The hotel's location is decent and it is just a short walk from the town's main pedestrian street. The staff provided very good service.

The hotel is in need of maintenance, rooms and public areas are not cleaned well enough. The photos do not show the actual condition of the hotel at all, and the price is too high compared to the quality.

Great location right at the edge of all of the hustle and bustle of town without being right in the middle of it. Everything was within a 10 minute walk. Our room was very spacious with a large balcony and an amazing view. Breakfast was good - all of the basics you would expect.

1. Poor WIFI (moderate inconvenience). 2. The air conditioning in our room was insufficient. We were "comfortable" in the room at best but it was never cold enough for us. When coming back to our room from being out, the temperature change felt so good for a few minutes but then as you acclimated to it, it didn't really feel cool anymore. The dial on the wall was set as low as it would go and it sounded like it was running 24x7 so unsure if it just isn't powerful enough or what. (moderate inconvenience) 3. The shower did not drain properly (minor inconvenience). 4. We could not unlock one of our sliding glass doors (minor inconvenience as there was another sliding glass door that was functional). 5. No USB plugs. For this price and in today's world, this is expected. (minor inconvenience)

The location is tricky to find, and with 8 large pieces of luggage it was a journey. There is only 1 elevator that has makeshift ramps made-but not the best method for those traveling heavy.

The view was amazing over looking the pool and sea. The room was quite spacious for the 3 of us. The outdoor pool was lovely.

The shower door kept leaking which meant water went all over the bathroom floor. The pillows were pretty solid!

We had such a wonderful experience - breakfast was excellent, rooms and views were stunning, staff went above and beyond to organise trips, taxis and recommendations for us. We loved it!

I really liked the views from the room as we got a free upgrade with a better view which was good. The staff were really nice especially Nino the pool/maintenance and the 2 Antonio’s who work by the pool and by the bar they are the all the best staff I’ve ever came across on a holiday.

- Un seul ascenseur pour 90 chambres - 50 transats pour 90 chambres - Chambre ne correspondait pas a l'arrivée (place pour 2 personnes et non 3 comme demandé, mais après négociations, le problème a été résolu. - Infrastructure vieillotte - Personnel assez hautain quand il se rend compte que vous n'avez pas droit au petit déjeuner car vous êtes passé par booking, du moment où je le paie, je ne vois pas où est le problème, je n'ai rien volé à personne.

The location and view were beautiful, and having a balcony was a great feature. The hotel arranged our airport transfer, which was helpful.

the room was not very clean: there were stains, ants, a rusty shower drain, and the balcony furniture was very dirty. The reception staff were generally lovely, except for the gentleman at check-in, who was quite rude.

Views to die for along the coast & up to Etna! A beautiful pool & a breakfast room with sweeping views. Our room was spacious including a large walk in robe, sofa & big bathroom. Lovely balcony that we enjoyed relaxing on & soaking in the sunset views. A short but steep walk gets you right in the middle of everything. A fabulous stay in amazing Taormina!

Generell fand ich das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht in Ordnung. Das Bad war zum Beispiel mit Duschgel, Conditioner und Shampoo ausgestattet. Nur leider war die Shampoo Flasche leer, aber wirklich leer.

Bello, pulito, panorama spettacolare, posizione ottima, letti comodissimi, piscina curata e ben organizzata. Ma la cosa migliore è stata la colazione, al settimo piano con una vista da togliere il fiato. Tutto buono, tutto freschissimo. Una menzione speciale per Rita Rosaria e Marco che se ne occupano con una cura verso il cliente che non avevo mai incontrato prima. È stato come fare colazione a casa. Grazie, grazie, grazie! Vera

Taormina ist teuer und das Eurostars ist verhältnismäßig günstig zu bekommen. Die Lage an den Klippen ist super, in 2 Minuten zu Fuß ist man im Zentrum der Stadt.

Das Hotel ist enorm in die Jahre gekommen, die Fliesen im Badezimmer reißen, die Instandhaltung ist mäßig bis schlecht, die Sauberkeit endenwollend und die Klimaanlage im Zimmer kennt nur On/off und quält sich bei Sommertemperaturen merklich.

