Die Lage war Top! Direkt am Strand und der Promenade. Geschäfte waren gut erreichbar und es gab diverse Restaurants in unterschiedlichen Preisklassen. Das Personal war wirklich spitze und äußerst freundlich. Wir haben z.B. nach einer Kaffeemaschine gefragt und haben dann 5min später die Maschine, Kaffee und Utensilien in der Küche stehen gehabt. Auch nachgefüllt wurde sofort. Reinigungsservice einwandfrei. Die Wohnungen sind sehr geräumig und gemütlich.

Wir hatten wirklich nichts zu beanstanden.

The location was great, the food at the restaurant was pretty good, and the interiors of the room and lobby were nice.

From start to finish, the stay was so far below our expectations, it was appalling. The staff was not very competent (restaurant staff was slow and aloof), when one of our friends wasn’t able to come, they were not flexible on the price even though we hadn’t paid yet, our bathroom had been used when we first checked in, the plumbing was having issues and they claimed they told us the water was going to be shut off early in the morning but they did not, there was a dead cockroach in the kitchen cabinet, they tried to overcharge us for the items we used in the snack bar, and they were not very professional when we were bringing these items to their attention. Additionally, the cleaning staff was not careful with our room, leaving it unlocked in one instance and leaving the door wide open with no one around in another instance. They even stole our friends $500 cash she had in her luggage, and we noticed other reviews saying their cash was stolen too. That is absolutely unacceptable and this hotel must be held accountable.

The friendly and helpful staff, AC was super cold, room was clean, great location.

No pool, no door or shower curtain for the shower. Three levels in the room, so lots of walking up and down stairs.

Excelente ubicación...la zona mas concurrida . Necesitas vehículo para llegar a las bonitas playas de alrededores. El desayuno muy bien y la gentileza de toallas para la playa.

En nuestro caso solo que la habitación elegida tenia desniveles y nos dificultó movernos Pero el resto muy bien

We visited La Paz for the first time and chose Casa al Mar for its location in the heart of the town and the view of the ocean. The hotel staff were wonderful and accommodating, even when we had a last minute change due to flight changes. There communication was superb, and they helped us engage a driver from the airport. The hotel is charming and beautiful, and the room was better than we even expected. We had a separate living room/dining room/kitchenette and an awesome balcony looking over the ocean. We would love to stay here again any time!

Friendly staff who speak English, and Very comfy quiet rooms and great location. However the patio suite actually does not have a patio.

The street is noise at night. But yet, it is the location!

For the price, one would expect clean and of quality rooms. The AC didn’t work on the first night, maintenance was called to fix it right after we reported it faulty when we checked in the room. The maintenance guy left the main door open and a hornet flew in the room and basically told us “oh there’s a hornet that flew in” like it’s now our problem to get it out. Advertised as sound proofed rooms but they’re not. Very loud and noisy at night.

Sehr schönes Hotel, mitten in der Stadt. Viele Geschäfte und Restaurants.

Zwar direkt am Strand aber man kann dort nicht schwimmen oder baden. Guter Strand ist ca. 6 km entfernt.

The food and service was exceptional, healthy, delicious and varied. Our rental car was not available at the airport, and the staff at Casa al Mar was able to secure a rental car for us at a great price, and truly saved our vacation.

If you want to be in the action get the rooms in the inner courtyard, the rooms overlooking the ocean are on the noisy malecon with constant cars going, which is fine if you like that. It's a great location great rooms great staff

Excelente opción, y muy bien servicio. Concepto moderno y muy amplias habitaciones. Cuenta con restaurante y la playa esta justo cruzando la Avenida. El hotel no cuenta con alberca y estacionamiento este podras conseguirlo a 1 cuadra del hotel.

If you want a beautiful, comfortable place to relax this is your place. The unit was bright and comfy, great beds and there was no street noise to be heard. The staff were lovely, friendly and very easy to chat with about the area and the hotel. You will love this hotel and the restaurant next door has great food that you can have delivered right to your room or to the lovely courtyard to enjoy its beauty at night as well. Excellent choice on the Malecón center! Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Beautiful courtyard and birds singing to wake us up every morning. Great stay and we will return.

Casa Al Mar was one of the nicest hotel stays we’ve ever had! So spacious, clean and welcoming. Has a wonderful atmosphere. Only downside was we couldn’t stay longer. Their restaurant Nextdoor was also amazingly delicious!

Great place to stay!

