Amazing location, incredibly friendly hosts.
Magical location and very comfortable accommodation in the lodge. Mark was a delight.

Everything. Amazing location, the lodge was so unique and spacious. It was peaceful and lovely
That we only stayed one night.
Everything was perfect
Fan in bedroom would be nice other than that everything 10/10
This is the most amazing accommodation during our trip, no TV in the room but a CD player in the living room. Very cozy and comfortable, and quiet all the time but we enjoyed encounters of ducks visiting us in the garden occasionally, it is a kind of black and white dressed species. The host is very helpful and friendly. We have visited the garden twice and enjoyed finding other species of ducks and birds, lots of plants and a waterfall.
I was not familiar with the stove provided in the kitchen, it was a stove with gas can used for picnic, luckily my friend knows how to use it for cooking. Finally we have made the best beef ever cooked with this stove.
Beautiful surroundings , amazing lodge
Nothing - it was all breathtaking
Nada
Everything. The accommodation was beautiful. 1960’s style lodge. With stunning views from the multiple balconies. Excellent location for anyone who just wants to chill. Sacha and Serena were excellent hosts and very knowledgeable.
The gardens and walkways are beautiful. The cottage is home away from home. The hostess was very welcoming and the perfect breakfast was included.

Very friendly with good local knowledge. Basic accommodation with good facilities (washing machine) and a comfortable bed. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. Cosy lounge. Good parking.
It was a little musty.
Close to friends house and scenic area
Could get overheated in the sunshine
Spacious small apartment with a tub and a shower. Food provided for a make your own breakfast was good.
A bit out of the way but it was quiet.
A unique place to stay. In the watergardens. Wandered around with place to myself. Beautiful spot. A lovely little house well equipped.and friendly host. Perfect.
Fabulous location! A wonderful place to relax and wind down. The gardens are magnificent and the house is very spacious and comfortable. We had such a warm welcome from Serena. Having breakfast supplies ready for us meant we could enjoy breakfast at our leisure and soak up the amazing view.
Our (slightly!) older eyes found some of the lighting a bit dim in the bedroom and bathroom but it didn’t detract at all. It didn’t stop us gazing out at the gardens!!
Stunning setting in beautiful gardens and ponds surrounded by miles and miles of pure native bush interspersed with streams and waterfalls. Natures wonderland. Added to that was beautiful accommodation.

Well maintained facilities with beautiful decorated dwelling for confort stay
Location isolated
Absolutely beautiful gardens in a calm and peaceful location. For those who want to relax this place is ideal. The hosts were lovely.
It’s very quiet and serene. There is plenty of room for our family of 3. The gardens and waterfall are beautiful. The staff is very helpful. The kitchen has everything we needed.
the breakfast supplied was good lovely surroundings gardens lovely and went upto waterfall would recommend staying there very friendly and helpful
wifi could have been better
Gorgeous property.
they supplied breakfast cereal toast the usual were friendly gave ideas for trips
had trouble with wifi
The gardens were so beautiful. The owners welcoming.
Would prefer easier access to Internet
The gardens are beautifull, the waterfall at the of the end of the 'red' walk is spectactular. After a hectic year is was great place to unwind at the beginning of our NZ holiday. With no internet or TV we could catch up on some reading and have a nice rest. The supplied breakfast with eggs was a great way to start the morning. We stayed three nights and headed up to Corromandel Town for a peruse and headed out to driving creek for the zipline tour (so fun). I recomend Peppertree at Corromandel for a delicous dinner. Thanks Sacha and Trish for bieng great hosts, we hoped to stay again. If you are simply in the area head out and do the garden walks, you will not regret it.
Nil, all good
Beautiful lodge in a gorgeous setting! Very peaceful and relaxing.
Leaving it!
A perfect start to our New Zealand vacation. Please be aware that you will have no cell phone service but that is part of the allure.
Situated in the most beautiful location, in the amazing Water Gardens. The beautifully furnished and equipped lodge far exceeded anything we expected. Amazing place to stay, totally peaceful and wonderful welcome from Sacha. It just has to be appreciated that it is located on the West side of the peninsular quite a drive down a lane from the main coastal road. So not suitable for exploring East coast of peninsular. But to recharge batteries in wonderful natural setting it surely cannot be surpassed. Thankyou Sacha.
Catering no longer available in reception, but that did not really affect us given our own facilities.
Breakfast of eggs and toast, coffee and tea. Cereal option also available. All the basics provided, plus lots of CDs and books in the beautiful garden surroundings, the cottage accommodation is immediately 'next door' to the water gardens. A two night retreat, I would happily have stayed for several.
It is well advertised that the cafe is currently closed. It is a charming facility settled amongst several large trees and with potential atmosphere to well complement a visit to the gardens, easily imagined with day visitors for tea and cake.
A little bit of Paradise away from the hassle of modern life ! Thank you Sacha
Loved the peaceful atmosphere, the warm fire, and lovely clean windows to see the gorgeous views

