Reviewed Jul 2, 2026This place is very warm, cozy, and exceptionally clean. It’s also in a great location for sightseeing and exploring local food. I visited during the low season, which made the experience even more relaxing. One of the best parts was meeting and making new friends during my stay. I would definitely recommend this place!

Reviewed Feb 27, 2026青旅位在古城區的北邊，旁邊就是夜市，去哪裡都算方便！ 房間空間不大，但是乾淨舒適，每個床位也都有自己的置物櫃。浴室熱水水壓有點小，不過無傷大雅 青旅主人 Fai 很親切，一樓的交誼空間也很容易可以認識新朋友，整體來說很物超所值，非常推薦～

Reviewed Jan 30, 2026If you want to stay somewhere that is well-located and the owner (Fai) gives best advice on where to go and what to to do, then About A Bed is an excellent choice! The hostel is beautifully designed, comfortable and clean. Most people staying here are very friendly, enjoy having fun and going out, but aren't the raging party types. The hostel is within a few minutes walk of the North Gate Market (eveing food stands) and the North Gate of the Old City. I can't recommend this hostel enough, and Fai is an absolute treat of a human being!

There is a no flip flop in the shower room rule. Showers take too long to heat the water.

The cleaner was also lovely even though she didn’t speak English, we understood each other and she always had a smile. The location is excellent and the hostel is super clean at any time of day. Reviewed Jan 3, 2026Wirklich ein sooooo tolles Hostel ! Mir gefällt, dass es so hell und freundlich ist, alles in weiß und Holz. Jedes Bett hat seine Vorhänge (ich hab es schon anders erlebt - daher schätze ich es sehr !) , die Duschen und Toiletten sind sauber und toll als Kabinen geregelt , der Social Raum ist eine gute Option, um entweder bei einem Kaffee in Kontakt zu kommen oder um sich im Sitzsack etwas zurück zuziehen. Wasser in kalt und heiß vorhanden und free Coffee. Vor allem die Besitzerin des Hostels ist so freundlich und cool und hilft einem bei allem ! Wäsche kann man auch dort waschen lassen. Die Lage ist toll! Ich hab nur Gutes zu berichten !!!

I lavandini sono nel corridoio. Nessun gran problema ma sarebbe più appropriato che fossero in una stanza separata, senza avere persone che vi girano attorno. Suggerico allo staff nel togliere quotidianamente gli effetti degli ospiti che vengono lasciati sui lavandini... non è bello vedere prodotti vari su zone comuni

Rooms are spacious and the beds are comfy, location is fantastic too. I ended up staying twice as I returned after visiting Pai~ highly recommend this hostel!

The entire place was quite clean, comfortable and quiet at night. The common room is great to socialise with others staying at the hostel too. Perfect for solo travellers. Reviewed Dec 16, 2025Tout était top. Bon placement au calme avec resto autour et juste en face de la vieille ville. Personnel au top pour répondre aux questions. Beau dortoir douches eau chaude et propre. Salle commune pas très grande mais pratique. Bon wifi.
Le matelas n’est pas épais. Donc c’est très dur. Mais cela ne m’a pas empêché de rester 5 nuits.

Reviewed Dec 8, 2025About a Bed is a truly comfortable and pleasant hostel. The owner is very attentive to her guests. She's incredibly kind and always has great advice for exploring the city and its surroundings. I felt so at home and comfortable there that I stayed for about three weeks. Geographically speaking, the hostel is really well located, just a few minutes from the entrance to the old town, and five minutes from a 7-Eleven and a night market open every day. The hostel is always very clean, and the dorms are very well laid out. I would gladly return.