We booked Casa Al Mar in a “Suite Al Patio Doble” room for four nights on our most recent visit to La Paz. Prior to our arrival, we accepted the hotel’s offer to pick us up at the airport. The cost was 380 pesos. The hotel manager, (yes the manager), ALEXIA, arrived on time and was professional and friendly. We arrived at the hotel in the evening, and our room was ready. This boutique hotel’s location on the Malecon is perfect. In addition, the hotel’s entrance is really nice with a boho chic vibe. Our room, Unit 1, was about 900 square feet with two bedrooms, one bathroom, a living room, dining room, and kitchen. This room did not have a view of the ocean (we booked late in the game). Upon first entering the room, it looked really nice; also decorated in a boho chic vibe. There are a lot of steps inside this room. For example, the living area is sunken from the entrance and the kitchen is sunken from the living room. The same thing occurs upstairs to the bedrooms and bathroom. People with mobility issues or children might want to consider other hotel options. Regarding the condition of the unit, it was good. The kitchen was fully outfitted for cooking, and the appliances were in new condition. We did have an issue with the safe, as it was not secured to the wall. It appeared it had been pulled away from the wall for some reason because the holes in the wall were visible. We reported the issue, and they secured the safe the following day. We also had an issue with hot water in the shower and sink. It was somewhat hit or miss; not a huge issue for us. WIFI in the room interacting with the smart TV was troublesome at times. There is no pool at this hotel. In room massage services are available for $90 per hour. Regarding the service, it was fantastic (FIVE STARS). In addition to picking us up at the airport, ALEXIA helped arrange excursions including a beach tour and sand boarding adventure for a really great price. In addition to ALEXIA, all of the staff members were friendly and professional including FRIEDA, CONCEPCION, and PRICILLA. Overall, we had a great experience at Casa Al Mar with only a coupe of minor room issues; one of which we reported, and they handled it right away. Booking in advance for a balcony room with an ocean view is recommended.

Casa al Mar is a true gem. We stayed all over Baja on this trip, and this property was the best by far. Stunning room, perfect location, world class staff! Priscilla, especially, was absolutely wonderful.

Perfect location, beautiful room, and the most amazing, friendly hotel staff. My friend and I celebrated our birthdays in Baja and one of the highlights of our trip was staying at Casa Al Mar. The front desk staff was especially friendly, kind, and helpful!

Loved the whole set up. Very convenient location by the malecon. Everyone was super friendly. We stayed in a 2 bedroom one bath suite. Great for girls trip. Could have used another bathroom but overall a great space. Not child friendly as there are hard cement and stone stairs and low balconies. One fall could hurt young and old. Our trip consisted of 2 ladies in our 50’s and our Mothers in their 70’s. We just had to make sure our Mom’s did the stairs slowly. Other than that, excellent experience!!!

The facilities were beautiful and the staff was excellent. Loved the location.

The parking situation was not ideal. It is $10.00 usd a day to park and about 3 blocks away. They lock the garage from 8:30-8 so getting your car can be tricky for an early morning excursion.

We had an interior room which was very quiet and we were right on the beautiful Malecon. It was lovely and very safe. The staff helped us with so many details that made our trip great, like recommendations, taxis and tickets. Everyone we met was friendly. We loved Casa al Mar!

I booked a 2 bedroom suite for 3 nights. Did not stay even one night. First, steps to get to the main entrance. From the entrance, steps to go up to the bathroom. Steps to go up to bedroom. Steps to go down to living room, steps to go down to kitchen. Steps everywhere. Windows have no views. Shower hot water runs out after one shower and the unit is meant for 4 guests! Requested refund of 2 nights. Manager didn’t budge despite multiple requests. Citing non cancellable policy and commissions taken by Booking.com. Tried to give me credit for future stays but I’m not from the region. Won’t be back again, so it’s useless. No compassion at all when I need to look for alternate accommodation. As this one is way below expectations. Utterly disappointing. They should have warned about the many steps. The pictures look better than it really is. Avoid.

amazing location right on the Malecon, the staff was the friendliest helped me arrange a great tour and was very attentive. I loved how pet-friendly the apartment-like layout was. It helped our group have common spaces, but it felt very much private. Will become a go-to anytime I am in La Paz.

Casa al Mar is a beautiful property that is located right across the street from the malecón. There are several surrounding restaurants, shops, and bars to choose from. The suites are amazing, with amenities such as a refrigerator, toaster oven and stove in case you want to stay in. The staff is friendly and always available if something is needed.

Staff was unbelievably friendly, bilingual and helpful. Rooms were mini apartments with nice natural lighting. Rooms towards the rear are very quiet, but know that the ocean view rooms are not so quiet. You’re in the heart of the city. Expect it and enjoy! The hotel is central to MANY restaurants and bars. We will definitely be back.

This hotel is well located. Staff was always friendly, attentive and overall, great customer service. Place does had some maintenance issues but, we were able to enjoy our stay due to staff accommodations. The hotel restaurant was great!

Excellent hotel. Room is more like a condo with a kitchen and 2 bedrooms so ideal for a family. Super friendly staff. Right on the malecon so easy walking to restaurants, tours and shops. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you!
