Great location, staff were friendly upon arrival. Nice to have outdoor area to sit and enjoy a drink after check in. I was travelling solo with my dog for a training weekend and felt welcome and offered a reservation for an evening meal however, had plans to meet friends elsewhere. Lovely clean room, convenient breakfast in the room as suited my situation with plenty of choice.

Slight noise outside late at night assume when closing up the bar which disturbed my dog a little but it was his first night away. Tv wouldn’t switch on which I would have used for back ground noise

It is located above a. Pub, the breakfast was left in the room with stale pastries cold pastries and terrible instant coffee the TV is old and not a smart TV, traffic noise from the road

Fabulous rooms. Spacious and really comfortable and chic. Delicious breakfast hamper. TV was cool! Dog welcoming. Lovely shower. Nice to have to have oven and fridge and handily located for the Coop.

Only thing was the kitchen sink not working.

The property has a restaurant on the ground floor and provides a good “picnic basket “ for breakfast in the room . The staff responded promptly when there was a problem with the door into our room. Our friends had no problems with their room

There was a problem with the room we had booked so we were moved into a different room which was clearly still under construction. That room had a light that was wired into the sensor on the main landing and could not be switched off in the room . At our request the staff removed the lightbulb so that the light did not go on in the room in the middle of the night. The tap and sink in the adjoining living room were not yet plumbed in and there were no curtains at the windows to block out the light

The hospitality, the staff were fantastic. Caitlin makes a fantastic cocktail. The attention to detail, both in the bar and restaurant and the bedrooms; bathrobes, Tunnocks chocolate teacakes on the tea tray.

Quirky room; but loved it! Food really good and very reasonably priced. Walking the St Cuthbert' s Way so really appreciated the continental breakfast in the room so I could get an early start.

An absolute gem of a find! A beautiful hotel in a picturesque town. The staff were so caring and chatty. Loved the attention to detail. Jedburgh was a fantastic space to explore too- so many places you could walk between and which were free! Many beautiful places to eat and see! We’d never been before, shall certainly be returning!

Room as expected, clean and well equipped. Staff very friendly and was offered a table In restaurant if we needed this one. Even though it was above a pub we did not experience any noise and had a good sleep.

We were aware of the breakfast being a continental selection it was a nice selection if you can stomach quiche, pate for breakfast, I’m sure a continental selection with warm toast and pasties could have been set up In the bar area.

It was central in Jedburgh. The room was clean and quiet and shower effective.

We had expected to eat there but restaurant was closed. Girl on desk was helpful pointing us to an alternative dining venue but at 7pm just got in by the skin of our teeth. When we returned to the hotel at 8.30. Bar/hotel completely closed up, everyone gone. We only had one bath robe. The remote control on the TV wasn’t working but there was no one to assist us. No one around in the morning, breakfast left in the fridge in our room no butter or facilities to make toast Wanted to leave our luggage so phoned twice to speak to someone about that but just an answer phone. Anyway left it and managed to raise someone in the kitchen when came to collect later

Didn't get to sleep till after 2 in the morning. After hours drinking in the Bar meant every time someone went to the loo the toilet door banged below us and the whole room shook. Included breakfast is some pastries on a plate covered in cling film in a fridge in a cupboard. No packaging so unknown age, and no allergen information

Great walk in shower, large comfortable bed with good duvet and pillows. Reception was at the bar and was open when we needed to check in which was quick and easy.

Breakast was a plate in the fridge which was in the room with a few bits of continental breakfast. Quality of the food was not great. Size of the room was ok for 1 person but might be a bit small for 2. Check out was a bit early at 10am.

The location was excellent, the staff were very friendly. The breakfast left in the room was very nice. I would recommend eating in the restaurant, the food was very good and good value for money

Lovely room and my style breakfast, Cereal, Yoghurt Crosuants and cold meats and cheese and orange Juice Lovely sitting on the balcony with a cup of coffee in the morning. Great entertainment in the evening that was an extra little suprise. Lovely little Village. Lots to see.

A perfect stopover for longer journeys into the highlands of Scotland. The food is excellent and superbly priced at £25 for the "triple treat" 3 course meal, we were genuinely surprised at the high quality of the menu and the individual dishes. Lovely to see an establishment like this in a small historic town doing so well.

I must have forgotten to mention we’re vegetarian but the way it is served and the selection and variety were great. The bed was comfy and it was a surprisingly quiet evening given the pub was full when we went to bed. Able to park right outside.

The TV didn’t work and neither did the extractor fan, and I wouldn’t agree that rooms are supplied with ‘luxury toiletries’ given there is no shampoo or conditioner

The room was way to hot . The in room breakfast was ok but the pastries etc in the fridge were not great could maybe change it up a bit stayed 3 nights so it was a bit boring after the second night maybe rethink the in room breakfast

The room was very clean, delighted with the contents of the fridge for breakfast. Everything i might have needed was available for use. I didn't book a meal from the restaurant as I wasn't sure what time I would arrive but from what I saw the restaurant was cosy and seems very popular. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

There was nothing to not like! I hope to stay there again next time I visit the area.

The breakfast was a plate of pastries covered in clingfilm and put in the fridge in the room the day before. Two types of cereal and 2 small yogurts. This was not advertised anywhere. There was no decaf tea in the hotel so I had to go to the Co-op to buy some .

