It is an older property and has a lot of charm. Beds Comfortable. It is located on an incredibly beautiful street. There were beautiful areas to relax in and visit with your friends.
The breakfast was okay but not outstanding. Not a problem for me but lots of stairs. My room was quiet but those facing the street errr noisy. A 20 minute walk uphill to the garden and chapel. Fine for me but you do need to be able to walk or take an Uber.
The locations was great.
The room was pretty small, there was no refrigerator in the room . We were not able to get coffee or tea until the kitchen opened at 8:30am. The breakfast was really pretty poor., terrible coffee. I ordered eggs with bacon , the eggs were terrible and the bacon was cold and looked liked it was sitting on a shelf for week. We wouldn’t come back.
Excellent convenient location. Close to centro, restaurants. Attentive, helpful, polite staff. Well kept. Beautiful place. Healthy breakfast. Feels like home. Ran out of hot water once.
The architectural detail of the interior and exterior space condition. The home was immaculate. Perfectly designed and upgraded with modern features, but respected all the detail of the original craftsmanship of the home. The staff were amazing especially Louis, and we were fortunate that the owner was there with her family for two days which even made it feel more like being part of such a wonderful family
It rained two days!!!!!
Beautiful property, highlighting the colonial beauty of México. Large, comfortable room with a modern bathroom and terrific bathtub with ample hot water and big soft towels. Some rooms have showers. Comfortable bed. Location great on a quiet street, a few blocks from the jardín (central plaza) and cathedral, shops and restaurants. Friendly, helpful staff, delicious breakfast cooked to order served in the comedor (dining room) of this beautiful old house.
No elevator, lots of stairs. This might be a problem for some people. I expect elevators are few in this colonial city. There is assistance in getting your bags up the beautiful stairs.
The beautiful building and appropriate furnishings. Proximity to the plaza and historical center. The delicious cooked-to-order breakfast. The comfortable bed. Plenty of hot water. Big soft towels. The lovely patios everywhere . The kind staff, The helpful manager, Luis. My bathtub. The rain shower. The views from my windows.
Steep narrow stairs. They were beautiful stairs in a very old building, but difficult for me. I was given help with luggage. It would be difficult to find a hotel with an elevater (which would have spoiled the ambiance) in San Miguel.
Great host , very accommodating and helpful .
A quiet street, near everything. The staff was very accommodating, friendly, and professional. The rooms were comfortable. Really liked the character of the place and the manger. Lots of little areas to hang out and the art was cool
The breakfast was ok but convenient (not a lot of choice or variety).
Convenience
Un hotel súper recomendado
Couldn’t ask for a better location! Central, but on a small, quiet street.
The room was tiny though we did have a huge terrace. Although breakfast was custom made, it was adequate but pretty limited
Great location on a very beautiful street. I Have stayed twice at Casa Calderoni.
Good location
Staff not professional. Luis is very nice and welcoming guest, detailed walk through with guest. We are supposed to check out before 1PM. In the morning, we packed everything and ready to checkout, we left luggage in the room and locked door. Then we walk out to visit a museum before check out, but when we come back 12:45PM to checkout. Surprised to find the staff already open the door and clean the room, also the safe (our passport and wallet locked inside) is opened by someone (although nothing missed). Hope the staff can be more professional.
Breakfast was good. The art at the hotel was great and the hotel had character. Location was fantastic. Rooftop patio was very nice either way great view of city.
Obtaining a hot shower was challenging. Room ventilation was poor. The ceiling fan would only work with the light on which is not conducive to a good sleep. Construction noise from the adjacent property started before 8 AM every day and lasted until 5 PM most days.
Terrific location: Del Pueblito is a beautiful street in comfortable walking distance to 'tourist' sites as well as the Guadalupe neighborhood. Charming hotel in an old house. Pretty good breakfast cooked to order (never hot enough), delicious fruit platter set out. Unlimited water available which is great. Luis, manager, very knowledgeable and informative: ask him about his music!
NO COFFEE AVAILABLE UNTIL ALMOST 0830 a.m. when breakfast is served!! AND, it was not good coffee btw. At least have a coffee maker (or pod-type) available for guests when they want it! This is not difficult... also, staff prefer to serve you but when there is a full house, the nice woman working can only do 2 cups at a time... staff not pleased when guests helped themselves. Oh, well. Put a carafe on the table. Our room, BOTERO, had it's only ventilation/window on the hallway so for any fresh air, it must be left open and this can be noisy. Also, I had to go into the hallway later in the evening to turn off the hall lights, otherwise room much too bright for sleeping (forgot to pack an eye mask). No one's fault but our room butted up to a house undergoing major construction: too noisy during the day, started at 0700 and couldn't take an afternoon siesta!
