All the historic paintings and antiques inside
Nothing
Exceptional suite; very comfortable bed. Wonderful breakfast. So many fascinating horse racing artefacts line the walls.
No issue, was superb.
We had stayed previously and were looking forward to the breakfast which had been fantastic, we were not disappointed.
The only thing we would have liked which was missing was a lounge/bar and ideally to have an evening meal.
Lovely
Peaceful and private beautiful
Breakfast excellent and the opportunity to eat in the main Jockey Cub breakfast room an unexpected pleasure
Telephone reception. I was seeking advice about local restaurants and rang several times when there was no reply. Eventually I got through to Philippa who promised to email me a list of recommendations but nothing arrived. I left a message chasing up but no reply. BTW - I finally booked the Indian restaurant in the streets behind and it was excellent!
Breakfast excellent - good choice and service. Very comfortable single room. Highlight of the stay was the pictures and history on show wherever you went. Parking and access to the Jockey Club Rooms very good.

Excellent staff and room, lovely breakfast
Nothing
Everything , so much history there.
Nothing.
love the building, design, style, and history behind it. Location and overall experience i had was great. definitely i will be back again.
All was good. maybe if they can do a short tour and just explain a bit about the Club and little history brief that would be amazing.
Beautiful classic building in the middle of Newmarket - more club than hotel with no reception facilities. Stunning rooms with the most beautiful panelled bathroom we have ever seen. Staff very kindly allowed us an early check-in as we had to change & dash to a wedding . Very very classy
Nothing - it was all stunning
The staff were very accommodating, especially at Breakfast. I spent hours looking at all the horse racing paintings and statues. A very unique experience
We had a wonderful stay, the location was excellent and very quiet, you couldn’t hear the high street at all. Staff were very attentive. Our room was fabulous.
Really good!
A lounge to relax in, or room menu!
I have stayed here many times and I am usually very happy with the rooms but room 9 isn’t such a good room. It’s one of the smaller rooms, the floor is very creaky and bouncy. There is only an over bath shower, the bath has quite high sides which I find difficult and the shower controls are also quite difficult to operate.
friendly staff clean lovely room hot shower good breakfast history fantastic paintings
breakfast staff over zealous with serving be a little more relaxed between serving
Vriendelijk personeel, lekker ontbijt en hele mooie locatie!
Niks, was perfect
Extraordinary place oozing quality equestrian history at every turn. Wonderful room with huge en-suite and best shower ever. Easy access to lawn and gardens. Wonderful relaxing terrace. ALL of the staff should be commended. Very helpful, friendly, efficient and immaculately presented to reflect the quality surroundings.
A shame about the noisy pub DJ a couple of doors down but not fault of the Jockey club and once outside door closed could hardly be heard.
La beauté du lieu et de la chambre
Rien
Staff, cleanliness
No air con, Thick duvet only, no signage for hotel, different name “ Chambers” when you get to the property so difficult to see where to go, no warning about trousers to be worn for breakfast so paid for it but physically not allowed to eat it, could not find bar even though they insisted on taking up front payment for it.
The beautiful buildings and location are superb with all the racing right on the doorstep. The staff were friendly and breakfast was good. The bathroom was modern, very clean and with lovely shower products.
Our rooms were situated in the Town House on the highstreet, just outside the main gates, so not within the main building itself. The rooms are large and curtains and bedlinen of high quality. But the carpets were quite badly stained in a few places which spoiled the otherwise spotless appearance. It lacks a mirror in the bedroom for drying hair!
Excellently decorated rooms and wonderfully large bathrooms.
It should no longer be the case that guests have to wear long trousers for breakfast on a 36 degree day!
The Jockey Club Rooms immerse its guests in the amazing history of thoroughbred racing in England. Staff were very friendly, and the onsite charging stations were appreciated. The rooms were delightful, spacious, airy, with modern bathrooms and a beautiful outlook onto manicured lawns and gardens. Breakfast in the formal dining room was sumptuous.
