One of my favourite places I’ve ever stayed. The views are amazing. The atmosphere is great. The food is nice & there are fun activities like yoga etc. a hell of an experience.

Cet hôtel est juste incroyable. On s’y s’en apaisé des qu’on y met un pied. La vue est à coupé le souffle, perché dans les montagnes. Les chambres sont fidèles aux photos. Les repas sont simples mais très bons. Notre meilleur hôtel en Colombie !!

L’accessibilité qui nécessite de prendre un moto taxi par personne (20000 pesos) ou un 4x4 (100000).

Misschien de weg er naar toe met de motortaxi's. De weg is erg hobbelig.

Un reconocimiento especial al chico Emanuel del bar de la piscina: siempre dispuesto a ayudar, trabajador y con una sonrisa que mejora el día de los huéspedes.

Très bel hôtel, en hauteur de Minca avec une vue sublime et une piscine incroyable. L’accueil y est très agréable et les repas sont bons et copieux.

Chambre un peu sombre et sans Clim ou ventilateur.

L’hotel est au cœur de la jungle de Minca et permet une déconnection totale. En raison de la difficulté d’accès de l’hôtel nous recommandons d’y séjourner 2 nuits pour profiter pleinement (surtout si, comme nous, l’une des soirées a été « gâchée » par un orage et la pluie). Les fins de journée autour de la piscine sont très agréables et le coucher de soleil magnifique. La végétation est magnifique. Nous avons très bien dîné les 2 soirs où nous sommes restés. La restauration sur place est quasi indispensable en raison du fait qu’aucun restaurant ne se trouve à proximité. Nous recommandons les yeux fermés, un passage obligatoire à Minca !

L’emplacement est effectivement impossible d’accès à pieds ou en Uber si valises. Il faut prendre un chauffeur spécial qui n’est pas donné (à prendre en compte dans votre budget global). La chambre était un peu petite, surtout pour déplier les valises.

Lieu paradisiaque ! La piscine était magnifique avec une vue sur la jungle des plus paisibles Nous avons super bien mangé ! On vous conseille de booker les lunchs et diners de l’hôtel si vous y séjournez quelques jours car il faut sinon pendre un moyen de transport pour aller à Minca/ marcher et remonter un chemin pentu pendant une bonne heure Lits très confortables Activités proposées par l’hôtel, et possibilité de visiter une finca de café / cacao très chouette (la Cadelaria).

La vue et la nourriture

Dernièrement étape de notre voyage d'un mois en Colombie, nous avons été très déçus par nos 4 nuits au Mundo Nuevo ! Malgré une jolie vue, les prestations sont clairement celles d'un "hostal avec piscine", et pas du tout d'un "Ecolodge" à 300€ la nuit : - chambre pour 4 minuscule : à peine la place de passer entre les lits, pas de quoi ranger les affaires et valises - chambre très mal insonorisée du couloir, et des dortoirs à côté et au dessus : nous entendions toutes les conversations, musique et films des voisins - matelas très inconfortable, sur ressort. On se réveille dès que l'autre bouge - pas de ventilation dans la chambre - chambre pas nettoyée le matin même si nous laissions notre porte ouverte. Elle n'a été nettoyée que le jour où nous sommes allés le demander à la réception, et cela ne nous a pas été expliqué au check in Cet hostal est donc peut être plus adapté pour les personnes qui dorment en dortoir, mais ne vaut absolument pas 300€ la nuit, malgré la vue.

I think they're using the "Eco" idea as an excuse for basically having nothing working, e.g. no power on 2/3 days, no laundry, etc. The staff really could have tried to help us instead of just shrugging and saying "it happens". I'd probably pass on this one.

Die Aussicht war unglaublich schön! Es hat und sehr gefallen, dass alle zusammen essen. Das Essen war ausserordentlich lecker.

Le lieu est exceptionnel ! Le personnel est très accueillant et super gentil, je recommande vivement ! Les repas sont délicieux et les excursions à proximité sont supers !

Les quelques moustiques (mais avec de l'anti moustique c'est okay)

L’établissement est juste extraordinaire ! Je n’ai jamais vu ça auparavant ! Chambre, propreté, piscine, cuisine, tous y est ! Foncez !

Não existe serviço de cozinha com cardápio para escolher. São servidas apenas três refeições por dia: café da manhã, almoço e jantar. Em cada refeição, há somente duas opções: vegetariana ou tradicional (não vegetariana).

