A bit noisy on Saturday night due to a wedding party

I was in a twin room (28) and the beds were awful, the pillows were thin and the beds uncomfortable! Also, and I have asked this before, the TV needs updating to a smart set so we can log on and stream from our services!

The hotel is very clean and the shower was amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The mattress was very soft/uncomfortable. No fault of the hotel, but it's a bit farther out than expected, so keep this in mind when trying to plan nearby activities.

Very sophisticated situated in a university setting. Nice to have the feeling of being a student again just having a much higher standard as at the time then. Perfect stay and accomodation! Back again!!!

The breakfast was lovely, the location was far from where we were going and we had trouble getting taxis to the hotel, especially at night

The room was less basic than we had expected from a university room. It was spacious, clean and well equipped. We just stayed one night whilst attending a gig in MK and it was great. Good value, and the on-site bar was an added bonus. The only slight drawback for us was that, as the university is out in the countryside, getting taxis to and from MK, particularly getting back late at night, was a bit tricky, but that's clearly not the hotel's fault. Highly recommended.

Not the hotels fault but the uber prices from Milton Keynes Bowl were extortionate. If anyone stays at Mitchell Hall for this reason plan ahead and look at the buses.

Your hotel is clean, comfortable and well priced. The staff and facilities were polite and did what I needed. The location is close to where I wanted to be the following morning.

Reception open till late that is definitely an advantage the facility was very clean and well maintained. The breakfast was excellent,

There was a water pressure problem in the morning, it was an area wide issue did cause a problem. Communicated the issue to reception who were aware they informed us what the problem was it was beyond their control not spoil our stay.

It was a large and clean and comfortable place with very good food and staff were very good.

My room was a little small with a shower that had no soap although this was dealt with quickly. The shower was tiny and I had to duck to have a proper shower.

When I have stayed before on 2 other occasions price was reasonable same price. However price doubled which l felt was a bit unfair. When l looked for the dates after my stay they were back to original price.

Noises, my room was facing the main entrance people were hanging out till 3am Sunday morning then people were having a full blown conversation and moving chairs at 5am, as the room was not air conditioned but because of the outside noise I could not sleep with the windows open

We found the Staff so kind and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble for them, cleanliness to a very high standard, and a lovely ambiance in the hotel.

Everything about this hotel was great! From checkin through to departure. Breakfast was excellent- loads of choice, hot buffet all fresh on the hot plate. Welcoming staff, comfortable surroundings. Bedroom was adequate, bed was comfortable. Shower was hot and extremely powerful.

One critic if I had to was being in room 25 ground floor. 3 doors from the main door. Banging everytime somebody went through it. I think the soft close mechanism needs adjusting thats all.

Cleaning lady was lovely, very helpful. Breakfast was a good choice, take away boxes nice idea as I can’t eat in the morning

Tv could have been bigger

​Had a brilliant stay at Mitchell Hall. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and everything worked seamlessly. ​The real icing on the cake was the banquet buffet breakfast—all-you-can-eat and absolutely out of this world for the price. As a bonus, the vegetarian sausages were delightful! Incredible overall value for money. Highly recommended!

A smart TV for streaming would have been a nice bonus, but given the fantastic room rate, it's hard to complain!

The location was very nice and close enough to Milton Keynes for our trip. The room was small but comfortable and had what was needed for our stay. The shower was powerful, there was tea and coffee in the room as well as some biscuits, which are always a welcome addition! The breakfast was fabulous! Lots of choice of hot food and pastries, cereals, porridge and also hot chocolate and chocomilk to drink! Would definitely stay again

Stayed here for the F1. Quiet area which I appreciated after a busy day at track. Opposite a small shop and take away. Room had a kettle, coffee and biscuits replenished daily.

Had booked 2 twins and a double via booking .com, when arrived at Mitchel Hall 3 doubles Had been allocated, staff very helpful and accommodating, in providing at least 1 twin on ground floor for elderly relatives. Thank you.

Breakfast staff very polite, had to wait for bread to toast, unfortunately the Breakfast went cold, only 2 staff working at the time, serving and till.

We were pleasantly surprised by the communal areas with comfy seats, plants and art. The room was very clean and tidy and looked lovely. The curtains had wisely been left closed with the high temperatures and sun on that side of the building. The fan was much appreciated. The shower was superb. All the staff we met were polite and helpful. Special shout out to the lady doing the breakfasts in Reggie's (I think that was the name for the one opposite the reception) who was great at sorting out our veggie sausages and I enjoyed the chat about the various merits of the pastries too. We were pleased we'd added breakfast in. Ample parking and EV charger only a minute down the road. I'd definitely stay again and recommend.

Only two petty niggles. There was an encouragement to use the water stations with the little signs in the rooms but there was no description or map of where they were. We did find one eventually but equally we could have asked at reception to find it more easily. It was worth the hunt though with the hot weather. An option of different ordinary teas would be nice in case you're not a fan of the ones provided but that's me being super fussy. A quick walk to the shop and we were sorted - and plenty of options available.

The bedrooms are tiny. I’ve had a bigger room on a cruise ship. The walls are paper thin. I could hear children running up and down the corridor and shooting. Plus people coughing in a nearby room. When I say tiny, the extremely uncomfortable bed is a 4’ double. That fills the room. Barely room for an old fashioned desk beside the bed. For the price it is very poor value. Did I say the room was tiny. This hotel Is an ex RAF officers barracks. The rooms were designed as single officer accommodations. There has been no expense made in the beds. They are the cheapest of the cheap. Very uncomfortable. I booked a double for 2 people. Towels and tea etc were for 1 person. I had to ask for a 2nd set and was told they could give it to me to take up myself. There are no lifts in the property. There is no air conditioning in the room. They did provide a noisy fan. The shower room was decent. Good shower. Towels nice and fluffy and large. No USB chargers for phones or laptops.

The variety for breakfast was excellent.

The atmosphere on the Cranfield University campus was quite different from the budget chain hotels where we normally stay. Very relaxed and relaxing, The staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was well equipped - no air con but fan provided. The en suite was particularly well planned and everything was spotlessly clean. The restaurant and bar were very quiet when we were there in July, and the gardens were well kept with well spaced outdoor seating.

Emplacement très pratique pour visiter notre fils étudiant. Restaurant et petit déjeuner correct, il s'agit d'un hall pour étudiant. Personnel très bienveillant Le rapport qualité prix est imbattable certes, mais les chambres sont petites et le lit double est de 130 de large. Pour avoir des grandes chambres et 2 lits jumeaux il faut demander une chambre dans le bâtiment annexe bloc 1.

I probably stay once a month or so for work, and it is always comfortable and the staff and food are great. It meets my needs perfectly for the price.

Hotel smart clean..

No air conditioner really hot on the hottest day in the year. No windows were open

Originally accommodation for students the brick buildings have been given a new lease of life as a hotel, and the conversion has succeeded admirably. It is not a grand hotel, nor is it a tedious stack of identical bedrooms, yet there is something reassuringly solid about the place that lends it a friendly but purposeful character. The room was clean and comfortable with plenty of wardrobe space although it might have been a little cramped for longer stays. The en-suite was tidy and sparkling while parking for the bike was secluded but not totally secure. Altogether excellent value.

The evening meals were OK, but not exceptional, we didn't try breakfast. AC would also have been a bonus. The friendliness of the staff very much depended on which staff member was encountered.
