vintage furniture is beautiful, but not always practical.

​The Shinabura Boutique Hotel is easily one of the most unique places I have ever stayed. From the moment I walked in, the incredible craftsmanship made me think I stepped into a centuries-old historic estate, yet the general manager shared that it’s actually relatively new. The sheer dedication of the builders and staff is visible in every single detail. Nothing here is mass-produced or overlooked. ​During my two-night stay, I had a very nice evening conversation with the GM, Bent Laasholdt. His passion for the property and genuine love for his job shine through in the atmosphere he and his team created. It’s rare to find a hotel that balances authentic character, thoughtful luxury and human warmth. It was a remarkable stay...

Love everything here. Services from front dest, hk and f&b, atmosphere of Lanna style, comforting bed and materials in room are all art pieces and work well. Everything was perfect. My breakfast and dinner were soooo good.

A small boutique hotel full of charm, beautifully maintained and with great attention to detail. We felt very comfortable from the moment we arrived. The rooms are very spacious and feature a unique and elegant design. The bathtub in the middle of the room is an original touch that creates an exclusive, intimate and romantic atmosphere, making the stay even more special. All the staff were extremely friendly and attentive. We would especially like to mention Mr Peter, who helped us arrange a car for an excursion and was always available whenever we needed anything. We are very grateful for his kindness and assistance. The hotel has a lovely swimming pool and a bar where you can relax and enjoy a drink in the evening. Every corner has been beautifully designed and cared for, and you can really see the attention and dedication behind every detail. A wonderful stay in a hotel full of character and charm. Definitely a place I would recommend and happily return to.

Beautiful hotel, very unique styling. Staff were excellent and very friendly. Loved the attention to detail as well as the cultural museum which is above reception.

Although the restaurant was excellent they need to be a little more accurate in their descriptions which would help vegetarians. The staff’s English is good but lacks the vocabulary to understand ingredient requests. We muddled through but it meant my wife couldn’t eat a few courses.

Room dark lots of mosquitoes and staff lie about room change say hotel full but booking . Com say room available.. I take that to staff they laugh but call me after . Not recommended and I travel Thailand a lot

The authenticity

Cleanliness, size of the pool, to many muscitos because of the little ponds that are not maintained. Breakfast was expensive for what it was.

The bed was very comfortable. The grounds are beautiful with gardens and water features. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking.

No comfortable seating. Nearly impossible to access the balcony from my room. The entry door was difficult and noisy

Pool was next to where people arrived and was very small. Very loud noise at night and in a morning.

The location is a bit outside of the city-center - but no problem with Grab-Taxi - works perfectly and cheap !

The hotel features beautiful and exquisitely detailed traditional Thai decor. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and both the property and the rooms are stunningly decorated.

The room's soundproofing was quite poor. We could clearly hear noises from the hallway and neighboring rooms while inside our room.

The hotel has a beautiful historic style and feels very unique.

The swimming pool needs better cleaning. There was a lot of dirt and bird droppings at the bottom of the pool and around some corners of the pool area. We informed the staff about it, but I don’t think it was cleaned properly, as some dirt was still left afterward.

The location and the staff made this a great experience

Beautiful property tucked away in a little alley, and they have excellent food. Very reasonably priced two hour massage!! Such a comfortable stay - the bed was extra big!!

великолепный отель, с историей, очень интересно оформлен, это было наслаждение осматривать отель и его территорию. номер был просто огромный матрас мягкий, что непривычно, но сон был очень хороший. завтрак разнообразный настолько, что мы объелись. рядом с отелем 7-11 и можно купить все что нужно.

я не увидела разницу в реальности между номером стандарт и делюкс, хотя заплатила за делюкс

ไม่สะอาด แอร์มีเชื้อราหนามากก เลยแทบไม่อยากใช้แอร์ เปิดหน้าต่างนอน สรุปนอนไม่ค่อยดีเพราะร้อน และกลัวแมลงเข้าเยอะเนื่องจากไม่ได้มีมุุ้งรวด แย่มากๆค่ะ สุดท้ายยอมเปิดแอร์นอนกลางดึก ตื่นมาไม่สบายจามกันทั้งคู่เลยค่ะ อาหารเช้ามีให้เลือกน้อยมากก สถานที่ทานอาหารเช้าอึดอัด ในโรงแรมราคาระดับนี้ ควรปรับปรุงด่วนๆๆค่ะ

Mooi hotel in oude stijl, vriendelijk personeel, ruime kamers, uitstekende bedden, goed bereikbaar, goed uitgebreid ontbijt in een fijn restaurant in oude stijl met veel hout. Zwembad niet al te groot, maar zag er mooi uit met ligbedden deels in water. Leuk barretje als vervanger voor de biertuin, welke er in 2024 nog was. Dit was mijn 2e verblijf en zal er zeker weer terugkomen als we in de buurt zijn.