We stayed during the week so did not get to eat at the restaurant or sit on the terrace near the bar (which was also closed). This meant the experience was somewhat lacking, but because it is in the Main Street of Newmarket there were many other options for eating and drinking.
We had a lovely, comfortable stay at the Jockey Club Rooms. The staff were friendly and the facilities were excellent. We hope to retirn.
The breakfast was first rate and the dining room was lovely. So much history on display, felt like a very special venue
can't think of anything
Great Location, very helpful check-in. Great breakfast, exceptional service at Breakfast. well appointed room Great history, lots of paintings
It was my wife's birthday evening!!! Room was very hot, no aircon. Windows would only open two inches meaning we could not get an fresh air or cool air. Very noisy in the morning, 6.30am outside our window Laundry delivery, 45mins. Gardeners Lawn Mower moving ,Hedge cutter operating 7am till 9am. Not the tranquil experience advertised. Hard to get through to reception by email, slow response Only offered an upgrade in future as compensation.... :-( Not sure if we want to stay again!!! even with an upgrade
Room 1 was excellent. Ground floor, windows and door that opened onto beautifully kept lawn and gardens. Very spacious bathroom with bath and separate shower. Top quality shower gel, body lotion etc., Bed and pillows very comfortable. Visited during very hot weather, but Fan in room was adequate to keep cool. Lots of secure parking available. Breakfast choice and service great.
The character
Wasn’t informed couldn’t wear shorts for breakfast but fully accepted the situation
Unfortunately I only had shorts with me and I wasn't allowed to attend breakfast , however my wife attended and said it was great
A very old beautiful build , no air con , extremely hot , other than that it was great
The property is very old but lovely and grand!!
It was very hot for our stay and there is only a fan in the room it could do with air conditioning!! I took a small fan of my own as well so we managed to!!
Fantastisk! Vällagad, serverad på fint porslin med silverbestick i unik miljö.
Luftkonditioneringen på rummet, men huset är gammalt.
I loved the history and atmosphere, fabulous
Very helpful staff. We had a large room overlooking the gardens which was very comfortable! The breakfast was lovely and really set us up for the day.
Nothing
Breakfast was ok.
No air conditioner. Had to ask for extra fan.
Beautiful location.Lovely bathroom with added toiletries.
No Aircon or Fridge
Very pleasant place to stay. The rooms was excellent.
Nothing
Beautiful building and setting, rooms and bathrooms were huge. Breakfast was delicious and all staff were super friendly. Despite the heatwave they supplied plenty of water and fans in the room and tried to keep them as cool as they could. Couldn’t ask for more
Nothing
Beautiful inside and great location
No air con
Breakfast was fabulous, very good quality food, all freshly cooked
Nothing
The toast was undercooked and poached eggs overcooked.
I didn't like the fact that they insisted on a dress code but they let someone in with skimpy torn off shorts and tank top. Several travellers were very ordinary and also had mobile phones. Unimpressed
Ruime kamer, heel rustige omgeving. Klassiek Engelse klasse in teken van paarden en alles wat er bijkomt. Stijlvol pand. Vriendelijke en attente bediening. Lekker ontbijt.
Always the same consistency, staff friendly great decor and a quality hotel nothing like this in the area
Nothing
Staff super friendly and helpful and accommodation was great.
All good.

This was my second time staying here, and I will definitely be returning. Location is perfect as used the shuttle bus for the races and it’s outside the hotel. Room was lovely and comfortable , breakfast and staff amazing.
The hairdryer in the room wasn’t good at all. But that’s the only negative.
I loved my room and breakfast was a nice selection and very good.
The room upstairs had very creaky floorboards that disturbed my sleep.
Everything from start to finish especially drinks in the evening on terrace
Nothing could have been better
Lovely room, good location and exceptional service.
