Riverside Whakatane Holiday Park

Everything, was close to everything/shops we needed to go amd within minutes. The bunks provided in the self contained unit was a bonus for my children as they loved them. The atmosphere at the resort was amazing. Me and my family enjoyed the experience even if it was for the night. Perfect all round

The room was right next to the kitchen. Unfortunately we had noisy people playing loud music. The bathrooms were being refurbished so we had a temporary block which was clean and close.

Did not notice the beds came without bedding but could pay for a bedding pack at the front desk which I think was either $10 or $20 which can with everything including a thick blanket.

Everything it was lovely there my kids had fun they had heaps of room to play around

Too short of a stay.

Good size

Shower way too small. The placement of shampoo body wash is bad can’t move in the shower.

Location, staff, tidiness, cabin amazing. Our rooms were warm from air con and the cabins were very tidy

The only downside was we had no shower gel in our bottle and not many face cloths for the amount of people in our cabin I only found 1.

That there were no signs to say were the toilets were and thy were a bit far frm the cabins especially on a rainy day and nite

The Go carts were fun for the children lol and fun for the adults as well.The park and trampoline kept the children occupied,which leaves you feeling relaxed enjoying the beautiful sunshine all day.The peace and quiet was the best part of the holiday.Must book another booking☺️

Hmmmm,the toilets were too far away.Needed exercise anyways it was fine.But if they were closer it would have been perfect. Driving there was my only option.

The whole stay

The 2 bedroom unit was absolutely amazing and everything was comfortable, the bedrooms, we absolutely love the kitchen it had everything we needed.

We didn't stay long enough to find something we didn't like.

Possibly could have been a bit cleaner, dusty windows and the bathroom wasn't fully clean. Didn't have bathroom soap left in the shower containers. However for the price it was fine. Thank you very much.

Another wonderful stay, when staying in whakatane we love to stay here at the holiday park.

Perfect location friendly staff 😊 very clean and tidy. Heaps of space for the kids to run and play volleyball and jumping pillow. My cabin had everything I needed. Would definitely book and stay again 😊

Holiday park was good, Kitchen needs more facilities but I think they are expanding atm. Overall a good option on a decent price.

Unit was lovely and warm when we arrived late at night. Close to town and served us well for our last minute night one stay.

Good location, tidy and clean. Pleasant staff.

Mattress was past its due date I'm afraid causing 'roll together'. No room to put a suitcase and/or to hang clothes.

Blood on my sheet. Toilet/showers could’ve been cleaned more often. Go karts were so expensive which could’ve been a pain point with the kids luckily we only stayed 1 night so could afford to do it both days only just

The water cylinder keep pumping the water make a very annoying sound. Kept me awake the whole night! The booking.com is more expensive than you book on their own website. And said pool view, but couldn’t see the pool and the pool is closed during cold season. We thought may borrow the kid cart to drive, but staff said 5:30 is too late for them to borrow that. So the kids are left disappointing. No pool nothing to play with.

Room was very stuffy and hot, seemed like it hasn't been opened up for weeks. It had mold spot, and wasn't really clean. Very old furniture Bed didn't have proper sheets on And bed wasn't comfy It started smelling like poop later in the night so we left early and decided not to stay

The thin blanket that comes with the 10 dollars set blanket/towel hired. Needs to provide warmer blanket . Had a bad sleep as I was freezing . Thanks

Camera con letti a castello non molto comodi ma molto puliti. Lenzuola non sono fornite ma sono disponibili a noleggio, pulitissime e profumate. La cucina in comune era davvero spaziosa, pulitissima e con molti accessori. Le docce ed i bagni erano puliti ed essenziali. Ottima posizione vicino a tutto

The location is perfect, 10 minutes of scenery walk to the township, parks nearby, and many places for a dip.

The first night, I woke in the early hours of the morning due to being cold. Turning on the heat pump quickly changed that situation.

The room was clean and the bathrooms were great with amazing water pressure in the showers.

This was a great place to stay. The only thing was our room was way to hot on arrival so i suggest keeping curtains closed once its cleant as we had to air room out for 2hours as air con was not sufficent enough and after a 4hour drive we wanted to relax so we went swimming to wait for room to cool down . That was the only downside everuthing was awesome. Pool was great and we liked our room

Location is great, close to town. You can walk and bike if you want to on the riverside walkway. Grounds are immaculate. Rooms are clean and fresh and bed was comfortable for the old bones :) Great place for kids, our mokopuna loved it and her cousins, who were staying there as well. The pool was a hit and the electric trikes. Plenty of room to run around. Would def stay there again!

Playground area for children. Liked the double bunk layout.

Beds too hard, could feel the wooden slats through the slim mattresses (granddaughter complaint). Cocroaches and insects including ants in kitchen crawling through cupboards. Had to wash/wipe all crockery before use. Had to throw out some fruit and put all food, including cupboard food in fridge.

There were some other inconsiderate guests, who were really loud after 10pm

I liked how the room my family & I got was convenient and near the office. Nice facilities for kids.

Limited car parking space as other people in other cabins had parked in our area so we had parked outside the holiday park, luckily we were close to the entrance.

Location on the Riverside Walkway is awesome .. only 10 minute walk to New World, or continue directly to downtown and beyond. Even better, walk (or bike) all the way along the river to its end. We enjoyed the location very much. Our 2 bedroom cabin was comfortable and VERY clean, well supplied, everything in working order, bed lovely, comfortable. Reception friendly and helpful. Lots of grassy green space around, what a lovely space for family holidays! We (a senior couple, no children) enjoyed the pool, the space and privacy, and no road noise! We would definitely return when in the area again. Highly recommend.

I would only ask for a lamp in the lounge ... so the too bright overhead lights don't need to be used .