The location is excellent-everything within a few mins walk. Albeit up a very steep hill when you step foot out of the hotel! The pool is excellent and there’s always loungers available and fresh pool towels daily. The staff at the pool and bar were lovely too. Didn’t use the restaurant so can’t comment on that. We stayed in a junior suite and had an extra single bed added - and there was more than enough space for the four of us (my wife and I plus our 2 boys 14 and 12). The balcony has spectacular views - but it was so hot out there when we stayed we barely used it. For the location it’s very reasonably priced - especially for Taormina! Overall, although it’s not luxurious it was more than sufficient for our 5 night stay. We would stay again.

Reception staff were a little bit uncharismatic. The room facilities were a little tired, but nothing too terrible. Only one lift to cover all 8 floors, so can take a while during busy times. It’s also very hot in the lift and the corridor to wait for the lift. The hill up to town is steep - so may be a challenge for less abled people. It’s difficult not to be sweating when you reach the top, especially with the scorching temperatures outside!

Крім того, для чотиризіркового готелю стан номера був неприйнятним. Стіни були потріскані, місцями з ознаками вологи та плісняви, що створювало відчуття занедбаності. У приміщенні також був неприємний запах, через що перебування не можна було назвати комфортним. Очікування від готелю цієї категорії були значно вищими. На жаль, реальний стан номерів не відповідає заявленому рівню та фотографіям на сайті. За ту ціну, яку ми заплатили, сервіс і якість проживання були абсолютно невиправданими. Не рекомендую цей готель тим, хто очікує отримати те, що бачить під час бронювання.

I’ve been pondering about what rating to give this hotel based on our experience. Following another trip, I have to say that this is just an average stay and didn’t quite feel worth the money we paid. The cons from our visit started with not having a room. We were told we were due tomorrow. In fairness, this was rectified and we were given free drinks (although this did take 2 hours and we had to check if the room was ready.) We weren’t given a reason, much of an apology or help with the bags. The balcony is the real downside. The pigeon poo is horrid. And if you want to enjoy some crisps out there, be prepared to have said pigeons trying to share! There also isn’t much privacy between you and next door, just a couple of planters. The cleanliness of the room wasn’t great too. There was quite a bit of dust and the floors didn’t appear to have been swept since we arrived as our feet constantly needed brushing. The other irritation was the shower. The bath isn’t wide enough to stand comfortably as the tap is in the way. We were also left without any shower gel for 24 hours. Location-wise, it’s excellent for Taormina but upon reflection, I would have stayed in Catania. The crowds were relentless and this was only early May. Speaking to a local, White Lotus has created an influx of fans. The plus sides of the hotel were the pool area which has plenty of sun loungers. Shout out to Antonio who was super friendly and looked after us - we always had a little chat when we saw him. Breakfast was nice. Availability of fresh mugs would have been helpful, but otherwise there was a great selection of food and a local stand. You get great views too. Other than the points above, the room was comfy and quiet.

The staff were all friendly and welcoming — special thanks to Fabrizio for the warm reception. The roads in Taormina are winding and hilly, making driving quite challenging, but the hotel offered valet parking for our rental car, which was a relief. (Paid parking) The room was clean and the shower had great water pressure with good temperature. The view from the room was absolutely stunning. Breakfast was delicious as well. The location was ideal — the cable car station, the main dining area, and the town center were all within easy walking distance.

The steep slope leading down to the hotel entrance is no joke — you work up a sweat just stepping outside and climbing back up. The good news is you get used to it within a couple of days. Getting to the beach is a bit of a trek, but if you look into it, there is a paid shuttle service available.

De locatie is perfect! Midden in het centrum van Taormina en ook vlakbij (5 minuten lopen) het amfitheater. Er ligt een mooi park naast het hotel. Het uitzicht is fenomenaal. Alle kamers kijken op de zee. Ook ‘s nachts is dit een prachtig vergezicht. Het ontbijt was erg uitgebreid en ook met een mooi uitzicht. Behulpzaam en vriendelijk personeel. Het zwembad is royaal. Genoeg bedjes ook. Uitzicht is prachtig.

Wij vinden de kamers en de gangen wel wat ongezellig. Ook de terrassen ogen ongezellig. Veel ruw beton. Kamers gedateerd, jaren ‘80, maar wel brandschoon. Die ongezelligheid doet best wat afbreuk aan het geheel. Ook parkeren is lastig in de omgeving, maar gelukkig konden wij bij een kleine garage onze auto stallen voor 25€ per dag.

