Blue Pillars Kandy

Zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel dat erg flexibel is en echt de “extra mile” wil gaan. Het ontbijt was zeer uitgebreid en erg lekker — zelfs het beste ontbijt dat we tot nu toe in Sri Lanka hebben gehad! Je kunt hier ook ’s avonds eten en ook dat was erg lekker. Bovendien heb je vanuit het restaurant een prachtig uitzicht over de stad. De kamer was zeer proper en de bedden waren comfortabel. We hebben hier ook onze was laten doen. Dit was wat duurder (6.500 LKR voor 4,5 kg), maar alles werd netjes gewassen, gedroogd en opgevouwen. Alles was volledig in orde. We hadden vooraf verhalen gehoord over wasserettes waar kleding beschadigd raakt, dus voor ons was deze iets hogere prijs zeker geen probleem.

Eigenlijk niets waar we aan kunnen denken. Eventueel de prijs/kg was vooraf communiceren. We hebben een zeer aangenaam verblijf gehad!

We had a fantastic stay at Blue Pillars Kandy. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. They made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The food was absolutely delicious, and we especially enjoyed having meals at the rooftop restaurant with its beautiful view over the city. The hotel itself is very cozy, quiet, and spotlessly clean, making it a perfect place to relax. The staff also organized a wonderful one-day tour around Kandy for us, which was a great experience and made our visit even more enjoyable. We truly appreciated the warm hospitality and would highly recommend Blue Pillars Kandy to anyone visiting the city. We would be happy to stay here again!

Struttura a 15 minuti di cammino dal centro città, in una posizione amena con spettacolare vista. Grande disponibilità da parte dello staff, cortesia e gentilezza. Ottima la colazione, consiglio anche di cenare. Un enorme grazie a Wasanti, che con discrezione ed empatia ha saputo regalarci bei momenti e consigliarci laddove necessario.

Very minor but the bins weren’t changed in the rooms which were quite full by the end of our stay, but like I say very very small detail.

The property was very close to the main town and the view from the room was amazing! Also the highlight was the breakfast that was served amazing spread in that price

Immerso nella natura e fuori dal traffico, ma allo stesso tempo questa struttura si trova a 5 minuti dal centro in tuk tuk. Personale molto gentile e disponibile , ottima colazione servita sulla magnifica terrazza.

Walking distance to the centre, hot water shower, lovely lady who works there, was able to find a direct bus to Ella and even arranged a lift to the bus station!!

Good location, close enough to walk into town but also very peaceful and quiet. Very helpful staff looked after us and made sure our short stay went very smoothly, helping with our onward travel, thank you!

Da es etwas ausserhalb liegt, konnte man dem Trubel der Stadt entkommen. Nachts war es sehr ruhig.

Das Bad könnte sauberer sein. Ausserdem funktionierte ein Lichtschalter nur bedingt.

Obwohl wir spät ankamen wurde sich gut um uns gekümmert. Es gab Tee zum ankommen und die Dachterrasse ist unbeschreiblich schön sowie der Ausblick. Sehr liebevoll eingerichtet mit blick fürs Detail. Frühstück war ein Schmaus. Köstlich Früchte und Kaffee und was das Herz sonst noch so begehrt. Wirklich liebevolle Menschen, ein Ort zum wohlfühlen!

Meine einheimischen Freunde waren nicht begeistert. Die Zimmer dunkel und der Frühstücksraum ein notdürftiger Raum mit Tischen und Stühlen. Der Parkplatz reichte gerade mal für 2 Tuk Tuks. Vom Blick auf die Stadt keine Spur. Wir haben uns eine andere Unterkunft gesucht

Such a fantastic place in every way! It's run by lovely people who always help with everything - delicious meals on the beautiful roof terrace,, transport, advice about Kandy etc. The rooms were really nice (clean and comfortable and quiet) and the whole place has a wonderful atmosphere. The location is great for the views and very easy for getting around Kandy. It's terrific value and we couldn't recommend it highly enough.

