Provider-sourced guest reviews.
A charming and quiet boutique hotel with especially pleasant and professional staff, super cleanliness, crisp bed linens and in a great location for many of the local highlights with good food and laughably cheap ferries to the main city district.
Very clean and comfortable at a reasonable price. The staff were lovely and very helpful. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a good priced stat near to shopping and tourist attractions
Nothing to dislike for the price
Ideally located if you want to be in Fort Kochi. Utterly impractical if you need to be in Kochi/Trivandrum.
No complaints.
It was a clean space , room was well kept . staff was friendly. Good hospitality.
For the price being charged with only breakfast as meal option , they should keep facilities for tea and coffee in the room . That was a drawback.
The place is located in the middle of the neighbourhood with Dutch Palace and Paradesi synagogue. Still it is very quite, a bit away from the crowds. It is exciting to breath the cultural historical atmosphere. And all other places in Ford Kochi are easy to reach, by walk or tuc-tuc. It was nice to walk and see all activities of the Biennale. The manager is very nice and caring, as is the other staff. Breakfast is fantastic with lots of fresh fruits.
Daffodils Spice Court was the perfect choice for our 2 day stay in Kochi. Our room had a beautiful big window with a view onto the small street in front and some palm trees. The bed was comfortable and the room was also clean. A small detail we enjoyed was that there was a little ledge in the shower section of the bathroom (unlike the other hotels in India we've stayed at) so the bathroom floor remained dry in between showers. The staff were very helpful and nice and we loved the breakfast.
At certain points the noise from the street was noticeable - this might be an issue for the specific room we were staying in though.
Everything. Staff very nice and the hotel as well
Nothing
Good location and very smart and respectful staff
Hhhhhmmm. Very hard to point that out
A clean and comfortable family hotel near the dutch palace. The staff are incredible at taking care of the guests. I once arrived late (after midnight) and was worried they might lock but the receptionist was aware I am gone and simply waited.
Everything was great, just be aware that this is a perfect location for daytime attractions, but the night action is in fort kochi and you need a short tuktuk/taxi drive there, but it is easy enough to get it.
Very very clean and very kind staff!
Very clean, excellent helpful staff. Rooms very well kept and comfortable, good quality linen
Nothing
Clean, quaint & well located.
breakfast was good
Absolutely no pressure in the shower, Hot water only on a few days, if you complain about anything, the manager says why dont you find somewhere else to stay.
Le personnel super agréable et prévenant.
Friendly and welcoming staff that clearly know the area well. Staff were flexible with our check in timing and allowed us to leave our bags for the day which meant we could head out and enjoy Cochin without worrying about luggage. A good breakfast which was great value for money. The room and hotel was very clean. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet.
Bathroom plumbing was very inconsistent. There was no running water from toilet or sink tap unless the shower was running and the water from shower was either freezing cold or scalding hot.
So well taken care of by staff. This was a last minute surprise for my Husband & staff really went above & beyond for us. This cute little boutique style Hotel is beautifully located steps from the famous Jew Market. Breakfast was delicious too. Every recommendation given by front desk staff was bang on; restaurant suggestions, massage suggestions & referrals (10 minutes away by Uber) even directing me to the nearest Barbershop for a quick beard trim & shave. We will be back that's for sure. Can't beat the location & value for your $$$$. These two Canadians thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Honestly can't think of anything we didn't like!
It was super clean. Welcoming staff. Nice breakfast. Fabulous location
No hot water in the shower only stayed one night though maybe just a water issue
We very much liked the location and the stuff. The went above and beyond to help us in commuting and food recommendations
The room was a bit small for us (2 pax) the the price was good and appropriate
It was tasteful and clean. The staff were attentive and provided great service. Good location for seeing the sights
This hotel is a simple guest house type accommodation. The rooms are simple, clean and basic. The location is EXCELLENT. Fort Kochi is a 25 minute walk, there are great restaurants to suit every budget and palette walking distance away, there is enough shopping to do or browse closely, the water ferry stations are walking distance too. The rooms need one extra table to be able to keep a suitcase if you don't want to unpack everything and put in the cupboard. Some of the lighting also needs to be changed from white to yellow. The bathrooms are small and basic but perfectly functional and the amenities like shaving kits and toiletries are all available. The rooftop terrace is also clean and peaceful and overall this was a good experience. Sausages, coffee, fruit and boiled eggs with toast for breakfast was good too. The owner Roy was there during my stay and he is an extremely pleasant and VERY helpful person. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.d
Beautifully clean and fresh smelling in an excellent location. The staff are wonderful and super helpful with any requests.
Perfect location for visiting the Art Biennale or looking around the antique shops in the bazaar.
