Riad Alkaderi

Staying at Riad Alkaderi was the highlight of our trip to Marrakech. From the moment we stepped inside, we were welcomed with warm Moroccan hospitality, fresh mint tea, and pastries. The riad is beautifully decorated with traditional craftsmanship. The rooftop terrace is perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring. It is located just a 5-minute walk from Jemaa el-Fnaa, tucked away in a quiet and safe alley. The homemade breakfast served every morning was delicious. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Marrakech! We will definitely return.

J'y retournerai.

Le fonctionnement de la douche

Staff was excellent.

This is small paradise in the middle of Marrakesh. I feel like a princess there. Cozy room in Morocco style. Kind and friendly personal.

A gorgeous hidden gem, old building hidden behind old walls. Walking through the door was like walking into an oasis - quiet and sublime. Staff were all amazing and friendly.

When you’re in the middle of the Medina surrounded by mosques. You’re going to get woken at about 4.30am for the calls to prayer all around. Lasted 5-10 mins then usually back to sleep. Obviously not the property’s fault though !

The location is perfect. Really can't get closer to the heart of the old city. The staff was personable, kind and very warm.

The bathrooms are very very small and unfortunately a challenge. With a direct shower only, difficult to operate the hot/cold and so you have to be careful.

Staff were delightful and helpful - room was nice and clean and generally it was a peaceful location. The Riad is centrally located - And there is a roof terrace

There was a water pump or something that operated every now and during the night that was a little noisy. If you have heavy bag be prepared to walk a little way or get a porter. Dont forget extra tax (for the time we were there it was an additional (€40)

Beautiful property in the heart of the medina. Very clean and comfortable rooms, with nice authentic touches throughout. The staff in particular were fantastic and took great care of us, particularly my elderly parents. Breakfast was plentiful and great to try local pastries.

Nothing. It’s a great place to stay and very well located.

MERCI

Great Riad. Great hosts

Its original architectural features and style

Towels and dressing gowns were a bit worn and flimsy

It’s central location is a erybig selling point

Our room was situated on the ground floor with steep steps to a 1st floor bedroom and en-suite and further steep steps to a private roof space…all very quaint and quirky but not ideal for older clientele. As with the many Marrakesh rhiads , it is not accessible by road to the front door. One must not be afraid to ask directions

What didnt we like... the room great, junior suif, roomy and plenty of wardrobe space, location not far from the main square.. breakfast, full every day ,pastries, fruit, pancakes 🥞 bread omlets all arrived at our table... and lovely coffee. Mama looked out for us... quiet when we were there, the noise of the souk vanishes as you step through the door, the bed... lovely sheets, so comfy. And our departure, cans just down the lane, which is lit at night.

Nothing

It was my first time staying at Riad.

WiFi never worked properly.

Room including bathrooms were smelling. Bath was so tiny that you cannot stand cleanly and take bath and other activities

Gościnna herbatka na powitanie miła obsługa pyszne śniadanie spokój i cisza mimo zgiełku i szumu na ulicy

Trochę ciasno w pokoju którym byłem i łazienka widać grzyb pod prysznicem.

Fantastisk sødt og hjælpsomt personale. Man følte sig virkelig velkommen. Skønt med privat solterrasse. Beliggenheden tæt på souk og Jemaa el-fnaa

Det var lidt svært at finde. Måske nogle billeder af vejen havde hjulpet?

Brilliant location, everything in very easy walking distance. Alongside this, it still manages to be very quiet, no noise from the Medina. Very helpful staff, especially the lovely lady who serves breakfast. Nice roof terrace. Beautiful tiled bathroom. A very calming place to stay - just what we needed!

The mirror was incredibly far away and so not very helpful - adding a small vanity mirror or other small mirror would be very useful. You can hear people in the next room very easily! It's a very old and beautiful riad so makes sense. But it feels a little less private because of it.

The staff, especially Caty.