We stayed here for one night and had a wonderful experience overall. The setting is absolutely beautiful: peaceful, surrounded by nature, and incredibly relaxing. It really feels like a place where you can disconnect from everyday life and recharge. The staff were very kind, welcoming, and always happy to help. The activities offered are varied and reasonably priced. The swimming pool is stunning, and watching the sunset from there was one of the highlights of our stay. We would definitely recommend Mundo Nuevo ECO LODGE to anyone looking for a quiet escape in nature.

The only downside was the presence of noisy children around the pool, as well as some guests having video calls in that area. This is obviously not the fault of the hotel, but it did take away from the peaceful atmosphere that makes this place so special. We hope guests will be encouraged to respect the tranquility of the surroundings.

The views, the pool. The family meal at night. Hot water and Internet. Granted, the location is out of the way and you need a Mototaxi 20k or 4*4 100k to go up. For luggage etc it's one time only. But going down is easy 30mins. Waterfall, chocolate factory and coffee tour nearby. People are so friendly. Has a resident toucan which likes its El Desayuno. Lunch and dinner available for a modest price which is homemade. I enjoyed my stay, good to chill and relax.

Not much storage space in room Lodge only accessible via steep unpaved road 2.5km from Minca and you either need to walk, get a 4x4 or a motor taxi up which was an additional cost (20,000-100,000)

Magische en idyllische locatie, midden in de bergen. Heel toffe laid-back vibe, je kan er helemaal tot rust komen.

De tweede dag dat wij er waren kwam er een grote en luide groep met veel kleine kindjes die het zwembad gillend overnamen, dus de magie en laid-back vibe was meteen weg, we waren precies in een speeltuin. Dat was wel jammer voor ons.

Las vistas y el atardecer de lo mejor junto a la piscina, la comida deliciosa de igual forma, eso si es vegetariana pero aún ni nosotros no siendo la disfrutamos al máximo. Un staff espectacular y unos gatos divinos que hacen la experiencia aún mejor!

De uitzichten, de locatie, de rust, de natuur. Het zwembad. De massage. De hangmatten. De kolibri’s. Alles wat je nodig hebt voorhanden. Warm water, alles werkte. Eerlijke keuken. En het personeel combineerde top service met persoonlijk, informeel contact.

De afstand tot Minca via de ruwe weg zorgde ervoor dat je ter plekke bleef, meer dan je gepland had. Maar da’s meteen ook een voordeel: als je plan is om tijdens het reizen even écht tot rust te komen, kan je geen betere plek vinden. Ah, en de muggen, die zijn er wel.

Kleines träumchen in den Bergen von minca. Der Pool und gesamte Garten ein wahrer Traum. Das Personal Mega zuvorkommend. Wegen der exponierten Lage muss man zwangsweise dort alles konsumieren. Aber Preise sind dafür komplett okay. Gerade das Mittagessen u Abendessen hat ein faires Preis Leistungsverhältnis

Viele Mücken, aber das ist halt in minca zu dieser Zeit normal. Einzig die an und Abreise ist etwas umständlich entweder mit nem Motorrad Taxi oder teuren 4x4. Schade das sie keinen Sammeltransport organisieren sondern lediglich die Nummer des Fahrzeugführers herausgeben. Abreise konnte dann mit anderen geteilt werden, aber Anreise war allein ziemlich teuer

My stay at Mundo Nuevo was fantastic - it exceeded all expectations. The views were phenomenal and the facilities were amazing. The highlight was definitely the pool which had the best view I think I’ll ever have by a poolside, but there are hammocks and lovely places to sit all over the property. The food was delicious and the beds comfortable. The staff were also so lovely and let us watch the Colombia match on their laptop with them! My only regret is that I didn’t stay longer. I would absolutely recommend a stay here.

A lovely place to rest and relax for a few days away from hustle and bustle! Great pool and good food! We loved the bird watching!

Only thing was payment was cash only so we had to carry a lot of cash which we don’t like doing.

Am Pool war Sandmücken und sie haben uns leider unglaublich gestochen. Fast waren wir kurz vor Krankenhaus! Der Besitzer/Hotel könnte uns zumindest bescheid geben. Der Weg zu Hotel braucht SUV oder Off-Road Motorräder, nicht Scooter kann bis oben!

This is paradise - you must book!! The birds, the views, the sunsets and vibes are beautiful.

Budget in 100,000 for 4x4 each way from Minca which you have to take to get here. Once you're there, it's quite hard to leave so bring any supplies... but you won't want to leave!

