There was no lounge/bar area and my room although comfortable had a window with a brick wall directly in front of it, the bathroom overhead lighting could have been closer to the mirror and the TV only had very basic channels - I watched re-runs of Bake Off with Matt Lucas and Noel Fielding which was entertaining if 10 years old!

Location was great. Price was good and the staff were lovely.

Not a lot. Probably wouldn't stay for more than a few nights because there's not much in the way of services but I don't think its a long stay place anyway.

The location is in the centre of the city so you can walk to most of the city's attractions, shopping and night-time attractions. It is in converted Georgian houses and is nicely decorated. Duke Street is very "urban", with mixed use of premises as well as other hotels and apartments. The room was a good size and the bed comfortable. The staff on reception were great. The duty mananger was very attentive when I had a problem with the TV.

I was on the top floor. It was a hot day and my room was very hot. There was no a/c just a fan which was about as effective as a hamster's cage at moving air around. At a different time of the year it might not be a problem. Don't open the net curtains! The view at the back of the building is grim.

I had a room with a broken window. I brought this to the staff's attention. They couldn't shut the window so just left it. It was so noisy in the room that I left during the night. I went to the 24 hour reception but nobody was working so had to leave. They contacted me to offer a refund but are now saying they don't do refunds?? Appalling

An inability to rectify an untenable situation. The noise outside was so loud that I couldn't sleep a wink and this was mostly due to the fact that staff couldn't be bothered to simply fox the window. Absolutely furious

As soon as we walked through the door we were greeted by lovely friendly staff. The check in process was easy and informative. We were shown to our room which was spacious and clean. The bed was big and very comfortable. The hotel is close to lots of bars and restaurants. We would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Great entrance and reception area was nice. The lady with the pink hair who greeted us was absolutely lovely. Very polite and welcoming. I liked the decor and style of the hotel, very 1920s deco / twin peaks. Very easy to find and get to too.

Our room was right above the kitchen vents so the smell of food came in through the windows and made our clothes smell. The cleanliness was not up to par, everything was so dusty. The tiles in shower room were cracked and dirty with no shower curtain/divider so the whole of the toilet got soaked. I opted for a late checkout at 12, yet cleaner entered our room at 11am still and walked in the room. This should have been communicated beforehand.

No tiene ascensor, aunque fueron muy amables y no supieron el equipaje. Mucho calor en la habitación, había un ventilador pero el ruido era molesto. La verdad es que son ciudades que no están preparadas para el calor que está al fondo.

No cold water at all so cleaned teeth in warm water and put warm water in coffee machine. To be fair they supplied 2 bottles of sparkling and still water

The room did not match the photos and was located in the loft, which made it extremely hot and difficult to sleep. The ceiling was very low, so we had to keep bending down to avoid hitting our heads, and the shower was broken—the height could not be adjusted

Quirky hotel,right in the centre of Liverpool,staff were really friendly and full of smiles when we arrived / left ! Room was perfect and even had the fan on for us when we arrived with it being so warm out !

Lovely welcome at reception & well appointed room

I was in one of the upper room and it was hard to keep it cool in summer - really could do with a heat pump to regulate the temperature.

It’s a beautiful old Liverpool town house in a brilliant central location . Nicely decorated and welcoming.

Sadly no air con on a very hot day but I’m sure that’ll happen as it’s a fairly new project I think.

I liked how cozy and quiet it was.

Wasn’t a fan in our room so was a bit hot but other then that was a lovely place to stay.

Room was 4 star hotel quality with low price, will come back to this property, location is excellent.

Very minor issue, room was a bit warm but more to do with the weather. Fan was provided and this kept me cool so slept very well.

Excellent location for centre of Liverpool and tourist attractions, good restaurants within easy walking distance. Staff, without exception, were a delight. Nothing was too much trouble, genuinely nice people.

The hotel is tired and our room, at the top ( 53 stairs up five flights - no lift ) was very hot indeed during a spell of very hot weather, with totally inadequate ventilation. The mattress was worn out and uncomfortable, en suite bathroom facilities poor ( lacking a shelf near the basin so where do you put a toothbrush ? Likewise no soap dish in the shower - all basic stuff in a hotel room anywhere at this price ). No meals available, we're happy to eat out in the evening but it would be nice to be able to have breakfast on site. In theory, breakfast may be available in the adjacent Italian restaurant. In practice, it was never open at that time of the day during our visit.

Room was smaller than I expected. No cold water from tap in bathroom, shower tray overflowing onto bathroom floor.

Location to Albert dock.

Rooms where far too hot. Had to change room as the loft room was like a furnace, No fridge in room, towels were frayed on eyes, holes in them and two different sizes. Grubby carpets. Decor didnt look finsihed (tiles around door). Dust from having a circulation fan all night, made my asthma kick off.

Second time staying here, first under the new management. Location is ideal, our room was fantastic - spacious and clean, with everything we could possibly need. Had a very decent sleep, even with front facing windows the noise wasn't too loud and the bed was comfy, although it could do with a bed bridge.

Great location near the pier head building, lovely italian restaurant attached to the hotel. ( 10% off for residents) The staff were very helpful, bed was comfortable.

Parking is a bit of a problem in Liverpool city centre.

Staff were friendly and very accomodating at the venue to ensure we were comfortable due to the hot weather. Room was nice, clean and tidy with free water on arrival. Would use again.

No lift if you did have lots of luggage but luckily did not and was fine.

Staff are all very friendly and so helpful. I forgot my phone charger they gave me the me to use . Also the room wasn’t ready so they gave us a late check out . I would stay again !! Lovely staff .

Rooms are extremely hot, a big fan is provided however it’s still very hot. So much so, there’s not even. Cold water from the sink taps. The bathroom flooring is very hot so must be pipe work underneath thats the issue. Desperately needs AC

The heat in the room was unbearable, we were in the attic. Even after getting a fan, it still made no difference. Because it was so warm, we opened the windows. Which was a nightmare as the birds were all over the roof. Pillows were awfully lumpy.

Staff was so friendly and went out of their way to help.. bed was very comfortable and the room was lovely & stylish..

The noise! Someone decided to use a vacuum cleaner at 7 am, this didn’t sound very professional. Also pigeon noises were consistent and I think I also heard mice noises outside my window (ground floor)😖
