All the basic facilities were there, like safe, TV and mini fridge. Very good shower and large TV screen. Also, the gym was excellent, which was a real surprise. Good breakfast. Location near city centre. Reasonable price. Good for just a one night stay.

The staff were not very helpful and failed to inform me of an important fact, that data SIMs don't work in the basement, which is where the no-window rooms are. You must log into the hotel WiFi to get internet down there. Room was a little depressing and very few good TV channels. Breakfast was good but would have been better if there had been a proper buffet for all stages. Although near the city centre, the location was disappointing, being in the heart of a nightlife and pub (mostly Irish) area. They also took a £50 security deposit, which I've never had to do before.

Very central which was handy for us to do our shopping. The staff are really lovely and very helpful towards us. We had breakfast one of the mornings. It's was so tasty and the staff yet again were really friendly .

We booked for 3 of us to stay For 2 nights. when we got into our room there was a double bed which me and my daughter stayed in and a single bed shoved underneath the TV and against the dressing table which meant we couldn't avail of either the TV or the dressing table. Thankfully This was sorted out the next day on request and we were given a larger room . Unfortunately there isn't any air con in the rooms and the fans provided just didn't do the job. The heat made it impossible for us all to sleep. Other than this It's a lovely hotel with really friendly staff.

The barrier at the end of the balcony was missing, meaning that guests staying in the room next door had access to my balcony. Since there was no A/C in the room, I didn’t feel safe sleeping with the balcony door open, particularly as this was during a heatwave. As a result, I was unable to sleep comfortably.

Location is amazing for exploring the city bars & restaurants and the staff were very efficient and helpful.

There is almost no lighting near any of the mirrors in the room or bathroom, so you basically need to do your make up/contact lenses in the dark. :-(

I hadn’t read reviews, and booked the hotel last minute while extremely jet lagged. Had I read reviews, I would have booked a different hotel in the city centre. I flew in that morning, and booked because I wanted a quiet night of calm before traveling further for family medical appointments.. I didn’t get it. I was awake all night because my room (109) was opposite Concert Square, and thumping music played until 4:30AM. I finally gave up around 3am and checked out not too long after.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming, felt like they went above to accommodate most requests. There was a decent selection at breakfast, and food arrived quickly. Very clean hotel reception and rooms were immaculate, with the bathroom also having mini toiletries.

Due to the location of the hotel, which I hadn't realised was a bar and club area of Liverpool, there was quite a lot of noise you could hear at night. Also no aircon within the room.

Well what can I say the only the thing I didn't like was the council cleaning the streets at 6am but other than that the hotel was brilliant. Oh it would be good if the room had some shower gel as I forgot ours.

Excellent Breakfast choices and service, bar area, and location. Lovely room with comfy bed and fan. Everything looked new and spotlessly clean. Staff were helpful and friendly.

My bathroom had shower over the bath which I struggle with. In future I will remember to ask for a walk in shower. My room was at the front and noise from night club across the road disturbed my sleep on first night. On our first evening we had a quick drink in the bar but there was a very drunk man in there making a nuisance of himself which spoiled it. He should not have been able to get served with alcohol in my opinion.

The issue we had was the room was roasting hot with no aircon and even with the window / balcony door shut - the noise from nearby bars and clubs was relentless, the windows were vibrating! The dressing gowns both smelt stale!

If you get a room facing Seal street it gets very noisy till late at night/early morning.

Right in the centre of the busy downtown district with plenty of bars, cafes, pubs and clubs basically right next door. The rooms are very spacious and contain everything one might need (desk, safe, kettle). Clean and spacious bathroom. Excellent value-for-money. Train station, sights (e.g. cathedral, waterfront museums) and shopping centre are reachable within less than a 15 minute walk.

We had lots of problems with our key cards during the stay: we had to get them renewed two times (plus one renewal that did not work at all and meant another trip to reception) and initially only were given one for two people.

Kamer was fijn, ruim, goed bed.

Badkamer heel klein en de wc bril paste helemaal niet op de wc! Er lag nog een pizza doos naast het bureau van de vorige gast, over het hoofd gezien door de schoonmaak. En dan de mega herrie!!!! Die disco eronder, niet goed geïsoleerd dus, niet te doen, keihard en tot half 6 herrie, dronken lui door de straat. Zorg voor geluidsisolatie.

Spotless, comfortable, great size room, helpful staff, very hearty and tasty breakfast at excellent value if booked at reception or before arriving. The room we were booked in to was on the street side, so quite noisy at night (only to be expected in a lively city), but the lady at reception let us change rooms, which was so much better.

Would like more lighting in the room. Other than that, perfect!

