Erg mooi en romantisch resort. De omgeving doet lijken alsof je in de jungle zit. Ook het zwembad is een fijne plek om te chillen. Het huisje was lekker ruim, alleen moet je wel het pasje in de houder laten als je vertrekt, anders stopt de airco met werken. Ontbijt was zeer uitgebreid en lekker. Een goed begin van de dag! Let op, ze schenken hier geen alcohol. Dus wil je graag een lekker biertje na een dag vol activiteiten, dan moet je die elders halen. Gelukkig heb je een hoop tentjes om de hoek waar je een biertje kunt drinken en lekker kunt eten. De locatie is dus top en het resort verzorgd ook activiteiten, zoals de safari, voor een goede prijs.

Ze zijn aan het renoveren, dus kan de rust aan het zwembad wel eens verstoord worden. Daarnaast staat er weinig druk op de douche en lijkt bij wat langer douchen (>5 min) de warmte ook weg te vallen. De airco had soms moeite met het koud houden van het huisje, waardoor het binnen alsnog 28 graden was.

Das Palmyra Nature Resort ist eingebettet von wunderschönen, tropischen Pflanzen und Blumen.Es besitzt einen großen, sauberen Pool mit Poolbar. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und sehr schön eingerichtet. Die Klimaanlage funktionierte sehr gut. Das Frühstück war hervorragend und ausreichend. Palmyra Nature Resort eignet sich mit dem wunderschönen Pool und den tollen Sitzgelegenheiten sehr gut um sich zu entspannen und ist auch für Familien mit Kindern sehr gut geeignet. Der Bruder unseres Gastgebers hat ein tolles Lokal im alten Sigiriya wohin er uns gefahren hat. Jederzeit wieder!

Die Lage war toll, unser kleines Häuschen war toll und auch der Pool war großartig.

Das einzige Manko war die Klimaanlage. Sie funktioniert einwandfrei nur leider ist sie sehr laut. Ohne Klima werden die Temperaturen Nachts im Zimmer sehr tropisch. Ansonsten können wir die Unterkunft zu 100% empfehlen.

Excellent stay at the resort. Staff are welcoming and friendly, they offered to take us into town and pick us up which was very useful. Breakfast is nice, other reviews suggest drinks are expensive- they are the same as everywhere else. The lady at the bar was friendly and attentive, would recommend staying. The pool is great and it is wonderful being surrounded by nature.

Wirklich ein tolles Hotel in einem schönen Gartengrundstück. Wir hatten die Suite mit kleinem Privatpool - sehr cool, dort zum Entspannen einzutauchen. Auch der große Pool ist toll, mit freundlichem Service an der Poolbar. Insgesamt toller Aufenthalt mit netter Crew. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Touren in dieser tollen Ecke der Welt.

Das Hotel liegt recht weit zurückversetzt an einer kleinen dunklen Straße, daher Taschenlampen oder Tuk Tuk/Driver für einen Restaurantbesuch erforderlich.

Es war super! Sehr liebevoll angelegte Anlage.

The swimming pool was great and the staff helped with our early check-in. The breakfast was excellent.

It was a shame they didn't serve food outside of breakfast, however there were places that delivered.

Das Frühstück war richtig lecker. Es steht jederzeit ein Tuktuk zur Verfügung, der uns ins Zentrum gebracht hat und wieder abgeholt hat.

Die guten Zeiten hat das Resort leider hinter sich. Wir hatten das Zimmer mit dem Private-Pool. Das Wasser was trüb, der Föhn funktionierte nicht, der Schrank ist auseinandergefallen und das Klo war irgendwo undicht.

El sofá cama era incómodo. No era un sofá cama al uso, era un sofá que se hacía más grande, por lo que no tiene propiamente un colchón. La habitación para 4 personas es bastante justa, para dos días está bien pero para más no.

Il resort è davvero bellissimo, immerso nella natura e completo di tutto ciò che si può desiderare. Il personale è stato super disponibile e attento a ogni nostra esigenza: ad esempio, il phon in camera non funzionava e in meno di 10 minuti hanno risolto il problema, dimostrando grande cura e attenzione nei nostri confronti. La stanza è molto spaziosa e confortevole, mentre il resort è un vero e proprio paradiso, soprattutto grazie alla splendida piscina e alla natura circostante. La colazione è sempre stata abbondante e varia, con un’ottima scelta sia di dolce che di salato. Ci hanno anche organizzato un tuk tuk per raggiungere Lion Rock all’alba e ci siamo trovati benissimo. Un soggiorno davvero piacevole, reso ancora più speciale dalla gentilezza e dalla disponibilità di tutto lo staff.

Lovely family villa, clean with good air con and a mini fridge. The pool was heavenly, and it was very close to Lion rock (walking distance) and a quick tuk tuk to Pidurangala. Staff were friendly and accommodating. We really enjoyed staying here.

