Noisy early in the day

Close to everything and despite being on a busy road, it was nice and peaceful, literally a few minutes walk to Minster and then onto Shambles. Easy access to everything. Room was a decent sizem, very good rainfall shower, tea and coffee options and refills. Although no staff on site, I was contacted 1/2 times a day to check if needed anything or any issues. Full length mirror/dressing area and hairdresser and plug near the mirror. Clean and basic and good natural light.

It does state clean and basic, and it is definately that. So if you want something more, maybe this room would not suit you. If you look (not too closely) you can see the wear and tear, especially in the bathroom, paint missing or splashed on the wrong things, taps and plug hole very full of limescale. Mix match of cheap furniture and fittings, both myself and my husband both caught our foot on the leg bar of the bed walking around. Couldnt get the blinds down, and the curtains let too much light in from the curtain rail. Very slippery on the shower base, could do with something to prevent this. No toiletries. Just small attentions to detail which would really elevate the property. Very small foyer which had 3 large bags of something in there for 2/3 days. Narrow stairs. Fire doors did not look or feel like fire doors so likely not rated. Lack of communal seating or kitchen area.

A due passi dalla cattedrale di York e 15 minuti a piedi dalla stazione dei bus/treni. Camera molto spaziosa, avevamo un letto matrimoniale e un comodo divanetto. In camera è presente un bollitore e tutto l'occorrente per te e caffè, molto apprezzato. Karen è un host molto disponibile e la comunicazione è stata ottima!

Clean and neat and so central to everything. The owner was very prompt and helpful with her messaging.

The stairs were a bit of a challenge for an old bloke with a sore leg but really my own fault for having too heavy a suitcase.

Posizione perfetta, super centrale, a pochi passi dalla cattedrale. Ho avuto la camera mansardata, che era molto confortevole. Nelle vicinanze ottimi café e supermarket. Anche la stazione ferroviaria è raggiungibile a piedi, così come le principali attrazioni della città.

Very clean asked by email every day if we needed anything, all though we did see Karen most days, a perfect location and good price, we would definitely return

The road outside was very busy and noisy.

The location was excellent. The room was comfortable and the building was cute. I appreciated the kettle and teas and the hairdryer. Easy check-in and checkout process and the host was very nice. The water pressure was also really good.

The bathroom lacked proper ventilation which kept it humid at all times and could have done with a bit more of a recent clean.

Very well located, spacious and clean. Very good communication from host. Enjoyed the complimentary tea and coffee in the room.

Street noise but the double glazing greatly reduces the noise if used correctly.

Posizione comodissima, nel cemtro di York a due passi dalls cattedrale. In zona ci sono supermarket, pubs e caffetterie. La camera e' grande e confortevole, con un bagno spazioso.

Location was very convenient for the wedding we were in York for The room was lovely, huge shower which was perfect! The owner of the property was great, kept in touch with us throughout our stay to see if we needed anything. Would deffinately stay again 😁

- Great size, very big bathroom. - Clean. - Appropriately stocked (tea, biscuits, towels, pillows).

- Although windows were shut, you would think they were open as can hear every noise on the street. York Races were on and I accept that I stayed in York city centre so there will be more noise than usual. - No fridge.

Loved where it was. Near to the station and not far into town. Lovely rooms.

The only thing we didn't like was the fact that the shower head wouldn't stay up. It kept slipping down, so we had to crouch under it. Easy fix though and it certainly wouldn't put me off going again.

The property was in very good condition and comfortable. In the heat that we had it could be helpful to have a fan to keep us cool and a fridge to to keep our drinks cold. We are a 70 year old couple and our room was on the third floor which was bit difficult but when we were there the room was great. And we would stay with Minster Hub if we come back to York. You really cannot get better position in the center of York, to be near all the attractions, shops, pubs and restaurants even if you tried. Price is good and we enjoyed every moment of it. Like all accommodations it needs a little improvement to make it perfect.

Apart from the fact that we had to be on third floor there was nothing wrong with this accommodation.

perfect location and super spacious room!! self-check in went smoothly, and Karen is a wonderful host. she was always checking whether I needed new towels, bedding, or anything else for the stay. it was very chilly in York and Karen brought a space heater for me to use in the room which was wonderful. the bed was so cozy, the bathroom was massive, and the shower facilities were great. a very short walk to all the main landmarks in York like the city walls, the Minster, and the Shambles. would love to stay here again someday!

Great central location. Karen was easy to contact, friendly and helpful. Room was bright and clean, bijoux but had the basics, kettle, hairdryer. I had the attic room which had 50 stairs to climb up to, so kept me fit!. I slept well and loved waking to birds singing and York Minster bells chiming. Really handy location, Sainsburys and Tesco nearby. Cafes and restaurants. The Art Museum minutes away, City wall… Loads to see and do. Couldn’t fit it all in. I’ll be back.