Exceptionnel !!! Sublime !!! Si la perfection devait exister elle serait là ! Le lieu est magique, bourré d'énergie positive, la vue est incroyable l'élégance, la grâce de la construction fondue dans le décor paradisiaque, la gentillesse et bienveillance, les repas succulents bio du jardin et vegan pour ceux qui le souhaitent. Et bien sûr la piscine qui s'ouvre sur le paysage de quasi 360 ° Si je reviens , c'est avec certitude que je choisirai ce lieu, ces gens, cette réflexion . Pour s'y rendre , c'est dans les hauteurs de Minca, soit vous marchez environ 45 min en bonne montée (mais le voyage n'est il pas aussi le cheminement) soit vous prenez une moto taxi pour 20 000. Les dortoirs ressemblent plus à un décor d'un film au mobilier d'élégance avec pour chaque lit une moustiquaire. Les chambres individuelles sont disposées autour du bâtiment principal ou vers la piscine , c'est incroyable... Vous avez compris it is the place to be ! Nous avons eu la chance immense d'être surclassés gratuitement dans la suite exécutive et wow!! Quelle chambre incroyable 😍 La vue sur les montagnes et la piscine, le salon entièrement ouvert sur la nature, les colibris et les papillons dès le matin, un rêve éveillé!

Le petit-déjeuner est un peu léger si on ne peut pas manger d'œuf, mais tous les repas sont excellents 😊

It’s somewhat loud even though people may talk at low volumes it’s not a secluded retreat type place more of a hostel vibe so very social. That’s good and bad. Requires 4x5

Le prix est beaucoup trop élevé par rapport aux prestations . Pas de service ménage, lits trés petits, pas de porte pour chambres enfants. Petits déjeuners et repas non compris dans le prix pourtant trés élevé !!! Grosses disparités de prix entre les chambres et les profils de voyageurs. j ai payé plus de 600 € pour 2 nuits, quand d'autres voyageurs payaient 15 € ( en dortoirs) mais pour avoir accès aux mêmes prestations : piscine....

This place is truly amazing ! Everything about it is fantastic. We walked up, it’s not that hard, we did it everyday in fact. Just don’t bring a bag that’s too big. So if you’re put off but the price of the 4x4 or the safety of the moto taxi, waking is a very doable option. It’s a bit sweaty. But the pool is very refreshing (after a shower). They could make the food vegan everyday.

Mundo Nuevo offers a truly spectacular experience in many ways. The views are absolutely breathtaking, the facilities are excellent, the food is delicious, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. It is undeniably a beautiful place to stay, with so much potential to create a meaningful connection between guests and the surrounding environment.

I left with important questions about how the “eco lodge” identity is being defined and practiced. While the setting itself is immersed in nature, several aspects did not seem aligned with what many guests might expect from a place carrying that title. For example, the pool uses chlorine, bleach appears to be used heavily for cleaning, and although there seems to be a farm-to-table system, this was not actively promoted or integrated into a broader sustainability narrative. I initially chose Mundo Nuevo expecting a stronger plant-based or vegetarian focus, but noticed meat has now been added to the menu, which felt inconsistent with the ecological image I had anticipated. More broadly, there was little communication around sustainability practices, ecological philosophy, or environmental responsibility, which made me wonder what specifically defines the lodge as “eco.” I also noticed what felt like an effort to separate the hotel experience from certain aspects of nature, such as snakes or ants, often treating them primarily as nuisances to be removed or killed. While guest safety and comfort are of course important, being in such an environment also invites reflection on coexistence and respect for the ecosystems we are entering. True eco-consciousness, in my view, goes beyond location and aesthetics—it includes intentional practices, education, and a deeper philosophy of living in relationship with nature rather than simply being surrounded by it. Mundo Nuevo is a stunning destination with many strengths, but I believe there is an opportunity to more clearly embody and communicate what being an eco lodge truly me

This place is paradise! Watching sunsets from the pool was an experience for itself. Food is really good, tastes like mama's cuisine (always vegi and meat options). The staff is friendly, few activities to do around but you will not want to leave this place anyway :) bit tricky to get up there but if you arrive in minca before sunset it should be no problem to find a 4x4 or moto