The breakfast was superb. Each morning started with a large fresh fruit plate and fresh squeezed fruit juice, eggs in whatever way we wanted them, chicken sausages, yogurt etc. It was really a full meal. Location is great. Really quiet and in a relaxed neighbourhood - after the busyness and crowds of the Fort Kochi waterfront, it was always a relief to come back to this clean, restful, welcoming boutique hotel. Above all, the staff were always so kind and helpful, responding quickly to every request. We give Daffodils Spice Court our highest recommendation.
Idéalement situé, propre, joli, et personnel très sympa
Nice and clean place. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Breakfast could improve a bit.
We were in Fort Kochi for the current edition of the Kochi Muziris Biennale. Daffodils is perfectly located to reach almost all the biennale venues by a 10 minute autorickshaw ride. Even the farthest, at Island Warehouse, is readily accessible by the Kochi Water Metro ferries, which you can catch from the Mattancherry terminal, just a 10 minute walk away. Located near the heaving heart of Jew Town, food and shopping are also at your doorstep.
Nothing to complain really.
Nice staff, nice location, nice breakfast
Hot water was broken for the part of my stay
Beautiful Hotel, excellent attention
Everything was great
La disponibilità dello staff, la pulizia e la posizione.
Aria condizionata difficile da regolare, nessun portavaligie e doccia troppo piccola
The staff were so friendly and helpful. We had no tea or coffee facilities in our room. It was sorted immediately. Tuc tuc and taxis were ordered through Uber by the staff. It made us laugh when the lift was used as Karen Carpenter sang! Would highly recommend. Breakfast was delicious. Fresh fruit, yogurt, eggs, omelet, toast and fresh juice.
Nothing
Its was amazing stay
Outstanding in every way Wonderful staff and a spotless quiet ideally located hotel This was my 2nd stay . I will come again.
Excellent location in the Jewish area, the nicest host you will ever meet. He arranged backwaters trip and taxi to go to Munnar and was always making sure I was all right

Safe, clean and convenient
Rooms were only passable. Bathroom quite poor- limited hooks and holders. Bed very hard. Didn’t feel like a hotel bedroom
Very hospitable and caring staff
nothing
The best part was the attention of Alain, so helpful and friendly that you want to stay longer and feel like at home.
Nothing, everything was perfect!
Located in Jew town with great restaurants, shops, cafe’s and galleries just around the corner, fort kochi just a short tuk-tuk ride away.
The property is very cute and has a lot of character. Great location and the best part was the amazing staff. Allen made sure our stay was extremely comfortable. He was attentive and went above and beyond to help us with our needs. The rooms are tasteful and clean.
A hidden gem in a quiet road only a short stroll from the synagogue. It’s a clean and safe place with only 8 rooms and all the staff, especially Alain, went out of there way to make us happy and comfortable! Breakfast is huge and amazing and has always varieties.
Great property, well maintained. Minimalistic but tasteful. Great location.
Couple of things - only one outlet for overseas outlet connections and we did not have the adaptor. The shower was not separated, once you shower the entire bathroom is wet for a while.
Lovely staff at Daffodils! Very attentive and welcoming. Handy location in the middle of Mattancherry. Easy to reach the spice markets and other attractions like the synogogue and palace. Comfortable bed and pillows. The room was small but clean. nice breakfast each morning.
Some music in the lobby might be nice to live the atmosphere up a little. Having to take the stairs up to the second floor was a bit of a pain but not the end of the world. Shower pressure wasn't amazing.
Great location, lovely building, nice room and super helpful staff.
There was no hot water during my stay of 2 days/ 2 nights.
The Front desk manager Allan n his staff were extremely helpful and really amazing loved their hospitality and service would definitely recommend my friends n relatives also the property was really beautiful n felt that ethicnic looks
Nothing..I liked everything about the property
There were 2 reasons why this was a fantastic stay. The location was perfect just a short stroll from the atmospheric Jewtown and the Dutch Palace and with plenty of cafes and restaurants also just a short walk away. Breakfast was very good and plentiful but the biggest reason for it being a great stay was Alain who was so helpful when we wanted to arrange a trip on an Alleppey houseboat, even managing to get me a discount, and always available with advice on the locality and offers of assistance to arrange transport. He even was happy to look after our luggage when we checked out to spend our last night of the holiday on a houseboat. Highly recommended.
Nothing
The staff was really nice and helpful.
The shower doesn't have a closed cabinet. So, the toilet gets all wet after showering.
Great staff waiting for us on arrival. Gave us a fresh coconut to drink while all the formalities were being sorted. Location is excellent for Fort Cochi and the Jew Town shopping area. No restaurant but plenty nearby. Nice breakfast provided with fresh fruit. Nice room with a/c and ceiling fan. The guys arranged an Uber for us for our onward journey. Would definitely stay here again. Good WiFi.
Room on 3rd floor but no lifr. However there was always someone to help carry the bags.
