The heatpump remote control didn't work until we tried replacement batteries on second day. The fixed shower head was difficult to manage and we would've preferred a handheld piece. A heated towel rail was preferred to daily linen change.

Tired host though who didn't want interaction at all from the getgo.Felt unwelcome n a nuisance. Room was open rectangle box with massive bed n a single n ranch sliders facing out so if wanting any privacy needed to shut curtains which makes room dark. Only door was one to bathroom.A microwave is not a kitchenette. Power key made power box noisy so at night take ph light to bathroom. "Welcome" folder was about financial penalties n rules. "Do not eat on the beds and any stains will incur a fine " but the main "sitting places were beds." There were chais along the walls n side tables n one comfy chair. One got the feeling it was simply to turn money over. Small T.V in very corner. Rearrange furniture to see it. Washed dishes in bathroom. I won't return. And too expensive too for what it was.

Reviewed Mar 13, 2025Comfortable venue and patient/gracious hosts: we arrived later than ideal, but the team were very friendly and understanding. A good place to stay in Waihi as a base to explore Waikato or to head to Bay of Plenty or the Coromandel. Would recommend.

Rooms are old and run down, it is clean. The shower cubicle is very small. Bed cover wasn't a natural material. and for all of that is was pretty expensive.

Reviewed Nov 21, 2024The staff were very friemdly & helpfull. The unit had everthing including a tv in the bedroom. The bed was firm but comfy, there was also plenty of parking outside front of the unit. The bonus was the owner had two cats & a dog which loved spending time with the guests.