ホテルに着くと、まずその外観の可愛さに心が躍ります。すぐに優しいお母さんがお出迎えしてくれて、美味しい紅茶を入れてくれました。食事の場所は景色がよく、内装も映えてすごくいい場所です。 部屋も可愛く、ベッドはふかふか、何よりシャワーがスリランカで泊まった宿で1番温かかったです。経営している家族の方々は皆さんとても親切で、いつも優しい笑顔を向けてくれます。 キャンディの都心部から少し坂を登ったところにあるので、歩いて向かうと若干疲れますが徒歩圏内で立地もいいです。少し離れるおかげで静かでゆったり過ごせます。 朝食はフレッシュなフルーツにジュース、パン、卵と紅茶と盛り沢山で、美味しくてついパンをおかわりしてしまいました。

We stayed 2 nights with our 12 year old son. We felt very welcome by our hosts. The place is quiet with an amazing view from the room and the terrace where a wonderful breakfast was served. It is only 5 min by tuk tuk to reach the center of the city ( Tooth Temple/ lake/ Big Buddha temple ). Rooms are clean, comfortable and well maintained and furnished. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful.

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit in dem Hotel. Die Zimmer waren sauber und gut ausgestattet. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück auf der Terrasse war sehr schön und es wurde sogar extra vegane Optionen z.B für Milch organisiert. Auch das Abendessen ist nur zu empfehlen und eins der besten die wir auf unsere Reise hatten.

Lovely hotel, away from the chaos of Kandy centre but only a 5 minute (70p) tuk tuk ride away. The food was excellent... Breakfast ( 4 courses!) was different and delicious every day . We ate there twice in the evening aswell and had the best curry I've had so far in Sri Lanka! The owners were very helpful and answered all our queries, organised a car to take us to NuwaraEllia and even did our laundry inhouse. Can't fault this place and would recommend it to everyone.

Ci sono stato solo una notte, mi è sembrato un buon posto pulito dove alloggiare anche più giorni. Ma attenzione alla posizione, per quanto siano solo 5/600 metri dal centro vi servirebbe comunque un tuk tuk per muovervi per via della strada molto ripida e poco illuminata. Io l’ho fatta a piedi di sera e non vi consiglio di fare lo stesso. Colazione ottima, preparata al momento.

L'hôtel est très joliment décoré, les chambres étaient spacieuses et confortables. Pour une famille de 4, nous avions 2 chambres communicantes avec 2 salles de bains, parfait ! Le petit déjeuner sur la terrasse est très agréable, et la nourriture délicieuse et copieuse. Possibilité de dîner sur place, pratique car l'hôtel est un peu excentré. Établissement à recommander, très bon rapport qualité prix !

Un peu bruyant car nous étions dans la chambre à l'entrée, mais cela ne nous a pas énormément gênés.

El lugar es súper bonito, en mi opinión es la mejor opción si quieres quedarte en Kandy, porque estás metido en la naturaleza y a 15 minutos andando desde el centro. El personal es super amable, mi omitió comentar que es gluten free y no hubo problema en adaptar el desayuno. No ayudaron mucho, aconsejando sobre remedios naturales por el resfriado. Wasanthi nos ha explicado y atendido estupendamente al igual que Gayan siempre con una sonrisa y también los otros chicos muy amables y alegres. No dudes en acudir a ellos sin necesitas algo. Destaca también el lugar en sí muy limpio, muy bien decirados: plantas, muy linda energía. Se come muy bien y abundante. La verdad que no podría recomendar hotel mejor que este!!! Gracias por todo :)

Bardzo przyjemny hotel, pomocna i miła obsługa, hotel znajduje się blisko centrum, a widok z tarasu jest znakomity. Hotel serwuje bardzo smaczne śniadania. W pokojach czysto, w łazience czekał zestaw małych kosmetyków. Trochę niewygodny materac, ale poza tym hotel jest świetny.

The rooms are very nice, the bed is cozy and the bathroom was nice and clean. Very good hot shower! The view from the balcony is nice. Great breakfast and dinner. What really set our stay apart was the kindness of the hosts. We arrived in Kandy late at night because my wife was sick and needed to go to the hospital. I ended up staying at the hospital with her the first night. The hotel let me change our dates and didn’t charge me for that first night I had booked. When my wife was out of the hospital and back at the hotel they were so kind and gave her coconut juice to help her get better.

