close to airport, we arrived late and then departed 12 following day , location 10 min from airport.

breakfast for us was not worth having for us , we were at the last night of 3 week vietnam trip, we just needed a bath/shower and a bed .

Convenient to the airport and Gangwhoo hospital. King size bed, nice walk in shower air conditioner and bonus of lovely breakfast.

This hotel was perfect for my one week working in Ho Chi Minh Tan Binh area. Room is clean and spacious. Floors in public area are polished all the time. Hotel personnel are always willing to help. The air conditioning in our original room was not working well and they moved us to another larger room. Breakfast has sufficient variety.

The property very clean. Staff are very polite. We just wanted somewhere close to hospital. We were not disappointed because the hotel was clean and new . The breakfast is just normal average but clean and fresh. In general for sure I'm going to recommended.

Good hotel to go to if you wanna stay near the airport.

The room is spacious and airy, with large windows and very clean, staffs are friendly, breakfast is delicious. I’m very satisfied. I will definitely come back.

Very nice little hotel,modern, clean, nice BREAKFAST, good rooms, big bed, English speaking movie channels on TV, CLOSE TO THE AIRPORT, only 15 minutes. If you want convenience of being close to the Airport, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL.

It is close to a school and can get quite noisy. The receptionist tried to charge us on our card for the whole booking at the last minute during check out although we had not taken any extra services/ minibar and we had prepaid for everything right at the start of the stay! Also the breakfast was really sorry. The shower water temperature was so hard to set at a comfortable warmth.

Very nice place to stay and with the excellent cab system in place you are connected to the rest of the city by simply telling the front desk where you want to go.

Not too bad. It would be an advantage if they catered to the travelling Westerners a little bit more as this was the hotel suggested by Gangwoo hospital and there will be more coming to stay there for their procedures from AU, US. and more. Maybe English speaking Tv channels.

Location, reasonably quite street, room size was good, opening windows, use of a wall fan if you didn't want the AC on, or use both. Service from house keeping was great When I asked for extra pillows (as I had surgery) no problem with dropping them to my room.

Per school below on the left- loud music when they opened at 7am & closed at 6pm! Loud assembly's, Light above the bathroom mirror didn't work, You could hear people in the hall way ? may need to sound proof the doors or place something in the gap under the door. Ceilings are thin as I had to deal with a noisy person above me dragging the chair around on the floor & was a heavy footed walker. They say non smoking rooms but I could smell a smoker had been in this room before me?

The hotel is good value for money

I travel fairly frequently for both business and pleasure - so have stayed at the higher-end (Marriott, Hilton) to the lower-end (La Quinta, Holiday Inn, etc.) places. I picked this particular cheap/affordable hotel because of unexpected one-night trip to HCMC - and just wanted to be near to the airport. For the price, the Solex is a great value (clean & fairly good sized room). It is located in an area with tons of (local) food venues. Just a couple minor things: the backside of the hotel faces two schools - so they can be noisy in the early morning. The breakfast was very simple during my stay - just a like 5 items - while I was happy with them - foreigners may not have enough options to be satisfied. But then again - I was only paying like $40USD for the night. Overall, I am happy and recommend the Solex for budget travelers or those who just need a quick short stay to get to the airport.

Love the location, unfortunately there is no pool, our family of 6 (2 adults, 4 children) stayed here for about 6 days at the end of our trip in April 2023, it would've been perfect if it had a pool. The front desk clerk gave us a hard time and almost made us pay for a third adult because our 14 year old son was so tall and he considered him another adult, we had to show him his school ID but even that did not deter him from harassing us about the extra fee, for days after the check in he would watch us leave and count how many of us there were but we didn't understand why he was doing this. In the end he hesitantly waived the extra adult fee. Breakfast was mediocre, there could've provided more dishes. I asked the front desk clerk to wash my husbands t-shirts but to please hand dry only, he did not listen so my husbands shirts shrunk, they no longer fit him but good thing my son is tall for his age so they were passed down to him. Other than the incidents we would definitely stay here again because of the location. Alberta, Canada

Great location, far away from tourists, close to airport and the Hoang Hoa Tham Market. Rooms are nice and clean, friendly housekeeping staff. Breakfast buffet is small and cold but there are great places to eat just around the corner.

Room was clean, big and bright. Since I was here for a business trip it was very close to the office in Etown 3.

The air-conditioner at room 606 was not cooling. i was difficult to communicate with the front desk as they could not speak in English.

The attitude of the staff is very good and they will help with luggage

We have stayed in this hotel for three occasions since 2019. It is within 10-minute walk from the Hoang Hoa Tham Market and 10 minutes taxi drive (4.6 KM) from Tan Son Nhat Airport. Most rooms of this hotel are very spacious. In our recent stay, we noticed that the buffet of Solex has improved significantly, as its staff cooked different Vietnamese dishes (similar to the ones that my wife often cooks at home) every day. Meanwhile, its Vietnamese coffee is hard to beat!

First, we notice that Solex hardly gave special discounts over the years. This would be a big disadvantage for this hotel, as in the off-season, it has to compete with numerous very good 3-star hotels in District 1. Second, I personally felt the white light and white decor with black furniture of Solex to be dated and clinical. Perhaps now is the time for the owner(s) of this hotel to hire good interior designers to give this hotel a romantic touch. (I suppose all of us still remember how the lives of captain Von Trapp and his children were significantly changed when Maria arrived and brought music and romantic feeling back to his house!)

Lovely hotel, we stayed for 2 nights, very clean, staff were very accommodating. The rooms are spacious and have ac and a fan, very clean, large shower and comfortable bed. We will stay here again when we visit HCMC. Very reasonable price also good breakfast. Good area and in a quiet street.

Plenty of off street parking. Walking distance to many restaurants and shops. Tucked away in quieter neighborhood Very good value.

Nice and clean hotel Away from loud and busy street

I have been staying in solex for several times.Everything is nice. However, Breakfast is not as good as before and my boyfriend can’t eat pork but almost everything has pork. Sometimes have chicken but no white rice too so very difficult for him to eat. Receptionist girl in the morning is not very welcomed. Her attitude is bad and unprofessional with her rolling eyes and grumbling face when answering us which I find unacceptable for a receptionist. Other staffs are helpful😊

I don't see any foreigner coming here for other reason than for airport hotel reason. Close enough to airport and located for the nice, quiet alley behind the main street. There was nothing wrong in the room. Everything worked even thou little bit worn. Quite a big room and with bathtub. What I didn't like so much was the additional price for the included breakfast. That breakfast wasn't the value of price. Not quality wise, not quantity wise. Next time I will most likely take some little cheaper place without a breakfast and pay less. Maybe this hotel should also consider selling the rooms with cheaper price but without a breakfast.

I was on a two week trip in South Vietnam and this was one of the hotels I stayed in. Out of all the places I stayed this was the best! It was very clean & the rooms were comfortable and nice. Even the area was garbage free. It is located down a road off the normal busy road so it's nice and quite. It's not near District 1 HCM central, but it's about 30 mins by car give or take traffic and 20 to the airport. Staff was friendly and helpful and breakfast was tasty. I would recommend this hotel if you want a decent place to stay and don't mind being away from the heart of the city.

Staying here for seven Knights all up is very quiet in the room well-appointed the noise outside is very loud with all the traffic the room is serviced every day very clean and tidy the staff seemed very friendly not a lot of English though but you get by the right outside seems very busy so you seem to need to close your eyes and just walk.
