Homy Seafront Hostel

Hostel is clean and well managed. Basics are met. Filtered water,coffee, tea and bread available throughout. Common areas are clean.

The only downside is the noise from the nightclubs across the street!And somehow there is no room curtain to block the bright street lights.The individual curtains doesn’t cut it if you are sleeping on top bunk. Bring noise cancelling headphones and eye mask for better sleep.

It was in a great location close to the seafront and not far from all tourism hotspots. Easy to get a Grab around. Extremely clean room with good WiFi and aircon. Bathrooms were clean with separate showers and toilets. Staff were lovely and very helpful, we arrived early so left our bags at reception for the day. Comfy roomy bed.

I liked the location, beds, value for money and it was very clean.

I would rather the showers be separate for male and female. And also the common room was sometimes very loud late at night.

La habitación es pequeña para 4. Pensé que las vistas eran WOW pero el cristal de la ventana todo el dia esta empañado y no se ve nada.

I stayed at both Jiran and Homy hostel in KK, Homy is so nice, clean, modern, all the staff were great and it was just a generally better hostel

I much preferred the location of Jiran by Gaya Street, the noise from the waterfront nightlife was quite loud and kept me up at night

Si trova al quarto piano di un palazzo sicuramente non ben curato, il bagno condiviso delle donne non era sicuramente pulito (per gli standard italiani)

Everything - location was perfect, rooms/amenities/beds really good for the price, kitchen area with on tap toast so no worries about missing breakfast if you have an early flight, and best thing obviously the staff and their welcoming attitude.. I would rush to book here again if I was in the area

Budget friendly and comfortable stay, as what you see in the photos. Staffs are friendly and love to hangout at the common area with the view. 10/10 will stay here again

Facilities and very helpful staff

La posizione è ottima e la camera, pur essendo piccola, era pulita e luminosa grazie alla grande finestra con una splendida vista sul mare. I bagni comuni erano sempre puliti e ben organizzati, con aree separate per uomini e donne. Molto piacevole anche la sala comune, accogliente e ben curata. Il rapporto qualità-prezzo è davvero difficile da battere.

La colazione è piuttosto essenziale e completamente fai da te, quindi potrebbe non soddisfare chi cerca una maggiore varietà. Inoltre, trovare l'ingresso della struttura non è immediato e una segnaletica più chiara sarebbe sicuramente utile.

It was very very clean. New beds/ structures. Very nice common area. Great bathroom.

The air conditioning is constantly on at a very very low temperature. Even thought I turned it off, in was put on again and again. I got ill by the end of my stay because of how cold it was. I think the minimum temperature should be regulated.

The hostel is located by the sea, at a walking distance to sea front restaurants/bars and markets. Welcoming staff and very clean facilities.

背包房的床架很穩固，不太會互相影響 而且每個人都有可以上鎖的置物空間

The communal space was cosy. The location was convenient. There was complimentary toast and chocolate/jam for breakfast - it is self-service so you can help yourself to a late breakfast too.

The rooms are small (we stayed in a private double the first 2 nights and then moved up another private room as we extended our stay). The lighting in the rooms isn't amazing and the soundproofing is poor. The stairway and elevator aren't clean but these are not owned by the hostel. The entrance was slightly difficult to find but maybe I missed something in the instructions but it would be better if it was clearly communicated on booking.com. A local shop owner directed us.

Really nice Accomodation. Everything was very clean and looked after. Staff were lovely. Rooms were very comfortable and the shared bathrooms were very nice. The common areas were great. Very comfortable sofas to chill on. About a 10/15 min walk to the town.

Cleanest hostel I've ever stayed at! No issues with shared bathroom at all. Always seeing cleaners. Really friendly reception staff. They helped me book my snorkel trip for the morning after my arrival. Mattress in private room was really comfy and Aircon was really good. Good WiFi also.

It was difficult to find. It would be helpful to have some pictures and clear instructions on how to find the entrance as it is inside a shopping centre so you won't see it straight away when getting out of the taxi. Once I found it the signs were not obvious. I took the stairs instead of the lift and arrived at a door which was not the reception but the common room but there was nothing to tell me the reception was the next floor up so I was waiting for quite a while. The private room walls are quite thin, I could hear the person in room next to me snoring and some noise from the shared space outside so definitely bring ear plugs.

Very friendly clean safe and great location. Laundromat very close and food court downstairs so handy if it's raining. Highly recommend Homy hostel.

Das Personal ist mega freundlich. Man darf auch am Check out Tag, den ganzen Tag noch den Gemeinschaftraum nutzen und die Duschen. Kostenloses Wasser zum auffüllen der eigenen Wasserflaschen 24h.

市内の中心にありショッピングセンター、市場、夜市歩いてすぐ。ブルネイ行きのバスターミナルへも歩いて行けました。 いつもスタッフが掃除をしていて施設は清潔だった。 食パンとクラッカー、インスタントコーヒー等の軽食はあった。

トイレが男性だと1カ所しかなくて人数多いと大変だ。 衣類を干す場所がドミトリー内のハンガーしかなく水着とかはシャワールーム内で干しているのをよく見かけた。

Could do with 1 more toilet and maybe someone to sweep the bathroom in the evening as the floor was covered in hair and wasn’t nice to have to walk through with bare feet.

La chambre sans fenêtre est vraiment pour les personnes qui ne sont pas claustrophobes. On entend beaucoup les voisins. Le petit dej est léger.

Absolutely amazing hostel. Its the only place which made me feel at home during my hectic solo trip. Female doem specially has a great sea view right from the upper bunk. Washrooms are segregated for men and women. Women’s bathroom is impeccably clean and cozy. Bunk beds are super comfortable, soft and have all the basic amenities. There’s an amazing sea view from the common area. The staff are all incredibly friendly, available and helpful.

My place when I'm in Kota Kinabalu

The hostel is exceptionally clean it honestly feels like the staff are constantly cleaning and taking care of the place. The common area is cozy and well equipped, with a TV and comfortable bean bags to relax on. The bathrooms are spotless, and the mattresses are surprisingly comfortable! Every room has air conditioning, which makes the stay even better. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and there’s free access 24/7 to toast, jam, peanut butter, and other small snacks. Overall, an amazing place to stay!

Really great and comfortable hostel. Love the living area with beanbags and chairs to chill out and table with free breakfast all day! Dorms very comfortable with curtains and reading light. Staff so friendly

Shame there is only 2 toilets. Also location can be a bit loud with people shouting in the mall

Our room was small, a bit like Premier Inn vibe but extremely clean, shared bathroom and showers as well., great common area with cushions and beanbags

Although we got detailed instructions how to get there we still got lost !