The staff were fabulous, very kind and speak good English.

A few more hooks to hang towels would be nice.

Super clean, friendly and generous. The breakfast was delicious, we even could learn how to make hopper! The host and the staff are wonderful.

Чудесный гостевой дом! Жили в комнате номер 1 на 1 этаже. Было тихо и чисто. Отличный wi-fi. Простирали и погладили нашу одежду. На крыше есть кафе. Открывается вид на город. По вечерам приятно там сидеть и смотреть на белую ступу. Готовят очень вкусно. Персонал душевный. Готовы помочь во всём. Спасибо этому дому! Если вернусь в Канди, то только сюда.

Wonderful, peaceful setting, fantastic roof terrace for breakfast and dinner, lovely staff. We really enjoyed our 4 nights here. Wasanthi, Gayan, and Sachi were really helpful and full of smiles. Wasanthi even got brown bread for me for breakfasts (diabetic). Communication was easy. Although within walking distance to the lake and Kandy Centre, the hotel is surrounded by greenery and quiet. It was great to “come home to” after a day’s tourism. The food was excellent, and eating on the roof a treat. We really appreciated the mid-stay change of towels and room clean.

Tesisten çıkış yaparken fiyatla ilgili bir problem yaşadık ama hiç diretmeden bizim lehimize sorunu çözüp problemi ortadan kaldırdılar. Bir daha gelsem burayı tercih eder miyim? Kesinlikle! Son olarak bizimle sürekli ilgilenen, sorularımıza kibarlıkla cevap veren Dayan'a teşekkür ederim.

Personale molto gentile. Colazione abbondante e struttura davvero molto accogliente. Letti comodi e aria condizionata ottima. Ci siamo trovati molto bene. Il Punto forte è la terrazza panoramica dove si fa colazione perché ti permette di immergerti nella natura.

A lovely small hotel with a friendly welcome. Convenient for the city centre but far enough out to be calm and quiet. The rooms are comfortable, and there's a fine view from the restaurant terrace. Food is great too, and they do laundry at a very reasonable price.

The host or the individual helping us throughout the stay was amazing. He definitely was doing the above and beyond. He helped us with nearby attractions, provided us a great Tamil style dinner and breakfast!

A 20 minute walk from the town centre, the room was clean and in good condition with a balcony to sit out on. The best thing about this place was the breakfast, always served fresh. The evening meal was good as well.

Hiukan kaukana keskustasta. Erittäin jyrkkä mäki majoituspaikkaan. Sen kiipeäminen ja myös jyrkät portaat ravintolaan haasteellisia, jos liikuntakyky rajoittunut. Minulle ei ongelma. Ei omaa, eristettyä parveketta. Ikkunoista ei nähnyt ulos. Pihalta kuuluvat lähtevät kuljetukset ja koirien räksytys herättivät aikaisin. Aamiaiselle tulo-aika piti ilmoittaa etukäteen. Varauksessa kerrottiin, että mastercard-kortit käyvät. Varmistin asian vielä edellispäivänä. Joten en ollut nostanut riittävästi käteistä Kortit eivät kuitenkaan käyneet. Lukuisia yrityksiä 2 eri kortilla. Varattu kuljettajani jo odotti. Majoituspaikat Sri Lankassa hyväksyvät myös dollareita. Niitä minulla oli, mutta nekään eivät käyneet. Omistajan mukaan setelit liian pieniä ja osa "vanhentuneita." Olin kuitenkin vaihtanut ne 4 pv aiemmin virallisella rahanvaihtopisteellä lentokentällä. Piti siis lähteä kuljettajan kanssa hakemaan lisää rahaa. 1. automaatti ei toiminut. Onneksi kuljettaja oli kärsivällinen.

un po’ defilato dal centro, l’hotel non è nuovo ma la stanza era comunque molto grande e ospitale! presenti frigo, bollitore, acqua calda, condizionatore e ventola. colazione molto abbondante in un terrazzo con una bella vista panoramica, ma soprattutto personale estremamente disponibile e cordiale.

per chi ha il sonno leggero effettivamente gli infissi non sono certo insonorizzati, ma noi non abbiamo sentito rumori particolarmente disturbanti