De badkuip, wastafel en douche in de kamer, slechts gescheiden door een gordijn. WC was wel apart, maar bereikbaar door de douche (Grand Deluxe Kamer). Ik geef de voorkeur aan een gesloten badkamer (zoals ik vorig jaar in dit hotel had), maar dat is een persoonlijke smaak en er zullen genoeg mensen zijn, die het wel fijn vinden..

From the moment we arrived, we were treated to the warmest welcome we’ve ever received. The staff and manager are a credit to this wonderful hotel. The hotel is also a museum and the manager very kindly gave us a tour, explaining all about Thai history and craftsmanship. We stayed for 9 nights and could’ve stayed forever, it really is a special place.

There is nothing whatsoever to dislike about Shinnabura Hotel

The outside historic look

1. The BATHROOM: - there are no shelfs or draws to place your stuff/toiletries. - there are no hooks to hang your towels - the shower curtains were old and had rust marks and mould on them - some bathrooms dont have an actual shower and you need to shower inside the small bath tub which is very tiny and uncomfortable plus all the water just goes everywhere all over the bathroom and all around the bath tub! - the shower head is old and has low water pressure - the shower drain seemed blocked and the water would build up 2. Swimming pool is small 3. Lots of mosquitoes, some inside the room and a lot more outside. 4. Small food buffet for breakfast. 5. Parking: Limited parking and you have to park on this gravel dusty area off the property. 6. The gym is off site in a barrack and the gym facilities are very poor 7. It is not very convenient hotel for old people with disabilities or for people who have trouble walking, as there are too many stairs and steps around the place. 8. Not a very convenient location, except for the petrol station close buy. 9. Every night there is loud music noise and singing coming from a cafe/club bar near by until midnight or later.

Nice place, old historic look inside & out. Beds are super comfortable. Staff are hospitable and helpful. The hotel has their own van which you can organise to take you to places like Airport and back for 500 BHT per trip (AUD $25). The Security guy was great, kind and helpful.

The dinner and breakfast was good. Not a good experience upon arrival from the front desk.

There were mny mosquitos in the room. For a junior suite, there it should be at leat 2 chair for the guest to sitdown. The entrance to the hotel should have more signs to facilitate new guest arrival.

The very spacious suite had all amenities we could ask for. The courteous staff, always friendly and professional, made us feel appreciated. Food was delicious and authentic.

The gym is in need of maintenance. If you know how to exercise, then you can work out with the limited equipment. It's not for people who want show off their branded sports gear.

Ich war schon mehrmals in diesem Hotel. Es gefällt mir immer wieder. Der historische Bau hat etwas besonderes. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und das Essen ist sehr gut. Ich komme wieder.

Habe persönlich keine negativen Punkte.

Loved the historical touches and the display room. The restaurants food was excellent and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Very unfriendly staff. The balcony was very dirty so were the windows. There is a bar right next to the hotel and the music was very loud until late.

Great place! We really enjoy these historical / cultural places and this one is outstanding. The design of the rooms and the common areas, someone been paying attention to all the details, great job! Staff nice and friendly, the room was comfy!

Cher pour la qualité des services et l’état du bâtiment. 1) La chambre est belle mais le lit n’est pas confortable. Les draps sont propres mais en dessous un surmatelas en duvet taché ainsi qu’un matelas plein de saletés. 2) La salle de bain est spacieuse mais toutes tuyauteries sont fragiles et le rideau de douche risque de tomber à tout moment de son socle en porte à faux. 3)La piscine est belle mais très peu d’espace pour s’y installer. Le plancher de la terrasse de la piscine est à refaire car le bois a pourri et les planches se décollent/cassent. 4) Hôtel très loin du centre à pied. En résumé bel hôtel avec beaucoup de potentiel mais très peu entretenu.

Hotel très accueillant, les extérieurs très jolis. Personnel serviable, sympathique.
