Esperienza eccellente. Struttura molto tranquilla con camere pulitissime e un'ottima colazione. Il personale è incredibilmente cortese e disponibile per ogni necessità, compresa la gestione dei trasferimenti. Consigliatissimo!

Notre hôte était super sympa , d’une gentillesse incroyable. La maison est juste magnifique très bien situé, le prix est vraiment raisonnable.Si vous cherchez une chambre pour quelques jours foncé .

Nous avons passé une nuit très agréable à Mount Haven. Les hôtes sont adorables, nous ont accueilli très chaleureusement et nous ont aidé à organiser notre séjour ! La chambre était propre, spacieuse et avec une très belle vue. Merci beaucoup !!

Our stay at the apartment was excellent. The apartment was clean, well-maintained, and equipped with everything we needed. We especially loved the beautiful view, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The hosts were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always happy to help. They made us feel right at home, and we would gladly stay here again. We highly recommend this accommodation!🙏

Grande maison de famille, nous avions les deux chambres à l'étage. Chambres très propres et lumineuses avec de grandes fenêtres. Ventilateur à la place de la climatisation, efficace et moins de bruit. Éloigné du centre agité de Kandy. Propriétaires accueillants qui nous ont donné des adresses de restaurants et nous ont permis de dîner dans la salle à manger : soir de pleine lune, tout était fermé, seul un restaurant indien nous a fourni des plats à emporter.

Aucun volet et pas de rideau à une fenêtre : pensez à prendre un masque pour dormir J'avais réservé pour 5, nous avions deux chambres avec deux lits doubles. Nécessairement, il fallait un troisième lit que les propriétaires ont installé à notre arrivée...et qu'ils nous ont fait payer (5000 roupies) !! Éloigné du centre ville, il faut un tuk tuk si vous voulez ressortir le soir.

The view from the balcony is wonderful, the room is spacious and the host is warm and welcoming with lots of recommendations. We could borrow their scooter for a small fee whilst stayed. The price is very good for the warm hostility I received. I would happily stay again.

Change polyester sheets for cotton ones and have darker curtains.

Sehr nettes Ehepaar, bei dem wir uns direkt wie Zuhause gefühlt haben. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und geräumig. Das Haus ist wunderschön und auch die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück, welches frisch zubereitet wird ist auch sehr lecker. Wir können es jedem wärmstens empfehlen!

Tucked away from the bustle of the main road and approached through a few winding roads, Mount Haven offers a truly peaceful hilltop retreat. And the moment you arrive and meet the warm hosts - Dr. Nimal and his lovely wife - you instantly know you’ve found a special place. The views from the property are absolutely breathtaking, especially if you opt for the balcony room, which allows you to soak in the landscape right from your doorstep. The caretaker, who also doubles up as the chef, is extremely helpful and attentive. Breakfast here is prepared with genuine care and warmth, adding to the homely charm of the stay. The rooms are comfortable, and thanks to the elevated location, the surroundings remain pleasantly cool. The terrace is a wonderful spot for bird lovers, with plenty of bird activity in the mornings. A serene, welcoming homestay that offers both warmth and wonderful views.

Mount Haven is an excellent place to stay. The property is amazing with great bedrooms and amazing views. It is extremely well maintained and the owners are very polite and courteous. Location is a little tricky to reach to but Google Maps came in very handy. Overall we enjoyed our stay here. Thank You.

The rooms are in a huge family house on top of the mountain. We lived in a room on the second floor. The apartment itself is a bit further away from the city center, which was great for us as it is further away from all of the noise and chaos which Kandy brings. As well as the tuktuk costs only 400-500 rupees from the city. So, it didn’t cause any discomfort. The room itself was clean and had lovely views to the nature. Hosts were really sweet and gave us great recommendations. We also had great breakfast here. The selection might look smaller compared to other stays, but that was just enough for us to feel full and start the day. If needed, the host could easily arrange the ride to Nuwara Eliya, however, we’ve got the ride on our own.