The location is great. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The service was excellent. Good breakfast
Nothing we did not like
Alain and team are great. Excellent service with a smile.
Nothing. Everything was as it should be. Great room, location, service.
Breakfast fine. Location great. Staff very nice. I liked that windows could open.
Shower not separate.
Great location in Fort Cochi Staff were very helpful
The staff were excellent.
Shower room was slippery.
Great location and clean, newer facilities. Staff were welcoming and courteous.
The Hotel had a very good location sunce it was in the jewish quartet near to many shops and restaurants and also it was easy to reach Fort Kochin since with a tul tul it was 10 minutes. The rooms were very good and extremely clean and the people in the reception were very professional and helpful providing us with all the necessary info on attractions and restaurants. An extremely good stay
Nothing
THIS WAS SIMPLE AND TASTY AND LOVELY COFFEE. Indian breakfast was delicious when requested, we had to ask for it - was lovely. Service good and nothing too much trouble., staff really helpful and went the extra mile. New years eve was fantastic and helped us have a fun but safe evening.
The communication regarding how to get to the hotel was very poor.We are international Travellers and got a prepaid taxi at the airport, poor coms with a very aggressive taxi driver meant we had to rush to a ferry at ten pm. Had we missed the ferry we would have been stuck on the mainland. The hotel did not convey any of the possible challenges we may face arriving late at night. I think assumed far too much about us as visitors. They did all they could to rectify the situation and we managed to get in after 11 pm on our first night - not ideal.. The airport in hindsight should not have taken the booking, it was a scary start to an otherwise lovely visit.
Absolutely impressed with this property, the place was spotless and the staff could not have been more helpful. Breakfast was amazing and the location is great. Fun area to shop and wander around the town. Loved this place. Thank you.
It’s a nice small old charm hotel in a great location - very close to the Jew town. Staff was great with restaurant recommendations and always smiling, especially the guy at the reception.
Our only recommendation to the hotel is re the car rental company they work with - we were recommended a car and driver by the hotel and the driver (Yusuf) / car rental company (owner Vinod) was an absolute nightmare throughout the trip and constantly changing prices / threatening to stop in the middle of nowhere if we didn’t agree. Please be wary of dealing with this company.
I have travelled around India pretty extensively and staying at this place was like meeting a unicorn. It was not only spotlessly clean but for a property that has been running for almost a decade, it looked practically brand new. The maintenance and care that is going into this property is next level. It may not be fancy, but this place is a real gem and the icing on the cake is that it is set in a fantastic part of historical Kochi in the wonderful and charming Jew Town district. We found all the staff to be very professional, helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was simple but very tasty and filling. This property really delivered in terms of quality of service and value for money.
A safe for guests to store valuables in the room would have been nice.
Exceptionally clean and well maintained; wonderful, attentive staff who offered every assistance; great location in Jew Town section of Fort Kochi.
Nothing.
Location to Jew Town was extremely helpful for us to explore that part of Mattancheri
Am elevator would have been helpful
The location is something special. You find yourself in the middle of a medieval Jewish quarter, a very touristic place. Though at nights it is so quiet and the local life comes its way... The reception was exceptional. The guy (sorry, I forgot his name) was as attentive and helpful as you may only think of. All of his recommendations were really the best. Thank you!
The kettle would be much appreciated
Extremely helpful and nice staff. Tasty and plentiful breakfast. Room was clean, with A/C.
Clean, new, comfortable. Nicely located in Jew Town
Perfect location. Their people are lovely.
Nothing
Good location at a great price
Room a little on the small side
Excellent location, at the nicest spot in Kochi (Jewtown). Clean and safe location. The staff is very friendly, and the small hotel is cosy and clean, with all new facilities.
There is no elevator, was not a problem for me (I was on 2nd floor out of 3). I was offered to have my suitcase carried.
Staff was great, location was really close to the main sights and the room was spacious and clean.
Breakfast was good but some more options would be nice.
Daffodils Spice Court proved to be a convenient choice, thanks to its central location in Jew Town, Kerala. It allowed us easy access to the areas we wanted to explore, making our stay more enjoyable. The rooms, while not extravagant, provided a comfortable and cozy environment that felt like a temporary home for us. The friendly and helpful staff added to the positive experience, offering assistance and guidance to navigate the nearby tourist sites. Their support made our visit smoother and more enjoyable.
Despite the positive aspects of our stay, there was one disappointing aspect at Daffodils Spice Court. We had booked a room with a balcony but were let down to find that there was no furniture available to sit on. This lack of seating made it challenging for us to fully utilize and enjoy the balcony. While it's possible that the furniture was put away due to the monsoon season, it didn't appear as though any had ever been present. This limited the practicality and enjoyment of the balcony space, which was unfortunate.
Cute place, very friendly staff.
the stairs. no lift