I was totally happy with my room. As I mentioned it was the attic room, so watch your head people!

Easy to get to from the train station and close to the Yorkminster plus York shops

Just in the centre of York, you can get anywhere. This is a quality of its own. And here comes more - a large, clean room, comfy bed, large bathroom; all space balanced (corner lights for readers!) You go on the street, and turn into THE York, wonderful. Go for it! As city people, we were really grateful for having a street-facing room as we asked - the vibe of Roman walls, the rain (and the sun sometimes, oh, Yorkshire), cafes' business, bars, museums, just at your feet. Recommended!

The room was comfortable. The lady who owns the ptoperty was very quick to reply to any questions we had. The kettle kept swiyching itself on and the toilet flushed itself but wasmt a problem. Infact we fpund it amusing. . On the up we were a 2 minute walk into town and very close to all amenities.

When first booking this accomodation, i was under the impression i was booking a whole apartment once booked, i received a message saying that the booking was for a room only, which we thought was too expensive

La ubicación es ideal, a unas cuadras de la catedral y de todo el centro. Súper calentito el ambiente.

Fueron como 4 pisos por escalera de alfombra y no avisaba. La ducha es DIMINUTA, nivel no podia poner ni el jabon. Pero buena presion de agua.

More than happy with our stay. Quiet and comfortable property with a great location to all the main attractions.The hosts are lovely and friendly. Will return in the winter.

The location is too close to everything that you need. Karen (the owner) is so responsive. It’s a beautiful place to stay. Just few steps outside the place, you can have the entrance to the York’s wall .. of course apart from it being close to the York Minster and shops.

Maybe an extra pillow would be best. :) But ptherwise, this place is so amazing and well maintained.

The bathroom wasn’t as clean as I’d have liked. I had to wipe the toilet seat and wipe around the sink etc. could’ve done with a better clean prior to our stay.

I like the soft seat in the room. But would be nice if they added small table to put a cup of tea on it. I would visit again.

The room was as expected, big room, with decent size bathroom. Some aspects of the room could be better, such as the size of the shower in comparison to the room it is in and the finish of the decor. But if you need somewhere comfortable to stay with no frills, it was perfectly adequate.

This comment is just personal. Although I could manage the stairs, I did find them a little difficult at times, and did not appreciate from the description of the property that the room was on the top floor.

The property was in a good location as was not far from the station & right near York Minster. The property was clean & my bed very comfortable & tea & coffee etc was provided & so was shower gel & hand washing with towels, extra pillows & hair dryer

Nothing really. The attic room did have 6 short flights of stairs, 50 steps approx to climb, but I did choose that room

The room was exactly as advertised. Friendly welcome as they had just finished preparing the room. Very close to everything in York and a great base for sightseeing.

The closest car park is very expensive.

We had a lovely stay in the room, it had everything we needed. The bed was lovely and comfortable, the bathroom super clean with soap and body wash and we enjoyed our complimentary Yorkshire Tea in the morning. It was well located near nice restaurants and not too far from the centre. Would recommend!

The communication was a little bit stilted but overall not bad and didn't affect our stay. You can hear when people are in the hallway but we had no issues with anyone being loud.

Had an absolutely lovely stay room was very clean and bed was super cosy! Had a TV, a nice wardrobe, a couch, tea and coffee making facilities, a big bathroom and even an LED mirror in the bathroom and bedroom to do your makeup etc! In a very convenient location on a road with Tesco express just a min away and everything was pretty much a 10 min walk away - check in was also super easy. Definitely recommend :)

Perfect loccation, very clean and comfortable room .

The location was excellent, with quick walking access to the city and Minster; and the street became quiet for sleeping from around 11pm. The decor was tastefully done, the bed and bedding was comfortable and access to the keys worked well.

The secondary glazing in the bedroom helped to reduce the noise of the street, but I could not open it to get fresh air into the room. As no breakfast was offered, I brought my own, but there was no fridge to keep it fresh. The shower head dropped and there was no extractor fan working in the bathroom.

Proche du centre historique de York, nous y avons très bien dormi. La chambre est spacieuse et agréable.

Le système pour la douche est un peu spécial et difficile à réguler sans que l'eau ne passe de très froid à très chaud.

I liked how close the property was to the man part of the city and was very easy to get around!

Only fault is no parking, but understandable given the location. There are car parks not too far from the property

Location was perfect, communication from owner was excellent. The room was clean and comfortable, the shower was good. We would definitely stay here again.

Would have preferred a parking option. The iron was unclean and would have stained my clothes had I not used a towel.

The bathroom had odour, but not game changer. Some basic cutlery would have been helpful. Easy for me but hard if anyone couldn’t maneuver steps.

They apparently sent me some info through whatsApp. I don't even use it. Booking. Com also failed to reach the property. I had to make a last minute booking. Cost me double the price. Booking. com only reimbursed me £79.