The location was great for exploring Taormina and for views of the water. The staff member checking us out was lovely to deal with and very helpful organising transport to our next hotel.

The hotel did not meet my expectations for a 4-star property. While the location and some aspects of the stay were fine, the overall standard of cleanliness and maintenance was disappointing. The bed sheets had visible holes in them, which immediately gave a poor impression of the room’s upkeep. The balcony also appeared not to have been cleaned for some time, with visible dirt and debris present throughout my stay. The bathroom was particularly frustrating. The shower door was extremely stiff to open and close, and even when closed properly, water leaked onto the bathroom floor during every use. The shower itself felt very cramped, and the wall-mounted soap dispensers further reduced the usable space. Overall, the room felt tired and poorly maintained, and I do not feel that the quality matches what I would expect from a hotel advertised as 4-star accommodation. Based on my experience, I do not think the current rating accurately reflects the standard of the property.

We have just returned home from a week stay at this hotel, the staff were lovely and all round it was a pleasant experience. The hotel is a perfect location for exploring Taormina. The hotel could do with some updating and it is slightly run down in some places. A mattress was left in the corridor leading to our bedroom for the duration of the stay which did take away from the experience. I would stay at this hotel again but If returning to Taormina I will likely see what else is available first.

I am extremely disappointed with my stay at the Eurostars Monte Tauro. Considering that I paid more than USD 500 per night, I expected a level of comfort and service consistent with that price point. Instead, I was repeatedly awakened at 8:00 a.m. by an unbearable noise coming from what appeared to be maintenance machinery operating within the hotel. I reported this issue to the staff several times, yet they seemed completely indifferent. Even worse, I was repeatedly told that the problem had already been solved when it clearly had not. Being misled by hotel staff is unacceptable under any circumstances. Another completely inconceivable issue for a hotel charging these rates was the bathroom. Every time we took a shower, the bathroom flooded because the shower enclosure was not properly sealed. It is astonishing that a hotel in this price category appears unable to implement such a basic solution to prevent guests from slipping and potentially suffering a serious injury. As an additional matter of basic cleanliness, both the outdoor chairs and sun loungers were covered in pigeon droppings, suggesting that these areas are not cleaned with any reasonable frequency. What is most frustrating is that none of these issues were ever resolved despite my repeated complaints. The only conclusion I can draw is that my concerns were simply ignored. The combination of excessive noise, misleading responses from staff, inadequate maintenance, poor cleanliness standards, and the complete lack of effective action has made this one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I have had in years. At this price point, there are far better options in Taormina. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Also when we asked the reception to book an extra night since she told us late check out was unavailable she asked us for euro 400 and through booking the rate was euro 281. TOTAL RIP OFF

Location was excellent and as described in the listing.

I don’t like writing generally negative reviews, but it’s important to understand that there are several great things about this hotel but also many things that we did not like at all. On the plus side, the location is solid, the view spectacular, the included breakfast one of the best we’ve experienced in Europe. The pool area is great, the room size and room amenities adequate. On the negative side with the exception of the seventh floor (breakfast area) and the eighth floor (the lobby) the windows are dirty and with the exception of the pool area the outside is extremely unkempt and dirty. And the patio of our room was filthy with bird crap everywhere (be sure to see the photos) and our awning was disgustingly covered with bird crap (see photos). Also on the negative side there’s only one elevator for a nine story property and a steep and long road that you have to navigate to get in and out of the hotel. We stayed six nights with the first two on our own ahead of a tour. We paid $1000 for a “premier Seaview“ and when I made the reservation, I told them that if possible, we didn’t want to change rooms on the day we transitioned and became part of our tour group. On check-in I reminded them of my email and this request and could that they told us that it could “be a problem“ but “will work on it“ and later they gave us room 211 with a filthy balcony and a disgusting canopy (see photos) - the patio was so bad my wife wouldn’t use the outside patio area. And on this lower floor our “premium seaview”was partially obstructed. And one of the three window panels had moisture on the inside so you couldn’t see out of it. The first morning after checking in I went to the front desk and asked him to please clean the patio. When we returned to the hotel several hours later, there was no evidence that they had with the same disgusting pigeon crap on the patio wall and floors. And by the way, the patio furniture has seen better days! My wife said to mention that she thought the rooms needed some tender, loving care. I feel like Eurostar, the hotel owners, should shut this place down for a month and bring in some crews to do a major deep clean of the outside. I think the photos I will share capture the reason we were so terribly disappointed in this property. As I said there are amazing views, the pool area very nice and the included breakfast excellent but the rest of the hotel was a pretty sad sack situation. I did respond to the hotels request for a survey by asking for some consideration on the rate they charged us in view of the lower level floor (not to mention the general condition of the patio area). And we certainly did not get a “premium Seaview“. Still haven’t heard back from them. Check out the photos.

