Reviewed Aug 17, 2026The free parking was definitely appreciated. We arrived a little late, but the self check-in made things easy. The room was small, as expected, and the facilities were exactly what we expected. Nothing fancy and nothing great, but perfectly acceptable for a short stay. The onsen area was also quite compact, but we still appreciated having it. The next morning, we were able to appreciate the view of the river.
We booked a non-smoking room, but were given a room on a smoking floor, which was quite disappointing and made us wonder whether our request had actually been taken into account.

Reviewed Jul 21, 2026È un vecchio hotel rimasto fermo nel tempo e senza investimenti per migliorarlo. Il letto era pulito, il resto della stanza non troppo. Va bene per un'unica notte di passaggio volendo spendere il meno possibile. Non abbiamo provato l'onsen interno, abbiamo preferito un bagno nel fiume. Dintorni bellissimi e silenziosi, in mezzo alla foresta e alla montagna.

部屋の窓を開けて下を見ると、柵がなくて落ちそうで怖かった。 前の人のタバコが臭かった。

Reviewed Jun 22, 2026Le onsen public dans l’établissement était bien. (Prenez note que c’est le seul endroit ou vous pouvez vous laver) L’emplacement est adorable, proche de la rivière thermale et proche de commodité et de l’arrêt de bus.
C’était peu confortable et les murs étaient tâchés je crois de vieux liquide de poubelle, je pense que c’était juste ma chambre par contre.

Reviewed Jun 14, 2026Great location close to Kanawa Onsen bus stop and right on the Oto River. Good clean quiet room with basic amenities (tv, kettle, fridge) and private toilet. There is no shower, bathing is in the public indoor onsen.
Not a bad thing but there is no staff onsite. Checking in using their electronic system was not straightforward. I needed assistance and used the intercom where I was able to be guided and in the process.

Reviewed Jun 1, 2026Wir hatten (ausversehen) ein Zimmer ohne Dusche gebucht. Deswegne dachten wir, wir könnten in einer Gemeinschaftsdusche auf dem Stockwerk duschen. Wir haben in allen Stockwerken gesucht aber keine (außer für den Onsen) gefunden. Sehr seltsam!

Reviewed May 31, 2026L'endroit est très agréable, le onsen fait beaucoup de bien après une journée de trail. Les chambres sont de bonnes factures et possèdent toutes les commodités requises.
L'endroit possède beaucoup d'insectes, il n'est pas possible d'ouvrir les fenêtres, y compris dans le onsen, pourtant la vue est magnifique.

Seeing the hotel from outside given me a bad feeling , a little bit old and dirty. But as I said inside we had all we need. Overall not a bad hotel.

There no staff. It was mentioned that their sister hotel’s facilities were available to use. Not so. Even though they were helpful with information, they treated us as though we were some lower class rubbish and wanted us out of the building. Not so nice.

Měli jsme problém se ubytovat - nefunguje jim skener pasů. Není pro citlivé povahy. Pokoj nevoněl vábně - celou dobu jsme větrali. Povlečení, které nepokrývá celou peřinu jsem viděla poprvé.

The self-check-in system was confusing and complicated, especially if you had more than one room, as was my case. The onsen was good. In the area, there are only a couple of restaurants and a bus stop.

Bed was without mattress, therefore bit uncomfortable, especially if you do not like hard surfaces. But place looked authentic and room was nice! We enjoyed views outside the room, very spectacular.

La direction de l’hôtel n’est pas conciliante avec les randonneurs. A fuire absolument pour les randonneurs et pour les autres aussi. Il y a tellement d’hôtel et de guesthouse de qualité dans la région qu’on peut éviter celui-ci.

I don't really like the check-in machine, and there were just no food options, as the vending machines are just for drinks. No breakfast for us, but to some extent it's our mistake for not planning ahead more.

This hotel should be closed for healthy purposes. Door was open when we arrived. Disgusting and unless you are a smoker it is impossible to take a normal breath.

If you hungry you have to walk further as there is no shop or restaurant near the hotel. Either cross the tunnel or walk towards the bridge. Hotel kitchen might be available for breakfast
Automatic checkin process was a bit confusing, but there is a telephone beside the machine and they help you right away.
