Perfect place to stay and very peaceful.
The best feature of the hotel is the terrace at the back. Fantastic view of lake Taal and volcano island. I doubt there are many places with better views! Being next to Museo Orlina is a bonus. Also a shout out to a nice, local food serving, restaurant, Kaye Ryan Grill, just 2 min walk up the hill. As the hotel serves breakfast only. The breakfast is plentiful and tasty btw, and you can have it on the afore-mentioned terrance enjoying the wonderful view.
If you plan to go ask them if there is construction work and/or if they have bookings for large parties. I was very grateful they took me in at short notice - when Casa Noah up the road cancelled on me with less than 24h notice. And in the shortness of time it is may be understandable i wasnt warned of either. On the saturday there was quite a bit of noise from the extension they are building. No construction on sunday luckily. But when i was looking forward to a quiet time on the terrace, i was turned back. It was booked by a private party. One that played music at a volume high enough to entertain half the town for 8 hours straight. Which makes a complete mockery of the ' keep noise to a minimum' signs they put up in every room. The guests of the private party wandering around the hotel ( presumably looking for a place away from their own noise quiet enough to talk) , brought out the worst feature of the hotel strongly. It lacks a sense of privacy. The rooms have large windows facing public walkways, with thin curtains and thinner window glass, which let you see silhouettes and overhear conversations, and make you wonder if they can see you. Absolute worst, in my room even the shower had a window like that. Not the bathroom, the actual shower.
Comfortable room with two large beds. A beautiful deck with seating right outside the room. Perfect for the excellent breakfast looking out over Lake Taal. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.
The bathroom was a little bit spartan, but adequate. A table lamp would have been good as an alternative to the very bright ceiling lights. Minor quibbles.
La vue sur le volcan La gentillesse du personnel Le petit déjeuner La grandeur de la chambre La propreté
Les rideaux ne sont pas assez occultants
Friendly staff and the balcony. Million dollar view.
Just the walk to the hotel.
This was a stunning location with stunning views. Breakfast on the balcony overlooking Taal. Rooms were lovely boutique style. Love our stay here.
Nothing !
Location is very good with great views. The bed is big with a good mattress. Helpfull staff.
There is no common room. It would have been practical if there were bedside lights. Now there was only one extremely bright light which makes it a challenge if one person tries to sleep and the other wants to read.
The view
Fresh paint fumes in the unit early killed me and dogs barking assessantly all night and construction directly next door and people outside of my room partying at midnight. Other than that. It was perfect.
Respectful staff.
A bit older designs inside the room.
I like the room it was super clean, the breakfast was really delicious with fruits serve, plus the view of the taal was really amazing. It was a great stay all in all and will surely book again.
a Little noise can be heard outside and the curtain use does not provide enough privacy. We would appreciate it if it was a total block out curtain so it can't be seen by the outside
I loved the view of the Taal lake from our balcony. The staff were very nice and attended to our needs. The rooms also came slippers which was so convenient because we forgot to bring our own.
Nothing really, except the steep hill our van needed to navigate through.
Las vistas desde su terraza y el desayuno variado, abundante y sabroso.
El horario del desayuno es demasiado tarde para mi gusto.
View of Taal Having TukTuk available only way to get around
Definitely not Disabled friendly as I enquired Shower very high to step in if disabled Pressure in shower so slow Accommodation VERY outdated Breakfast is alot but don't have bacon Dripping with fat TV remote controls all in Chinese thought was staying in China not Philippines
Det er kun udsigten til Taal Lake.
Værelset er meget lille og trang. Meget snæver at bevæge sig i.
Great view of Taal Lake and located away from the busy area of Tagaytay. Hannah was very helpful and accommodating to our needs during our stay.
It was in a peaceful location just off the main road. The staff are very friendly, the room was clean and the view of Taal Lake is beautiful!