The room was lovely, decoration and lovely terrace. Staff excellent, warm, friendly, helpful. Great location.
Coffee and breakfast could have been better. Also detergent used on sheets, too strong a smell
The location is excellent- a quiet street with easy walkable access to the city center, artists markets and restaurants. The rooms are all designed around various artists- lovely. The breakfast is communal and allowed groups to mix and mingle- a fun start to each day. The rooftop terrace has amazing views.
We didn't realize windows were open the first night so rooms were very cold, but we used the space heaters for the rest of our week. It takes a very long time for water to heat up for a shower, but the historic charm is the trade off!
Excellent location, nice breakfast menu featuring fruits and yogurt as well as many hot choices as well. The staff was very accommodating and the decor was homey and inviting.
The cushions on the chairs on the small balcony were dirty when we arrived. Other than that, everything was really quite nice and pleasant. Thanks to Luis for all of his great suggestions of places to visit and restaurants in San Miguel. We really appreciate his efforts.
The Casa is a nice boutique hotel with a few rooms in a great location so everything is walkable. The front desk staff were very helpful, friendly, & bilingual. The Casa was on a perfect street that was quiet and beautiful. And right across the little street is a very delicious cafe. I hope to return.
Nothing. It was very nice.
Located to the most beautiful street my opinion. The staff very helpful and kind. Our room was located directly on the rooftop it was super nice like an extension of the room.
We experienced some problems with the lock of our door. They were there to help us to solve that problem.
The room was really nice and kept very clean by the staff. The whole hotel is very well maintained and clean. The location is excellent and within walking distance to the center plaza. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
The shower needs to be updated. The sliding doors don't work properly and are in need of repair.
The host was very accommodating and offered great suggestions for how to enjoy the town. Breakfast was delightful.
A lovely location on a very quaint street, easy walk to the main action of town. Spacious room with bedroom, another sleeping area, large bathroom and seating area. Advertised as two bedrooms, but one has no doors and is the only access to the bathroom. Beds were super comfortable with plenty of warm bedding for the chilly nights. Very good breakfast options of both continental and cooked options. Friendly helpful staff.
The room leaked light and sound from the internal light wells. Mostly ok, but a few late-night conversations floated down as people returned from town. wifi was patchy; you had to be in the right place to get best reception. The bedroom/bathroom layout was a bit awkward as we were travelling with our grown up son.
This is special place to stay with terrific daily breakfast included.
Great Bed & Breakfast near the historic city center. We enjoyed our stay here.
The hotel was nicely appointed. They offered homemade breakfasts, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was convenient and walkable to Jardin Allende and the majestic Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel Church. Without any hesitation, I would stay there again.
There is no elevator. If you have mobility issues, book a room on the first or second floor. Staff did assist us with our bags upon arrival and departure, but keep in mind for your daily "in and outs".
Most accommodating staff imaginable
Perfect location. Very friendly staff. Great breakfast.
Lovely quite place on the beautiful street in the historical center
The toilet required extra tries to flush, but worked. We didn’t realize it was a walkup, but it was a nice view.
Very nice small B&B, rooms a lovely, each room with a unique decoration. Location is perfect, quiet street and just 3 blocks from the center. Great breakfast every day!
There is a need of more options for breakfast
My experience here was incredible! The staff and location made me want to return next year. We had a very good view and Carlos was a very helpful host. I would highly recommend this place as someone's first stay in San Miguel.
Loved the location - so close to everything but outside of the noisy and bustly areas - you could easily walk everywhere. Breakfast was delicious and fresh! The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. Just the right amount of space for two to three friends traveling together.
This place was great. The only thing that made it slightly odd was that you had to enter the bathroom through the second bedroom. Would almost make more sense for staff to shift the living area into bedroom number two and have bedroom number two be the living area.
Perfect location, very clean, delicious basic breakfast, very friendly staff who answer your questions and beautiful decoration.
Very clean and nice Hotel - excellent lo ation
Everything was great
It was clean. The breakfast was deliciious.