Reviewed Dec 8, 2025I stayed here mainly because of the high reviews online, and there are definitely some good things about this place. The location is excellent — it’s walking distance to Northgate Jazz Bar, night food streets, 7-Eleven, and even the park where morning yoga happens. Very convenient for both day and night activities in the Old Town. I also want to highlight the receptionist, Fae — she’s very friendly, cheerful, and helpful. She gave me a very warm welcome.
The bed is quite hard and the mattress is very thin, so it wasn’t comfortable to sleep on. There’s also no breakfast provided. Since the hostel is located in a shophouse, there isn’t really a shared space where you can relax, socialize, or do remote work. There’s only one common area on the first floor, but it has a noticeable smell, which made it uncomfortable to sit there. For the price, I think you can find other hostels in Chiang Mai with: Softer and more comfortable beds More spacious common areas Free breakfast included

Reviewed Dec 3, 2025Tutto! Ho soggiornato qui anche 3 anni fa. Tutto è perfetto! Lo staff, l'accoglienza, la pulizia, la posizione... Il letto è comodo, materasso cuscino e piumino perfetti. All'interno del letto c'è la luce, la presa per il telefono, un piano di appoggio e anche un armadietto che si può chiudere con un Locker eventualmente. Le tendine del letto sono totalmente oscuranti e sembra di essere in una camera privata! C'è inoltre, di fronte ad ogni letto, un appendi asciugamano.
Non mi è piaciuto dovermene andare purtroppo!

Reviewed Nov 26, 2025獨旅住宿CP值高，櫃檯人員非常友善，會協助任何問題！女生住在混合房型中也很安全，這邊的旅客都算蠻有素質，要E要I都可以～ 房內是淺色目前的裝潢，乾淨，雖然不是全新但看起來保持的不錯，整體光線也很舒適 位置在老城區上方，旁邊走路3分鐘就有夜市跟小超市或7-11，去哪都蠻方便的
沒有電梯 所以大型行李旅客要斟酌

Reviewed Nov 24, 2025タオルも無料で貸し出ししてくれるところ。ベッドも造りがしっかりしていたので物音も気にならず夜も静かで安心して寝れました。洗濯物は1キロ70バーツで、お願いしたら当日の夕方には受け取れました。
ドミトリーのドアが閉まってないことが多いので防犯的に心配になりました。水回り濡れていることもあったので素足で宿の中を過ごすことに抵抗がありました。

Reviewed Nov 23, 2025I have stayed at this hostel 3 times, I now live in Thailand. Faii the owner, has become a good friend of mine in Chiang Mai.. I am not rating this hostel a big 10 because of our friendship.. I am highly rating it,because she is a hard working lady, who goes out of her way to look after everyone.. This place is immaculately clean, beds very comfortable, amazing showers with hot water. shampoo and body wash are all supplied for free… Water, tea and coffee are also supplied for free.. I have stayed in a few places in Chiang Mai, I can honestly say, this is the best place.. Thank you again Faii for your hospitality, see you again soon 🙏

Reviewed Nov 21, 2025Fußläufig gut zur Altstadt gelegen. Der Eingangsbereich ist hell und freundlich eingerichtet. Ganz in der Nähe gibt es kleine Cafés wo man sich morgens Kaffe holen kann.
Leider die mit Abstand unangenehmsten dünnen Matratzen, die ich während meiner 3 wöchigen Thailand Reise in einen Hostel gefunden habe. Daher leider nicht viel Komfort beim Schlafen. Die Zimmertüren schließen nicht richtig, sodass im Prinzip jeder auch ohne eine Schlüssel Karte Zutritt zum Zimmer hat.

Reviewed Nov 10, 2025Die Inhaberin ist der absolute Wahnsinn! So so lieb und bemüht! Man hat gemerkt dass es ihr richtig am Herzen liegt, dass man einen tollen Aufenthalt hat und alles klappt. Hat für mich bei mehreren Tour Agencies angerufen und auch ungefragt nachgehakt als die Abholung zu spät war. Für den early Check out auch alles gut organisiert. Generell hat das Hostel eine top Lage um zu Fuß alles zu machen, ist sehr sauber, schöne Lobby Common Area. Junge (Alleinreisende) Frauen sind so die Hauptzielgruppe würd ich sagen und kann es dafür sehr empfehlen :)
Die Matratzen waren vlt etwas dünn/hart aber hab trotzdem sehr gut geschlafen :)