It’s location
Rooms are a bit old and scary 😅
Staying here at Sang Yoo Mountain View hotel was such a refreshing experience. The best part of the stay is definitely the breathtaking view of Taal Lake and the cool breeze, which made the place feel relaxing and peaceful. The rooms were clean, cozy, and had the essentials for a comfortable stay. The staff were very accommodating and friendly, always ready to assist with any requests. I also appreciated how the place was kept tidy, including the common areas, which added to the overall relaxing vibe.
I chose this place because of the beautiful view and the breakfast. We will definitely come back, we really enjoyed it here.
front of lake view
poor cleanliness
Very pleasant. Good food. Nice staff.
Wifi went off a few times
Perfect Taal view Amazing
Service and food was great. Fanatic staff and boy what scenery.
Water pressure a bit low and internet averaged about 7mb download but still usable.
Breakfast is good. The staff are friendly and accommodating. We had our leftover bulalo heated up for breakfast and they helped us. The view deck is a bonus during breakfast.
The place was a bit old but it was well maintained and clean.
The location was convenient and the room I stayed in was cute and cozy. The staff was excellent and friendly. Delicious breakfast too, and it was served on the terrace with a view over the Taal lake and Taal volcano.
Decent
View was good,brkfast good
Hoped to get sleep and destress.. Impossible to do with management housing nxt to my room,I little or no sleep,no peace n quiet,Very disrespectful!! Especially when there was a posted sign IN my room to DO SO,would not recommend this place!!!!
The VIEW.😉
INSECTS.😒
Staff is very friendly, they maintain the cleanliness. I find no bed bugs. Everytime we travelled I always inspect the bed.
They don't have lampshade to keep the warm light during sleep. Therefore for our stays, we have to keep the main lights on. ( not much comfortable to the eyes) Suggestion: tone of room colours are dark hue/shade ( Dark blue and blood red ) not giving a cozy atmosphere. Hope they can change into something relaxing colour.
Friendly staff. You are treated like a family. Breakfast is quite good. Nearby to other establishments. Proximal to Museo Urlina. Excellent service.
They should have started offering simple menu anytime of the day. Brewed coffee with biscocho.
Friendly staff. Great food/breakfast. Clean place. Perfect taal scenery. Accessible to public market. Pet friendly.
None.
The staff are really friendly and attentive.
The view is amazing
The breakfast was really good at hindi tinipid, i love it.. The view was really good.
The view was amazing!
Staffs behaviour and breakfast
Toilet and bathroom need to be improved and clean
Such wonderful people. Breakfast overlooking :-)
An extra layer behind the curtain would help block out the light from the sidewalk. But everything was so amazing. I hate to mention it.
Location and breakfast
The rooms are old.
Nice free breakfast served on an observation deck overlooking the lake and volcano
Lousy view from room. No hot water in sink. No bum gun. Small tv located off to the Side of the bed
Staff who were so accommodating
The road was kinda scary coz it’s like a cliff road
The staff were friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was really good. The location was good. All In all we enjoyed our stay and think it was excellent value for money. The view was also great
Nothing to complain about
Nothing. They could use some fresh and new towels and bed linen. The shower drain is clogged up and you actually stand on standing water in the stall during your shower.ants crawling in the bathroom sink.
Room has a strong smell that was so bothersome. I just wonder how could anyone is able to have a good night of sleep. I couldn't wait for the morning to come to check out.
Very spacious room with absolutely stunning views of Taal Lake and the volcano. The hosts were extremely accommodating and made breakfast for us every day. The meals were yummy and the beds were comfy. The WiFi and shower water heater were a major plus.
The rooms had an interesting musty smell? Might be the cleaning materials.
Good lake view. Nice owner.
The view of Taal Lake from the balcony.
None
it is a direct view to Taal Volcano
The hotel and staff were exceptional and very friendly. The location was good and close to many things to visit. I would recommend this stay to others!!!
There's nothing I didn't like here and it was a good choice to stay.
the view from the veranda is spectacular. The room is well furnished and comfortable. toiletries are provided. TV worked and had a good picture. Breakfast was hot and delicious as well as being a good portion.
