The staff was okay.

I was put in a room where they were hitting hammers and drilling untill almost midnight. I had two small kids with me the room did not have air con and the blankets amd towels were not clean. The blankets smelled like pee. Dring the night we were so cold i had to get up and ask for more blankets that were ok but also not clean.

They were disturbing us, knocking at 09:00 while check out was at 11:00. They only have bunk beds If you came as couple it’s a disadvantage

The aircon was not working, it was cold the was heater and mostly the was no hot water. I am so disappointed 😞 wish I had a better option around for the value of amount I paid!

The place is exceptional clean,hot water and lights available even though there was loadshedding

There was load shedding for two nights, on the first night there was a backup.,but plugs were not working,I was unable to charge my laptop while I have to use it for work,on the second night it was worst with no lights,no hot water,plugs not working and they promised to transfer us to Southgate ,but they did not want to provide transport and there was no refund if I choose to cancel for one night

Heaters did not work and it has been out of order for a very long time, because i was there on the 22-23 May 2026 they were also out of order.

The issue of kettle in the room. I like tea. I was up and down in the reception to make tea. This has just put me off. I was irritated.

I loved the staff members treatment, the cleanliness, welcoming . Most of the time I was not in the room during cleaning time but non of my things were missing. I loved unlimited complementary tea/coffee and cappuccino.

No private fidge , atheist bar fridge in the rooms could add cherry on top.

The bed positions. all rooms only have the trio bunk set up, this was uncomfortable for 2 people, having to sleep under an unused bed. They should maybe look at having some rooms without them. The room was very small. we had to wash our face a step from the bed. the toilet was also very compact. The window situation was most uncomfortable. It was as if you were in a very small cabin on a boat. the coffee stations had half-boiled water to use. Sun1 really needs to rethink their setting. The only bonus was the pleasant and accommodating staff. The facility was absolutely uncomfortable. It is not value-for-money. There are way better places to stay at that price.

The rooms are exceedingly small, especially the bathrooms. I hit my head a few times getting in and out of the bed.