The Riad Alkaderi is really well located, right in the middle of the bustling medina, literally a 2-min walk from the Jemaa el-fnaa square. Once inside the Riad you are made to feel completely at home, in its tranquil and authentic Moroccan setting. Our room was beutifully set in traditional Moroccan style and offered some much-needed peace & quiet after the absolute mayhem of the souks and markets. The Riad hosts Simo and Khadija were amazing and made sure we wanted for nothing. Simo kindly provided us with his WhatsApp number on arrival and messaged regularily, answering any questions, directions, recommendations, places to go and most importantly places not too go!!.. They took care of all of our reservations and organised day trips for us to the Atlas mountains. On our last day we managed to book the Hamman spa provided by the Riad... It was absolutely amazing, in fact, it was possibly the highlight of the weekend. Marakkesh is an experience to say the least, staying in the Riad Alkaderi lets you fully immerse yourself in Moroccan culture. Cant recommend highly enough, superb experience....

We couldn't fault our stay at the Riad... but be prepared, no TV in room and weak WiFi in the room, which is absolutely fine considering the property is centuries old, with walls almost 2ft deep. Step outside of the room and the WiFi is great, also anywhere around the courtyard.

Stilul tipic marocan conservat foarte bine si profesionalismul echipei

Great hosts in a wonderful location. Beautiful breakfast provided. Everyone was so helpful.

There was nothing not to like. Perfect stay groom start to finish.

Accueil, personnel attentif, bon petit déjeuner, calme et bien placé SPA agréable

Madame Kati: Without Madame Kati, this place would fall apart. She is the only bright spot and the true heart of the establishment. We sincerely hope the owner realizes her value – because without her, this hotel would have nothing to offer.

We deliberately chose to spend more than the average accommodation rate when visiting at the end of November / beginning of December, expecting a higher standard. What we experienced was far below that. Upon arrival, we asked to have the fireplace lit, as clearly shown and advertised on booking.com. The receptionist informed us that it could not be used. When we pointed out the misleading room description, the owner intervened. We have rarely encountered such an arrogant and unprofessional hotelier. Instead of offering a solution, he aggressively attempted to justify the false advertising. His excuses ranged from “Yes, the chimney exists, but it can't be used” to “We must list it on booking.com because it’s physically there,” and even “No hotel in the world allows fireplaces in rooms.” At that point it became obvious that items are deliberately listed even though they are not available – something many other reviews also highlight. Following this logic, he might as well advertise a safety box that you are not allowed to open. We asked to cancel the reservation, but our request was denied. What was missing too, were necessities like shower towels. After asking, we received ONE shower towel for TWO guests. The advertised pool may attract guests (as it did us, besides the “fireplace” without fire), but it turns out it requires an extra fee and belongs to an external spa, not the hotel itself. There is no breakfast room. Breakfast is served in the courtyard, which might work in summer but is unbearably cold in December. We sat there in down jackets and multiple layers of socks – hardly the experience you expect from a supposedly higher-priced hotel. Even worse, breakfast does not start until 8 a.m. This is extremely late, especially since there is no kettle in the room (which is called a "suite") to at least make a coffee.

An amazing Medina placed riad not far from Jemaa el-Fnaa square with traditional moroccan style & interior (unique for each room). A quiet and cozy place, has a rooftop chilling spot for observing sunsets and sunrises. Tasty breakfasts, spa with hammam, very helpful and kind personel.

The staff was excellent. So welcoming and helpful with anything and everything!

The staff were so awesome!! We had many things that popped up that we needed help with: laundry, toiletries, bagged meals etc. and they were so accommodating. Truly felt like being around family. Want to especially thank Kati (Khadija). She is so truly awesome. Made our experience even better❤️ The place itself was beautiful! Clean + calm.

We will come back. Expected our needs, and the staff were friendly and polite.

Accoglienza, staff, servizi, pulizia, arredamento, colazione ... tutto perfetto. Eccezionali i Msemen e i baghrirs. Consigliatissimo.

Assolutamente nulla.

We loved the staff. They were extremely kind helpful and professional especially Simone and Kadija. They made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The location is perfect. Very peaceful. An oasis in the middle of Marrakesh.

For our age group 60/65 the Bed was a bit hard. But apart from that nothing it was fabulous.

Choukrane !