Nothing
Excellent location. Very historical and quite grand
Shame they don’t do evening meals at the moment.
The breakfast was excellent a great menu to choose from and the portions were huge. The staff were brilliant in all areas from reception to housekeeping to the service we received in the huge hall For breakfast we could not have asked for better.
None everything was excellent
Beautiful room/bathroom superb. Breakfast very good.
The property and grounds are beautiful, we stayed in the kings suite which was exceptional, very luxurious. Staff were very friendly and happy to help.

nothing was wrong with the hotel at all. Great staff and the room met my standards. The breakfast that was included was top of the line. I really enjoyed myself!
breakfast was great, rooms are full of character and large, our's opened on to the garden and was a lovely day!
A few improvements like new carpets wouldn't go amis
Beautifully furnished comfortable room. Lovely spacious bathroom. There is no air conditioning but the staff gave us a fan as the weather was hot.
No bar.

Colazione, luogo storico per gli amanti dell’applicazione, parcheggio privato, personale cordiale.
Perfect location and wonderful staff. Our room was on the top floor and the view was amazing. Nice big bathroom and a fresh cooked brekky was the perfect end to our 1 night stay.
Breakfast really good quality service great . Amazing place to stay for horse racing enthusiasts Rooms and grounds immaculate and well equipped
Nothing not to like . Great location just needed more time to explore the history of racing and the numerous pictures
Beautifully furnished. Stylist. Sense of history.
Lovely breakfasts in the lounge and the walk to the dining room through the equine photos/art was great.
The weather!!!
The Kings Suite was incredible. A seperate reading room from the bedroom. A bathroom of a size you could hold parties in. And the finest thing was a television at the end of the 4 poster bed that slowly raised and lowered from a cupboard.
Nothing at all.
The room and the ground of the jockey club
Both nights i stayed there was a group of women and men shouting and be loud out side my room and between 12 and 3 in the morning and no on did anything about it i ended leaving at 4 in the more as I was arngy about this
Excellent spacious bedrooms and bathrooms with large well maintained lawns and gardens - plenty of parking - very comfortable indeed
Nothing
It is superb and conveniently positioned in Newmarket High Street so you can access so many amenities around you.
Nothing
Everything, excellent as always!
Staying in the King's Suite is always a delight. The bar was open. The staff are exceptional. Parking and location to everything
Full English breakfast was excellent, although the fried bread has changed. Pancakes were a little cold and a tad mean on lemon and sugar - not the end of the world, as the whole breakfast experience is generally wonderful
Everything
Beautiful building and facilities and location. But it’s the staff at every stage who were all amazing and went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We will definitely be back x
First rate both service and quality
Nothing
Nice rooms with view of back garden
No access for guests to any lounges which meant only sitting area was your room. Although I was told by the receptionist that there were plenty of places on Newmarket high street to sit! Staff were quite formal and stuffy.
traditional surroundings, but clean and warm pleasant polite staff Good choice of food for breakfast
A little warmer in the breakfast room,
Large comfortable room, warm, quiet, lovely view, plenty of power points, good wifi, parking in safe area outside. Lovely style, comfortable bed. Lovely staff, v helpful. Good breakfast with wide range & lovely staff
slightly expensive
It was a beautiful building with a lot of History and the rooms had everything that was needed - staff were so lovely and welcoming and lovely breakfasts and it was on the main high Street - though the property was set back in its own grounds ☺️
It would have been nice to have a bar to be able to have a drink on arrival or before dinner but totally get it’s a members club and that is shown in the brilliant room rate ☺️
Its history, the views and the rooms are old school but luxurious. Decor is a little jaded but works well with the surroundings. Fantastic staff.
Nothing really
Fabulous location, fabulous historic building absolutely wonderful. Spacious room and fantastic breakfast with outstanding service.
Úžasná atmosféra, krásné prostory a přímo v centru města. Pokud je volný pokoj, vždy se ubytuji zde.
