City Sailing

Afternoons on the top deck with a cold drink watching life on the water. Quiet location but public transport and shops in easy walking distance

It was great

Toll ausgestattet, super sauber, kuschliges kleines Boot, sehr freundliche Leute

Really cozy boat. It is a bit small but is just like the pictures. It was a good experience.

The access to the boat can be a little bit challenging.

Voto 10 !!!

Loved having our own space - much better than a hotel. It’s compact, but has everything you need. The little deck area is good for breakfast or for watching the lights along the harbour at night. If you’re brave, you could go for a dip in the water. We never did, but saw a few swimmers. Jasper and Eva are so friendly and very helpful. I’d definitely recommend staying here. We were looking at flights back before we’d even left. :)

My boyfriend is quite tall, so he wasn’t able to stand fully, and the shower was a bit small for him. He said he’d go back though and loved being on the boat.

De sfeer

Alles war super. Ausstattung, Details, Sauberkeit, Lage, Vermieter.. alles top!

We absolutely LOVED staying on the boat. Such a lovely, quiet area, and the hosts were exceptionally welcoming and friendly. There is a great supermarket and tram links into central very nearby. The boat was so comfortable and well-equipped with everything we might need. I was particularly impressed with the shower facilities, having not expected much from a small boat. We are sad to leave and would visit again in a heartbeat.

Awesome accommodation, highly recommend it. Beats any hotel room hands down

The location gave us further insight into life on the water in Amsterdam away from the city centre itself. The tram and bus services were excellent. The water life habitat combined with small urban habitat, including schools and local shops and bars produced a good outdoor safe feeling vibe. Our Hosts Ely & Jasper were not intrusive, spoke great English and so so helpful with the journey logistics and the boat logistics. Lovely people.

Considering we chose a boat I can't criticise the size of the toilet and shower, it was a boat, and it was small, but for two of us on a short stay, not having much boat experience we didn't expect anything more. The boat was fabulous.

It was at a beautiful location. We especially loved the deck of the boat where we had a beautiful view in the evening. It was small but very comfortable.

Great location, lovely host, adorable boat, beautiful neighbourhood

Not for everyone - no shower, toilet is next to bed with no separating door, toilet requires hand pumping. Didn't bother us though, we loved it

Very Good

super nice location at the border of zeeburg with a wide view. cosy little boat. Very friendly and helpful hosts.

just a bit of things I didn't expect: I was a bit too tall for the boat (173) so couldn't stand up everywhere. there was no warm water from the tap; you needed to heat it with the cooker. The toilet is next to the bed.

Loved the more quiet neigborhood and the fact that you have wonderful view. The owners were very friendly and helpful. It was cold outside so bonus is the heating.

The boat could have used some pimping/cleaning up a bit and some useless stuff was laying around the cabin. The cabin was advertised with shower possibilities, but there was none.

It was really an exceptional experience to live and sleep on a boat. The boat is cozy but spacious enough to chill, have a good sleep and not feeling limited/cramped at any point. The host was very nice and coffee/tea and even a bit of chocolate was provided for free. We really enjoyed it and can recommend it. If we go to Amsterdam again, we will stay here again.

At first the Wifi didn't work, but after contacting the host, the problem was solved very quickly and easily. At one night, a Mosquito was annoying me, so maybe keep in mind to bring some spray/protection against it.

We had the best time on 'city sailing' and awesome service!! Eva and Jasper were so friendly and they were available all the time. Whatever we needed we just had to ask them! We really enjoyed our trip and the experience on the cute little boat!!

Nothing

Really fun experience!! Super comfortable bed and lounge for sleeping. Was always warm and cosy. Good location, just outside of the city and an easy tram in. The man who owns the boat which City Sailing was really nice and super helpful

Didn’t particularly like the pump toilet but that’s what you get on a boat

Definitely an interesting experience 😁 Loved the gentle rocking of the boat and the privacy the boat gives. I could also work from there no problem. I had space for my computer and my legs 😅

There is no shower. It wasn't an issue for me or my friend. We managed 😄 There is a bucket and fresh water on the boat, so you can clean yourself up on the deck at night for instance.