This hotel is a very specific experience and you should know the pros and cons before choosing it. Pros: outstanding view from your balcony on most floors, quality comfortable beds, clean, quiet, very close location to the main part of Taormina, excellent breakfast buffet with fresh food, decent self serve espresso machines, friendly staff and great views, good water pressure and temperature, strong A/C when needed, ample free bottled water delivered to your room every day, strong wifi signal in our room. Cons: the access road to the hotel is short, but very steep and you will be walking up and down it every time you leave the hotel. Some taxis won't drive down. There is one small elevator for all floors so we climbed 5 flights of stairs quite a few times. The room decor is very dated: think cross between 80's dorm room and hostel. The extra mattresses in the hall didn't help the ambience. It also took us a minute to realize the rock decor on our hallway (floor 3) was actually the cliff side the hotel is built in to. There is no restaurant on site for evening meals. Limited closet/drawer space. The biggest con for us was a treacherous bathtub/ shower combo where the tub bottom is not wide enough for two normal size feet to stand on and it is slippery. Every shower felt like a dare. Still, for the price the location can't be beat. We would likely stay here again for all the pros, but only as long as everyone in our party was safely able to navigate the location.

Beautiful views of the Mediterranean Sea from the large balconies of each room, the rooms were big, and we were close to the town center of Taormina. Breakfast has a nice variety but there is no egg or omelet station. The pool is big with a nice sitting area.

The Euro Stars - Taormina is 50 yrs old and shows it. Our bathroom door wouldn't close & shower leaked water all over the floor, some electrical sockets were loose, and none were updated. Wallpaper is peeling & paint is fading everywhere. Worse, the hotel is built into a cliff with extremely limited access for cars & buses and most are forced to park at the top of a hill and walk down a 30-degree incline that's 200 feet to the hotel, as are guests waking into town. There's no way to avoid this horrible access and we found no help with luggage either. On departure, our car could not access the hotel, and we were forced to carry 7 pieces of luggage up the hill with no assistance whatsoever. The single elevator is also inadequate to service the hotel as my wife was forced to use the service elevator to reach the lobby. At check out, we discovered the hotel over charged us but couldn't figure out how to reimburse us.

errori sul sito internet dell’hotel, disagio dopo aver constatato che l’indirizzo riportato sul sito dell’hotel è errato, che il centralino internazionale della catena Eurostars fatica a capire e parlare l’italiano, che Booking non mi ha avvisato che ci sarebbe stato un surplus di 30€ al giorno per il parcheggio dell’auto. Insomma in hotel tutto bene, i servizi correlati, anche quelli di Booking, imprecisi e imbarazzanti. Altra chicca: in camera non c’è lo scovolino per pulire il water. Contattata la reception mi hanno risposto che sono direttive della sede centrale. Ovviamente ho preteso di avere uno scovolino onde evitare al personale delle pulizie il compito ingrato e umiliante di grattare la mia merda e quella degli altri clienti.

The view from the balcony of the room was spectacular. We got an upgrade to a junior suite which was spacious. The room was very clean and cozy. The location was very central and close to everything. Breakfast was nice with great view again of the sea. There was a parking garage very close by which was a blessing. Otherwise I would not know where to park the car. I like the staff who were very willing to help and accommodate our requests. We would definitely like to be back at this hotel next time we visit!

No air conditioning they offered a fan and the fan didn’t work the heat very uncomfortable we have to sleep with the sliding door open

Amazing to die for views from the spacious balcony looking out into the sea. Amazing looking pool an pool area We had a family room for 3 including a super king bed. Water and fruit in the lobby was good to have access to. Hotel located 5 minutes for Tauromino town centre Would stay there again

Mattress was hard for my comfort but that’s a personal taste I did not realise that the pool did not open until May as it was one of the selling points for us and so we chose to pay a little bit more than other hotels with no pools or small pools.