Nothing to comment
I had my small and intimate wedding in San Miguel de Allende and booked my wedding party at Casa Calderoni. We loved everything about the property -the wonderful staff, the beautiful and comfortable rooms, the close proximity of the location to the main square, and the breakfast options they give you are simple but delicious. Upon arrival my husband and I were given a room upgrade with a balcony and my husband's separate room the night before our wedding was gifted to us by the manager Luis. Him and his staff have made our stay truly wonderful and memorable! My bridesmaids loved their room as it came with a terrace overlooking San Miguel de Allende. Casa Calderoni is on a quiet but very picturesque street and is 2 minutes away from the Mercado de Artesanias and Mercado San Miguel, our favourite coffee shop in SMA Lavanda Cafe, and the property is across the street from Jacques a nice breakfast and lunch restaurant with pizza, smoothies, and sandwiches, it is also steps away from Ali Salon, El Encanto and so much more. Highly recommend! Definitely coming back!
The colonial style was amazing!
No hair blower and iron.
En general todo excelente!! 💓🌺
Beautiful converted house and a lovely room at the top. We had to climb stairs to the top but didn't mind at all since we had our own terrace and beautiful room. Also a full and very delicious breakfast was served each morning. The staff was great, especially the manager, Luiz, who helped us just about everything!
There is a fair amount of noise from barking dogs and other activities at night but this was solved with good earplugs when we were going to bed.
We had an incredible stay at this lovely bed and breakfast. The front desk gentleman was welcoming, helpful, and very kind. We felt very safe and comfortable, especially with 24 hour personnel. Rooms are very clean and charming. We also loved our breakfast and never felt a need to go somewhere else. Our wonderful stay at Casa Calderoni made our vacation at the beautiful San Miguel perfect.
Beautiful place, delicious breakfast. The staff and clients were all very nice!
Good location, pretty
Lack of elevator or help with suitcase. Breakfast too limited
The location of Casa Calderoni was excellent! Situated on the most lovely street I ventured down during my all too short time in San Miguel (I stayed 6 days). Close to El Jardin and Centro, less than a 10 minute walk. Far enough away to avoid any type of crowd or noise. Two excellent breakfast spots on same street as well (Sabor Natura and Jaques). Casa Calderoni was more beautiful than the pictures indicate. The warmth and care of Luis, General Manager, was beyond compare. He is a wonderful host and so knowledgeable regarding the area. He arranged transportation both to and from QRO and throughout our stay for various activities we had planned. Even a hot air balloon ride at 5am! My friend Susan was ill on the day of our departure. Luis ran to the store and brought her some cough drops. All of our hearts were touched by his thoughtful and caring gesture. This exemplified our experience in San Miguel de Allende. My friends and I felt welcome, cared for and safe. I will return to Casa Calderoni each time I visit.
There was nothing I did not like. My room, Vincent Van Gogh, was small, cozy and quiet. I love the terrace overlooking the beautiful city. I enjoyed several sunrises and sunsets from that vantage point. The climb up to the room was 4 flights of stairs, so it may not be ideal for everyone, but the view is worth the 28-30 steps ascent. My friends stayed in the Paul Gauguin room and enjoyed the gorgeous sunsets and expansive patio as well. We sat out there together most evenings of our stay. Paul Gauguin, is at the top of 4 flights of stairs, maybe not for everyone, but it was fine w/ my friends.
Wonderful location, people and service. Definitely recommend and will stay there again. My new favorite.
Amazing place. If we go back to San Miguel someday we will definitely stay here again.

Breakfast was nice; service was bad. The inn had a lovely appearance, and our first impression was quite positive. Nice art throughout; nice courtyard. Room was very nice and bedding was comfortable. Nice fire in sitting area at breakfast only. Inn provided bottled water.
The inn was cold, literally and figuratively, in stark contrast to the inn in Mexico City, where we also spent 4 nights. No heat in any common spaces except inside at breakfast, making the courtyard and sitting room unusable. No happy hour snacks or wine to incentivize people to hang out. The inn seemed almost deserted. To say the kitchen staff (breakfast only) were inattentive is a gross understatement. They never smiled and had an overall air of resentment. We had to ask for everything, including coffee. Another big disadvantage of the inn: one could not get coffee before 8:30 AM! The desk clerk (with one exception) spoke no English, making any assistance impossible. The sad thing about this inn is, if better managed, it could have been wonderful. Only things needed: coffee available anytime, heaters in courtyard, snacks and fire in sitting area during evening hours to incentivize people to hang out, and friendly, helpful staff with at least one person with basic knowledge of English.
Excellent location . Beautiful facility. Breakfast was really good but cook was a bit grumpy . Rest of staff especially Louis were great .
Facility should have someone else interacting with guests at breakfast . See above
I was imagining what living in SMA would be living in your beautiful Casa. We so enjoyed the quirky spaces, the pacing and the breakfasts with guests. The service was a delight. Thank you for a magical stay.