Lovely place, secluded and cozy
Beautiful garden views, well appointed spaces and excellent service.
Beautiful setting. Super helpful host. Bountiful breakfast included.
No WiFi in room, but available at reception
A great stop in the middle of nature. A wonderful garden with ponds with water lilies and waterfowl. Safe hiking trail to the waterfall, wonderful nature all around. Eggs were prepared for breakfast with everything you need. Very open and caring host. Wonderful stay.
I would have liked to stay longer.
breakfast was fine. We loved the peace and quiet with the bush setting
Rapaura watergardens is a hidden gem! The accommodation is lovely place to relax and rewind in nature. To top things off Sasha provided exceptional and friendly service to ensure we were comfortable at all times. Limited cellphone reception meant we could fully emurse with our friend group and with the nature surrounding
Everything was amazing we had the most relaxing time and would go back in a heartbeat. We were looked after so well and every detail was perfect.
This is a really beautiful place to spend a few nights. Setting is in a rainforest with waterfall and lovely gardens. It is a unique experience that is hard to find now. Sacha is a wonderful host.
The water gardens were beautiful. If you like a very quiet stay far away from civilization this is the place to be.
The villa was outdated. Furniture and bathroom were still from the 60ties.
Peaceful location surrounded in beautiful gardens
No closet to hang your clothes
The owner of the property, Sacha was very helpful and friendly.BBQ at the cottage was a lovely setting for us to relax and enjoy the calmness of the place without mobile signal and Wi-Fi.Also we enjoyed their cafe space and walking to the fall.An old instrument called Pianola was in the cafe area.I loved watching Sacha showing us how to play on it!Only less than 2 hours from Auckland. It was an amazing experience even for one night stay!
It was shame their restaurant was not available yet.It might be open when you get there but check with the accommodation in advance. If you take some food from supermarket or takeaway from Thames it is no problem. We had a special private BBQ dinner at the cottage instead. Shampoo was not included but soaps and bath bombs were there for the bathroom!
What an extraordinary location. The gardens and the waterfalls and the associated walks were exquisite. The cottage itself was so far beyond what we had expected that it is difficult to praise it enough. It was simply wonderful!! And so peaceful. Not having a TV was a bonus in this case; what a great idea!!! Finally, a compliment to Sascha, a lovely man who made us feel so welcome. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Nothing!!!
Absolutley magical! Thank you. Was a much needed peace, quiet and full of adventures by the river the sea and amazing people. Thank you for sharing your beautiful space with us. Can't wait to be back! :)

this motel has to be the best one we’ve stayed on whilst travelling around NZ. lovely set up, plenty space and somewhere to sit outside. good cooking facilities too. pity we didn’t have longer to stay and enjoy the comforts.
Beautifully quiet and peaceful. Great spot to recharge in.

Was a great environment. Nice cabin with lots of space. The free breakfast was a bonus waiting in our kitchen
Unique property with amazing views and facilities

Lovely setting in the forest with water features close for a pleasant hike. We'll stocked kitchen, including some fresh eggs ready to be cooked for breakfast. Very nice and considerate host. Wi-Fi available in the main building. Paved road from the west side of the Coromandel peninsula ends just past the entrance. The gravel road beyond can be used to journey to the East coast of the peninsula.
Not being able to stay longer.

Everything!!!, Absolutely amazing place to stay. Quiet, with nature all around. Just bliss. Sacha was so friendly and helpful. The cabin was immaculate and perfect for what we were wanting for our honeymoon stay. The waterfall was stunning with an easy and beautiful walk and the gardens were well kept. Would highly recommend Rapaura Watergardens to anyone wanting an exceptional night's accommodation.
We had a great stay.
Amazing gardens with long walks, ponds, sculptures, ducks, waterfalls. Very quiet and out of the way. Host left very nice fixings for breakfast and read very friendly and helpful.
Everything was great, Staff were friendly welcoming. The cottage was way more than we thought we were getting. loved meeting owners and they were really nice people and so helpful
Amazing hosts Sally and Sacha made us feel welcome and special. Excellent stay in a unique bush setting.
Beautiful gardens and the cottage was amazing. We were there for a friends wedding and the staff went above and beyond! Only advice would be to request a fan in the cottage, it was very warm well into the evening and as the cottages are surrounded by the garden and trees there are too many mossies to be comfortable leaving windows open
It is Paradise for us. We felt like a pair of Film Stars and relaxed completely after the busy family Christmas celebrations.
Such a stunning location with bush walks, tranquil gardens and lovely hosts.
All very good. Walk around gardens is a great way to relax.
If you want someplace and tranquility for a day or so this is the place, a rustic cottage set in beautiful gardens.
Lovely gardens and the nicest staff. Wonderful to swim on the waterfall!
