Location, nice grounds, quiet neighborhood away from city but walkable to restaurants and shops. Price was good. Grab available for airport transfers. Staff friendly and helpful.

The locartion is amazing. The view of the lake from our room is stunning! You won't get tired of it. I love that I am able to do morning walk around the lake with path walk. The hotel is clean, spacious 1 bedroom suite. The bed is big, the matress is firm but not hard. Soft pillow which is good. Overall I love the hotel and the place.

My stay at Sotogrande Hotel Iloilo was a genuinely pleasant and satisfying experience, largely because of the property itself. The hotel’s layout and design immediately gave off a calm and welcoming atmosphere, making it easy to relax from the moment I arrived. The property was well-maintained, clean, and thoughtfully arranged, which reflected the hotel’s attention to detail and commitment to guest comfort. What I appreciated most was how spacious and organized the property felt. The common areas were comfortable and not overcrowded, allowing guests to move around freely and enjoy the surroundings. The overall ambiance struck a good balance between elegance and comfort, making the stay feel both luxurious and homey at the same time. Being within a secure and peaceful environment added to the sense of ease throughout my visit. Overall, the property of Sotogrande Hotel Iloilo played a big role in making my stay enjoyable. Its cleanliness, organization, and relaxing atmosphere created a positive impression and made the experience truly memorable.

we only have 1 chair for a king suite, we are used in getting accommodations where wifi password can easily be found right inside the room (but was easily resolved with just quick a call at the front desk )and cable (or usually roku )are not ready to use but which was also resolved right away.

WiFi was horrible and when I asked, I was told that it was due to the number of guests they had at that time. That being said, the the day before we were to leave, they finally told me that there was a WiFi extender I could connect to and then it was good, but no one offered that to me initially so for two days I could not connect. The coffee pot in the room leaked. The bathroom sink faucet leaked around the control so that water ran all over the counter. They do not have washcloths available and hand towels are an additional charge. Glasses were all dirty with fingerprints and lip marks all over them and a few sheets of toilet paper stuffed in them. The hair dryer did not work. The grounds and walkway around the lake are not very well maintained, but that was no real surprise when the building and rooms were not maintained either.

We like the location the room was decent size and breakfast was good and big size swimming pool

The room AC was a basic type and very noisy so if you sleep with the AC it is extremely noisy we found it very difficult to sleep. The headboard had dust on it. Also some areas not clean for example the stairs had left over take aways on them and walked past the back of the kitchen to the pool there was a smell of refuse.

The room has a bad smell and the airconditioner was so noisy like you were sleeping next to a power generator. Then the water heater was not functioning.

We really enjoyed our stay in Sotogrande. We love the serene view outside, the quiet neighborhood, the clean and organized rooms, and the very accommodating and friendly hotel staff. This has been our second and longest stay so far, and when we decide to come back to IloIlo, Sotogrande will always be our next home.

Very peaceful and the lake setting is excellent and the path around the lake is good for walking.

The hotel is situated inside a fenced perimeter village so it is relatively safe. The room is clean. Wifi is working as well as the lifts. The staff were also helpful and you get free access to their pool when you get to chek-in. You can also enjou walking around and there is a man made lake.

The hotel not within the city center of Iloilo so you will have to take taxi or commute hailing services to get there. There are no stores nearby as it is within a village so it is better to bring your own snacks (food) - otherwise you will have to order from the hotel or order through delivery service. Breakfast is plated.

The staffs are very approachable, they let us keep our luggage before check in and we also left it for 3 days and it's dine. They answer the questions properly, and very professional. Thee breakfast is good and the view outside is so relaxing.

it's far from the main road we have to wait for the taxi or grab for awhile. If there are no available grab, the front desk will call and book us a taxi, this is nice.

Nice and unique place ,the lake and the garden are fantastic,so peaceful atmosphere in this Hotel.the room was enough big and the bed comfortable.

The shower is really bad. Please change from rain to telephone type. Improve the volume/speed of water. Water in trickles did not activate hot water. I had to shower using the bidet. Bathroom too small.

The restaurant was a little disappointing, the food was average at best. Nice table setting with really cheap paper napkins. Should be cloth napkins or good quality paper napkins.

The internet was so so slow that i couldnt do some of my work with it.

Booked with Expedia. Hotel wants cash only 1,500 PH peso depsit. They won't take credit card. At checkout, they don't give you your deposit unless ask for it. 15 minutes walk to malls. No ice machine, have to get it at restaurant 1st floor. Air-conditioning is window unit so a bit noisy. Staff were courteous. Beautiful scenery of lake, pool neighborhood homes. Overall it was a bargain. Would come back again.

The two bedroom suite was spacious with adequate room space and privacy. Very peaceful and calming environment. Easy check and check out process with nice staff.

No internet connection during our stay. It was my second time staying here and it’s a recurring problem. Breakfast was delicious but we waited for more than 30 minutes for the food to arrive.

I stayed two separate nights. First room had a broken showerhead with no curtain. Water everywhere. Second room was fine, no complaints.

The wifi was terrible - especially when you are in your room. It requires an upgrade; it was highlighted in previous reviews but remains an issue. The room we stayed in was a two-bedroom suite, not very clean as it was dusty and had a webby ceiling. I informed the front desk, and the issue was addressed immediately.

We love the silence in this place. Very ideal for a retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city, a good place to relax, take a walk and engage with the nature :-)

air conditioning is loud disturbing for sleep, safe deposit box doesn’t work at all!! they are not flexible with their rules!! Request for perks like lake view or early check in they would like additional money for it!! we arrived 10:30 as we were very tired from our long flights!! For 2hours advance check in they like a full room payment for it!! crazy!! This is our 2nd time stay as my husband liked it here… maybe next time we’ll look around!! When ordering food at their restaurant, very limited, food that I liked all are not available😏🥴

We checked in at 1:30 A.M. and checked out within a half hour, completely disgusted with the dirty, bug-infested room, which probably speaks for the rest of the hotel.

The surrounding area was lovely and all the staff were fantastic.

The problem I had was noisy rooms. First room, located next to the ac unit or some pump or something. Very loud all night. Second room was on the second floor which overlooked reception where they started playing music loud at 6.30am. Not a good place if you want a longer sleep on your holiday. Last room was great. 4th floor away from all noise. Staff were very accommodating with my complaints and got it right in the end.

The place was really relaxing and picturesque. The outdoor lakeside picnic was an enjoyable activity whether as a family, couple, or group of friends. Also, the air was refreshing and the waves from the manmade lake was soothing.

The wifi and internet speed were really a letdown. Some of the toiletries were incomplete in the bathroom. It was a good thing the hotel staff was kind enough to deliver the missing toiletries to the room.

From the booking to the stay everything was perfect.

The room did not turn out to be the one that I booked as I booked a king suite with balcony but the room I stayed in was not a king suite. But the room was fine and the service was faultless.

The overall scenery of the hotel. I also like how hospitable the staffs are, always greeting you when they see you.

For some weird reasons, their wifi is kinda annoying. We had to go to the ground floor just to have a good connection. And the location of the hotel is kinda far from the main road but it's tolerable.
