Jays Holiday Resort

We had a nice time at Jays resort. It is well set out and has a feeling of being part of the jungle which is lovely. The pool was clean. The food was good but not amazing- the breakfast was the usual pancakes with coconut, fruit and omelette. The staff were really friendly and look out for the animal collect by the reception desk! Good value for money.

It is more than walking distance into the village/ town centre but we had a driver so not an issue. The pool also had some cracked tiles which need to be repaired so that people don't cut their feet.

Les douches avec peu d’eau chaude et l’odeur de renfermé dans les chambres . Il serait bien d’ajouter des moustiquaires pour pouvoir ouvrir les fenêtres traversantes

Nichts

Nous avons été très bien accueillis. Notre hôte est venu nous chercher à la gare de Habarana et nous a véhiculés jusqu'au bus pour notre départ. Il nous a donné beaucoup de conseils pour organiser notre séjour. Tout le personnel est attentionné et souriant. Le jardin est magnifique. Nous y avons également bien mangé.

La piscine nécessite un meilleur entretien. C'est dommage !

Location: You feel right in the jungle, very peaceful. Pool is lovely. Management is friendly and helpful. The son, Passn , was always with a wonderful smile. Very helpful and efficient in organizing transport and safari ( without pressuring you). Clean, large room. Bathroom a little cramped. Shower gel provided. Net on bathroom window is good. Wifi mostly good. Good breakfast, with choice of eggs as well as pancakes filled with coconut cream, toast, fruit, juice and coffee/tea. Last day, amazing breakfast, with string hopperd and dhal, in addition to everything else. Variety of dinner choices. Vegetable curry and kottu were delicious. Cute cocker spaniel!

No offer to change towel (only one per person in room) or supply new water bottles - stayed three nights. Suggestion: Hooks to hang clothes. There's no cupboard. A place to dry beach towels. Bathroom could use an upgrade.

Everything was perfect. The hotel manager is extremely nice and the accommodation is perfect. I highly recommend this place.

Amazing place with great and extremely helpful staff that helped us with organising transport to Sigiriya and safari in Mineriya; great breakfast; such a friendly relaxing vibe of the whole place; cold pool (highly appreciated); nice surrounding area in nature, yet close to the city. Perfect location close to so many sights. Would 100 % recommend!

The hotel is in a lovely location and the rooms are a good size. Perhaps tea/coffee facilities in the rooms? I was a little cold during the night so maybe consider light duvets instead of single sheets only. Food was good. What really made our stay enjoyable though was the staff. Nothing was too much of a problem. They were wonderful!

Die Zimmer und Bäder sind groß und geräumig. Die kleinen Bungalows liegen sehr ruhig in einem herrlichen Garten inmitten von Urwald. Alles - inklusive Pool - ist sehr sauber. Das Essen war sehr gut. Das Personal sehr nett und zuvorkommend.