Terrific value. The room we stayed in was large with a beautiful balcony. Dr Nimal and his family are charming hosts keen for you to enjoy your stay and get the most from Kandy. We turned up with a driver and Dr Nimal organised a room for him too which we appreciated. We were supplied with a good fan and mosquito netting and had no problems and slept very well. The house is fascinating and perched high up in the suburbs of Kandy. Nice breakfasts too - lovely homemade rotis, for example. Overall we loved our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

My family and I had an extraordinary stay at Mount Haven. Located high in the serene villa neighborhood of Asgiriya, this home offers the perfect balance of luxury and authentic warmth. The hosts, Dr. Nimal and Mrs. Lanka, treated us like their own family from the moment we arrived late at night. Their home is designed with exquisite taste. We were welcomed with a refreshing drink and they even helped organize a late-night dinner delivery for us. Their staff was wonderful, handling our luggage with care. Mrs. Lanka is a master of Sri Lankan cuisine; her breakfasts were delicious, and she so kindly shared her recipes with us. Dr. Nimal, was incredibly attentive, even providing medical guidance and care when we needed it—a gesture we deeply appreciated. A huge thanks to the house driver, Dammiker. His vast knowledge of local culture, botany, and hidden spots made our trips so much richer. He is much more than a driver; he is a fantastic guide. The rooms were perfect: comfortable beds, hot water in the bathroom, and massive windows that allowed us to enjoy the fresh breeze and perfect light. If you are visiting Kandy, this is the place to stay!"

"While our overall experience was wonderful, there are a few small details that could help future guests: Finding the Villa: Since the house is located in a quiet, high-altitude area, it can be a bit challenging to find for the first time, especially if you arrive after dark. It would be very helpful if the hosts could send a precise Google Maps location or GPS coordinates via WhatsApp to guests prior to arrival. Room Description: We noticed that the room size listed on Booking.com might benefit from an update to more accurately reflect the actual space, ensuring expectations are perfectly aligned. Hot Water Tip: For those who enjoy a very hot shower on cooler Kandy nights: the bathroom is equipped with an instant water heater. To maintain a consistently high temperature, we found it best to keep the water flow at a moderate/gentle pressure; this allows the heater to work most effectively without the water cooling down. These are just minor points to help make an already great stay even more seamless!"

バワ建築が好きでスリランカへ来ているなら、このゲストハウスも気に入ると思います。決して華美ではないし便利とも言えませんが建物のデザインや使われている素材、設えが価格以上の品質だと思います。オーナーが集めた調度品も素敵です。オーナー夫妻はご高齢のようにお見受けしましたがとても親切で優しかったです。お手伝いの方も笑顔で接してくれました。犬もかわいかったです。部屋に用意された水がガラス瓶に入っていたり(問題なく飲めました)、石鹸置きが貝殻だったりセンスが良いです。

素晴らしい展望と引き換えに、街からは離れています。なので宿を拠点に何度も観光に出るよりは、宿の中でゆっくり過ごす方が向いていると思います。現金決済のみです。

Nimal & Lanka were the most wonderful hosts. Their house is beautiful and our room was divine & comfortable with exceptional views. They offered a very homely stay, would love to come back & visit again ❤️ breakfast was incredible also!

I have stayed with Nimal and Lanka several times before (and so has my daughter, separately, in 2025). Always welcoming, helpful, chatty but never intrusive. They are well travelled and simply enjoy the pleasure of hosting. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. And it's very good value too.

Sehr gut! Das Zimmer war sauber und geräumig. Die Familie wirklich nett und zuvorkommend. Wir haben uns gefühlt als würden wir in einer kleinen Burg übernachten. Die Lage war recht zentral und doch sehr ruhig.

