maybe she had a bad morning...

Beautiful location. Room/hut neat, clean and interior modern.

Roadworks to location. But I think once it is done it will make a huge difference.

Very clean - everywhere. Nice, friendly staff - from arrival at security to reception and bar and restaurant staff. Beautiful location. Wel maintained grounds and facilities

I can't fault anything

The location was tranquil and the kids had a blast in the warm pool.

Nothing really bad just some updates could be made to make it more modern, especially the showers and bathrooms.

The rooms were extremely cold. Aircon only in the lounge also not working. at least the rooms should have electric blankets. Also the fact that we had to use two single beds with my husband that was a turnoff for us.

1. Restaurant: food was not appetizing. Poor menu options. I really didn't enjoy the food and the prices, totally not worth it. Rather self cater. 2. Baar drinks very very expensive for nothing.

Breakfast was good, the only issue was supper the previous evening. waiting time was very long. pizza was burned. A lot of other clients sent their food back.

The facility as a whole was very lovely. I will be coming back with my kids as they would enjoy the in and outside pools, activities on the premises.

I like the indoor swimming pool and their outside grounds are well maintained. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the views are to die for and they have child friendly facilities

The furniture is old in the rooms, it's even falling apart. The towels were old and cream white instead of being white. They can do better when comes to the room. There's also a gravel road that's about 11km to the resort. The parking are sooo small

Problems with electricity

Road there is terrible - 7km of dirt road. Maintenance terrible - exposed wire on a lamp that shocked my daughter - moved rooms the following day

From the first click, to the friendly professional assistance of Promise at reception, to Portia at the Kiosk, the awesome food and staff at the restaurant to the fellow guests this was a remarkable experience to be shared with friends and family members.

My stay was too short.

What I didn't like was the electricity problem but the staff tried they best to keep us updated and check up on us if we're still fine Even if there was no electricity the water was hot and the restaurant still operate

What happened to electricity on Saturday and Sunday ... We passed security gate and no one alerted us for over an hour 🥺🥺 The admin or running contacts numbers were not working on Friday night .

The location and the scenery is great. The sound of the flow of the river in the background brings a natural vibe.

The service at the restaurant is a bit slow and the menus got mixed up.

The single beds were not comfortable One single bed was sinking and very noisy The blankets were small and for single beds. Heater was not working and slept in a very cold room. The next day, there was no electricity until the following day.

Facility is nice and clean.

Had power outage Saturday afternoon, had no power to make food etc, could not make coffee and it is winter. The generator was started about 3 to 4 hours later and ran for about 2 hours. Had to visit the restaurant in darkness and waited for the generator to start there. Generator was switched off at bed-time around 10pm, so no power and lights through the night and following morning. Woke up to no power no coffee no hot water. I feel this was the responsibility of the facility to make the people comfortable and be prepared for power outages, clearly not. When I visited the kiosk I heard people calling the kiosk asking if there were candles available! this is just wrong, why not supply candles to each room or have emergency lighting available. I was not impressed by the way the power outage was handled and sad to say I will not visit Olifant river lodge again.

The place is beautiful, comfortable and food was amazing.

We stayed there for 2nights but our towels were not changed.

I really loved the Mountain View and my apartment was neat the receptionist were nice

I went there to celebrate my birthday with my friends but how do you celebrate in the darkness especially in this cold winter we had to quite the decoration and go to bed because generator was on for 2 hours and all that was never communicated prior, the entire night was dark when we woke up it was cold still no electricity that ruined the whole birthday experience.

Beautiful place to rest and unwind. We enjoyed ourselves. We are definitely coming back.

I asked for help with a issue in the room but no one came for me for those 4 nights There was rats in my ceiling in the kitchen roof and with this virus going on me and my fiance were not happy because it disappears in the day and only at night so we were not happy that the rat kept us up all night, so they must please put rat poison in the roof and get rid of them and the cleaning lady's must also do effort in cleaning beds I mean really the effort wasn't there but that didn't bother me,what bothered me was the rats that made us awake and worried especially with this virus thing

The staff was so great especially the ones that work in the dining /kitchen. Precious and the other guys were so friendly.