Por resumir: tuvimos que irnos a otro hotel a la 1am de la mañana porque la habitación estaba a 40 grados por lo menos ya que el hotel no tiene aire acondicionado en las habitaciones. Intentamos por todos los medios durante HORAS obtener una solución por parte de los empleados de recepción y no la obtuvimos. Las ventanas no se pueden abrir por protocolo antisuicidio, pero los áticos tienen un balcón al que se puede acceder. Juzguen ustedes mismos. Cuando al día siguiente nos personamos en el hotel para hablar con el director, resulta que nos ofrece abrirnos la ventana para la segunda noche, cosa que obviamente rechazamos porque ya estábamos en otro hotel con aire acondicionado. Luego empezó un proceso de 12 días para conseguir que el hotel me devolviera el importe de la segunda noche como acordé con el director. Un auténtico calvario en el que tuve que llamar cada día a booking y al hotel porque ambos me daban largas. Al final lo conseguimos pero jamás recomendaría este hotel ya que los empleados del turno de noche eran plenamente conscientes de que la temperatura de las habitaciones estaba poniendo en riesgo la salud de los huéspedes y les dio absolutamente igual. No llamé a la policía porque no estaba en mi país y desconozco los protocolos, pero es una situación totalmente denunciable.

We had a very good stay at Ropewalks Hotel. The location is one of its biggest advantages - it’s right in the city center, just a short walk from Liverpool Central Station and within easy walking distance of restaurants, bars, shops, and many of the city’s main attractions. The room was surprisingly spacious for the price we paid, making the hotel a particularly good value. The staff were also very nice and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, it’s a great option if you want an affordable hotel in a central location without sacrificing room size or comfort.

We were on the front of the hotel on a Saturday night. There is a club opposite which played music until 4am making it difficult to sleep. Also no bottles of water in the room.

Gorgeous Hotel and Perfect location!! Rooms are spacious, modern and the bed is so comfortable. Shower is great too!! . Hairdryer provided which is pretty good compared to other hotels. All the staff we came into contact with were exceptionable, professional , friendly and always smiling and greeting you as you came and went. Check in fast but does require a £50 deposit. Can’t comment on food offerings as chose to go out to eat each day. Easy to get Ubers/taxis from here. Overall amazing stay and will be back.

We where on the basement floor First night was grand as there wasn’t any other people staying near our room 2nd night was kept awake with the noise of the water Every time you used the toilet, sink or shower the whole floor shoke and made an awful noise It stopped as soon as water stopped in our room but it was still very noisy in another room which went on for a good while I wouldn’t stay on basement floor again, def on a higher level next time

Location is brilliant, right in the centre of town, 5 mins walk to train station, bus stops 150m away, range of restaurants and bars only a stroll away. Breakfast is great for this range of hotel, loved the Eggs benedict, good choice of breads and pastries. Only issue for me was Coffee, they said machine was broken when we stayed. Staff very friendly and helpful.

The hotel does not have a/c in the rooms and we stayed during the Open golf week when temps were 30 degrees C, so room was a mini-sauna. To be fair the hotel provided fans, but I'm afraid their impact was negligible.

Staff were poor., bordering on complacent. Our room faced very noisy street. Noise continued until 3am. I spoke to staff, who didn't apologise or acknowledge issue. When booking this room, it should come with warning noise is loud on Saturday nights. I don't know how many rooms face Concert Square, those that do would have same issue. You are paying premium rate for these rooms.

Lovely hotel, friendly syaff, clean rooms and right in tje center of nightlife. Perfect for our hen night. Hotel was modern with a bar downstairs and also an adjoining cocktail bar next door.

No air con, room was far too hot. The fan we initially had was small and not doing anything. Found it really difficult to sleep on the first night. They swapped our fan for a larger one which helped but was still hot! Lighting was really bad, we struggled to do our make up, no mirrors had a light above. The dressing table mirror had a button to light it up but it lit up from behind so didn't help at all. Wouldn't put me off going back though.

No aircon , absolutely red hot , you can’t open the windows and the little fan they give you is useless, it’s like being in a sauna . Also the noise from the pubs and clubs on a Friday and Saturday night go on till well into the early hrs , so if ya on the front you’ll get next to no sleep whatsoever

Very close to pubs/bars, extremely noisy, rooms are not double glazed. Ear plugs were available it didn’t drown out the music or late revellers on the street.

My key card stopped working on a number of occasions and I had to keep going back to reception to get them to fix it. One of the towels in the bathroom was dirty and had brown marks on it. There was a mini fridge in the room which was dirty and clearly hadn't been wiped down inside. There was no air conditioning in the room.

The location was great. Room was good size.

The towels were old and had holes in, frayed edges.

Optima localização. Funcionarios prestaveis. O quarto inicial que reservamos encontrava se na cave, o que fazia com que não houvesse rede nenhuma. Por motivos laborais necessitavamos de ter acesso a rede, pelo que explicamos a situacao aos funcionarios e resolveu se sem problema.

Due to weather it was very hot in room we only had 1 fan that wasn't keeping the room cool I did ask for another one but they said ther wasn't one the window only open about 3"with a big desk in front wasn't happy at all

We noticed that because we booked quite early, we paid much more than we would have done if we'd booked a couple of nights before the stay. Bit disappointed with this, but the room was great and the balcony amazing!

leider waren wir im dritten Stock während warmen Wetters kaum in der Lage zu schlafen, da die Zimmertemperatur viel zu hoch war. Das Zimmer konnte man nicht lüften, da das Fenster nur sehr beschränkt zu öffnen war. Es gibt keine Klimaanlage.