Our host Luis!! And the staff was very helpful. Great breakfast.
noting
The staff really friendly, excellent location.
Great staff, friendly and helpful. Excellent location.
The parking is extra and a few blocks from the property
Not worth the money
Breakfast and bathroom needed updating. Your wemsite should have total fees obviously indicated as a total price.
Fantastic staff and location of the place. Nice decor. Close to shopping, galleries, and dinning.
Takes too long for hot water & no heat in the room.
Luis was very helpful and informative.
Luis the B & B manager is a jewel, as he's always available to help and he has a special kind spirit that makes you immediately feel at home. The facilities are charming, and location is superb. Home cooked breakfast is served daily, the Huevos Rancheros are excellent.
Brilliant place in beautiful San Miguel
Love this exquisite B&B! Excellent location with very friendly staff. Love the property and the attentiveness to detail. I will be back again.
Felt like a comfortable family home but with security and privacy
Location was great and people were friendly.
Shower needed to be upgraded since leaked but water was perfect.
I very much liked everything about this B&B, I just wish I was known that my room did not have a window openning up to the outside.
being in a room with the windows opening to the outside.
This is a small charming hotel in an old but beautifully and artfully updated building on a quiet pretty street with little traffic. It is only a few hundred yards from the Cathedral and center of town. The staff is excellent and helpful, Excellent breakfast is includedl Room was large and pretty with a huge comfortable bed, nice bathroom and several small balconies looking onto the street and courtyard. SMA is a beautiful, fun, interesting artsy town with tons of shopping, galleries, restaurants, etc. We always felt safe.
Occasional early morning noise, more obvious because so quiet most of the time. Nothing the hotel could do about that. Coffee was the weakest part of breakfast. SMA has about 10% expats which is good and bad. Even stores that aren't art galleries or design stores look like they are and shopping options are amazing. But central stores are extremely expensive (think Rodeo Drive) and restaurant food is affordable, but wine prices are crazy. Great town and hotel overall!
The decor and setting were so comfortable. It was quiet and felt like home. The host was very accommodating and available for questions
The safe didn’t seem to work for, a minor inconvenience. The host tried and I finally gave up. He said he had a safe I could put things in but nothing was that valuable
Louis, the owner and General Manager, was wonderful! He went above and beyond to make our stay simply memorable. The entire property demonstrated his efforts. And his staff of six followed his lead. Whenever we needed advice or had questions about San Miguel and where to go to meet our needs for a best time out, he was happy to provide his input. He was always looking out for us. He made sure taxis would arrive on time. And he would escort us to the waiting taxi. He was so humble as he gladly served us well. He us feel so important to him.
My wife and I are unable to think of anything we did not like.
We loved the location of the property. It was close to the square & we could walk everywhere. They had all of the amenities we needed & were quick to help us with anything else. The staff was wonderful & attentive.

Loved the historic building, location, and breakfast.

Good room size and clean
Poor WIFI connectivity and bad breakfast service
The staff at the front guest was so nice and helpful !!!
The kitchen staff . Not friendly at all. They were always short in fruit and no fresh juice and never offer bread . They said they didn’t go to the market !!! So that is why they didn’t have more fruit
Casa Calderoni is a lovely B&B with wonderful artwork throughout. Beautiful garden area and the rooms are tastefully designed. Very comfortable with freindly, supportive staff. Grest location close to the Artisan Market, 3 blocks from the cathedral & square. The only imporvement that needs to be made is their breakfast - it is not tasty and limited offerings.
Casa Calderoni is a great place to stay on a visit to San Miguel. Luis manages the property and is very helpful with questions. The location is perfect, just a couple of blocks from the main square. We stayed in the Matisse room, which has a king bed on one room, two twins in a second room, and it has a separate sitting room for relaxing. Just outside of the suite is another sitting area for a larger group to gather. The king room has air condition, which will cool the entire floorplan. It is very quiet and clean. There is cooked-to-order breakfast and daily housekeeping.
Beautiful facility, friendly staff, nice rooms which were quiet with comfortable beds. A very nice place to stay.
The breakfast was not that good. The cereal, fruit, and yogurt was nice but the freshly prepared meal was not well prepared.
Great location about 10 minutes from the Jardin, the central square, very friendly staff
Perfect location, comfortable accommodations, lovely decor. Staff was helpful and friendly.
We were very happy with everything.
Location was great. Reccomandations were perfect.
All personnel were very friendly. The room was always clean. And the breakfast was great.
Nothing... everything was great.