!!!Der 7er Dorm ist eine Frechheit!! Die Angestellten sind eine Katastrophe leider - sehr unfreundlich. Das Zimmer ist winzig, gerade mal eine Person kann zwischen den Betten gehen. Ebenso gibt es dort absolut keine Ablageflächen im Zimmer und keinen Platz sowie kein eigenes Badezimmer für eh schon 7 Personen. Die beiden Bäder inkl. 2!! Toiletten werden nicht nur zu 7. geteilt, sämtliche Angestellten sowie alle Gäste des Restaurants nutzen sie ebenfalls. Absolutes Nogo Nach meiner Nachfrage warum es im 7er Dorm kein warmes Wasser gibt (Abends kühlt es dort auch gern mal auf 23 Grad ab), wurde mir patzig geantwortet, dass keiner der Dorms warmes Wasser hat und ich gerne ein Doppelzimmer buchen kann. Den Dorm hätte ich selbstverständlich trotzdem zu bezahlen, stornieren geht nicht. Tatsächlich stimmt dies so nicht, alle Zimmer haben warmes Wasser nur der 7er Dorm nicht (der kostet gerade mal 3€ weniger - eine Frechheit) Leider hat diese Nachfrage gereicht, um sämtliche Angestellten gegen mich aufzubringen. Ab Tag 1 wurde ich ganz klar schlechter behandelt als andere Gäste Die Essenszeiten erinnern an ein Retreat, es gibt nur bis 9 Frühstück, Mittags nur um 1Uhr und abends um 7 Uhr Dazwischen kann man Monsieur Croque bestellen - da musste ich fast lachen als ich den labbrigen Toast mit ein bisschen Käse gesehen hab (absolut nicht empfehlenswert) Fazit: Das Hostel könnte wirklich großartig sein wären da nicht die riesen Mängel Also: keinen 7er Dorm buchen und genügend Snacks mitbringen, dann kann man dort eine grandiose Zeit haben

I absolutely loved my stay at Mundo Nuevo. Being surrounded by jungle made it feel peaceful and magical, and the sunsets were honestly some of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. Starting the day with morning yoga was such a perfect touch, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming the whole time. The food was also amazing – big portions and really delicious. It’s a perfect place to relax, disconnect, and enjoy nature. I would definitely come back!

Natur pur, das Zimmer mit dem Ausblick war wunderschön. Wir hatten eine große, offene Terrasse, ein Schlafzimmer mit Moskitonetz, dass gebraucht wird und eine Dusche und Toilette im Zimmer.

Für uns hat alles gepasst.

Tout. Plus beau spot de Minca. La piscine et le coucher de soleil depuis la piscine est inoubliable. Personnel serviable et nourriture délicieuse. Espaces communs top et de supers cocktails au bar !

La comida estaba muy rica. Pero considero que siempre debería haber al menos una opción de menú no vegetariano. En el almuerzo solo hay disponible comida vegetariana ☹️

Le petit déjeuner pourrait être inclus vu le prix des chambres, et l’isolement de l’hôtel qui fait quasiment une obligation des prendre tous les repas sur place . Les chambres restent petites et très mal isolées du bruit, car très proches les une des autres . Ménage non fait quotidiennement , poubelles des toilettes non changées par le fait . Bar très moyen dans la réalisation des cocktails et la diversité.

Tap water had no pressure, but understandable

Wie schon in vielen Bewertungen beschrieben, ist dieser Ort wirklich eine kleine Oase. Die Unterkunft liegt oben in den Bergen, sodass man mit Gepäck am besten mit einem Jeep oder ähnlichem Fahrzeug hinauffährt. Alternativ gibt es im Ort Motorrad-Taxis, die einen ebenfalls bequem nach oben bringen. Die Anlage ist wunderschön und sehr gepflegt, umgeben von beeindruckender Natur und mit einem herrlichen Pool, der zum Entspannen einlädt. Morgens werden Yoga-Kurse angeboten, außerdem gibt es verschiedene Aktivitäten, an denen man teilnehmen kann. Vor Ort kann man Frühstück, Mittag- und Abendessen bekommen – immer mit leckeren vegetarischen Optionen zu fairen Preisen. Insgesamt strahlt dieser Ort eine unglaubliche Ruhe aus. Ein perfekter Platz, um abzuschalten – am liebsten würde man für immer dort bleiben.

Beautiful location in the hills above Minca. Fantastic views of the surrounding countryside, surrounded by tropical rainforest. The staff was extremely friendly and overall there was a great community ambience.

The roads (dirt tracks) upto the property were terrible. Some sections were worse than others and definitely need to be sorted out!

Amazing hotel in Minca in the middle of nature. The food served for breakfast, lunch and dinner was super tasty and great value for money. The pool had a lovely infinity view over the mountains. The staff were great and very helpful. The hotel was clean and well organised. Lots of shared spaces with other guests. Nice bar with good cocktails.

Wifi was sometimes not working

I loved everything about my stay. The location is beautiful with outstanding views. A lovely pool and fab place to watch the sunset. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
