It's a rather dull and dated motel but this was fine for just one night as I'd been invited to a wedding in the area.

Very noisy rooms, doors banging, late at night. Cleaners banging and moving furniture at 8am. No fridge in room, drinks very expensive. ???

The spacious room was good, clean and comfortable with good tea/coffee facilities. All staff were attentive and very friendly.

de kamer had uitzicht op de overloop waar andere gasten over liepen op weg naar aangrenzende kamers...als op hemelsbreed 1 meter afstand telkens mensen langs lopen die ook even naar binnen kijken is dat natuurlijk niet zo prettig voor het gevoel van privacy. verder is het allemaal erg basic, hier en daar oude meuk (overigens wel goed onderhouden en schoon), was ook vrij gehorig

Everything! Staff very friendly, room was immaculate and very spacious, food fantastic and location brilliant.

This hotel feels like our second home. All the staff are unbelievably friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble and they treated myself and my family so well. The room we had was a family room which was spacious and fit our needs perfectly. It was very clean and the beds are so comfortable. The location of the hotel is amazing being a very short distance from the bottom of the heath, perfect for watching the horses out exercising. We cannot recommend this hotel enough. I sometimes bring our dog too and the staff treated myself him like royalty.

The staff were very friendly, the food was well presented, tasty and plentiful. Beds and bedding very comfortable. Tea and coffee selection and hairdryer . The location very convenient for the town and gallops, and lots of horse racing related pictures and trophys around reception areas but sadly our room had no pictures of horses it was very bland.

We had a twin room one double and a single bed. The room was airy and spacious but very tired. our outlook (Room 26) was directly overlooking a petrol garage and car wash and we couldn't open the windows because of the petrol smell and lorries pulling up during the night. There was no fridge so we couldn't keep our water cool. The bathroom was very clean but there were no toiletries only a soap dispenser on the wall. The bath/shower was step in bath with a nylon shower curtain no glass screen and the bath taps were so tiny and old fashioned that I couldn't turn them with my hands as I have arthritis so ended up not being able to shower at all 😒 luckily our stay was only one night. I did mention my problem to the guy on reception on checking out and he just said I should have called maintenance but quite honestly it was early morning and my daughter was still sleeping I decided to wash in the sink. Sadly we won't be returning.

Although the booking was for 2 adults it was disappointing that we were only supplied with one bath and one hand towel in the en suite bathroom. however when I requested enough for two people the staff were quick to rectify the situation

Far too expensive for a single budget room in a Best Western, regardless of where it is. Also, the room’s window partially opens to a corridor so you’re entirely reliant on the air con. Not great.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Some hotels give you a bed for the night. Others make you feel genuinely welcome. Best Western Heath Court is definitely the second. From the moment we arrived, we felt looked after. Richard made the booking process effortless, Cheryl was incredibly helpful throughout our stay, Sarah greeted us each morning at breakfast with her lovely smile and Steve on the night desk was helpful with humour. Hospitality isn’t just a job here. It feels like it’s part of the culture. Our room was spacious, with large wardrobes, a proper fridge that you could keep bottles in, a safe, a large flatscreen TV, tea, a coffee maker and even biscuits. The bathroom was spotless with soap and conditioner dispensers, and reception happily offered anything extra we might need. The view was really lovely- different each time of day, depending on the light. We appreciated the air conditioning during the heatwave. The location is spot on. Peaceful enough for a great night’s sleep, yet just a few minutes’ walk from Newmarket’s High Street. There’s an M&S Food right around the corner, Waitrose nearby, and plenty of cafés and shops within easy walking distance. The hotel sits quietly at the bottom of the gallops. We were up early to watch the thoroughbreds training as the sun came up. It was one of those magical Newmarket moments that you’ll remember long after you’ve gone home. Breakfast deserves a special mention. Fresh pastries, fruit, cereals, and a cooked breakfast menu with something for everyone, from vegan sausages to grilled kippers and different style of eggs. The nutrition forward menu proudly described the black pudding as containing “some protein.” ✅ There are horse racing memorabilia throughout the hotel to add interest and character. One final tip… if you’re a dog lover try to meet Cookie and Newton, the hotel’s four-legged regulars, be prepared to fall in love. Warm people, comfortable rooms, a solid breakfast, and one of the best locations in Newmarket. It’s the kind of hotel that reminds you great hospitality isn’t about fancy extras. It’s about making people feel at home.

We stayed for one night as we had to attend an event in Cambridge. It was ideal for and conveniently close to the centre of Newmarket. We would use it again.

room was spacious and air con was very welcome. Communal areas looked a little tired and worn- particularly the stair wells where the wall paper was peeling off. the room itself was lovely.

we ordered a full English breakfast for my husband which came without the fried bread or black pudding. We mentioned it but by the time it came, he'd eaten all his breakfast or it would have gone cold.

The friendliness of the staff was exceptional,they made so much fuss of our little dog too. The hotel is right in the heart of the town and close to all the amenities.It was clean and well looked after.

There was one occasion when we returned and could not find a parking space.Its just a small thing but the office type swivel chair in the bedroom was more of a nuisance than anything ,we would have preferred a straight backed padded chair.

Breakfast very disappointing. Sausage was small, tough and just inedible. Bacon was chewy and cheap tasting - overall a poor English breakfast.

Comfy bed. Location close to shops and the wedding we were attending. Pleased to find there was a lift. Good breakfast, freshly cooked. Tea, coffee & biscuits in the room. Housekeeping staff very smiley, friendly and offered to help with luggage. Room very clean.

Pillows a bit lumpy, but frankly they often are in hotels, regardless of price bracket! Windows were really dated and an unattractive feature of the room. Would have been nice to have a smile on arrival. Plenty of hot water. Shower not great so had a bath instead.

Warm welcome at reception but from there it was a terrible experience. Rude staff, poor quality food and poor value for money (stay and food). It’s conveniently placed but that’s it.

Very nice staff, car park present, perfect location in Newmarket, 12 minutes by car from Rossdales equine hospital. Extremely clean and very comfortable bed.

The rooms were clean and the parking was very handy. Also it was easy to access the facilities and go out for a walk as it's in the town and walkable distance from the high street.

My husband couldn't sleep due to the doors banging. The doors that separate rooms from the halls were set in a wrong way, so it doesn't matter how much people tried to close them properly (people don't even try regularly) it banged at the end. That meant a difficult night for him.