Great location, it was close to where I needed to be. It's dog friendly, which was important to us. Lovely breakfast provided and the staff were lovely. Easy check in/check out and parked easily outside of the property.

We were very keen to try their food but unfortunately the kitchen shut as soon as we arrived as it was off season. But nevertheless it was not an issue - the owner and the staff gave us plenty of recommendations!

The room and property was well presented

The bed mattress was way too soft and headboard banged if you moved. Sorry but the towels quality for the money we paid was terrible so thin… please replace. Not to be offered coffee as well as tea ? Can’t understand also the brekky would have been more beneficial to have skimmed milk not full cream had to buy that …? The food was tasty but would rather have it in dinning room downstairs …? Shame.

Lovely old building dressed up fancy inside, with a really fabulous restaurant. Shout out to the chef who is cooking up magic in the kitchen and plating it up sooo beautifully. Honestly one of the best meals we have had anywhere in the world. The waiting staff were excellent too.

I like the idea of croissants, yoghurts, granola and juice in the room for a simple breakfast and get going, but the cheese and salami on the same plate under cling film was icky as the pain au chocolate and croissant smelt and tasted of salami.

We had dinner at the restaurant and it was one of the best meals we ever had. The atmostphere and the music is great and the staff are friendly. Shout out to the chef. The room and the bathroom is nice and clean, with proper heating. The teacake was a lovely touch.

Considering they have an amazing restaurant in the building, we were expecting some lovely breakfast. Instead there is a fridge in your room and you get a plate with some days old pastries and charcuterie, and milk and juice in open bottles.... very disappointing and not hygienic... They should state that the breakfast included is cold packed. (to be fair they state on the website that you can enjoy the breakfast in the room, and I should have read the reviews...) Our room was next to the main road, the window should be soundproofed IMO. The mattress was slim and not the right fit for the bed.

Situation

Over priced and breakfast was continental only ( not great if you are planning a full days hiking the next day ) and of poor quality ( cheap stale croissants that had been stored in the fridge ) which added to the feel of being hugely overpriced for what it was .

Checkin at bar so had to wait for bar staff to serve drinks before we could be checked in. No staff presence in morning and breakfast in room was a total let down. Maintenance of room not great. Lots of snagging to be done. Over priced in view of above points and parking on road.

Disappointed that no cooked breakfast on offer. Only cold in fridge in room. Though it was good and plentiful.

I did not like The size of the tv in the room. The tea and coffee table was in a very awkward position in the room so it may be a faf! I did not like the LACK OF BUTTER in the breakfast that was offered.

Breakfast was served in the room as a continental breakfast which wasn’t made clear before booking. The room and bathroom had cobwebs. The mattress was uncomfortable and turned out to be two on top of one another. The towels were tiny. The shower could only be switched in from outside the bathroom.

Welcome was very good, room was clean and tidy and had everything required. I didn't eat in the restaurant and I had eaten on the journey. Breakfast was continental and left in the fridge in the room - basic but adequate enough. Very conveniently located for what I wanted.

This is a converted building on the High St, so don't expect high end modern hotel decor etc, and expect the odd banging door and a bit of street noise, but don't let that put you off.

A great stop off base on our drive back from Scotland to Lincs. Parked right outside. Alistair and Kaitlin were so welcoming and the meal we had in the evening was wonderful - exceptional value for money too! Our room was really comfy and we welcomed the continental breakfast, yoghurts etc. Not a croissant/pan au chocolat fan normally but it worked and we left feeling full in the morning and it was actually great to be able to eat when we got up rather than wait to eat in the bar.

The host was great!

The hotel/ bar was welcoming from the minute we arrived, which was much later than intended. Our room was warm and beautifully furnished. Everything we needed was there. Breakfast was prepared in our room ready for us.

The front of house staff were most welcoming and the food at their restaurant was to die for. The Isle of Bute gin and tonic was exceptionally fine, aromatic and delicious. Their seafood pasta was wonderful, cooked to perfection and the mussels were fresh, tender and firm.

Nothing was needed to improve things as the cook, wait staff and venue was better than I had dreamed of. Jedburgh was an unexpected joy which gave us a real sense of being part of history. Mary Queen of Scots knew a thing or two about this place. It is a must see spot and the best value in town was at this place.

Friendly welcome, lovely rooms, peaceful location, easy parking, and great to have restaurant just downstairs. Love the extra balcony with the room. Very clean bright, well laid out rooms, and I enjoyed the fridge hamper breakfast process in the morning as well as the self checkout. Good choice and quality of food. Very accommodating for my vegan friend.

The king size bed mattress was quite soft which made it feel a bit wobbly but I still slept well. Being extremely picky, I don't think croissants and pastries benefit from refrigeration. They are best served warm. I wonder if there's something else to include in a breakfast hamper that would be better suited to refrigeration?

Great little place to stay with a super comfortable bed. Nice size room with good amenities and a nice little balcony for an evening drink. Or there's a nice pub with good food just downstairs. If you're a light sleeper, the room we were in isn't the best option though as the door to the pub is right below the bed. But we slept great regardless. Definitely worth the money for a nice convenient stay.