Really great experience. Jasper is nice, helpfull and funny guy. It IS extraordinary experience.

If you arrive by car, It is quite hard to park there. Parking in front of boat is really expensive or you could pay cheaper rate but have car on thé other side of Amsterdam.

Rustic and unique adventure on the water . Owner very helpful and sleeping on the water was great, as well as the view at night.

You have to climb over another boat to get to this, but that's part of the adventure. Not a luxury stay/boat for those requiring more creature comforts, but it had what we needed and nothing beats sleeping on the water.

Wonderful quiet, gorgeous architectural neighbourhood

Nope - it was just great!!!

Lovely little boat and convenient for the city, comfy bed and great staff, will be back

If you get sea sick I wouldn’t recommend

Adventurous and unique

Hard to find at first

The size of the bed and the room temperature were perfect, the room has a heater that works really well. The toilet was just fine and the kitchen had the most important/basic stuff. The owner is super nice and kind. The best part, was definitely the price.

It's a boat, so don't expect anything like a hotel room. The experience if you've never stayed at a boat is nice, with the gentle rocking of the waves, but if you're used to it, this might not seem very appealing. The place is very small and getting there is quite something, so prevent heavy drinking when staying here.

Warm welcome from Jasper, excellent views from the boat! Very comfortable bed with more living space than you think from the pictures. Tram 26 takes you to central Amsterdam near Central station. Thanks Jasper 👍🏻

Although you can travel from the boat back to centraal within 30 mins via tram 26 I personally prefer a more immediate location to central Amsterdam and coffee shops ect

The neighborhood was great. The waves swung me into sleep - amazing!

It was a nice experience spending the night in a boat

What a great experience!! My daughter loved it As advertised Great location Great host

Can't think of anything

This is a small yacht, on the water. You can watch the big river barges go by. I was sitting out at 6 am on a cold morning and a river swimmer went by and said Gouie Morgen. Public transport was ok, you have to walk the last km. The supermarket is 1 km away. There is no hob, only a microwave, so you won't be doing any gourmet cooking. But that's the only real drawback. It's really beautiful. I haven't got my land legs back yet, the room is still swaying.

Not having a hob to cook on.

An excellent alternative to hotel stays. Great to stay off the tourist trail. Easy access to everywhere with QVB stops a few minutes' walk away. And the Ocean pub cafe just over the bridge serves great food too.

If you're not familiar with small yachts or with your partner, you might find the toilet facilities awkward 😳

Kind host, flexible arrival. We arrived late and left early in the morning so we didn't have the time to fully appreciate the experience. It was very special! Not recommended for long stays, because of the luck of shower.

unique stay for three nights! lots of fun

If you cant sleep with a rocky boat then I do not recommend it.

jasper the host was so friendly and welcoming

pump toilet had no door between bedroom - but that also comes with the charm of the boat

The boat nice and clean, really close to central Amsterdam. Hosts super nice and helpful. We've had a lovely stay, totally recommend it!

The area was lovely and trams easy to get

could do with a little bit more kitchen wear for the microwave/ oven

Experience!

We weren't quite sure what to expect but it was a fun experience. The hosts were super lovely, the space is spartan but well-kept inside and outside was a little tired but good enough to enjoy the canal on. The neighbourhood is quiet, very close to all the services we needed.

We didn't have bags with us. Suitcases may have been challenging to bring on the boat.

Beautiful spot on the water. Hosts were very accommodating and had a wonderful time exploring the city.

Space was tight but we know that ahead of time :)

If you want to experience Amsterdam in a different way then this is it, good for 2 People but no shower so you will need to find an alternative maybe a Swim 😂 I enjoyed my stay there and Amsterdam is Brilliant 👍👍😎

We liked the little boat alot, it was no joke to get on it though.

Very tiny cabin but well-equipped! Do not bring large luggage. We enjoyed the beautiful weather in day time and were fascinated by the starry night sky at night. Since there is no shower facilities we only stayed for a day, but this is absolutely a stunning experience. The owner of the cabin was very helpful and considerate.