オーナー夫妻のマリアさんとランカさん、そしてお手伝いさんもとても親切でいつも気にかけてくれる英国風のとても素敵な雰囲気の宿です。わたしは本館の2階に泊まりましたが、清潔でかわいくまとめられ、お湯も出てすべて満足しました。宿はキャンディの中心地から離れた山にあるので、とても静かです。毎朝リスと鳥をルーフトップからゆっくり眺めてリラックスしました。2泊しましたが、朝食のメニューが1日目と2日目で違いました。この宿のココナッツロティとビドゥは最高でした。なにより、わたしはこの宿で友達ができました。彼女の名前はベラです。6歳半の女の子の犬で、撫でるとお腹を見せてくれます。また絶対に来ます。

Alles was fantastisch!! Ik lees zelf veel review voordat ik iets boek, en het maakt me altijd sceptisch als ik een review lees waarbij alles positief is. Dit gezegd hebbende…. Dit was echt alléén maar fijn: hier voelde ik mij welkom, veilig zelfs een beetje thuis? De kamer is geweldig en het ontbijt is het beste dat ik tot nu toe in Sri Lanka heb gehad. Ik heb hier heel goed geslapen, net buiten de stadsdrukte van Kandy. Dat is het volgende punt: de locatie. Ik had er bewust voor gekozen om niet in het centrum te overnachten, en hoewel ik Kandy een erg leuke stad vond, was dit inderdaad een goede keus. Na een dagje op pad te zijn geweest, is het heerlijk om in zo’n oase van rust te kunnen terugkomen. Op de heenweg liep ik vaak naar beneden (6/7 minuutjes max) en dan kwam je daar (of onderweg al) een tuktuk tegen die je kon vragen om je naar het centrum te brengen. 300/350 roepies als je flink afdingt. Voor de terugweg deed ik hetzelfde of boekte ik een Uber/PickMe (die kun je niet vanaf het hotel boeken). Rit duurt zo’n 5-8 minuten dus top. Dikke vette bonuspunt omdat Bella (de hond) zo’n lieverd is. Als je ook een rustige plek zoekt in Kandy met lieve mensen die als een soort opa en oma aanvoelen vanaf de eerste seconde, boek dan gewoon deze homestay… Zeker als je een alleen reizende vrouw bent in Sri Lanka: ik heb me nog nooit zo prettig gevoeld in een verblijf. Al met al super, en dat voor die prijs.. Veeeel dank!!!! 🙏

Stanze ampie in un contesto naturale meraviglioso a 10 minuti dal centro città. Bagni puliti e buona colazione dolce e salata! Accoglienza calorosa come se stessimo in famiglia. Assolutamente consigliato.

I proprietari sono due persone eccezionali: ci hanno accolto come in famiglia e sono stati molto disponibili. La struttura è molto bella, immersa nel verde su una collinetta poco distante dal centro della città ( raggiungibile in tuk tuk ma anche a piedi con una bella passeggiata). Colazione super abbondante e molto buona. Super consigliato!!

Nous étions au rez de chaussée et nous avions pas la meilleure chambre. La chambre aurait besoin d'une amélioration dans le confort. L'emplacement est un peu loin du centre ville 20 min et les tuk tuk ont dû mal a trouver la maison

The rooms and location were as described - very good! The hosts are exceptionally friendly and welcoming, they helped us with many organizational questions (also had very good tips/suggestions). The breakfast was great, and it was also so pleasant to converse with our hosts. They treated us like family, and we are so grateful that they shared their home with us!

Nothing much....the place was splendid

I had the most wonderful stay at Mount Haven in Kandy. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warm hospitality and felt instantly at home. The location is perfect—tucked away in the hills, offering peaceful surroundings and breathtaking views over Kandy. The room was spotless, spacious, and thoughtfully designed, with a very comfortable bed and all the amenities I needed. Waking up to birdsong and mist-covered hills was a dream. Breakfast was delicious—fresh, generous portions, and served with a smile. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect throughout my stay. Whether you’re visiting Kandy for culture, nature, or simply to relax, I can’t recommend Mount Haven enough. A true hidden gem! What I like the most is the host, they are very nice, and their dog “Bella” is also lovely. Hope to have a chance to visit Kandy and stay here again.