There is no focal reception point so we weren’t always sure where to find someone if we had a question but a quick walk round and there was always someone around to help. It is a family business, and they were all keen to take good care of guests.

Palmyra resort was outstanding and you should book here. The family that owns and runs the resort are very kind. The room was spacious and we could sit out on our porch. There was hot water and a clean bed and indoor pool. Breakfast was outstanding, made quickly and fresh for us every morning at the time of our choice. The pool and general atmosphere of the resort is lovely as if you are in a jungle. The hosts were always available and could arrange tuk tuks and always more than happy to help with anything. You will be happy you booked here. We would stay again in a heartbeat!

La piscina, el desayuno es bueno. Habitaciones amplias. El chico de 19 años que hace todas las tareas es muy eficiente. Nos facilitaron su vehículo para acercarnos al pueblo.

La cama tenia bastantes muelles. En el exterior falta iluminación y el camino para andar con el equipaje es incómodo

La piscina era genial, el bungalow también. Entorno muy bien cuidado. Lo regenta una familia muy agradable, pero no vayas con prisa, porque son poco personal y lentos.Ademas no entienden muy bien el inglés . El desayuno es muy bueno y abundante. Está un poco escondido entre caminos, y ellos mismos te avisan que por la noche no salgas caminando porque puedes encontrar elefantes hostiles. Nosotros alquilamos una moto y genial!

Wir haben 4 Nächte im Familienzimmer mit Privat Pool übernachtet. Den Privatpool haben wir kaum genutzt, da die große Pool Area (für alle Gäste) so schön war. Es gab ausreichend Liegen, Schattenplätze, und eine Art Baumhaus für die Kinder. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und frisch zubereitet, daher sollte man etwas Zeit mitbringen (das isr aber ganz normal in Sri Lanka). Ein tolles Restaurant: HAVEN GRILL ist fussläufig erreichbar (300m). Wie haben dort mehrfach sehr gut gegessen (authentische Küche, riesige Portionen, total liebes Personal). Um andere Restaurants zu erreichen haben wir einen Fahrer gebucht.

Der geschäftstüchtige Besitzer hat ein Partner-Restaurant, zu dem man umsonst gefahren wird. Das wird auch stark offeriert. Qualität der Speisen war nicht sehr gut und der Service hat sehr, sehr lange gedauert.

Difficulty in finding places to eat Water and electricity cuts - 2 hours without water.

Breakfast was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean with comfy bed, good aircon and nice plunge pool. The outside environment was nice and well kept. The hotel staff drove us out to dinner and picked us up after which was really helpful. They also did our laundry cheaply with a 24 hour turnaround.

The room was a bit on the small side.

Un joli hôtel de quelques chambres impeccables et très propres, au milieu de la jungle et autour d'une jolie piscine. Emplacement très bien, à quelques centaines de mètres des restaurants de Sirigiya. Plein d'endroits sympas pour se poser autour de la piscine, notamment un espace un peu cabane, les enfants ont beaucoup aimé. Petit déjeuner copieux et bon.

Le système d'ouverture par carte des portes de chambres est un désastre : absolument impossible d'ouvrir la porte du premier coup seul, il faut une formation de nos hôtes et s'entrainer plusieurs fois avant d'y arriver. Franchement pénible. L'accueil n'est pas de plus incroyables par rapport à ce que nous avons connu au Sri Lanka (un jeune déboule et nous donne notre clé), mais au moins c'est efficace, et nous avons toujours trouvé une oreille attentive lorsque nous avions des questions. Et la première impression quand on arrive est un bâtiment en travaux : cela serait prochainement le lobby et la salle de restaurant. En attendant, cela n'est pas super accueillant, et l'actuel espace restauration est clairement trop petit.

Upon arrival it looks like a house, then they take you to paradise, great pool with lots of seating areas and nooks including a n elevated tree house to sit and read by the pool. Location is great if you are exploring the rock. Room was great, we had a family room and slept 5 in easy.

We werden heel vriendelijk ontvangen en ook de service tijdens ons verblijf was super. Heel mooi en groot zwembad. Pluspunt is de poolbar waar we verse sapjes konden krijgen. Heel mooie en ruime kamer, met terras. Een aanrader voor gezinnen.

We hebben hier een geweldig verblijf gehad! De locatie is prachtig en heerlijk rustig, echt een fijne plek om te verblijven. De mensen waren ontzettend lief, vriendelijk en gastvrij. Ze stonden altijd voor ons klaar en waren erg behulpzaam wanneer we iets nodig hadden. Ook het eten was echt heerlijk, vers en met veel zorg bereid. Je kunt vanuit de accommodatie ook een safari boeken en die zou ik absoluut aanraden! Wij hebben dit gedaan en het was echt een geweldige ervaring en zeker een van de hoogtepunten van ons verblijf. We hebben ons hier vanaf het eerste moment erg welkom en op ons gemak gevoeld. Een prachtige plek met geweldige mensen, heerlijk eten en een fantastische safari. Zeker een aanrader!

