Really no big deal but I always wonder why the majority of hotels, icluding Sancho, do not provide room slippers. It's just 0.99€/pair.

The booking.com price was not honoured on arrival, the confirmed price was 396 euro total (room only). I was charged 660 euro (room only) and under no circumstances would I be able to book in without paying this extra charge. As I had no other choice at 5pm on a blistering hot day travelling from Donegal Ireland to Madrid I relunctantly paid the extra charge. The recepionists were adamant Booking.com were wrong but would not contact them about the price, and then proceeded to tell me that the hotel website was recently hacked ?. After my 5 night stay Booking.com contacted me about a no show at the hotel trying to say I cancelled my stay. I am still in dispute with Hotel Sancho and Booking.com over this overcharge. So before booking this hotel make sure the price is confirmed 100% or you will be turned away with no regard for your circumstances.

Reviewed Jul 20, 2026I cannot recommend this hotel. We booked a room through Booking.com for around €220. When we arrived, the hotel refused to honor the confirmed reservation price and told us the room would cost around €420 instead. After some discussion, another staff member even offered it for €380, which clearly showed that the pricing was arbitrary. In the end, the hotel refused to accommodate us at the confirmed booking price. We had to leave late in the evening and urgently find another hotel. This caused unnecessary stress and extra expenses. Booking.com initially informed us that the price difference for the replacement hotel would be reimbursed, but we never received any compensation. A confirmed reservation should be respected. This experience was extremely disappointing and unprofessional.

The initial price was confirmed through booking .com at 794 euro for 5 nights (2 rooms) to pay on arrival. When I arrived this price had gone to 1,320 for 5 nights (2 rooms). I don't know why this was quoted they were blaming booking.com we were left with no option at 6pm in madrid but to pay it. I am contesting the overcharge with booking.com at the minute but haven't had much response from them yet. Apparently this hotel had a lot of trouble with pricing on booking.com so be aware if you are booking that the price is definitely secure. The hotel receptionists were not that nice and couldn't give me a proper reason for the price hike when we arrived. If i don't get it resolved my days with booking.com are over.

При регистрации на рецепции, выяснилось, что мой номер стоит в два раза больше, чем была цена в Booking, 150€, вместо 77€ по бронировании на сайте. Объяснили, что это была хакерская атака (как будто это моя проблема). И было только две опции: остаться в чужом городе на улице в 21:00, или заплатить ту сумму, на которую не рассчитывал. Заплатил. Оказалось, что это ещё и без завтрака было.

Reviewed Jul 12, 2026We walked to Prada and the train station to get to Seville very easily. Very convenient and safe and residential, nice playground a few blocks down full of kids in the evenings. Solid mid tier rooms and ac and plenty around for pastries or to hit a chocolaterria for breakfast.
You have to turn the key in when you leave. Elevator is smaller and slower but just fine.

Pero si algo llama la atención del hotel es su decoración y la amabilidad de todo el personal, Son magníficos. El trato es inmejorable, muy humanos, muy atentos a todo. Y las habitaciones son muy cómodas.
Deberían poner un poquito (solo un poquito) más de atención en el material del servicio a priori (creo que los vasos no deberían ser de cristal; más papel higiénico; alguna toalla más). Pero la reposición es inmediata y son muy amables si se les pide algo adicional.

O quarto para 3 pessoas achei pequeno, sao 3 malas e portanto e quarto fica sem espaço.

El trato del personal es excepcional desde que llegas. ¡Las habitaciones son muy acogedoras y la limpieza es absoluta! Está excelentemente ubicado en la zona sur, relativamente cerca al Centro y tiene el metro justo en la puerta del hotel. El barrio donde se encuentra es muy tranquilo, lo cual abona para descansar después de un día de caminata Otro punto destacado fue el desayuno bufet, que es delicioso y tiene gran variedad de alimentos. ¡Amé mi estancia en el"Hotel Sancho"! Es una opción fabulosa para visitar Madrid & volvería 100 veces. The "Hotel Sancho" is a WONDERFUL option for staying in Madrid. The staff's service is exceptional from the moment you arrive. The rooms are very cozy and spotlessly clean! It's excellently located in the southern part of the city, relatively close to the center, and has the metro right outside the hotel. The neighborhood is very quiet, which is perfect for relaxing after a day of walking. Another highlight was the breakfast buffet, which is delicious and has a great variety of food. I loved my stay at the "Hotel Sancho"! It's a fabulous option for visiting Madrid, and I would return 100 times.

Reviewed Jun 15, 2026Lo que más me gustó es la amabilidad tanto de la señora como del señor de recepción. También la limpieza de todas las instalaciones y de la habitación. La ubicación es muy buena, bastante cerca de la estación del tren de Atocha. Incluso si no tienes ganas de andar o llevas mucho equipaje puedes tomar el tren de cercanías de Renfe de la línea 10 en Atocha, y en la segunda estación "Delicias", estás a medio minuto del hotel. También enfrente está la estación de metro de Delicias. Hotel muy bien comunicado y en una zona con mucha vida. El aire acondicionado de la habitación va perfecto. Lo único que desentona es que los muebles son muy anticuados, aunque en perfecto estado y limpieza.

Damaged shower part made it difficult to turn on the shower. The person covering the hotel at night (after midnight) took ages to come up to my room to help me start the air conditioning. No manual with instructions or hotel details that i could see in the room.

Reviewed Jun 10, 2026Excelente atención. Habitación individual muy cómoda, con cama de 135, varios puntos de.luz y baño con ducha. Desayuné en la cafetería por 3,50 euros. Metro en la puerta del hotel Linea 3 directo al centro.

Reviewed Jun 8, 2026The staff at reception were very nice and helpful, the location is perfect and the rooms are well insulated and comfortable.
A petty complaint but the bathroom door left a small gap when closed, so better go with people you're close with 😅