The plug socket in the shower was a bit questionable.

坐在阳台吹凉风，能看到远处的山雾缭绕，小松鼠在电线杆爬过，小鸟在屋顶停留，老鹰在天空飞翔，如歌唱般的鸟叫声和青蛙声此起彼伏，空气很清新，让人的心灵异常平静。房子设计和摆设很有格调，还含丰盛早餐，房主非常友善。二楼有两个房间，一定要选择带阳台的豪华房，空间比另一间普通的大很多。

아침식사는 하푸텔라 기차 시간 8시30분 떄문에 샌드위치 포장으로 사모님께서 준비 해주셔서 기차에서 아침을 했습니다 분위기는 가정집 분위기 입니다 1층 2층으로 되어 있습니다 위치는 캔디 제일 산위에 위치하고 있습니다 시내에서 툭툭으로 max 500루피 (1500원) 나옵니다 저는 2년전 저 혼자 이숙소 2층에 숙박을 하고 뷰가 좋아서 다시 제 와이프와 2층숙소에서 숙박을 했습니다 이 숙소 사장님 이신분이 의사인데요 자제분들이 모두 미국 호주에 사시고 사모님과 두분이서 이곳을 운영 하시는거 같아요 항상 오래 건강 하셨으면 합니다

숙소가 캔디 언덕 꼭대기에 있기에 위치합니다 저는 좋았는데 다른 분들은 몰라서요 에어콘은 없어요 냉장고는 식당 주인집 냉장고 사용합니다 숙소에서 5분 10분 내 시내 툭툭 이로 다녀 올수 있어요 사장님 사모님에게 말씀하시면 바로 툭툭이 불러 주십니다 걱정 마세요

ホームステイのような感覚、ホストからの優しさと思いやりを感じたいならここがおすすめです！ シンプルで心地のいい、静かで平和な滞在でした。 キャンディの街中まではトゥクトゥクで10分もかかりません。 ホストのマリアと奥様はすごく素敵な方で、 ご家族の写真や訪れた国々の思い出の品が飾っているのは間違いなく素敵なファミリーの証です！滞在中はいつでも気にかけてくれました。 マリアはかつて日本に住んでいたこともあり私たちは日本の話題で盛り上がりました。 朝ごはんはリクエストすれば、奥様が用意してくださいます。 部屋にはドライヤーやシャンプーなどのアメニティはありませんので、持参してください。 タオルと石鹸がありました。 窓から見える景色は美しいので、朝は鳥たちの鳴き声を聞きながらバルコニーでゆっくり過ごせたこともよかったです。 次回来ることがあれば是非戻ってきたいです。

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour chez Nimal et Lanka, un couple très gentil et très chaleureux. Chambre agréable, propre, et avec une vue magnifique sur la nature. C'était fantastique de se réveiller avec les oiseaux chaque matin

A very welcoming homestay run by a senior couple and their cute dog Bella. They made us feel at home right away. We had great conversations during the stay. The house is beautiful in a secluded area. The room we stayed in had nice view with lots of greens around. The room size was huge with a beautiful balcony. Breakfast was sumptuous too.

Nothing really. The approach road is a bit narrow and steep, so if you are driving yourself that's something you need to consider.

Bardzo rodzinna atmosfera, pokój czysty i świetnie przygotowany (łóżeczko dla dziecka z moskitierą). Właściciel pomaga w organizacji dnia i transportu (kierowca na cały dzień i transport na lotnisko również w nocy w bardzo dobrej cenie). Bardzo dobre śniadanie. Pokój pozostawał do dyspozycji przez cały kolejny dzień aż do wyjazdu na lotnisko (lotnisko w nocy). Podsumowując świetny stosunek jakości do ceny. Polecam zwłaszcza dla rodzin z dziećmi w różnym wieku.