De tuin en het zwembad zijn heel mooi. Ontbijt heel uitgebreid en lekker! Fijn zwembad met een poolbar die soms open is. Hele aardige mensen. Super Safari voor ons geregeld!

Het ligt in een stukje bosachtig gebied, heel mooi, maar ‘s avonds teruglopen is niet ongevaarlijk. Altijd iets van transport terug nemen.

De entree zag er veel minder uit dan de aaccomodatie zelf. Hierdoor is je eerste indruk minder goed. Wanneer je naar de huisjes loopt, kom je opeens in een hele mooie, groene omgeving. Als de entree er net zo uitgast zien als de rest, is het top!

Está muy cerca de Lion’s Rock. La habitación cómoda y bonita. Ofrecen muchos tours para visitar las plazas más turísticas (Lion’s Rock, Safari…) a buen precio.

El jacuzzi de la suite no es como en las fotos, quizás merezca más la pena coger la cabaña normal.

Prachtige locatie, een pareltje middenin de jungle, als je er heen rijdt verwacht je dit niet. Dit is echt een resort. Om de hoek bij lion rock, en met klein tuktuk ritje zo in de hoofdstraat voor winkeltjes/restaurants. Het ontbijt was echt fantastisch, nog niet eerder zo goed hier. Hele aardige mensen die je ook transparant helpen met tours oid (via hen naar Kaudulla en pituranga rock geweest).

This place is a decent shout if looking for a short stop in the area. The room does the job. The beds are comfortable and it has everything you need. The air con is a bit slow to get going but it gets there in the end and the front door didn’t close without being locked, but these are minor quibbles. And more then made up by the pool area, which is very good, and the general atmosphere around the hotel which I particularly enjoyed. All fine

The pool was lovely, the bar was accomodating, the privacy was really good. Breakfasts were amazing!

Check in could have been smoother. We were initially put off by a kid greeting us, but actually he was really nice, great English and really helpful. The building works at the front aren’t initially pleasing, but they don’t bother us when in the resort.

Eine wunderschöne Hotelanlage, welche mit viel Liebe zum Detail angelegt wurde.

Die Zimmerausstattung sollte überprüft werden, bevor Gäste ankommen. Duschschlauch war defekt und der Fön bei uns hat auch kaum noch Leistung gebracht.

Prachtige tuin en zwembad. Huisjes waren echt heel mooi en het ontbijt was voor ons het lekkerste tot nu toe in Sri Lanka. Jammer dat we er maar 1 nacht waren.

Les hôtes ont été très accueillant et très serviable tout au long du séjour. Maisonnette confortable. Petit déjeuner copieux. Coup de cœur sur la localisation et la piscine. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour, nous reviendrons !

La struttura è immersa nella natura, e il relax è immediato, con canti di moltissime specie di uccelli. La struttura è inoltre molto vicina a Lions Rock. Dal punto di vista logistico le distanze sono ottime. Purtroppo tutta la zona di Sigiriya soffre di un problema di tuk tuk e taxi, in quanto cancellano le corse chiamate su PickMe e stabiliscono quindi i loro prezzi. La struttura però mette a disposizione un servizio di tramite con un tuk tuk che può tornare utile.

I membri più giovani dello staff che gestiscono a tutti gli effetti la struttura, hanno peccato di mancanza di cortesia in alcune circostanze. In particolare, avevamo richiesto un early check-in e ci era stato accordato alle ore 11:00 (invece che alle 13:00), alle 14:00 la stanza non era ancora pronta. Il Wi-Fi funziona solo dentro la stanza e non riesce a servire nessun altro punto della struttura.

Vriendelijk personeel, prachtige omgeving waarin de huisjes staan, heerlijk ontbijt, prijs-kwaliteit zeer goed hotel. Ze brachten ons met de Tuktuk naar een supergezellig restaurant waar we heel lekker gegeten hebben.

Het personeel was heel vriendelijke maar niet altijd bereikbaar

Locatie was prima en de kamer was verzorgd. Gezellige plek en mooi zwembad.

Personeel was moeilijk te vinden en niet altijd even toegankelijk (bijvoorbeeld om een rol wc-papier te vragen). De poolbar was niet in gebruik. Heel moeilijke wifi, werkte bijna nooit. Bij aankomst kwam je precies bij iemand zijn huis binnen, er is geen lobby dus het was vrij onduidelijk waar we moesten zijn. Prijs-kwaliteit verhouding klopt niet. Te duur.

Dit was een uitstekend verblijf! Het zwembad is buitengewoon. Rustig gelegen en super goede bediening!