The room we stayed was not the one we booked from the picture. Not airy and bright as we hoped.

While the hosts were nice, the room wasn’t what we expected from the photos. We stayed in one of the downstairs rooms (the first room to the right as you enter the house) - I don’t know if only the seemingly nicer, upstairs rooms are pictured in this listing and that’s why we were deceived. There was a big damp patch and mould in one of the corners of the room, and also in the bathroom. On our last morning, my girlfriend realised that the towel she’d been using during our stay looked like it had been used to clean a car previously (!) It was covered in horrible, dark stains, and I wish we’d noticed earlier because it left a very bad taste! I don’t know how anyone could think it’s acceptable to leave a towel like that for a guest.

La habitación tenía un ventanal precioso por el que entraba una luz muy agradable. El desayuno variado y de con productos de buena calidad. Un alojamiento recomendable para una visita de pocos días a la ciudad. Al estar dentro de la vivienda de los propietarios no lo recomendaría si la estancia es más larga.

No me gustó que a la habitación se entraba directamente por el salón /comedor de la casa.

The owners were friendly and helpful. Had breakfast ready for when we needed it. It wasn't far from the city centre but steep for tuk tuks but they still do the job. There was a situation where we were locked out and the door bell wasn't working at first pressed 3times. We knocked and there was nothing. Then my husband tried and typically it worked and we were let in .

The resort had a dog kept within the premises, with its food and water bowls placed on the floor. This led to saliva and food particles spreading on the ground, making the floor seem unclean. Additionally, the ground-floor room lacked privacy, as the owner lived in the same space. Another point to note is that the owner offered an expensive city tour package, which seemed unreasonable.

Sehr schöne, britisch angehauchte Unterkunft. Es wurde sich gut um uns gekümmert, das Frühstück war lecker & uns wurde direkt ein Roller zum ausleihen organisiert. Alles sehr unkompliziert.

Vor allem die Badewanne/Dusche hätte sauberer sein können. Wir hätten uns Pflegeprodukte, z.B. Duschgel gewünscht.

This absolutely beautiful room blew us away, the windows are huge giving incredible views and light throughout the room. I sat in bed at sunrise and watched the monkeys eating jackfruit in the trees. The location is great, we walked into town even though we had our own tuktuk. The owners are so welcoming and kind, we felt so well looked after.

We would have loved a Sri Lankan savoury breakfast, it's not for everyone but we'd have loved to give a preference that we'd have been very happy with curry for breakfast.

Na een lange tocht met de tuk tuk was het aangenaam aan te komen op een mooie rustige locatie op een heuvel temidden van het drukke Kandy. De zeer ruime kamer met balkon biedt je een mooi uitzicht. De eigenaar is zeer vriendelijk en gaf meteen een aantal tips voor activiteiten in de omgeving. Het ontbijt is uitgebreid en wordt geserveerd in de leefruimte van de host.

Me and my family have stayed at this guest house 3 times now and will continue to do so every time we return to Sri Lanka. This time I returned with my partner Mattia. I, myself, am gluten and lactose intolerant and Lanka, always made a beautiful breakfast that I could eat. They truly want only the best for their guests and will go above and beyond to make sure you have the best stay. But truly, their driver Lalith is an incredible man. He made our trip to Sri Lanka and we cannot recommend him enough for his kindness, honesty and time. For 3 days from 8am to 8pm he took to a variety of destinations from temples to waterfalls to tea plantations and cooking classes. Thank you for opening your wonderful home to us Nimal and Lanka- we hope to see you soon!

We had a lovely stay at Mount Haven. We were welcomed with a juice which we enjoyed. Our host was very kind and helpful by arranging activities and transportation. The bed was comfortable and we had warm water for the shower.

The bed linens and towels were clean, but the room could have been a little bit cleaner, especially the little mats on the floor.

It was quiet, removed from town and a pleasant retreat. The owners are incredibly friendly and generous hosts
